• Jacob (10/5): - An amazing place with a super staff. They can help plan different activities around the area, and are very helpful with any request. We had a great time staying there. Monkeys and a toucan just outside our room, and we went on a jungle hike to see sloths and other creatures just 10 minutes away. They’re very committed to sustainable living and eco tourism.
• Roger (10/5): - Our stay at Casitas Tenorio B&B was the highlight of our trip, if it were available for more nights we could have easily spent several more! The cabin was jungle rustic and also roomy, high ceilinged, spacious, clean, and well appointed - privately sited right in a rainforest parcel in a cozy little enclave of other cabins, trails and the main open reception/breakfast area (we had howler monkeys, a sloth, and amazing birds every single day in the trees above and at our cabin and from the rocking chairs and porches). Don't be concerned about the lack of AC - it was completely comfortable and oftentimes quite cool. Breakfasts were homemade traditional costa rican, including fresh juice and fruit plate - they even adjusted serving time to accommodate one if our early morning excursions. Nana and Jeff were lovely people and amazing hosts sharing their pup Dingo, stories of their farm, an umbrella during a rainy spell, and especially during our amazing homestay cooking class. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with a local neighbor family, being welcomed into their home, learning more about their culture, sharing laughs, and bonus...making (and eating) delicious empanadas and tamales by hand (our teenagers particularly enjoyed the empanada process). Such a special time to truly experince and support local tico way of life and meet beautiful people. A gem of a stay! 10/10.

• Beverley (8/5): Super helpful staff. - The management could not have been more helpful both in terms of arranging tours and assisting with a problem with our car. The wildlife that we saw each day at breakfast was stunning but breakfast itself was somewhat disappointing. We understand their bid to be very eco but only emptying bins in the rooms every 48 hours did not seem very hygienic.

• David (10/5): - A wonderful little B&B nestled in the rain forest. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We saw a sloth and tons of birds on property and they run a morning tour of the farm, including bunnies, chickens, and a cow (which we got to milk). The rooms were comfortable and going to sleep sounded like the jungle-setting on a sleep noise machine. It was amazing. The town is cute and has several restaurants with quick access to Parque Tenorio and Rio Celeste
• jana (10/5): - This is the second time my family and I have stayed in Casitas Tenorio. It is hands down one of my favorite places in Guanacaste. It is so convenient to see Rio Celeste and there are some fun places to eat around too. Nana and her husband are the best! If you plan to stay around Tenorio, this is the place to stay!

• Twila (10/5): ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS B&B and jungle!! - We absolutely LOVED this precious B&B. So tranquil, amazing setting, gorgeous room, etc!! We got to see monkeys, a toucan, and a baby sloth. It was AMAZING! My only regret is we only booked it for one night, as we were heading to the Arenal Volcano. Next time we plan to stay several nights!!! LOVED this adorable Casitas!
• Darren (10/5): - Great views from balcony. Very good breakfast. Wonderful staff. Not having ac in casita made for some humid and warm nights but worth it for the rest of the experience. Very close to Tenorio park and town of Bijagua was really nice.

• Neil (10/5): - Casitas Tenorio is an amazing place. Designed to stimulate your curiosity and then have answers to your questions. The common area has field guides, atlases, and all kinds of information to enhance your stay. We'd spot amazing wildlife and then try to find them in the guides. The farm tour was fantastic, and the food quality. Michelle in particular was wonderful and kind. I've already recommended it to several friends.

The hospitality was superb. Nana and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and gave us great advice about things in the area and throughout CR, we highly recommend this location.
• Natalia (10/5): - We had an amazing stay at Casitas Tenorio. Wish we had more than 1 day but we were just passing through. I would advise to stay at least 2-3 days. There is a lot to do and the village offers good dining options. We took the property hike at sunset and it was so beautiful. We also hiked to the the waterfall Rio Celeste about 20 min away from the property. Highly recommend that just be prepared for lots of steps. The staff were fantastic and the casita was perfect. We slept to the sounds of the forest and we woke up by the monkeys at 4:45…LOL we we didn’t mind. The breakfast was as delicious. The stay was absolutely perfect. We would love to come back.

We had a family of 5 howler monkeys greet us in the trees next to our casita. It was wonderful. Casita Tenorio is a nice quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature. I highly recommend this property.
• Beth (10/5): Favorite spot in Costa Rica! - Casitas Tenarios was amazing! It was our first stay in Costa Rica and our favorite. Nana and Michelle were so friendly and hospitable. We loved our casita. The property was beautiful. We saw howler monkeys and toucans came down during breakfast. Walter (a young weekend worker) took us on a tour of the farm. We fed the goats and milked a cow. It was truly amazing. I wish we stayed here longer.
• Michelle (10/5): - This was our 1st time to Costa Rica and the 1st place we were staying. On our arrival we were greeted by Nana (Manager) and she spent 20 minutes with us telling us about the casita's, local restaurants, tours, vegetation and wildlife. The casita's are private, clean and roomy. There is a common area that you are welcome to use 24/7, they have games and books that you can borrow and a gift shop. We highly recommend buying the locally made jam. We were able to watch about 10 Howler Monkeys playing in the trees one afternoon, 2 sloths were right outside our casita and we saw a Tucan. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. There is a gate at the entrance that is closed after 7 but guests are given a fob so they can come and go as they please. Very secure and safe. Great little hike at the property. The road up to the B&B is very bumpy, while a 4X4 is not needed be careful if you are driving a car. It is a 5 minute drive from hanging bridges. About 15 minutes to Jungle Life (see sloths, frogs, Toucans). About 25 minutes to Rio Celeste. We would recommend eating at La Choza de Maiz. There are a couple grocery stores in Town (about 5 min drive). Great little place to relax and really feel like you are in the jungle.
• Mary (10/5): - Our stay at Casitas Tenorio was simply lovely! The property is beautiful - so remote and lush. We loved the walking trail and even spotted some howler monkeys along the way. Nana and the whole staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast with the birds and squirrels was delightful! Will definitely be back 😃
• Lauryn (8/5): - Pros- Nicest doggos- whisky and bingo Breakfast was delicious and changed Option to get takeaway delivered to you and you can eat on the balcony of your casitas which we loved. Quiet and secluded. Area was nice- quite local and non touristy Casitas was clean and had a lot of amenities that were well thought about- umbrellas, bug spray, disinfectant, some toiletries, swinging chairs on balcony which we loved. Lovely gift shop Cons- Can't be helped because there was storm but we had no hot water or electricity for an evening and early morning. It didn't bother us and we still showered and got a brilliant breakfast so we were happy. The whole town had no power! Road is quite bumpy but again can't be helped. You may want a higher clearance vehicles for some parts but we saw locals in low sedans go up so I'm sure it would be fine!
• Sonia (10/5): - WOW. This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica, and quite frankly any tropical destination we've been to. The rooms are out of this world surrounded by nature in which we saw a sloth, howler monkey, and a toucan amongst other birds by simply walking the grounds of the hotel. Very clean, comfortable and tidy. I wish I could live there full time. Breakfast is wonderful with such nice views of animals and birds that come by to eat the bananas. We saw many species of birds. The staff are kind and caring in pure Costa Rican pleasure, and the owner is clearly passionate and genuine in caring for your comfort. Location is great to explore Rio Celeste and Volcano Tenorio Park. We drove in from Liberia airport and it was a good normal drive in. We also ate at a few local restaurants and had our best meals while in Costa Rica there - genuine authentic food. Be sure to pack for a purpose at this hotel, by bringing a few gently used or new items to donate to the local school children - super easy to do, and a great way to give back! • Kendra (10/5): - The photos do not do this place justice. Incredible getaway. A rural luxury. The rooms were beautiful and the main lodge was picturesque. Only downside is that the wifi doesn’t work in the rooms but that is OK! It gives you a chance to get away. Oh, the road there is very rough so be prepared.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing property with beautiful villas. The reception area is gorgeous and offered a delicious breakfast. The farm was a great activity for families and the trail to walk and explore was beautiful. We even saw a sloth! We definitely plan on returning in the future
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Fresh off of a flight from the US, I have to admit we were taken aback when we first arrived at Las Casitas Tenorio. “Nana” checked us in and kept switching paths to our casita saying there were coral snakes obstructing the way. We were also jumpy at the amount of bugs in our casita. That said, it is a magical place with howler monkeys swinging in the trees above your head, a nature channel’s worth of bird viewing at breakfast, lovely informative interactions with the amazing staff, and a sloth hanging out in the tree above our car. DO NOT miss the Tapir Valley night tour led by the property’s endearing owner, Donald, and his precocious daughter. By the end of our 4 day stay, we were cured of a lifetime of phobia towards bugs, snakes and other creepy crawlers. Also, make sure you do the following day activities: whitewater tubing at Rio Celeste (with Onca Tours), the Tree Chocolate Tour, hiking the Tenorio volcano and the hanging bridges.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an absolute gem of a property and I would urge anyone visiting Costa Rica to make Casitas Tenorio part of their trip - it's such a lovely, authentic experience with wonderful staff, beautiful rooms and a idyllic setting. We saw SO much wildlife during our stay there. The living area with its open balcony to the forest is an incredible spot to watch the wildlife whilst eating breakfast or drinking coffee. The property has a trail where we saw a sloth. The farm on the property serves up fresh milk for breakfast and my kids loved the experience of visiting the farm and milking the cows. The staff are fantastic and incredibly helpful - we met Donald the owner who took us the most fabulous nature tour at his other business, the Tapir Valley Nature Reserve (you must do this if you stay here). I cannot recommend this B&B more highly. It really was the absolute highlight of our trip and my only regret was that we didn't stay here longer.

Our casita was completely surrounded by jungle and we were able to watch birds and howler monkeys from our deck. The casita was comfortable and nicely furnished. We were far enough from the main house for privacy but also close enough for a quick walk over to watch the birds from the lobby and get on the wifi. Great place, nice people, lots of wildlife!

Ours had a private deck that faced the jungle garden. There was a sloth visable from our deck and we lost count of the number of bird varieties at the banana feeder. Amazing!

They explained many elements fo the culture, plants, wildlife and available activities. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The Breakfast was extremely delicious and abundant. We saw different wildlife on the property daily including three types of monkeys, sloth, coati and numerous types of birds. We helped out with thier Pack for a Purpose program by bringing supplies for the schools they support and would encourge you to do the same.

The rooms are very nice, (no AC) , but the altitude and breeze makes it very comfortable. We walked the trails on the property and saw toucans and a sloth as well as other colorful birds.
• Susan (10/5): Paradise - This property was by far our favorite of all the places we stayed in Costa Rica. So much so that I am afraid if I write too much, the prices will go up and it will be booked the next time we want to go there. Run by an Australian/Costa Rican couple who volunteer and help the local community in numerous ways, their staff kindly answered our questions, helped us order dinner from a local restaurant, made a delicious breakfast to match our dietary needs, and more. Our room (a little "cabin") was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated! Our favorite part of our stay was breakfast, sitting on a porch and watching beautiful birds of all colors and sizes coming to feed meters away. What a gem! We wish we could have stayed here longer.

Our hosts we're delightful. It was our daughters 13th birthday and our host got a cake on very short notice and the whole place sang. Unforgettable!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful B&B in the middle of the jungle - A lovely experience in Bijagua. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, inside and outside of the hotel. There's plenty of activities to do nearby and a lot of delicious food. The hotel was very nice, it was designed to give guests an experience of the jungle and give them space from the other guests. It's very private and comfortable. I recommend sitting outside your cabin and observing the wide variety of birds that fly by. We got to see a few toucans and a lot of other birds. There is no phone in the room and no food at the hotel besides breakfast. Might be good to have food ready before it gets dark.
