- deborah (10/5): - Great views of ocean and mountain, very unique tree house feel, great sleeping option, private,
- Linda (10/5): Beautiful little treehouse. - Unique cabin that made you feel like you are in a treehouse. Beautiful views. Comfortable bed. Larger shower than most of the cabins we stayed in Alaska. Washer & dryer worked well. Multiple challenging stairs. If you have bad knees, park by the painted bus to skip the first staircase.
- Juliana (10/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): Lovely views and cozy stay - We really enjoyed our stay at the Moose Caboose Station. The views were absolutely stunning. The room has tons of space and everything we needed and more. Evelyn was very welcoming and helpful! The location is great, its right off the main road, easy to find, just a quick 10 minute drive down to the spit to get to your fishing boat. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. Homer was one of the highlights of our trip!

- Teresa (8/5): Adventure Alaska Cabins - The Canyon Cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is not for seniors, handicapped or small children due to open stairwell and ladder access to the loft. The bathroom is on the lower level so using the stairs is necessary.
- JoAnn (10/5): - Cute property, beautiful views in quite area.
- Andrey (10/5): Exceptional -

- Emmanuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Awesome time. - Great location, beautiful views, comfortable bed, friendly dog & cat!! The deck was awesome. Alot of steep steps, but knew that ahead of time. Some things could be updated.
- Karen (10/5): - We were fortunate to be able to stay in the Upper Moose Caboose and loved it for so many reasons. The actual train car was not only quite unique, but had all the creature comforts including satellite tv and full kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the view from the large deck, kitchen and bedroom was breathtaking. The location was close to town and not far from Bishops beach and the Spit. Evelyn the innkeeper was very attentive and even got the hot tub ready for us to use. She communicated easy directions, and was available if needed.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely view from every room.
- Melanie (10/5): - This was the most amazing place to stay for our time in Homer! It was comfortable, clean, and unique! I will be back!!!
- Brandt (10/5): - Fantastic stay.! Will be going back for sure!! Thank you so much!!
- Jillian (10/5): Adult tree house with ocean and Mountain View’s - Gorgeous location. It’s a multi tier house built into the side of the bluff overlooking the ocean. It was our adult tree house for a night. The gravel and rail tie stairs leading down to the property were a SERIOUS workout both up and down. Not for the faint of heart
- Jim (8/5): Very good - This modern convention of making the beds so high off the floor is crazy :)
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (9/5): Fantastic visit with wonderful accommodations, lord willing we will be back. - Breakfast was not included. Loved the location and the view. Was blessed the first morning with a young moose walking outside the bedroom window then later in the visit met the owners dog, Scarlett and kitty Dactyl. Really enjoyed our stay. Was close to everything and perfect for our purpose. We ended up with more than a bag of trash and didn't have another to use once it was full (we were leaving the following morning) and ran out of toilet paper the day before our departure.
- Pattaraporn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doanh (8/5): - The hotel wasn’t up to standard conditions.
- Brittney (10/5): - Great location, super responsive, adorable cabins. I will bring my family back here!
- arianna (8/5): Homer in March - Adorable little rental with an amazing view. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. Stairs were a bit steep for my mom who was traveling with me for this trip.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - The host was very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we had. The property sits in a beautiful setting with a gorgeous view. It was a a very quiet location. Thank you! There were a couple of items that needed maintenance, but the owner was very responsive about those items.
- Shaira (10/5): If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful time for yourself - this is the place! - I spent a night at Alaska Adventure Cabins (AAC) on the weekend of January 10-11, 2025. I needed a break from my very stressful job and chose to spend that time at AAC. The time there was just what I needed. The view from the Dovetail Cabin room was quite frankly breath-taking. It was a view of the bay and the surrounding mountains. The cabin itself was beautifully appointed with carefully chosen pieces that represented the spirit of Alaska. I was very appreciative of this. I met Evelyn, who owns the AAC, and she was so kind and considerate of me and what I needed for my stay. I have only the best to say about her and my stay with AAC. Do not hesitate to book a space here and spend some time - I promise you will not regret it. I myself intent to return in the very near future. N/A
- Nicholas (10/5): If you are coming to Homer this is a “must stay” place. - This place was absolutely amazing! Fantastic views to enjoy at sunset and wake up to! I don’t think I would want to stay anywhere else when we go back to Homer. This place was perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Breath taking views of Kachemak Bay - Wonderful cabins in a sought after location. You will not get a better view of Kachemak Bay than from these windows. Everything you could need is provided in this stay. Just make sure the heat is working when you arrive!
- Ortiz (10/5): Unexpected breathtaking view of a side of Alaska we got to experience. - The location was perfect with a great view but loved the coziness most of all. I didn’t like that we had to leave.
- Wehus (10/5): We booked very last second and I called to double check on the things we needed to bring. She was so nice and accommodat - It was easily accessible and the setting was stunning Cant think of anything! We loved our stay!
- Lavona (6/5): Handicap - I was not informed prior to reservations that my cabin was located down a slippery sloped hill with hazardous steps when wet. We upgraded to a cabin on same level as the parking lot and was fine. More information should've been given at the start.
- Rachel (10/5): - Beautiful grounds unique lodging.
- ryan (10/5): - Breathtaking views from the wrap around porch! Clean well stocked!
- María (9/5): Lovely and relaxing stay in the heart of Homer - The cabin is inviting and warm and the views are spectacular. Peaceful and quiet. Very clean and it was fun to cook there. The beds were comfy and we all slept great. The location is perfect, 10 minutes away from Homer spit, 5 minutes from Safeway, 6 minutes from Maritime Museum Visitors Center. Highly recommended! The cabin needs some updates but it’s very well maintained.
- Cindy (10/5): A must for Homer! - Absolutely amazing stay! The dovetail cabin was unique, comfortable and had amazing views. Plenty of room for a family with a separate room adjacent to the deck.
The hot tub in the solarium is great for rainy days.
- Marissa (10/5): Nice little treehouse in the woods. Beautiful views. - Felt like we were in a fancy treehouse. They also had a very friendly cat who was there to greet us. It was very cute. The hot tub was nice. I really don’t have anything negative to say.
- Daniel (10/5): - Nice quiet cozy cabin with beautiful view
- Dale (10/5): - It was a very peaceful place to stay with a good view of the ocean comfortable bed and couch cable TV. I really hated to leave. Will be using this place again for sure. Very close to town and very easy to find.
- John (10/5): - Cute place and helpful people.
- Deanna (10/5): - Our stay was lovely. The place had everything we needed. We could cook. We could do laundry. We could relax in the home or in the hot tub in the greenhouse. Who could ask for anything more. Would highly recommend this place! The views are spectacular as well!
- Alaska (9/5): Nice place, comfortable. Nice view windows. - Room was close to town with a potentially great view (unfortunately, Homer decided that rain was best for our weekend so we couldn't see, what I know from experience driving down that road many times, to be a great view of the water and mountains). Comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillows. Didn't notice any road noise. Unique establishment; fun to have all the different styles of rooms available. Place was a bit drafty and it took a bit for heater to overcome. A fair bit of hair on the rugs (dogs or ppl I don't know).
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): Convient place to stay with great views - Great view with all the needed amenities N/a
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely falling asleep in a cozy cabin overlooking the bay and waking up to the mountains view across the bay! - Clean, accessible, friendly owner, cozy, amazing views! N/A
- Caitlin (8/5): - Great location, tricky getting there but photo helped.
- Caleb (10/5): - The view is absolutely gorgeous, the cabin was lovely and the trip was excellent.
The negatives, no fire pit, only a gas grill and the road is a bit loud in the mornings when trying to sleep but otherwise very nice!
- Paul (8/5): Beautiful cabin with some challenges. - Location spectacular, unique cabin, very comfortable, fully stocked even with a small dishwasher. Not for most elderly as you have to descend some challenging stairs to get to unit but I had no problem getting down there.
- Michell (10/5): I did not realize Bishops Beach was close or even how to get there - The view was amazing Everything was awesome
- Janice (10/5): - Loved the uniquenes. It was quaint and so cute. The floord weren't quite level, but we loved our stay there.
- Kari (10/5): - Incredible view! Very cozy caboose. Would stay here again.
- Erica (10/5): - If there was heaven on earth, this would be it. From the scenery on the drive in, to the glorious vista out the windows of the dovetail lodge, to the immaculate furnishings and homemade touches, this was so beyond my expectations!! I immediately knew I’d made a mistake, and I should have scheduled several more days to stay at this property. Homer is a charming little town, with lots to do, amazing restaurants and artists. The cabin had every convenience and yet was so quaint and charming. Evelyn made me feel immediately at home and was quick to respond to any comments. Definitely the best place out of a 2 1/2 week visit to Alaska covering everything from the Arctic Circle, South to the peninsula!!
- Tim (10/5): - Good price. Everything we needed.
- Louigy (10/5): - Reservations were a breeze, the property manager greeted us upon arrival. Showed my family and I to the cabin.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Moose Caboose Station was very nice. We had a beautiful view of the water and mountains. Evelyn, the property manager, was very attentive and responded quickly to the questions we had. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!
- raymond (10/5): - Great little spot to get away. All the comforts of home without being home. Great views of the bay and surrounding Mountains.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The views are incredible and the hosts are very friendly and communicative. Plus you get to sleep in a railroad car.
- Jim (10/5): - Cool, fun, and funky place to stay with AMAZING views of the ocean and surrounding mountains and glaciers. Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed in the Upper Caboose. The view is breathtaking! Very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Alaska Adventure Cabins.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing views, cozy cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Andrew (10/5): 10 out of 10 - We had an absolutely amazing time. The cabin was gorgeous and the views are spectacular.
- Kathleen (10/5): Unique cabins in Homer - Our cabin was neat and clean with fantastic views. But what was wonderful was the care that the owner Karen gave us. One of our members became ill and had to be hospitalized. Karen was extremely helpful providing transportation to the local hospital. I would definitely recommend her cabins for a place to stay in Homer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best view in Homer! - Loved this place. Beautiful location. Welcoming, friendly owners. Cabin was cozy and clean and the view can not be beat. Highly recommend!
- Melisa (10/5): Moose caboose room - Wonderful stay. Very nice cabin, clean, quiet, great views and lots of unexpected supplies not usually provided in cabins (grill, dishes, paper towels, soap, etc) Moose come right up to the property where you can watch through picture window. Be aware this is a self check in/out location and you that you need to call/email ahead of your stay for the details (i.e. Arrange arrival time, key location, directions to lodging-they have multiple lodging types onsite & multiple drive ways & parking)
- Beth (10/5): Canyon Creek xabo - We stayed in the Canyon cabin. It has amazing views of Cook Inlet and the mountains. The cabin was totally equipped with everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downsides were that the beds weren't extremely comfortable and there also weren't effective blackout curtains, which made it a little hard to get to sleep. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this place to others!
- Christina (8/5): - The outside walk to the second bedroom was a bit of a pain, but the place was great overall.
- Melissa (8/5): Spectacular View - Great View! Cabin had a small kitchen with everything needed to cook meals, there was a nice propane BBQ and a washer and dryer. Perfect little cabin for a family trip to Homer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely cabin - We had a great stay at the lower moose caboose cabin and would definitely return. The kitchen was well stocked and we were pleased with the barbecue and beautiful deck. There was a little confusion at first about the cabin we were supposed to rent and it was annoying the owner confused us as being married (we were a group of three friends). Also the washing machine broke and were were stuck with soaking wet fishy clothes with no time to head to the laundromat. But overall, a wonderful cabin and beautiful view.
- Terry (8/5): Relax & unwind - Relaxing environment with beautiful view
- Nancy (10/5): Million Dollar View!!! - What a great cabin for a getaway!! Fully equipped with anything you could imagine or need! Lots of comfortable chairs and bedding, beautifully decorated! And a million dollar view of Kachemak Bay!! Couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations and location!
