- Cherie (4/5): - Didn't use the air conditioning, but the baseboard heater worked well. They didn't have comfortable chairs to sit in. The bed was okay. The room was clean. Very, very rustic and dark.

Location was great, highly recommend the pizza place next door and the gas station next door on the other side was super convenient. The front desk receptionist was lovely and let us store our luggage there after checkout as we had heard that there were break ins at trailheads on the north cascades highway. Lots of hang out areas on the property both inside and outside so great for groups. Overall a peaceful area to stay!

- Amenda (8/5): - Clean no frill roomy place to stay for almost a week. Kitchenette is great for us. I’d recommend bring own mobile WiFi or WiFi signal booster if plan to work online. But I will definitely come back here again in the heartbeat.

- Shelly (10/5): - Cozy , comfortable and a place to sit outside and observe the serenity . Nearby water, green trees , blue skies, staff even filled a big bag of ice for our drinks! Clean room with a cozy atmosphere. Was able to walk to a tasty pizza parlor, and watch a movie at a renovated barn theater. Was absolutely a joy!
- Debbie (10/5): - The cabin was spacious with a lovely view of the river from the small balcony. Everything was clean and the mattress was comfortable. We were on the second floor- warning, only access was stairs so request ground level if needed. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
- Laurie (8/5): - Cute cabin facilities right next door to groceries and an amazing dog friendly pizza place. Lots of fun things to do right there at the resort. Family run. Front desk closed early on us but there is an emergency number we could have used if needed. We left behind a pillow and they called to let us know. The cabins could use some updates but the price was so good we were not overly concerned about that.
- Gregory (10/5): - This was a really nice quiet and rustic place right on a clear trout stream just on the eastern side of the Cascades. There were plenty of dining options and there was a great pizza joint adjacent to the property. The only negative I can think of was that many of the electrical outlets needed replacing as they were pretty loose It was a fun stop though and worth the cost

- Alan (10/5): - Our 2nd floor room had a view of the beautiful Methow River. We liked all the games and equipment that the Virginian Inn has for the family, including ping pong and badminton. I was also happy to learn after our stay that BB King once stayed at the Virginian Inn.

- Rocio A (6/5): Glamping? - Stay was ok, I knew it be just an inn but it’s in a much older condition that I thought. Not clean and of course there are spider webs and flies/moths that kept getting inside. No refrigerator (I should have looked that up prior) at least they had a coffee maker for my tea for hot water. You can also hear all the footsteps and noise level from second floor. This noise also woke us up at 5am when neighbors were getting ready. It was like camping but with a bed.Again, I didn’t expect much but this was even more rustic than expected. Just glad my partner was patient on this one.

We were not able to ask any questions about the area like where to eat dinner or breakfast the next morning. Key was in an envelope with our name. We were told if we checked in after 6 this would happen. Room was very spacious but walls are very thin. We could hear people around us.

We loved the feel of the wooden wall, and that the room had a bathtub. (the cabin only had a shower). the river is lovely, the place is quiet, enjoying local culture in nearby Winthrop was fun. We enjoyed a hike to a local waterfall in Winthrop and also a lovely hike in nearby Twisp. Mostly, we enjoyed a slow paced break.

They had a great lounge area, but closed it at 5 pm, so we couldn't play our board games there. No coffee/breakfast option available as they are renovating the dining area off the lobby.

The alarm on the a/c and the hot cabin woke us up at 4AM ehich is unfortunate because we had a long day of hiking ahead of us and would have appreciated more sleep.

Nonetheless, it's an easy walk to the center of town on a paved path with several dining and shopping options. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, staff was excellent, parking was a breeze. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

We didn’t eat any of the food, but it was disappointing to not watch TV when we got home, the bathroom floors and bathtub were quite dirty, and the power went out with no generator, which was OK because it was at night, but it was disappointing when I had to go to the bathroom with no light.

Best thing is the shower heads are tall so if your over 6’ you can wash your hair with ease. Simple idea under standing some people are tall and if you lift the shower head both tall and short people can use it.

We left before the office opened and the card I used to book was expired, but the staff that called to get the new card was very nice and understanding.

- Ivanna (10/5): - Very cute, cabin style room. It is clean, toiletries provided. Easy check in, close to grocery stores and a pizza place. Overall close to downtown. Great place and most of all affordable
- Lynne (10/5): - The hotel contacted us about our original booking in March, letting us know that a Value Room does not include amenities, and we needed a fridge. We thought it amazing that they contacted and told us this! They let us upgrade to a Standard room. When we arrived in July, the room had a double/queen? bed, and we needed a king, which we had originally booked in the Value Room. The staff didn't hesitate to let us switch rooms, and we ended up with the perfect room for us! We loved the log interior and decor. Sent photos to friends immediately. Everything was clean and cozy. It was quiet and relaxing. We could walk our little dog outside the back of our room by the river. This is so much better than staying in the town, where things are crowded. It's only 1-2 miles from "downtown," but we are not "crowd people!" Great place to stay, even for one night.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Virginian was functional and clean enough. Furniture and carpets were shabby. Beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy but all in all it was serviceable.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay at The Virginian Resort - We had a great one-night stay at The Virginian Resort. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy, with a comfy bed and strong AC. Loved the outdoor seating by the creek—perfect for enjoying pizza from next door. Super convenient location with a store right nearby. Would definitely come back!
