It’s located near the Paju Artist Village, which is a charming area with plenty to explore. While it's away from the center, this offers a quieter atmosphere, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it convenient for meals and essentials. The room itself was large and spacious, with a big TV, and the staff was polite, despite the language barrier. However, there were several drawbacks. First, the front desk staff did not speak any English, which made communication difficult. While the room was large, there was no clothes storage at all, no closet, drawers, or armoire, so I had to leave my clothes in my suitcase on the floor. The oversized two-person bathtub from another era, seemed unnecessary and wasn’t eco-friendly. A proper shower instead of the wet room-style would have made better use of the space and been more comfortable. The sad dark blue paint could use a refresh. Other elements that seemed stuck in the past included the tiny, outdated mini fridge, confusing light switches, and a strange picture frame heater. There was an ancient sterilizer in the room, but oddly, no microwave. The mattress was encased in a plastic cover, which wasn’t very comfortable, and there was a slight smell of urine coming from the bed. Overall, the hotel felt like a time capsule from the late 70s, charming in some ways but in need of significant updates.
