Guest Reviews
- Pankaj (10/5): - Clean, large rooms All good
- Kelley (9/5): - The Inn was very clean.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The price was a bit high for the ammenities
- Tim (7/5): It was fine - It was a good visit everyone was kind and helpful I couldn’t stay until Wednesday had to leave for home 750 miles missed 1 night I paid for because my wife was in bad health couldn’t get a refund for the missed day
- lucy (8/5): - 4 pillows instead of 3. extra blanket , i'm cold natured and the hubby hot natured
- Adam (10/5): - Very nice and clean and very nice people Nothing not to like
- Abraham (1/5): - Parking The room. It smells. The staff were a bit rude. Unhelpful I asked for an extra folding bed of I payed for the extra person and they claim they did not have any, or they said they would give me extra pillow the next day, ridiculous of which I already had paid for same day.
- Russell (3/5): - Person was not friendly, virtuous, helpful etc
- JeepJose (8/5): - So Close To the badlands Off Roading Park, Staff is always Nice, Rooms Are Super Clean. n/a
- Bruce (10/5): - I had a very nice stay. Quiet restful sleep. I would stay here again.
- Jared (2/5): Stay away if you can. - Front desk person/possibly the owner was on a personal phone call the entire check in. I was called at 7am Thursday to see what time I would be there. I could not understand a word he said. When I arrived one of the only things he said was no pets and no smoking. I replied I’m here for work and I don’t smoke. As soon as I arrived to the room all I could smell was pets and old aged cigarette smoke in the room. I call him immediately and he said I would need to leave. There is no hotels close to the area and it would have left me with no time to sleep before work. I documented the times and events if needed. At 1230 sharp after my complaint I started to smell a very harmful amount of smoke that was clearly burning incense in my room. This gave me the a very bad headache. I was basically being smoked out for complaining about the smell. Towels in the bathroom were stained brown and the bed comforter had a tear in it. There was so much dust and signs of the lack of care. 170$ is over 100$ more than I would expect to pay to stay in this room. This is a scam because they know they are the only local place to stay there on hotels .com. Even the keycard and it’s paper holder were uncleaned and reused. How cheap does a hotel have to be to reuse a paper card sleeve? Obviously there is a lot more but this is by far the worst stay I have had in years. I travel for work and I know what bad is and this was beyond bad. Hopefully they can clean the place up. Or charge 50$ instead.
- Daniel (10/5): - Clean room. Nice to have mini-fridge and microwave in room. Odd to not have any tissues in the room. Bed comforter was super slippery and often slid off the bed during the night.
- Marcelino (10/5): Well kept motel at Attica Inn. - I was pleasantly surprised how clean and modern this motel is. Well kept and clean.
Mr. Al, thank you for your hospitality and made my stay very comfortable. Sept. 19-21, 2025. Spartan Race at Badlands.
- Jane (7/5): - There was no breakfast
- Seifner (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable and qujet. Price was a little high.
- Yanhui (7/5): Quite location - room is spacious Full bed, hope they have queen bed
- Tina (10/5): - Such a clean property. Owner and staff were super nice and sweet.
- Gary (10/5): -
- JeepJose (10/5): - Perfect Parking, Perfect Area, AC Amazing, Clean Bathroom. The Pillows are Not good
- 1no (6/5): Pleasant -
- Powell (10/5): Exceptional - Location was very close to our destination Bedspread was too light, needed more blankets
- Melissa (10/5): - Hotel was very clean! Was pleasantly surprised. The beds were pretty hard though so if you like firm beds you are good but pretty nice stay
- Molly (8/5): Great place to stay, Attica is a pleasant town! - It was clean! Water pressure in the shower was great! The only complaint we had is that we like comforters when we sleep and there was only a sheet and a very thin bedspread. Everything else was great!
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (10/5): - Good location for Attica. Safe and convenient.
- Kim (5/5): Passable - Everything was very clean. Shower head, mattress, bed cover, tv - awful.
- Zac (6/5): - Older hotel but decent, thin walls and there was no cable TV when we stayed nov 1st 2024. Paid a lot of money to stay here due to everyone was sold out due to a concert that was going on in West Lafayette on Purdue campus,
Jessie Murph was playing that night we ended up paying around $200 to stay and a $20 pet fee. Not my best stay. Then the next morning before we left, the owner just opens our door and started to come in because he thought we would be gone!? Won't go back most likely
- Beal (3/5): Spend the extra money for better accommodations! - Price Beds like sleeping on the springs, bed spread stained no TV, smells moldy
- Karen (4/5): It was ok. Not having a tv that worked was a big negative for us. Blankets are a basic requirement i - Room was clean. Location ok for our needs. Tv didn’t work in any of the rooms. No blankets on the bed or in our room. Exposed wires on the phone cord in our room.
- Ricky (2/5): Don’t stay - Nothing The rooms had a musty smell We asked the manger not to go in our room to clean as we had expensive equipment in there We drove over 4hrs with our dog and cat to be told no pets Manger said pets allowed upon approval which was not posted on booking or their website and forced us to spend additional money to find a place for the dog and cat to stay and manger was rude about the pets
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Jendruczek (8/5): Very good - It's a small hotel in a small town that's known for the offroad park. So it's nothing fancy, so it is what is to be expected and serves the purpose perfectly. I appreciate that the white sheets have a hint of bleach smell meaning that they're clean. I hate the bedding and towels. The bedding it straight out of the 70s and is just fabric no warmth or coziness at all. Again, it doesn't need to be fancy just not that itchy raw fabric. Changing those out would completely change up the room and comfort score. The mattress is nothing to brag about but I've had way worse and for the price it's acceptable but that just upgrade to a better THIN comfortor and BAM PERFECT! The towels, mine had strings hanging on the edges, not a big deal but maybe upgrade and replace the ragged ones.
- Mcfadden (7/5): Good -
- Jeepjose (10/5): Exceptional - close To Town
- Jaicee (4/5): - Gave away a room without even notifying the people first. Put them in a smaller room. No notice until after they did it. Then was very rude about it.
- Andrea (2/5): - Staff rude, beds were uncomfortable, would not recommend
- Duane (9/5): In town for a concert, great location and clean comfortable room. - Very clean and comfortable Nothing
- Chad (6/5): - Room was clean. Had a musty odor upon arrival. Carpets in main hallway need to be stretched out.
- Kari (8/5): Very good - Nice and clean
- Cynthia (6/5): Pleasant - People were hospitable, kind, and friendly. My daughter's had a difficult time regulating room temp. The beds and facilities are dated.
- Khylee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (6/5): - Clean
- Vincent (7/5): Good -
- Melisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Seth (4/5): It was ok - It was private. Not crowded It was musty. The attendant smelled like weed and was hard to understand
- Nikhil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Clean - Small little hotel, nothing fancy but it is clean. We stay every year when visiting family. Basic room, clean, cheap.
- Polly (10/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- Casey (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Masten (10/5): Nice hotel staff was excellent, would stay again. - Location great to Badlands Park.
Room very clean. No pool for hot days.
- Ott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (8/5): Great value, just out of Attica. Great location to Badlands ATV park - Bathroom should have a vanity around the sink
- Kurt (10/5): - Nice
- Maureen (5/5): Easy check in and out, staff were friendly, good budget stay, the rest of the room seemed clean enough. The building is - It was exactly where I needed to stay for a wedding nearby. There were two beds in my room, one was dirty. There were peanut crumbs left on the bedding. So I used the other bed but it made me think the room wasn’t clean.
- Amanda (6/5): Ok for the price - Our room was clean and tidy. The beds were only full size and not comfortable. The air conditioning worked, but not very well. The room had a musty smell.
- Carl (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Clean, comfortable room at a very good price. - No breakfast, but we knew that. Clean comfortable room, close to the Badlands offroad park. Very reasonable rates, we stay here at least once a year.
- Walker (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): - Worked well for what we needed!
- Brad (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (6/5): Overnight stay in Attica - We stayed one night to attend the Jeep Academy the next day. The hotel is the only one in town and is very old and can use a remodel. The beds are very old and very uncomfortable! The comforter on the bed was stained. The hotel itself was quiet and was good for one night, but not my first choice.
- Benefiel (9/5): Superb -
- Reggie Luis (10/5): - Everything was extremely clean. Very easy to check in & out and the property manager was very accommodating. Will definitely book again if given the opportunity.
- Martha (10/5): Nice place to stay - Room was nice and clean. The bathroom was newly redone. This is an older hotel but still very comfortable for an overnight stay. One of the few places not overly gouging on the price during our trip to see the eclipse.
- Russell (4/5): - No thrill hotel, dirty microwave taped up handle. No place to put anything in the bathroom, no lobby with coffee or snacks.
- Robert (10/5): - Only downside friends tools were stolen out if his suv front desk said they couldn’t access cameras guy sleeping in parking lot in yellow cobalt is a thief beware
- Charles (10/5): Very clean. - A basic place to stay. Just bed, bath, TV, Wifi, and minifridge. Very clean. Everything seemed to be almost new. I will be back.
- Jeff (5/5): Passable - The beds
- Linda (10/5): - Cleanliness, ease of check-in
- Alex (8/5): Very nice stay. - This is a nice place to stay. It's a little old but it is the best kept hotel I think I have ever stayed at. I have stayed here several times and will be back.
- Aimee (10/5): Recommend to anyone looking in the area - Clean, comfortable, good location. Must be on crawl space. Low walking.
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (10/5): Hidden Gem - Well worth the price! Clean, comfortable, plenty of parking. There is no breakfast, but the price is half of the places in Lafayette, and there is a McDonald's near by. It is a short, pleasant drive to Purdue.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Victor (10/5): - Better than we were expecting. Nice guy. Clean place. Wish they had a smart tv though.
- Byron (10/5): It was a very enjoyable short stay--a great property- honestly one of the best places we have stayed - We were so impressed with the Attica Inn. It had a very fresh smell-- VERY clean and neat and even quiet! The price was unbelievable--- a fantastic value!! Can't think of anything!
- Richard (7/5): Good - Good value and good places to eat close by for breakfast.
- Steven (10/5): Stayed here before and loved it - They had breakfast??
- Roger (7/5): I arrived the night before i booked and was charged $101.00 from 8pm a till the next day - It was in a good location for where we went.Bathroom was a good size. TV was small
Had a problem with bed bugs and all they did was regular service
I was charged $101.00 for 1 night when i got there a day early when rooms are advertised at $70.00 a night
- Mike (10/5): What is deer hunting? Very close to the property I was hunting perfect - Seem very secure parking lot lit up good! All good
- Fonda (5/5): Dog also barked loudly early morning and woke us up. Owners nice but will not stay there again. - No breakfast, location was perfect. VERY noisy. Could hear guy in room next to us snoring. Lots of late night activity, including adults yelling and running in hallway outside our room. Some one had a large pit bull that growled at us.
- Dale (7/5): It was better than I expected. - The rooms were clean and fresh. Looked to be recently renovated. The bed was uncomfortable. The refrigerator was turned off. How can I keep my things cold if the refrigerator is off?
No breakfast. For the price I kinda expected breakfast.
- Stroud (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): I will go back and stay - Clean and rooms were large No breakfast
- Michael (8/5): Good place to stay and good value. - Clean and comfortable. Good value. Family run and they do a good job. Ample parking Walls are thin between rooms.
- Tyler (8/5): Very good -
- Spicer (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Moldy smelling rooms, no updating, uncoordinated decor, coffee maker in bathroom, not worth the cost.
- Betsy (7/5): Good for a one night sleep. - Fair price, large bathroom. The beds were way too soft. Even my kids noticed.
- Michael (8/5): - Most things were good. The TV in our room didn't work. But other than that it was good.
- David (8/5): - Nice place clean
- David (7/5): Good -
- Brandon (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kevin (1/5): Buy a tent. Buy a camper. Find a big box. DONT STAY HERE - The only motel option near the Badlands Off-Road Park. The smell, goodness this place smells terrible. The mattresses are from the 70’s, broken and scary. Don’t sleep near the edges, you’ll roll right off the bed. Carpet is really gross and stained. Shower head sprays water on the wall instead of down into tub where it should go. Toilet seats are so old the paint is worn off you can see the wood, which looks like poop and dirt, that’s not fun, having to get real close to a strange toilet seat to determine it’s not poop, just really old. The bedding (top decorative cover) is literally from the 70’s, straight off the Brady Bunch, and stained in several areas. Window do open, all the screens are torn. Lawnmowers just sit outside by the doors. Yard chemicals are just sitting around, empty and full containers. Some trash has sat outside so long it’s now grown over with weeds. “Lobby” is full of broken vacuum cleaners and trash. Broken a/c units sitting outside. This is a few short months from looking like a full landfill. The staff hides in their on site apartment…have to yell for help when your door key doesn’t work, which is several times a day. Staff is not able to communicate, thick language barrier. And the smell….omg, the smell. I’m glad I travelled with Lysol and air fresheners…I used a brand new can in 24 hours. It’s so musty, mildewed, rotten smelling, dirty, and gross here. I checked the beds for bugs…none…but even feeling like we should look was gross. This is the only place to stay near the Badlands, we would have found other options if there was any. It’s so bad, we came home early and lost the money for one night.
- Jinge (10/5): - peaceful and beautiful town
- Mike (4/5): Disappointing - Location Had to open window to air out room, musty smell
- Beaver (7/5): Good - This is a no frills place to spend the night at a reasonable price. Pillows need to be upgraded.
- Erin (8/5): Very good - Hotel was nicer than expected. Had all the amenities of a big hotel chain. Musty smell was the only drawback.
- Nelson (9/5): Superb -
