• Andreas (8/5): Gerne wieder - Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksangebot war etwas ungewöhnlich. Käse, auch richtig Guten, gab es reichlich, aber Obst und Gemüse nur sehr wenig. Ein gemeinsamer Frühstücksraum mit den Bewohnern der Seniorenresidenz war ungewohnt aber auf keinen Fall negativ. Großes und unerwartetes Plus: Freifahrten mit dem ÖPNV. Die Freifahrten gelten nicht nur in St.Gallen sondern bis zum Bodensee, z.B. Rohrschach.
• Andrey (10/5): A nice stay in the very center of the town - Clean and cozy hotel, friendly personnel, good breakfast - in general, very good quality - price ratio. And the location is surprisigly perfect - really 2 steps from the abbey.

• Roland (10/5): Klasse Unterkunf - tolle Lage - Immer wenn ich mich nach St. Gallen begebe, halte ich mich, sofern verfügbar, im Hotel am Spisertor auf. Und dies schon seit Jahren. Kurzum, alles schlicht wunderbar!

• Andrew (10/5): affordable great hotel with great location - Was a great stay, was actually the cheapest hotel room from our stay in Europe that week, but was still very comfortable, amazing location, and free parking garage. breakfast was very basic, though, no hot foods. Also with parking they only allow exit once, so if you plan to come in and out you will have to pay extra. Check in very easy using mailbox outside with code that was sent to us.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Sehr gut! - Dieses Hotel können wir sehr empfehlen. Das Zimmer ist nicht riesig, war aber sehr sauber und ist komfortabel. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral. Man kann überall hinlaufen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat viele Optionen. Das Parkhaus (Gratis) war auch sehr praktisch. Eine super Option in Sankt Gallen.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Zentral gelegenes, komfortables Hotel - Das Hotel liegt zentral und wir konnten überall zu Fuß hin gehen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung und bot alles, was man braucht.
• Thorsten (6/5): Übernachten am Altstadtrand - Hotel angeschlossen an Seniorenresidenz, sehr sauber, Zimmer einfach aber gut, schönes Frühstücksbuffett, sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Parkhaus direkt im Haus. Direkt am Altstadtrand, gegenüber vom Calatrava Pfalzkeller.
• Roland (10/5): Zentral gelegen, ruhig, freundlich - einfach prima - Nehme grundsätzlich, halte ich mich in St. Gallen auf, die Dienste des Hotels am Spisertor in Anspruch. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig, sauber und zentral gelegen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer befinden sich auf der dem Verkehr abgewandten Seite und grenzen an einen Innenhof. Überquert man die Strasse steht man am Eingang zur Altstadt. Der Stiftsbezirk liegt nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Stadtpark, Stadttheater, Tonhalle und die Museen erreicht man zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten gemütlich. Auch der Bahnhof SBB ist über die Altstadt gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Unweit vom Hotel führt auch ein Fussweg steil empor zum idyllischen Naherholungsgebiet 3 Weihern mit freiem Blick über die Stadt bis hin zum Bodensee. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist klein, aber fein. Habe insbesondere die Auswahl an Broten/Brötchen geschätzt. Auch hat es mir an nichts gefehlt. Einziger Kritikpunkt, wenn überhaupt, die reduzierte Öffnungszeit der Hotel-Reception.

Ums Gebäude herum und an der Nachtglocke läuten, wo dann jemand vom (Alterszentrum-) Nachtdienst die Türe öffnete .

• B (4/5): - Leider sehr hellhörig und stickige Luft beim betreten des Zimmers. Man hört Stimmen vom Zimmer nebenan, Wasserleitungen bei Benutzung von Toilette/Dusche und wenn eine Tür zugeknallt wird. Frühstück war gut.

• Vicki (8/5): - While our arrival was a bit rocky (arrived on a Sunday when there was no staff available) and the parking situation was scary (very narrow entryway), the rest of our stay was fine. The room was clean and comfortable (albeit a bit cramped), the location was handy to the center of town and to the meetings I had the next morning, the wifi worked, the breakfast was good.

Location perfect, lovely patio area, rooms are quiet, with washcloths and Kleenex! ( first European hotel I have ever visited that had washcloths! The breakfast had marvelous croissants, breads, cereals, juices, yogurts, meats, cheese, and fresh fruit. After that, we were gone most of the day, and came back to a quiet place to sleep. The church nearby does play the bells about 6 am, but you can shut your windows or enjoy as we did, and fall back asleep.Would love to stay there again!

Location is excellent -- close to cathedral and famous library. Parking garage is a real benefit. Room small but typically Swiss -- immaculately clean and efficient. WiFi a little weak in the room. Good breakfast. Would stay here again.

If you're going to St. Gallen, you couldn't do better.
