• pinfield (7/5): - Marari beach villas are a minutes walk to the beach which has numerous eating places . A small shop is close by to get treats and staples . Staff were very friendly , helpful and informative and always close at hand. Breakfast was really good and varied and other meals available but a little pricy for what you got .They lent me a yoga mat and drinking water always available . I enjoyed my stay which was very comfortable and met some lovely people. My room was a little small and quite basic , but it was clean and quite cozy ..Nearest toilet and shower was two floors below.

• Frank Michael (9/5): Eigentlich 10, aber halt nur eigentlich - Rundum so, wie auch schon in den anderen positiven Bewertungen beschrieben. Nah zum Meer, gutes abwechslungsreiches gutes Frühstück, tolle Anlage, der Besitzer ein super Typ, Bus Haltestelle nach Arthunkal oder Cherthala bzw nach Alappuzha ist um die Ecke. Kleine Shops bzw. Restaurants ebenso. Der Preis für das Einzelzimmer ist fair, allerdings ist die Toilette / Bad eine Etage tiefer. Also alles super bis auf: Siehe unten. Frank, Aufenthalt gesamt 6 Tage Habe mich am ersten Abend überzeugen lassen Fisch mit Beilagen im Haus selbst zu essen. Es war auch unbestritten lecker. Auf der Tafel im Hof wurde er als Fisch, Art Chef angepriesen. Ohne Preis, wie auch die übrigen sechs Gerichte. Habe erst am Abfahrtstag die Summe erfahren. 1600 Rupien. OK, es war Seer Fisch (2 Stücke, aber nicht unbedingt groß), in keinem anderen Restaurant der Umgebung war er so teuer. Ich war froh, hier nur einmal gegessen zu haben. Also, vorher fragen und dann entscheiden. Habe gedacht, dass ist nur bei den TukTuk Fahrern notwendig. Speisezafel ohne Preis, da hätten die Alarmglocken klingeln müssen. Fand das unfair. Geht besser auswärts essen.

• Keith (10/5): 10 day chill out - Location was spot on. A few yards from the beach. In safe area. Cafe on the beach at end of walk way. Three good restaurants in easy walk. Food at the Villa's excellent 👌. Different breakfast each day and the evening meals we had were supper, especially the morning we went to the fishing harbour and Raju bought fish, crab and prawns which were cooked for the evening meal 👍 We stayed 10 nights and could of easily stayed longer. Such a relaxed vibe. Sun beds on beach available at 300 rupees a day for two with umbrella. Despite reviews you can swim in the sea. Depending on the wave height. The beach goes on forever in both directions. Great for early and late evening walks. All the family and staff we met were very friendly and it's clear Raju really cares about the area and community playing a key role in representing the local fishermens interests. Will hopefully be back again for an extended stay. If you go don't rush by take time to chill. Nothing

• Charline (10/5): Exceptional - Marari Beach Villas is a lovely homestay in a pretty big building which has a nice 70ies style vibe. The hosts are super helpful and generous, I really loved the breakfast and dinner at the homestay. It is also very conveniently located, being only a stonethrow away from a nice stretch of the beach. Overall, this place was very inviting and I would come back!

The location is a one minute walk from the beach, the rooms are very spacious ans very lovely, the courtyard is a nice place for relaxation. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace, and everyday there is a different home cooked speciality from the Kerala tradition, fresh fruit, and western style toast with butter and jam. Fabulous. The owners are the most kind and helpful hosts, and they truly made me feel at home. Thank you so much for your kindness! I definitely give Marari Beach Villas 5 stars. Everything is just perfect!

All the info at Booking.com is misleading. The misleading information on Booking.com; our room supposed to be a Double Deluxe, nothing deluxe about it. Advertised as having a tv with all the satelites channels, no tv! Mini bar, NO mini bar. We payed the extra comparing with others accomodation for these little luxuries and had none. Nowhere to but luggage but in the extra bed that came with room. No tea, no coffe inside the room and we've been told we could do it upstairs. No way of making it. NO SEA VIEW as advertised, you have to walk to the middle of the courtyard where all the other guest houses are to have a glimpse of the sea. No...not worth the money. The atitude of the owner even more irritable; money grabber! We would have the deservedly discount for the misleading info if we cancelled our booking which we were not prepare to do. 🤦🤷‍♂️ Ask for free beers has my husband received for misleading info. Ohh.... almost forgot to mention; do we really need to see 282 phots of people smileying ? And hardly any of rooms and bathrooms???? You better off go to another accomodation as we did. Totally different experience.

• Marja (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifull and well kept family place with garden and hammocks. Stayed there for x-mas and enjoyed their party with cake and toddy a lot! Raju and his family make you feel most welcome. Also liked the breakfast a lot. Short stroll to the beach were you can hire sunbed/umbrella and find 2 restaurants. The single room is quite small. But this was fine because outside on the terrace there is a big table where you can sit.

• Ricardo (8/5): Marari Beach - Nice stay right near Marari Beach. We opted for the A/C room but honestly the power of the unit is weak and we were pretty much left with just a ceiling fan. The breakfast was very substantial and cooked with local ingredients including the coffee which the owner has delivered from Munnar weekly. He even got us some local coconut wine which was wet interesting and scrumptious! Good people running a nice establishment! The beach was pretty rough so we were unable to swim.
• Girish (6/5): A good weekend stay - Enjoyable stay but costly for the services offered. No road to the place and no parking facility. You may take a chance driving on sand but chances are that you will get bogged down or burn ur clutch plate. No problem for a 4 wheeled drive. Food is not good and served cold. Lovely and friendly owners all out to help and make your stay comfortable. Thanks to both but attending a course on hospitality management would help in bringing professionalism The Beach is neat, clean , lovely and never ending stretch of white sand
