Krystal (8/5): Super close to airport - I arrived around 9:45 and they couldn’t locate my original reservation. They said they couldn’t find me and didn’t have my reservation. After looking she found the reservation I had made almost 2 months ago she said it was their mistake. Even though they didn’t have my type of room available they were able to accommodate me with another room. After that everything was perfect

The shared bathroom was coed and not very private so I didn’t love that and I didn’t really go around the area, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much as you’re just near the airport and that’s the convenience of it. The people were kind and it’s a really good place if you want to be near the airport

Jennette (8/5): Better than expected service after hours - This hostel helped me out when my initial booking fell through in the middle of the night. They picked me up on short notice at the Aurora Intl Airport and I got a nice private room with a shower bathroom that was not shared. The breakfast provided was large and filling, and they helped me get my luggage to the Antigua shuttle. Very nice people and I would stay here again.

BARBARA (8/5): - This is an incredibly tiny hole in the wall hostel. But it's clean, the tiny rooms have everything you need. And of course - it's walking distance to the airport.
Helen (8/5): - this was the perfect place to stay for one night before an early flight. It was clean, basic and had a very reliable free airport shuttle running hourly from 4am-midnight, or for a small fee if you need it between midnight and 4am.

Sarah (6/5): - I booked this place primarily for the free airport shuttle as i was arriving into Guatemala at 11pm and didn’t feel it safe to taxi alone at that time. The shuttle service pickup was great, but the shuttles going to the airport were not exactly as advertised (they had changed the times and cut down the shuttles) so communicate directly with them about this - I ended up having to Uber anyways unfortunately. I paid more money for a private room and it was not worth it. The room was shabby overall, dirty walls, bugs, uncomfy bed. For the price point of the private rooms you can find something much nicer in the city. The staff were nice and this place may be worth it if you are just staying in the dorms, but not worth it for private rooms.

This was a perfect choice, very close to the airport, free shuttle, and reasonable. The family running it was wonderful, although my interaction was limited to check in and then the morning shuttle.

Ashley (8/5): 3min from the Airport - An excellent family operated hostel. A 3 min drive from the airport with complimentary pick up and drop off. Breakfast is included and comes with eggs, beans, fruit, bread and coffee. Be sure to request for a room in the back as aircraft noise until 1am and road traffic from 5:30am will make it impossible to sleep. Might also be difficult to dine near the hostel as it is licated in a residential area. However, meals can be ordered in. Overall, good for a transit stay close to the airport in a safe location.

This place was great! We had a shared bunk room that luckily no one else was in. The family who own and run the place are fantastic and you feel at home. They also helped us coordinate a ride to Antigua the next morning on Christmas! Great place

This family owned hostel brought a welcome atmosphere with friendly service and good food. I will stay here again. It is literally 1 minute from the airport. A bonus, the daughter/receptionist speaks very good English.

Daniel (10/5): Highly Recommended for the Budget Traveler - I was picked up at the airport by the very friendly bilingual owner. It is a casual family-style place. It seemed like many of the other renters live there full-time. The family-style breakfast was a delicious traditional Guatemalan breakfast with eggs, fried plantains, black beans, fresh cheese, and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable with a large flat-screen television. The Internet was a bit spotty from my room.

Ronny (10/5): Guatefriends - great for the early flights! - Nice bed and breakfast for the red eye flights. The airport shuttle service is complimentary. I called them prior to my arrival, letting them know I would be there late for check in and confirming the shuttle time/availability. It was a 3 minute ride from there. Rooms are small and very clean, beds are very basic which was to be expected, so no complaints. Overall a great value for the price and convenience. Staff is helpful and polite.
