Guest Reviews
- Seza (10/5): Amazing unforgettable days - Amazing hotel perfect hospitality amazing service Nothing
- Sylvia (10/5): Perfect place for a safari experience and relaxing high end accommodation in a magnificent location. - Everything. Beautiful location, friendly, helpful and efficient staff Dining room service very slow but food excellent

- Bethany (10/5): An unforgettable stay that exceeded all expectations, highly recommended. - The resort was exceptional from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. Our room was huge, beautifully maintained, and very well managed. The safari experience was unforgettable and the rangers were attentive and knowledgeable throughout. It was the perfect place to fully relax and switch off too! Honestly, nothing, everything exceeded expectations.
- Mike (10/5): A beach paradise - A true paradise with excellent staff, facilities and some of the best food I have ever tasted.
The "Huts" are huge and beautiful with massive outstandingly comfortsble beds, loads of space and each have their own pool which is very welcome when it is hot. Nothing
- Tom (10/5): A hugely memorable stay. Once in a lifetime experience - Superb quality of operation
Food and drink very good Not much
Bread was a little disappointing
- Girish chandra (1/5): This booking was canceled by property - That asked for extra money at last minute before arrival of property, we requested to cancel booking and we didn’t join this property, very bad experience it was.
- Cameron (10/5): I don’t normally write reviews but this was so good it desrves the scores I gave it. Go! - Great staff, great location. Safaris were wonderful
- Pallavi (10/5): -

- massimiliano (10/5): Eccezionale - Servizio, posizione, personale, attività e qualità del ristorante

- Nicoletta (10/5): Overall, I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable nature getaway. - Our stay was truly magical. The place itself is beautiful, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout our visit. The safari experience was exceptional! Special thanks to our guide, Nuwan, who explained everything so well and helped us spot a leopard, which was the absolute highlight of our trip.In the evenings, we even had some delightful visitors around the room, including deers, wild boars, and peacocks. Nothing.
- Edward (3/5): Not worth it one bit. - The property is uniquely placed in the Yala national park closest to the national reserve. The rooms were tidy and well placed though fairly dated. The game drive leader Dush is amazing and 11/10 for his contribution to our stay. We saw a bear and leopard and you could tell he was very skilled and passionate about his job. Though I have a feeling he is not paid enough for the position. It is a complete rip off for what you get. I have stayed in many good properties in my time and this though generally nice was not at all worth the money. I had just finished a stay at Malabar and it is a quarter of the price and what I expected of the stay at Yala. Staff were buckling and dimming you. For instance it’s £50 to take a walk on the beach for nearly $3000 you should not be paying more on an all inclusive stay for two nights. It’s inane. And makes the customers blood boil. Why do that. Proportionally it’s nothing but principal matters. Also it was our honeymoon. We mentioned this in advance of the trip. Asides from a bed spread nothing else was done to make it special. Not even a cake at dinner or another gesture. I had to message the staff on the night of a dinner to ask if there was anything they could do as it was raining and they did not propose anything just said unfortunately your dinner is off. For $3000 I expect some sort of compromise to be devised to add a little touch to our dinner. The wines were cheap and some not drinkable. The chef promised to teach my wife to make a dish that she liked. He then said he could not on the day due to a new menu. There were about 6 people staying and this could have been easily accommodated. Then the music. There is a single cheesy piano CD track played on repeat throughout the venue. It started to drive all the guests insane. We spoke to a few and it became a running joke so much so that multiple choose to sit outdoors in the rain rather than put up with it or in fly infested conditions for breakfast. Food was fairly medium not what was expected for the price paid. One day it was raining the staff were not keen on helping with any side activities or ideas. Eg board games or other ideas whilst it was pouring down. The staff seem very whipped and down trodden. I reckon it is a management issue of over hours of not enough pay.
- Tina (10/5): -
- Ana (10/5): - Everything was outstanding - the service, the accommodation, the food and the people! Big thanks to Yassi, our ranger, who was very knowledgable and made our game drives really enjoyable. Also our waiter Nuwan was amazing and knew our preferences by day 2.
- Lloyd (10/5): Chena Huts - The whole Chena Huts experience is superb, from the friendly welcome to the exquisite food, location and wonderfully knowledgeable and accommodating staff, this is a very special place. Absolutely nothing.
- William (10/5): A perfect once in a lifetime experience - Everything! The food is incredible. The staff are so welcoming, the huts are simply perfect.
And the safari game drives were amazing. The rangers are extremely knowledgable, you’ll see countless birds, lizards, deer, monkeys, buffalo and if your lucky a couple of Elephants and maybe even a leopard.
Would 1000% book again. Nothing it was perfect
- Anaïs (10/5): - The Uga Chena Huts was unbelievable! Everything was just perfect! From our huts, to the delicious food, to the very nice and helpful staff!
- kevin (10/5): -
- Elodie (9/5): - The staff was lovely, the food was good and the location very close to the entry of Yala Park is convenient. The huts are now a bit outdated but still fine, and the spa is not a high standard one, at least the massage I got.
- Olivia (10/5): - Absolutely incredible place in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and in the buffer zone of Yala national park, amazing wildlife around the hotel as well as on safari. The staff were all so kind and helpful and the food was incredible, the best we have had in Sri Lanka and a fantastic variety!
All meals, drinks and safari are included, a very special place!
- Eliane (10/5): -
- Nour (8/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): - Absolutely THE best experience! What a gem of a place. The rooms are spacious
- Ben (10/5): Outstanding! - The location, huts and the most attentive staff made our stay absolutely unforgettable. From the safari guide to the restaurant team members, everyone was outstanding! Although the huts are absolutely amazing with their pools and views, they are getting a little bit dated and are in need of some minor repairs.
- paul (10/5): -
- Amro (10/5): Exceptional from start to finish - Every single thing was exceptional. Food was outstanding and refined. All was perfect.
- zhuoqian (8/5): - Great location.
Great rangers, especially Gayan
Great catering team and restaurants staffs, especially Kasun.
Spa is a bit basic.
- Carlotta (10/5): Highly recommended for anyone looking for nature, luxury, and warm hospitality. - Uga Chena is an incredible place with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The service was flawless — every detail taken care of with care and professionalism. The team at the restaurant and reception were extremely kind and welcoming.
Our safari experience was unforgettable, thanks to our amazing guide Dushmantha, who made it both exciting and insightful.
- Audrey (10/5): - This is an amazing property and wonderfully situated in its surroundings! Would highly recommend.
- Daniel (10/5): They should change it from All Inclusive to All Exquisite - Everything! Exclusive and exquisite. This rates as one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The location, the rooms, the staff were all outstanding. And the food…. Oh my, truly outstanding. And travelling with to young kids nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everything was fabulous. Nothing. There was nothing to fault at all.
- Qasim (8/5): Very good -
- Jules (10/5): Amazing staff in an exceptional place. - Everything was perfect, every single detail is thoroughly thought of. Exceptional !
- Jessica (8/5): Beautiful place and lovely experience - The staff is incredibly friendly, they anticipate your needs, they remember anything you tell them once, they try to make your experience as nice and as complete as possible. The rangers are passionate and truly want the best for you.
The Chef is exceptional and the food is excellent. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with a great decoration. Facilities include a leisure swimming pool and a spa, but not much beyond that. Of course, the main attraction is the safari and you can do as many as two a day. However, I still believe that the price of stay is slightly too high for what you get, which I find, is a common problem in Sri Lanka and the pain of paying above what you get is only lessened by the extraordinary kindness of people.
- Cherie (10/5): - Our stay was amazing. The staff are exceptional and the service and experience exceeded our expectations. The huts are beautiful and the food is delicious
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful oasis on the edge of the Yala National Park. - Absolutely stunning spot, fantastic staff. Everything was wonderful.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Excellent stay at Uga Chena Huts - DiDi was an excellent host, welcoming us and always
- Ciaran (10/5): Amazing staff which make the stay worth every penny - All inclusive meant all inclusive. Staff is absolutely amazing they cater to your every need and serve with a smile. It really feels like they all enjoy their jobs. Everyone is filled with joy and smiles The road to get there is quite difficult, and in the bar area there is no music
- Laura (9/5): Absolute paradise - The service is impeccable, the huts are so beautiful and extremely private. The chef requires a special mention because the food was sensational On our safari our driver got stuck in the mud and after all pitching in to try and get it going again we ended up waiting 2 hours to be rescued, following that the vehicle broke down and we waited 30 minutes for the tow truck to come back and rescue us again. We were meant to be on Safari for 3 hours but left at 6 and didn’t get back until 12. Fortunately the hotel gave our driver lunch because at this point he had been waiting 2 hours. It wasn’t the best way to round up such a delightful stay but it was and experience to say the least and the staff were very apologetic. Disappointed we missed out on half of our last safari trip though. Also be sure to wear bug spray!!!
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blackmore (8/5): Very good -
- Georgios (8/5): Very good -
- Maura (10/5): Unlike anything else - a true dream - What a place - this is most unique hotel experience we’ve ever had. The location, the room, the facilities, the excursions and the food were all fabulous. Our guide Kalimdu was wonderful, so knowledgable and made our safari experience so memorable.
- Rikke (8/5): good service - we had one night at this beautiful hotel, unfortunately is was raining a lot that day so we also didn’t could go to the safari that was planned or enjoy the pool, of cause that isn’t the staffs fault cause no one can control the weather, it was just a shame, instead they offered us both an hour of massage so that was very nice - good service
- Arianna (10/5): A magical accommodation on the side of Yala Park. Strictly recommended to everyone, more than one night. You are in dire - Surrounded by a wonderful landscape, room very spacious, food was good, the service was very good
- Peter (10/5): A great place to relax and explore the Park - A superb property to stay at in a great location for visiting Yala National Park. The food was excellent and of the highest quality. Staff were friendly, professional and provided a wonderful service. The room was something else, private, peaceful, vast with plenty of space inside and out, and a super comfortable bed. The guide on our safari trips was condescending and a bit rude, in stark contrast to the other staff.
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous location tucked away on a private chunk of land connected to Yala park. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you are safe and have everything you need. I can’t say enough about the food! We only stayed for one night as we were moving quickly between locations while there, but should have booked minimum 2 nights. Would be perfect location for a honeymoon. Amenities are out of this world. Our guide for the safari was very informative and easy to chat with. I was happy to hear that the company provides the guides who can explain the animals in English, but hire jeeps and drivers from the local villages to distribute the benefits of the tourism dollars around. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.
- Sue (10/5): Quality accommodation with delicious food and fabulous staff - Fabulous setting. With very friendly staff. With booking.com you get a daily safari included whilst the tour operators often book 2 per day. Be aware if you cancel you loose the tour which we weren’t aware of and as it was raining heavily we cancelled but as weren’t aware of the policy they did reinstate the tour. Food is lovely and don’t miss sundowners on the beach. In the busy part of Yala park but they buy tickets online so you do skip the queues
- Max (9/5): A memorable stay - Staff were very polite and friendly. Food and drinks were delicious. We enjoyed the sundowner. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. Buggy service was good. Enjoyed the free laundry service! Salman and team were great. The ranger on the safari tour was very knowledgeable and the driver was so good he spotted both of the leopards before we did. We enjoyed both the morning and afternoon safaris. Overall a very enjoyable stay. The shower products can be improved. The water bottles (Uga Chena Hut branded) were too hard to open 😂 These are all very minor things obviously. Everything else was perfect.
- Najla (9/5): A hidden jewel - Staff were very friendly! Loved the room and amenities… the food was amazing! Just perfect.
- Kimberley (10/5): Amazing stay in an amazing property - We loved everything about the Uga Chena Huts. The location is amazing with an elephant, monkeys and a range of other animals being seen around the property.
The food was the best we have had - wonderful chef who changes the menu daily.
The staff were exceptional, from our safari guide to the wait staff and room staff. They made our stay! Nothing, it’s perfect!
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect escape place in Sri Lanka - Everything was perfect about this place: the room, the view of the room, the service, the food, the people. I am coming back again with family. Nothing to mention, place is perfect
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ma (10/5): Just stay here at least one night... thank me later.. it's heaven! - This place was paradise!
I didn’t want to leave! There was an elephant on the beach when we arrived for drinks the late afternoon which was so cool!
Food & Drinks 10/10 – this was a la carte, absolutely delicious… it was like dining at a top tier restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Hotel 10/10 – you are wowed everywhere you turned
Room/ plunge pool 9.5/10 – The pool had leaves and some dirt in it but it was clean enough and refreshing – big enough to do a few laps. The veranda area was comfortable, we spent a lot of time here. The bed… I didn’t want to get out, it was so comfortable! The entire space was clean, smelt like you are in a spa and we were able to hook up our phones to play some music. The mini bar option were exceptional.
Safari 10/10 – The safari was fantastic, with certified rangers who were very knowledgeable. They brought food and refreshments, and I think the other cars around us were jealous of our morning feast!
The Team 10/10 – I have no words, they were exceptional! To customise your stay I think they ensure they have a member of the team that speaks the guest language, they do take a picture of you with your country flag (just for staff information), as far as I am aware it’s not share externally, but I thought this was a cute touch. They were so accommodating, and made you feel safe at all times – the resort was in the reserve and its open to all animals, so you can see what Yala National Park has install for you! I will definitely go back. Nothing!
- Edouard (10/5): Everything was truly perfect! - This hotel is amazing, don't think about it, just go!
- The staff are the kindest and most attentive we've met. They anticipate, adapt, are proactive and are exceptionally kind. Whether it's the waiters (special thanks to the king of kings Chinthaka but also to Nuwan & Chamara), the Rangers and their detailed explanations, the cleaning staff or the reception staff, they make the experience truly unique.
- The food is delicious and varied. You'll find great Western and local dishes on the menu at every meal. Special thanks to the chef for his special creations.
- the individual huts are magnificent, clean and very pleasant.
- the safaris are very interesting and you can see dozens of animals (elephants, crocodiles, leopards etc) in sumptuous landscapes.
- finally, thank you again to the staff for all the little personal touches and activities they offered us.
In short, everything was perfect, you don't have to think about anything and just enjoy this timeless place.
- Goncalo (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing
- Moussa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gilberto (9/5): Superb -
- Amelia (10/5): Exceptional - This was luxury.
In every sense
From the way you were greeted to the food and the effort the staff put in to make your stay perfect
- Livia (10/5): Worth every penny - Absolutely beautiful property in an incredible location. The most comfortable rooms where everything detail has been considered. Fantastic staff and brilliant guides. Highly recommend splashing out and making this part of your Sri Lanka holiday! Nothing, everything was perfect
- Elaine (10/5): Once in a lifetime, amazing stay. - This place is a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed for 2 nights on our honeymoon and it’s something we will cherish forever. It’s expensive, but the service from the staff, the quality of the room and the safaris are worth it. They make you feel special from the moment you arrive right until you leave. If you’re considering booking here, just splurge its worth it. Shoutout to the staff here, the best we had in Sri Lanka at any hotel. Everyone is so kind the drinks/food/cocktails everything is amazing. Nothing .
- Ghassan (7/5): Wonderful times and people - Loved being in a natural reserve , the safari was the main reason we went there The food wasn’t up to the standard of a 5 star establishment such as they claim to be.
- Ahmed (10/5): Perfectly Perfect! - We didn’t see a Leopard but we saw something much spectacular; some of the Sri Lankan finest hoteliers going the miles to making you feel at home.
My wife and I loved it to bits!
Great location coupled with an amazing team all across the board. We loved the accommodation, spacious and cosy; very comfortable. Housekeeping team did a great job too!
Excellent choice of food and service; amazing team in service and in the kitchen, all of them are top-notch!
Just to name few, Lihil from guest services and Janith, the super Ranger; they were fantastic. 😇 Thank you guys!!
Thank you for an amazing 4 nights, which my wife and I left with reminiscing! We can’t wait to go back, and we definitely will! Very soon! I really can’t think of any.
- Gavin (10/5): Most magnificent stay in Sri Lanka, would absolutely recommend! - Everything! The food in particular was sensational. Wine choice could have been slightly better, only small downside.
- Mona (10/5): It was magical - It was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home.
The place itself is very nice, with comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings and great amenities. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
One of the highlights of my visit was the safari. Our guide was truly amazing, providing us with an unforgettable adventure. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and made sure we had the best possible experience.
Overall, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Thank you for making my trip so memorable! The swimming pool need to be cleaned very well
- Aboli (10/5): Way way above expectations! - We took a quick R&R trip to Sri Lanka and spent 3 nights at a tea estate in Nuwara Eliya before heading to Uga Chena for another 3 nights. While the 5-star tea estate was lovely, we found ourselves wishing we had spent all 6 days at Uga Chena—it was that fantastic!
--------
Location: 10/10
Uga Chena offers the best of both worlds: a beautiful beach and proximity to a wildlife sanctuary. What more could you ask for?
Accommodation: 10/10
The hotel is stunning with big beautiful well appointed rooms, the bed linens used are of high quality. With your full package, the rooms are always well stocked and have everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay. Every time we came back from breakfast, lunch and dinner - our rooms would have been made up! We never had to tell the reception even once that we need house-keeping! As soon as we'd step out of our rooms, it would seem that magically, little elves would go and tidy up your rooms! So that when you got back, you'd have cool, clean and refreshed rooms!
Management: 10/10
Not just the rooms though, be it the bar area, dining areas, beach and sundowner areas or even be it the walkaways to your room - all are cleaned and raked and well maintained - but never so that you feel you're in an artificially manicured place. It's all natural and beautiful! This property is extremely well-managed and maintained.
Food: 10/10
Chef Nuwan was so good - not only was our dining experience fantastic but Chef was so gracious and accommodating! You could ask for something that's off the menu and he'd whip it out for you! Everything from breakfast, to lunch, sundowners and dinners - all were fantastic!
Staff: 11/10!!!
Staff made this place so much more special! They were just fantastic! It sounds impossible, but not one staff member gave us a reason to complain! Everyone was so polite, friendly and efficient! No matter your ask, they catered to it, and that too always with a smile! Nothing; everything was fantastic!
- Joel (10/5): One of the best places I’ve stayed in the world - Everything about our stay was amazing. The staff, the food, the room.
Can’t recommend Uga Chena Huts more highly.
- Amber (10/5): - The entire experience is amazing. From the welcome, food, beach and safaris. Can’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for a whole experience
- Nancy (10/5): An incredible experience of a lifetime! - Right in the heart of the Yala National Park, Uga Chena Huts was an incredible experience! Expertly guided morning and afternoon safaris to spot jungle animals, incredible facilities and food, and the kindest staff offering excellent service. A sensory immersion we will never forget! The Spa is the only area of improvement, facilities could use an upgrade and the use of better products. Massage was good but not great. Note that there is a 20% additional tax above the listed price.
- Suvankar (10/5): Exceptional - Uga chena huts were like a heaven on earth. Amazing scenery, amazing ambience , amazing eco friendly architecture , amazing team to take care of you and pamper you with attention and great food presented in Michelin star way. The hotel in the midst of national forest with private jacuzzi pool overlooking the forest was a treat. The care provided by staff was heart touching . Every small details were taken care of making the stay really memorable There was nothing bad about it . A perfect stay for 2-3 nights
- Frederic (10/5): Amazing stay!! - Our experience was absolutely excellent in every aspect! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the kindness and service of the staff were outstanding. Our ranger for the safaris was knowledgeable and made our excursions unforgettable. The security on site ensured we felt safe at all times. The manager was attentive and accommodating. In summary, everything was perfect. Highly recommended! The only thing missing was a fitness area, as it is impossible and dangerous to exercise outdoors.
- Pedro (10/5): Excelent - Amazing service on the best location!
The chef is incredible!!!
Loved it
- Justin (10/5): A paradise getaway delivering an unforgettable experience! - Everything was incredible from arrival to leaving, Staff deserve a huge shout out for how they took care of us and went the extra mile to make a truly unforgettable honeymoon experience, we will be booking again when we come back to Sri Lanka. The food was great as well as the facilities but we can't get over how nice the rooms were, felt like paradise.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - In keeping with the environment. Nice programs to give back to the community and impact
- Sara (8/5): Beautiful - Rooms and environment The restaurant and toilet area were not clean.
- Corina (9/5): Superb -
- Ahmed (10/5): - Nice hotel, friendly staff but overpriced.
- Ronald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stacey (8/5): A memorable and adventurous time in the beautiful scenery of Yala. - Friendly staff, excellent catering to dietary restrictions, and the guided safaris run by the hotel were incredible.
Janith and our driver were exceptionally knowledgeable and took us on wonderful safaris! The sundowners on the beach can be revisited to a better location on the property.
- Josh (10/5): Incredible place to stay. Incredible location and wonderful people there. Might seem a little expensive but it is well w - The place is incredible. There is nothing much more to say. Absolutely nothing wrong and everything right with the place. Wonderful location, wonderful rooms, wonderful staff and wonderful food. It is worth every penny! We will be back! Nothing that I didn’t like. Nothing at all.
- Marco (8/5): Amazing place! Worth the money? Probably not. - Uga Chena is an incredible resort. The huts are really amazing, they're really big and nicely furnished.
The restaurant is really good, the breakfast is delicious! Although this place is great it is really expensive, so after your stay you ask yourself if it was worth it.
Honestly this was the most expensive night that I have ever paid and I wouldn't do it again if I could go back.
It was a special occasion, so I didn't bother too much about the price tag, but it's really too much.
As a side note on the special occasion, although communicated twice to the hotel, we've got the bare minimum treatment and we didn't feel too much special.
- Kerry (10/5): Amazing!! - Where do I start. The place is amazing. Right in the buffer zone of the national park. As soon as you get there, the staff are there to greet you and make you feel like royalty. The room is gorgeous, and you have everything you need. The staff are so attentive and cater to your every need. The food is great. We even had a birthday dinner on the beach and a birthday bed decoration. Our safari guide was super knowledgeable. It's really hard to find fault with the place. It is expensive, but that is also due to the exchange rate for the Aussie dollar. In saying that, I wish we had booked 2 nights. If I was being picky... our deck needed some maintenance.
- Gage (10/5): It was like living in a dream and being sad when you checkout. - Every damn thing. It was amazing. Nothing at all or was amazing.

- Jacquie (10/5): Amazing hotel - We had booked as part of our trip around Sri Lanka and honestly loved every second of being there.
My only criticism is the driveway to the hotel. The sandy offroad path really isn't drivable by most normal vehicles and the hotel gave no warning that we might need a different type of car to access the property.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff to take us to reception. Check-in was super efficient and after a quick tour of the property we were shown to our room where our bags were already waiting.
Wow. The rooms are amazing - huge and everything in it feels brand new. The centre point of the room is the large bed with a variety of pillows. There is a good sized wardrobe with a safe and desk area with plenty of plug points. Behind the bed is the bathroom with closed off toilet, shower and a rolltop bathtub. The lounge area of the room has a love seat and tv/speaker system and there is also a dining table by the coffee machine and well stocked minibar (which is all included in your package). Air con works well in the room and there is a fan above the bed.
Each room also includes its own decent sized plunge pool and decking and we had an amazing view to the beach and sea.
The hotel has a restaurant, a stunning bar with an extensive cocktail list and a sundowners bar on the beach which is open each evening. All food and drink is included in your package and the quality of the food and service is very good... there just isn't enough time to enjoy everything!
- Ada (10/5): Never can get enough - This is most unique hotel you can stay in Sri Lanka. Staff is very friendly, helpful and they make sure they do whatever you request. Even cook can cook you if you request something out of the menu and whatever he cook was amazing. Rooms are super clean, bed comfortable. Minibar is full with drink, snacks and for free. They provide security of you because of wild animals they escort you from/to room or facilities whenever you need. We use Spa and 2 Balinese girl also doing good massage which I can recommend We felt like home and didn’t want to leave
- Sagar (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (10/5): Amazing. We didn't want to leave! My fav place after staying in 7 different places over 2 weeks. - Everything. The location is amazing, no fences or electric to keep out wildlife so it's wild and beautiful. You can walk to the beach and to a nearby waterhole from your accom (not after dark!) You do need to be careful but that's half the attraction. Two daily (optional) safaris were included with our stay which were brilliant, we saw so much amazing wildlife both on these and also a fair amount in and around the resort itself.
Staff were friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to make us feel at home and welcome. It was our honeymoon so we had a lovely dinner on the sand on our last night and they brought us a surprise celebration cake for our dessert which was such a lovely touch.
Accommodation was lovely, air con yet rustic feel to it was perfect in nearly 40 degree C heat plus a plunge pool. That we had to leave!
Maybe the menus could have a little more choice if was staying longer, but perfect for a few days.
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb - incredible rooms, two game drives per night stay (morning and evening), the food was outstanding and the service was as you’d expect for a hotel of this price. there was nowhere for our driver to stay so he had to drive a long way to find accommodation, unlike other hotels in Sri Lanka. It is very expensive but you know that when booking.
- Sanjay (10/5): - Very exclusive, beautiful location, excellent service… exotic experience!!
