- tea (10/5): この宿で日本人の人情の真を再認識しました。 - ロケーションの交通便の良さに超満足。JR函館駅、朝市が徒歩５分。路面電車の停留所もすぐそばで、見どころに行きやすかった。家族経営50年の民宿で、設備のメンテナンスや清掃が行き届いていた。ご長男はPCのエキスパートではないけれど、私のPCの不調を直してくださって大変助かった。ご長男を含め、スタッフ一同の対応が優しく、親切、丁寧でした。再度函館に来ることがあれば、マイホームはココです。 バスルームのアメニティーズの種類が豊富すぎるのでは。少し減らせばゲストがモノを置くスペースができます。洗髪シャンプー、リンス、ボディーソープ、ハンドソープが其々一種あれば十分。素肌メンテ品はゲストの自己責任で、宿が備え付ける必要ないかと。至れり尽くせり過ぎかも。これはネガティブな批判ではありません。益々のご発展を！

- Emma (10/5): - What can I say? Hakodate is a town full of spa resort hotels which I'm sure are all luxurious and enjoyable. But this is a chance to stay somewhere you will never forget. The decor is fun and wild, the whole place just feels like (and I think is) an extension of a home. The beds were classic japanese style and comfortable. We had our own bathroom but the shared bathrooms had a fully traditional seated bath which next time I would love to use. All amenities (towels tea bathrobes heat/aircon) were there. Room larger than you expect from Japan. And the staff were the heart of the place - upon leaving the man checking us out gave us a bag of treats and checked the weather in our next destination in the newspaper. And all of this for an incredible price and spotlessly clean. English is enough to do everything you would need. If you have made it to Hokkaido don't miss the chance to experience this place - you can stay in a resort hotel anywhere! Nothing.

The owners are very friendly and helpful - even gave us some recommendations for transportation and such. Our room was on the second floor, and the owners were also very happy to help with moving the luggage up and down.

J'ai adoré la couverture chauffante et trouver un bon bain chaud tous les soirs après mes excursions. Les serviettes de bain étaient changées tous les jours. La situation de l'hôtel fait qu'il est proche des bus locaux, de la gare et d'un supermarché. Le rapport qualité/prix est donc vraiment incroyable ! Le personnel est aussi très professionnel et très gentil. Petit plus : J'ai beaucoup aimé la gentille attention lors de mon départ, j'ai reçu un paquet de Snacks que j'ai pu consommer dans l'avion. C'était vraiment appréciable. Je reviendrai sans hésiter ici si je dois revenir à Hakodate.

- Nonoka (10/5): ヴィンテージ感あるレトロ宿！ - 駅から遠くないところ！そしてオーナーさんがとっても穏やかで親切でした^^ ちょうど共同のシャワールームが修理中との事で無料でアップグレードして貰えました。とても快適でした！ ひとり旅だったのですが、お出迎えの時の対応がとても優しくて嬉しかったです。 9月上旬に行ったのですが、夜は肌寒かったのでもう少し寝具を分厚くしていただけると嬉しかったです…！

- Ping Cheng (10/5): - 家庭式的旅館，老闆真的是太親切，整體的服務是最高的水準，在這裡度過了非常舒服的兩個晚上，絕對是下次還會想來回住的旅館 房間小了一點，但是完全不影響住宿的舒適度

- 史樹 (10/5): - 部屋、トイレ、廊下は清潔 風呂は改善の余地あり。建物も古いと思われ、内装は手が入っているが外装も手直ししたら良い。スタッフの印象が弱いのでなるべくフロントに人がいるようにしたら良い。概ね静かだし立地も良いのでお勧めです。

- Miko (10/5): Just what I needed - I really like the uniqueness of the place. I booked the room with my own bathroom. The bed was comfy too. Everything was clean and towels were given to me every day. I liked that it was close to the station. I would stay here again when I plan to come back to Hakodate. Nothing.
- Meenakshi (7/5): Not a best fit for sound and smell sensitive people. - The pension is close to JR Hakodate Station and the central bus stand, which makes it very convenient for getting around the city. The bedding was comfortable, and the amenities provided were good for the price. Overall, it was a budget-friendly stay and not a bad experience. If you're sensitive to smell or sound, this place might not be the best fit. There was a strange smell throughout the building, while opening the windows in the room helped a bit, the smell in the hallway and reception area was quite strong and hard to ignore. Also, there's a constant sound of water flowing, which got louder at night. The place isn’t generally noisy, but that particular sound was a bit distracting and made it harder to sleep.

- Lim (6/5): Good for a night stay, not longer - Location. Room is clean. Supply of skincare and toiletries. Private on site car park can park 11 seats van. Service staffs are helpful and polite. No lift. Room is small but decent for 2 pax to open 2 luggages not comfortable for 3pax
- Jim (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly and helpful staff..they arranged our ferry to Aomori for us. Comfortable Japanese style bedrooms, good washroom and hot bath. Eclectic reception/ sitting area. Very economical, and highly recommended
- Pongsakorn (9/5): Good stay - Owners were super friendly. Location is good within walking distance to the main train station and the market. Value for money is very high. We opted for the shared bathroom, which was clean all the time. Rooms were too small and the place doesn't look tidy.

- YOW HUNG (10/5): CP值高 - 一開始覺得房子外觀似乎是很舊的，但飯店主人盡心的維持，整潔度很高，窗戶也可以打開，尤其他們家的貓真是太可愛了，房間裡面衛浴非常的新穎，房間窗戶可以打開這個我最喜歡… 離JR函館站走路5分鐘就可以到，非常方便 整個感覺蠻溫馨的有家的感覺，最後當我們check out離開的時候，應該是老闆娘，還送我們一包日本在地的點心，很用心的包裝，真是太開心了
- Brucebridgestock (9/5): Enjoyable stay in central Hakodate - Very helpful and friendly owner. Quirky design and decoration. Very clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Good functional en suite bathroom. Good value for the price, very central in Hakodate, a short walk from the train station, tram line and bus station. We then rented a car and the Pension has private parking spaces under the rooms. The room is small and it was tricky at first as we had two large suitcases, but once we had stowed things away we got a working system in the space.

- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - They were so lovely and helpful,especially when I needed help booking a ferry. The room was so cozy and lots of little homely touches. Very clean, in fact it was spotless! Only 5 minutes walk from train station. Gave me a gift bag of Japanese snacks when I left.
- Yoosang (8/5): - 전반적으로 매우 만족스러운 숙소였습니다. 하코다테역에서 도보로 얼마 걸리지 않는 곳에 있어 움직이기 편합니다.숙소 바로 앞에는 편의점이 없지만 하코다테역 옆에 있는 로손, 또는 동쪽으로 좀 들어가면 나오는 세븐일레븐을 이용하시면 좋습니다. 직원 분들이 모두 친절하셔서 기분 좋게 묵고 갈 수 있었습니다. 리셉션 보시는 분이 영어도 가능하셔서 소통에 불편함을 겪지도 않았습니다. 화장실은 남녀 모두 2층에 있지만 공용 목욕탕은 목욕탕은 여탕은 2층, 남탕은 1층에 위치해 있습니다. 목욕탕의 넓이가 꽤 좁아서 모르는 사람과 함께 씻기에 편할 정도의 거리를 확보할 수는 없었습니다. 또 세탁기는 구비되어 있지만 건조기가 없으므로 인근 빨래방을 이용하셔야 합니다. 제공되는 비품 중에 유카타가 있으니 참고하시면 좋겠습니다. 장롱에 이불이 더 있었지만 저는 기본으로 나와 있는 침구로도 충분히 푹신해서 더 꺼내지는 않았습니다. 체크아웃을 할 때 자그마한 과자를 종류별로 선물해 주시면서 일본어로 인사를 해 주셨습니다. 제 일본어 실력이 미숙해서 잘 알아듣지는 못했지만 그래도 덕분에 따뜻한 마음으로 하코다테를 떠날 수 있었습니다.
- Janice (10/5): I so loved my stay in Hakodate heaps to see and do but this property was truly the icing on the cake for me. Truly uniqu - Very quirky, loads of character, definitely not like a sterile hotel. Thoughtful, delightful staff sent directions with pictures and gave me a goodbye gift of goodies to eat on the train. Location excellent easy 5 min walk from train station and local buses. Warm and very comfortable in my traditional Japanese room. Bedding super comfortable and warm. Max Value supermarket close by. TV, fridge, kettle, private bathroom everything I could possibly need and use of a microwave. Loads of restaurants, cafes within easy walking distance. Fabulous place! Nothing!

- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous hosts and a beautifully unique stay - The most amazing hosts you will ever find! Sooo kind and helpful and they even gave a lovely snack pack to each of our 3 daughters! The room was the perfect size and I had the best night’s sleep - the futons were the most comfortable I have ever had and such cosy pillows! We came here after reading the reviews and seeing the decor and we just loved everything about our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

- Elina (10/5): Exceptional - I wouldn’t exaggerate if I said that this hotel is my favorite in Japan. It was our second stay here, we stayed in Puppy Tail last fall and rebooked it for our second trip to Hakodate without any doubts. The staff is friendly, the amenities are exceptional, the vibe is literally immaculate. Staying here feels like staying at your grandparents in the best sense, very cozy and comfortable.
