- Gloria (10/5): Excellent. Fabulous stay. An ideal location for a visit to and exploring Powys. - Beautiful property and well maintained in keeping with its historical past and location in classic, mid rural Wales. Tim & Helen were wonderful hosts and very accomodating. Warm and very welcoming.
Definitely great value for money.
- Richard (10/5): Tim and Helen are wonderful hosts and it was an absolute pleasure to stay at their B&BB. - The breakfast was really lovely, really good to have home made marmalade, quince
membrillo etc. The room was superb, beautifully decorated. The bathroom is excellent a really large size and what really makes it they provide a proper bath sized towel that you can wrap round yourself while getting dried! Also the tapas in the evenings was a great change from going out to a pub and really tasty. Nothing.
- Tamara (9/5): Lovely stay - A lovely stay at the old vicarage
The continental breakfast was delicious and a nice variety
Rooms were clean and comfy -
- Dean (9/5): Pleasant and welcoming - Lovely old house and pleasant owner A bit remote for something to eat but that’s my fault for not looking at the map when I booked

- Tim (10/5): A beautiful rural retreat in the heart of Mid Wales — outstanding breakfast, spotless rooms, welcoming hosts, and even a - Returning for a second stay, the Old Vicarage continues to impress. Ideally situated for exploring Mid Wales, it offers a stunning rural setting, spacious and immaculate rooms, and genuinely warm and welcoming owners. Breakfast is a highlight — freshly prepared with home-made produce and well worth waking up for. Practical touches like secure parking and an overnight chargeable EV charging point are a bonus for travelling guests. This is, without doubt, my go-to B&B whenever I’m touring Mid Wales
- Suzanne (9/5): Very nice and very friendly people Helan and Tim and great porridge. - Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, met veel uit eigen tuin of omgeving, de havermout pap was ook erg lekker.
De bedden waren ook van goede kwaliteit en het uitzicht was fantastisch.
- Amanda (10/5): Gorgeous accommodation in a peaceful location. - Welcoming hosts and a beautiful location. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed so comfortable. Stunning views & peaceful. There was nothing to dislike
- Emma (8/5): - A very high quality continental breakfast The bed was very comfortable, with great pillows. The only downside was the bedroom was a bit chilly, but dressing gowns are provided

- Jirattikan (10/5): - Lovely place and clean Nothing

Would recommend 👌
- Philip (10/5): Comfy, welcoming bed and breakfast where the hosts get all the important details right. - The room was very comfortable and I appreciated the spacious bathroom. It had plenty of space to lay out toiletries and essentials and the shower maintained a steady temperature. So many times I've experienced showers that are either too hot or too cold.
The hosts were very welcoming and provided a tasty breakfast, with a good selection of cereals, cold cuts, fish, and vegetarian options.
I'd stay again if the opportunity arose. Nothing.
- Emma (8/5): - Lovely room
- Janith (10/5): Cosy farmhouse bed and breakfast in the beautiful Welsh countryside. - We had very comfortable rooms with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside. The bathrooms were super clean and very well-maintained. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious and had several high quality options in terms of both food and drink. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend! Had to be there by 9pm.

- Sarah (8/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Jane (9/5): - Fantastic breakfast, great location with views
- Gerhard (9/5): Luxury stay in a beautiful setting - Beautiful clean luxurious comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very hospitable hosts. Road can be noisy.
- Elad (9/5): Amazing establishment when traveling in Wales. - Everything was so lovely! This is a wonderful B&B for family in the travel. Breakfast was amazing. The landlord and landlady are so nice and accommodating. I would love to spend more nights in that awesome place. There are two small problems:
1. The wifi in one of the rooms we had was rather weak.
2. The road to the B&B is a very narrow two way road. A bit scary...
- Sian (10/5): -
- Laura (10/5): Comfortable, characterful with a very delicious breakfast - It was clean, characterful and comfortable Liked everything
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous place with lovely owners and a generous breakfast bouffet, loved it!

- Deborah (9/5): Beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, comfy and professional. - Beautiful setting, clean and comfy
- Andrea (10/5): Comfortable and clean room - My room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious and the couple who run the B&B were very friendly.
- Eleanor (8/5): Brilliant countryside stay in close proximity to Newtown and Plas Dinam - Brilliant stay in close distance to Plas Dinam (wedding venue) for our weekend in Wales.
Check in was very easy - greeted by Tim on arrival and shown our room. We had booked the 2x bedroom apartment and our guests were not arriving until much later, Tim was very welcoming and happy for us to come and go as we please. Surroundings were beautiful, we loved being woken up to the sound of sheep baa'ing! Stand out was breakfast - both Tim and Helen made us feel very welcome each morning with a delicious spread of food. Homemade jams and breads, salmon and eggs, cakes, cheeses, pots of tea and coffee - everything we could've possibly needed before a long day ahead. The rooms were tastefully decorated and came complete with all the comforts: kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits, robes and water. Bathroom was also a good size considering it was being shared by the 4 of us adults. The property is a short drive to Newtown and we felt safe leaving our cars parked outside the property when we headed out. Overall, a lovely stay at The Old Vicarage Dolfor and thanks to Tim and Helen for their hospitality. Can't think of anything that could've been improved. Great value for money.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Quiet quality stay. - Beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Quiet location. Tasty breakfast. Nothing
- Margaret (10/5): - Excellent stay, Tim and Helen made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was well presented with lots of hospitality extras and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Although the breakfast is only a continental (which suited us perfectly) there was a fantastic choice with the addition of lovely homemade bread/toast. Not sure when, but we will definitely be going back there when we're in the area.
- Sherin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): A wonderful place to recharge batteries but somewhat isolated - a car is essential. - Peaceful and comfortable. The spacious lounge with its comfortable seats was a bonus, as were the outside seats - being able to sit outside in a tranquil garden on a warm spring evening was a lovely way to end the day. The breakfast choice was limited - no eggs for example, but I liked the toasted home baked bread and lashings of coffee were available.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): Great location, property and hosts -
- Steve (10/5): Wonderful B&B in an idyllic location. I will definitely return. - Beautiful location and an absolute delight of a B&B.
Incredible attention to detail. High quality fixtures and fittings, a wonderfully comfortable bed and exceptional service.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Tim and Helen were really hospitable, welcomed the lads with open arms and fed and catered for us the whole time we were there.
Any questions were answered with a smile.
Really enjoyed the stay.
- Helen (10/5): Would return for the breakfast alone. - I have some allergies and am vegetarian. Generally breakfasts are uninspiring. Tim and Helen's breakfasts are fantastic. This is my second stay here and this time I also partook in the Evening Mezze which was equally fantastic. They are both welcoming and couldn't do enough for me.
Beds, sheets and pillows are so soft and comfy to sleep in. Lovely views of the rolling hills.
I loved the little touches of facewipes, cotton buds etc in the bathroom. I can't think of anything.
- John (10/5): We will go back if we are ever anywhere near - We liked it all, especially the quality of the bedroom and bathroom and their fittings, the beautiful location, the way we were looked after by Tim and the excellent breakfast Nothing, really
- Marie (9/5): Needed a nearby base for a training course, to save an early morning start. This property fitted the bill perfectly, wo - Loved the drive to the property, the scenery is stunning. Love historical buildings and the rooms were just how an old vicarage should be.
The cold mezze plate (vegetarian) was outstanding, very glad I preordered one A little bit too warm for me. I didn’t know how to turn the thermostat down, and as it was the middle of the night, I let the hosts slumber on
- Trefor (9/5): Superb - Fantastic breakfast.
- Rachael (10/5): Lovely stay at the Old Vicarage - We stayed with our young son. The rooms are gorgeously decorated and the beds are very comfy. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Susan (9/5): A lovely house, great location with views, comfortable, clean, excellent value for money. - Continental breakfast was wonderful. plenty of choice - fresh local quality produce, attentive host in a dining room where we could watch the squirrels and pheasants wander by in the garden.
Bedrooms were lovely with comfortable bed, luxury bedding and welsh woollen throws. Everywhere was completely clean.
Total peace and quiet in the house, and outside in the large garden. We have only stayed in winter, (visiting friends in area). but a spring or summer break would - I am sure - be lovely. Room heating may not have been on long before our check in time, (early evening) and heating to radiator went off completely during the night so that the room was quite cold in early morning. Heating clicked on but took a while to build, so morning shower was not very tempting. This is an old house with large rooms so understandable. We visited in winter.
- Katie (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent bed and breakfast amazing breakfast Better light at night in the car park
- Julie (10/5): Great find in the beautiful countryside - Beautiful location , comfortable bed

- Jeremy (10/5): Lively spot, peaceful and beautiful. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. - Great location slightly out of town but very easy tinget into town. Good hearty breakfast. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Ev Car charging a real bonus for overnight charging
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The whole area, location, staff were really nice to visit Nothing
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable two nights with a most enjoyable continental buffet breakfast to start each day No dislikes
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Lovely room, lovely old property, stunning snow views, No cooked breakfast option
Big cobwebs in the room
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Due to my work being cancelled I didn't actually stay the night but returned home instead. However on having seen my room I'm sure it would have been very comfortable.
- William (10/5): Great bed and Breakfast - Very comfortable, great bed, Very clean. cannot find any fault with the accommodation. breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, including gluten free options if needed.

- Lanette (10/5): One of the best places we’ve ever stayed! - This beautiful old home is right in the middle of Wales. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. They really thought of everything you could possibly want or need for a wonderful stay. Their yummy breakfast and lovely dining room exceeded all expectations and they even had some amazing gluten free options for our friend who needed them. We couldn’t have been happier with our visit.
You can even schedule ahead to use their EV charger. Not a thing to improve upon.

- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -

- Thi (10/5): Beautiful B&B, lovely hosts, comfy room and delicious breakfast. - The setting was beautiful, everything about the property was perfect!
The room was so cute and comfy, I could tell the hosts put a lot of efforts and thoughts to make sure the guest has everything they need in there.
The property has a charge point as well and honestly it saved me so much time to go somewhere else, my car almost died it was 18% battery left!
The breakfast was delicious, so many things to choose from. The hot chocolate was so nice.
And finally the hosts were a wonderful couple, they let me check in early to do my work and were very friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much, I will come back with my family next time.

- Mikebickley1 (10/5): Exceptional from start to finish. - Everything! Hosts, location, room, breakfast, facilities (even the Welsh weather this time) were all exceptional. Nothing. Genuinely can't of anything to improve!
- Steven (9/5): Great stay in a lovely area, I would defo stay here again. - The grounds were nice and surroundings. Really comfy bed and duvet. Breakfast was nice. Owners welcoming. I felt the shower in our room should have been more powerful.
An option of a cooked breakfast would be a great addition.
- Djbart (8/5): Very comfortable bed and breakfast - Couple running this place are friendly and helpful, breakfast albeit cold food only is generous and great with homemade bread and cakes. Our room was a very good size which was perfect for getting ready for a wedding. At night it was super quiet and the bed was very comfortable resulting in a great nights sleep It’s a bit far out of town which was only option to find evening food as the one village pub was booked out, taxis seem quite scarce in the area so someone has to be duty driver to get an evening meal or reach the wedding venue
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Mario (10/5): - Wunderschön gelegenes B&B, sehr nette Betreiber, tolles Frühstück. Wundervoller Ausblick auf grüne Hügel mit Schafen und Kühen.
- Roger (9/5): Top of the range! - Top of the range B&B! Excellent communications made for a smooth and welcoming reception. Very helpful local knowledge and suggestions. Very well appointed facilities impeccably presented. The quality and variety of foodstuffs available for the continental breakfast was outstanding! Loved the local and homemade items. Lovely grounds in a very pretty rural environment. The hours of operation are quite limited and somewhat restrictive - pay attention to the emails and notices.
- Emmanuel (9/5): Superb -
