They were nice enough to place my room in the back by the grassy area since I had a dog with me. I had to get up early and move my car since they were resurfacing the parking lot. But that was an exception that wouldn't normally happen. They were very nice a bout it.

When combined with exceptionally friendly service, meticulous cleaning and quiet, you have everything needed for a lovely country visit. And of course you have amazing State parks and sites an easy drive away.

Even tho everything was nice and clean, morning breakfast which is normally really good was rushed and burnt. With little to choose from. I think the crowd before us wiped him out of food and he rushed to prepare all the breakfast foods again by himself.

(Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and potatoes and many other options)They used real dishes and silverware. Real glass drinking glasses in the room as well. Plenty of coffee packets in the room so we didnt have to always ask for more. Appliances worked perfectly and were.clean. Just a nice overall experience.

Friendly owners who show genuine hospitality. Very nostalgic place. No complaints

Very comfortable, cold AC, plenty of room, coffee maker, microwave, dorm size fridge, charging stations for phones. We all felt safe here and enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast, not a large selection but very good. My parents used to love staying at these road side hotels and I can see why. Walking distance to a BBQ restaurant which was fantastic! And a Save A Lot across the road. It is also about 20 mins from Johnson Shut Inn park and many other attractions and stuff going on. We just loved it and made plans to return in August!

There apparently was a boil order but they never told us guests until next morning and only because I came in to office. Friends made coffee with tap water…. I would suggest some hooks in the bathroom.

- 657patriciak (10/5): Quaint hotel - We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite. It was very nice. It has a full kitchen, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with utensils, pots, silverware and glassware. There is a living room area with a 42" TV, a sofa and recliner, plus a desk and two end tables. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a 42" screen TV, plus two night stands and a dresser. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi big enough for 1 person. The bathroom sink is on the outside of the bathroom. There's a back door which leads to a sitting area where there is a small creek. They serve a small hot breakfast in the morning from 7-10. The one thing I will mention is that this particular room is not wheelchair friendly. I also thought deadbolts should be added on both doors for extra security.

- Wendy (10/5): I would definitely stay again! - It was very close to everything that we want to do. We watched the Battle of Pilot Knob, Elephant Rocks and the Johnson shuts in while there. The staff was friendly and the housekeeper even informed us when we had left our keys in the door. When we went to leave our car wouldn't start and they were able to jump start our car right away which made us very happy! The room was over our expectations. There was a grill out back and a table. We didn't get to use the grill but if we stayed again we would definitely take advantage of that. There is a little stream that runs behind it with a bench to sit on. It was very relaxing to sit there. The restaurant on site was AWESOME! We fell in love with their cherry and cherry glaze BBQ sauce! We had to buy some to take home with us. There was not really anything we did not like.
