- Evans (9/5): The Montauk Beach Hotel is a both hip and cozy between the beach and town. - I didn't have breakfast, but a great cappuccino at 8 AM The Montauk Beach House has artistic flair. It's laid out beautifully and the property is walking distance from restaurants and art exhibits on the square. The staff is super friendly. We checked in at 10:00 PM and someone was still there to great us. I loved it. The rooms are super clean and cozy with balconies. The hotel was very quiet, which was good for sleep. Because the front desk person leaves at 11:00, it would have been helpful to have small signage, booklet, bulletin board with the routine or activities... I know everyone is on-line, but a little old school info about what to expect that week as far as entertainment, dining or things going on in town would have been cool.

The footsteps from upstairs are loud, the shower curtain is gross, burning my arse on the scalding hot pipe in the shower was painful, not being allowed to use the pool one day because of a private event.

However, our experience was tainted by a lack of property maintenance and deplorable staff service. The TV did not work and my shower had scalding hot water only. The check-in process was an extreme challenge. But the worst was the pool towel staff who were rude and untrained. When we complained to the property hotel manager, Ms A, she was respectful and offered solutions. The pool manager Ms N, overheard our conversation and confronted us at the pool in front of both staff and guests. A 15 minute discourse was unwelcome and comical to be reprimanded by someone who knows nothing about guest relations and hospitality. The three of us are executives snd travel extensively. This was a personal trip , one that we had planned for many months only for it to be marred.

- Jacob (4/5): I would not stay here again. - The room was clean. The value of what we paid was not met. They charge $750 a night for what basically amounts to a spruced up motel. One of the servers at the pool singled me out to give him my credit card before ordering food by the pool. We asked him if we could use ApplePay, and he said “yes, but we still need a physical card to start a tab”. But the following day, we had a different server that didn’t ask me for that at all. I felt racially discriminated against.

I will say that the hotel was clean and they offered this fantastic event while we were there including free drink samples and appetizers as well as live entertainment. The only downfall is that there was not a refrigerator in our room to chill our drinks and keep our food fresh. I also wish that there was a hot tub to enjoy on days that were colder than others.

Bike rentals, close by beach access, bar and restaurant. Accessible to all great shops and restaurants. Small room and shower. No refrigerator room for my water and fruit. Parking was an issue too many people parked in front that weren’t staying at hotel.

However the occurrence that gave us a poor taste in our mouth was upon checking out. Front desk staff accused us of taking two unnamed items from the minibar In our prior room. We assured them we did not as we had purchased our own items at the local grocery store. Instead of apologizing, numerous housekeeping, staff approached us still accusing. It made my daughter feel victimized and upset. Not a great way to leave such a beautiful vacation

The location is ideal for those who want to be close to beach, have pool access and be able to explore town. The staff at the front desk couldn’t be kinder and more accommodating. They always greeted with a smile and were approachable and had excellent customer service skills. Facility and rooms were very clean At this price point , it’s not acceptable to 1. Not have a keirig or Nespresso is the rooms. One shouldn’t have to leave the room to have coffee. If there isn’t a machine in the room coffee should be provided in lobby. Paying for coffee isn’t expected at this price or at any hotel in 2023. Even motels I have to stay at for travel sports have Keuirg in room now. The showers also aren’t ideal. A small shower is fine but a waterfall shower head in middle of small shower makes washing hair and body difficult without constantly turning off water.

- 985andraf (10/5): Awesome hotel! Highly recommend! - We had the best experience ever at MHB! We had our wedding at a nearby restaurant in Montauk. We and our guests stayed at MHB for the weekend. Adriana from the reservations department was so helpful and easy to work with. The hotel itself is awesome. Newly renovated, the grounds are so cool. There is a heated pool, many lounge areas, and a beautiful lobby. There is a stage that had live music. It rained the day of our wedding, but we were able to take gorgeous photos around the hotel and they all came out so amazing! They also have an enclosed lounge area with heaters and fire pits, it was so dry and comfortable in there it was a great place for everyone to hangout. The drinks and food were great. The rooms were spacious and super clean. All of the staff were awesome and very attentive. It's located right in town, walking distance from everything. Our wedding weekend was perfect. I highly recommend MHB and will definitely be back!
- Brian (2/5): - If you would like to get some sleep then don't stay here. I'm not saying 5 hours, 4,3,2 or even 1 hour. People next to me finally stopped partying at 5am. I thought, maybe I could thankfully get a little 4 hour nap because I have a really long day ahead of me. I would say when I finally fell asleep a family and their kids made your way down to the pool. Yelling, cannonballs and even the classic Marco Polo. This is the kind of thing I expect in Kissimmee Florida before visiting Mickey, not the $1000 I paid to stay at the Beach House.
- David (8/5): Montauk Beach house review - The Montauk Beach house was pretty good. Check in was smooth and the pool area was pleasant. The only issue we had was there was lack of service at the pool restaurant area, we had to search for server to assist us as they were focused on other guests that i dare say were not our complexion. Also we noticed that the GM, i believe named, Yanni, gave us 0 attention or even a greeting yet he managed to greet all other guests who again were not our complexion. We found this very disheartening because we spent a good amount of money and we travel alot and would expect a level of service reciprocated to all guests. The bright spot was Devin the server who was super attentive, showed grace and just was a pleasant person to me and my family. Big up and 10 stars to him. Overall all was well except for the minor bump in the road.
- Erin (7/5): Nice hotel that is centrally located. Atmosphere for a younger crowd. - The location was great. walking distance to center of town and quick walk to beach. The room was clean, decor was nice and bed was relatively comfortable. I had to make numerous trips to front desk upon arrival about AC and miss charges on credit card. You could hear your neighbors slightly thru walls.(signs posted in room to be courteous of neighbors and to remove shoes to not disturb people below you)There was no refrigerator in room, only offered ice. and the tub is in the room=interesting.
- mr116520 (6/5): Good Ambiance - Checked in with my wife… to have a Montauk experience, and we did, type spring break momentum, it felt like it is a hotel for the younger audience type < 35. Food, drinks and ambiance was great, location also good close to the water.
- 216gloriap (10/5): I will be back soon! - I loved staying here, I came to Montauk for a few days all by myself for a little bit of peace and quiet. This place is perfect, the food is absolutely delicious and very diverse, the rooms were very comfortable and cozy, and the beach is only one block away! You can walk straight onto the beach. The staff is very helpful and super sweet and I think the prices are also very reasonable compared to all the expenses places in Montauk, I enjoyed staying here and will definitely be back! Gloria
- CASTLACH (10/5): Great Spot to Stay! - Great Spot! This is our second stay here. The location is perfect right in the middle of town. We love the decor in the rooms. Great bar and grill and 2 pools. Our only complaint is that it says the pools are heated and they were freezing cold at the end of September. Definitely not heated. Even the kids wouldn’t go in. Other than that, we loved everything about or stay and will definitely be back!

- 677rileyr (2/5): Bug Infestation - I stayed at the Montauk Beach House after doing research on the hotel beforehand. When I checked in I found that my room was infested with bugs. I notified the front desk and they treated the issue very nonchalantly. The issue was never dealt with and I was charged full price for that room. Montauk Beach House is certainly not taking precautions to sanitize their rooms because of the Covid pandemic, as most hotels out there are. If a clean room in Montauk is what you’re looking for I would avoid Montauk Beach House at all costs!

- Alyssa (7/5): Loved the pool area, and how the hotel has food and drink accommodations. - Loved how close the hotel is to the beach and town. The texting feature during our stay was awesome and they responded very timely. Super noisy outside our room, could also hear noise from the road. No chair or umbrella service at the beach. The price of drinks for guest as astronomical. Oh and the lounge chairs and uncomfortable.

- Jennifer (6/5): The hotel is nice, but the service stinks. - The rooms are very nice, but extremely small. The bathroom is cramped, and the shower is tiny. Everyone in our party was female and under 5’4”, and we barely fit in the shower. Most upsetting, the front desk staff was rude, unhelpful and largely absent. When someone was working the desk, they invariably had AirPods in, and made you feel uncomfortable for asking a question. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained, but we basically had to beg for towels. We stayed mid week so the hotel was not crowded at all. There was really no excuse for such poor service in such a high end property.
