Marg (9/5): Great spot, Enjoyed it - Everything in one spot. There was a restaurant with table service which was very nice, reasonably priced and with smaller size serves available. Best though was the very helpful and friendly staff. Prompt and friendly check in. We could not find the free TV channels on the TV in the room and the duty manager very willingly and promptly came up and reset the TV for us. Someone had logged onto Google TV so it had to be reset. We were very grateful. Also offered to assist with taking bags upstairs. The hotel was busy and lots going on yet it still had the 'old' pub feel. Make sure you check out the original tiles at reception. Wonderful. Overall a great spot. To be aware of rather than 'not like' -all rooms are upstairs and no lift so stairs only however very solid hand rails and it is part of it being an 'old' pub

Very old vibe, needs upgrade like down stairs. Need elevator, staircase old, carpet old. Upstairs smelt musty, old smokey. Was not impressed with the upstairs bedroom layout.

HAYLEY (7/5): - Lovely clean little room with everything you need for an overnight stay. Very quiet considering the rooms are smack bang on top of the pub. The bottle bins could've been emptied a bit later than 7ish am on a Sunday 😆😆

It is on the second floor of the building and a staircase, no lift. I only had an overnight bag, but for people with mobility issues could be problematic.

First night Friday could not get a table In restaurant and we both thought the male staff member rolled his eyes as if to say don’t you know you have to book.So we went to the Thai restaurant the second night we got a friendly waitress at hotel and had a lovely meal.

I used 2 different rooms 2 person and 3 person for last night by myself and no extra charge actually discounted. Beds shower etc. lovely first room 10 lovely too but advised staff about noise every 30 mins like boosting up they were reporting It. Bars and restaurant etc amazing! Individual service outstanding! Needs lift to second story. I had to ring for Manager when checking in and out. it would be good If manager could be there downstairs at check in and checkout times 10 and 2.

Karen (5/5): While I appreciate the clean and comfortable accommodation, I would recommend considering your tolerance for noise befor - The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel’s location was convenient for exploring the area Lovely room attendants. My stay was marred by noise issues. The hotel is located above a pub and there’s another pub across the street, which made it difficult to sleep. On Friday night, I was disturbed by loud noises from the next room, where I heard a guest vomiting at 3a. Similarly, on Saturday night there was disturbing noise from someone vomiting outside at 11pm

Burkay (10/5): - The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They kindly provided us with a late check-out, which we really appreciated. There was a complimentary offer of two free drinks at the bar & restaurant, which was a lovely touch. The venue is high quality and well maintained, and the modern TV in the room added extra comfort. We would also like to give a special thanks to Riley and Tom, who work in the pub area — they were very kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

DM (1/5): No Sleep Due to Loud Music from Bar on First Floor in Same Building - The music was blaring from the bar downstairs in the same building. Finally, at about 1 AM when I could not tolerate it anymore I went down and talked to the hotel manager and he said he would turn it down. It may have been turned down for 15 minutes, but it went right back up until 2:30 AM and I had to get up at 4 AM for a flight. There is a notification card in the hotel room that reads, “In the unlikely event that your neighbor is making too much noise please call the front desk.” So obviously the hotel knows there is a problem with the music from the bar on the first floor of the building. Also, there is no phone in the room to call the front desk and the front desk is not manned, as the night manager hangs out in the bar. I did not have a local phone number, so I had to go downstairs in my pajamas and look for the manager to complain. Again, despite my complaint, the music may have been reduced for 15 minutes at the most. I would never stay here again. I don’t recommend staying ant the Manly unless you’re there to party all night because unless you are hard of hearing, you likely will be unable to sleep well - if at all.
