- Verified traveler (2/5): - The rooms are too expensive for what they are. Tiny and very uncomfortable. We booked 2 nights, but only stayed for the first night. We moved to another hotel for the second night (Hotel Casa Real) only $30 extra per night and was impressively beautiful. Can't even compare them. I would not stay at La Roca again.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Booked two nights. On the first evening we left this place and didn’t stay. Had to go and find another hotel due to cockroaches in our room. Can’t imagine what would it been when the light went off. Good looking colonial place but cockroaches means filth and uncleanliness. Totally unacceptable. Would never stay here.

- SteveC (10/5): - The structure is over 400 years old and has been renovated nicely. My room was small but adequate, lots of hot water. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very helpful. The only drawback was that none of the TV channels were in English.

Quiet, with all rooms having windows opening onto the inner courtyard and garden. WiFi a little spotty and practically non existent in rooms further from main lobby area. Very nice and helpful staff.

It is a bit noisy, but you are in a great location. Rooms are clean, good breakfast, there is free parking about 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

- Bryan (8/5): Lovely accommodation - Apparently La Roca (the rock) refers to their mattresses. Slightly softer than the floor, but only slightly. Otherwise, this place is Great! Location right on the Plaza Mayor is perfect. Free parking in a nearby secure lot. The hosts are very accommodating and pleasant. The facility is a colonial house that is huge, stretching far back from the square with two lovely courtyards inside, one of which is chock full of plants and flowers. It's delightfully quiet. The breakfast was good. Wish it had some fruit. In all, a great place to stay if you can tolerate a beyond-firm bed.

- Greg (8/5): Charming Hotel at the main square - Great deal for the price, top noch location, amazing and very helpful staff (I really mean it) Very well kept, kinda basic but clean and charming. I think it is run by a family so it has this warm cozy feeling you won't find at hotels. Breakfast pretty basic and simple but nice, remember you are not at a $400 per night 5 star Four Seasons hotel.

Bed was too hard but as soon as I spoke to the property manager, I was moved to a more comfortable room with a softer bed. Breakfast is simple but coffee was good and plenty.

The room was fairly basic but perfectly adequate and the hotel's courtyard is beautiful. Simple breakfast, but again quite adequate. Quiet location, but no sound proofing between rooms or courtyard, so ear plugs might be useful if you have noisy neighbours.

Complimentary breakfast was bountiful and personally served to each table by a very professional and friendly staff. The Hospederia is located right on the main Plaza... so it doesn't get any more convenient than that! We truly recommend Hospederia La Roca for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Calme et central - On aurait pu s'attendre à un hôtel bruyant vu son emplacement sur la place central, mais du fait qu'il dispose de 2 patios intérieurs, il est très paisible. Lors de mon passage, les balcons sur la place était inaccessible. Ma chambre était petite, simple, mais avec une salle de bains très propre et une douche avec eau très chaude à toute heure. Wi-Fi moyen dans la chambre, mais cela se comprend vue l'épaisseur des murs (80 cm). Vu le prix payé (950000/nuit), je recommande vivement.

I paid the equivalent of $50 a night which is average in that area for a decent hotel with breakfast.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Buen backpackers. - Nos fue bien, pero no nos gustó que el desayuno se empezara a servir desde las 8am. Es muy tarde si uno quiere salir a caminar por los alrededores. Tampoco nos gustó que cada vez que salieramos del hotel tuvieramos que dejar la llave en la recepción.
