- Marilyn (6/5): Good corporate location! - The location is great for a corporate stay, but if you’re looking for activity around the hotel, there is none. The property is fairly dated. We’ve stayed there several times.. there has been no refurbishments over the last at least 3-4 years that we know of or can see. Also, we only had breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on anything else, but the breakfast was never good.
- Laurie (10/5): Very nice - Was very nice especially the bath area and the swimming pools Too many covers on the beds and tucked in to tight
- Athena (8/5): Food is expensive but makes sense because it’s amazing. Hotel feels like one is in Italy, in Austin! - Location is one where a car is needed. Most places are 10min drive away from hotel.
- Pavel (9/5): - Location away from the city. Good facilities
- Ned (5/5): - This is a great hotel you stay at if it’s close and convenient to where you’ll be spending time during the day. Looks nice from the outside. Seems popular for weddings or parties (there were multiple on the same day). Complementary coffee in the lobby one morning. Very dated room interiors and filthy if you happen to look under any furniture.
- Sarah (9/5): Comfortable, welcoming, and lovely. - Absolutely enjoyed my time here. It was comfortable, spacious, welcoming, and just lovely. Would for sure stay again.
- 272brannans (10/5): Great dinner! - Great bar, great food, Simo was amazing with recommendations. Very nice celebration meal!
- aubrees705 (6/5): Not the worst, but not great either. - I think we were slightly disappointed with the experience. The front desk and service was polite, but towards check out, there seemed like an urgency to get us out/inflexibility. When booking online, I had asked for a late checkout. I called in the AM to confirm at 10:50, and they said we couldn't do it at all. I asked for just a bit of time for us to get ready (since we had expected to leave after 12), and by 11:04 the housekeeping knocked on our door. We had our bags on our shoulders asking for 2 more minutes, and they seemed visibly annoyed. When we got out of the door, we didn't even see them. It felt like they were sent to rush us out. I was celebrating a sober anniversary for myself, just wanting to have some good girl time, and politely asked for a few more minutes, since the booking over the phone said we could have a later check out. It kind of had the attitude of, "well, sucks. Bye!"
The photos online did the place a lot more justice. It kind of felt like a grandma's back bedroom instead of an updated or resort style room. Not to be mean, but it reminded me of a Holiday Inn almost. Maybe a little under the level of a casual Marriott. It wasn't worth $380. I would've preferred a Marriot at this price point. The couch bed had zero support and you could see the springs pushing through the top. I tried to put towels under the sheets so they weren't digging into my friend, and we called down for blankets multiple times to try to even make it okay to sleep on.
I'm not really a complainer, but it was a bit of a let down for how much that room wise price-wise. I really appreciated the bottle of wine (for my friends - I was celebrating a sober anniversary haha), but it just sort of was a bit of a bummer. Not enough ever to ruin a night, just like well... I thought that would be boujie and cute and fun. Instead, it was a bit old, run down, and cold-natured with some staff. Just felt off.
- barbarafS1920HZ (10/5): The best birthday at Laurel! - Came to Hotel Viata to celebrate my birthday at the lovely restaurant called Laurel. Chose to dine outdoors, it was windy but a perfect temperature! We had the most wonderful server taking care of us—Simo Anani—who truly made us feel comfortable and brought us delicious appetizers and amazing wine!
He treated us to a fabulous birthday dessert to celebrate the occasion. My sister and her husband had flown in for the weekend and loved the dining experience! Food was excellent, service was the best! Thank you, Laurel and SIMO🙌👏👏👏👏

- A545PBdonnab (10/5): Very Special - Wonderful experience! The ambiance, food and hospitality were superb.
Simo was the best waiter and had great recommendations. The Burrata appetizer was outstanding, the ribeye was cooked perfectly and the pistachio cake was the best treat.
I’ll be back to visit again.
- F9764QHmichaels (10/5): Highly recommend - I will be returning to this hotel for sure. The hotel itself was so cool and fun to stay at. I felt I got great value for my money as well.
- mollywL2866AU (10/5): April business trip - Simo is amazing! So kind, patient, and professional. They made great recommendations and took phenomenal care of us! The food was delicious and very well done.
- Stay04549072779 (6/5): Mediocre - I scheduled 3 massages and two facials with family. The day of our appointment i got a cold sore, so obviously could not get my facial. It's a medical issue, nothing I could do. I still did the massage which was just ok, and the other two got massages and another a facial. I spent a lot of money there and then they charged me 90.00 dollars because I "cancelled" my facial. She could obviously see I had one. I would not recommend this spa. You can get a better service at other spas for a lot less.
- tonisU6842LH (8/5): First Visit to Hotel Viata - Family Highly Recommended It - Nice hotel. We didn't stay long enough to take advantage of most of their amenities. The restaurant was good, service a bit slow even with very few people in the restaurant. Not an issue for us just relaxing and visiting with family... but noticable.

- nhT2285LH (10/5): Business with a side of relaxation - Always a wonderful experience. Nothing like returning to your hotel room after a busy day of meetings to relax with the calming view of the hillside, great food, and a glass of wine.
- Keith (1/5): -
- Mark (10/5): - Nice, upscale feel in a quiet location $40 daily “resort” fee. This is a nice hotel, but far from resort status.
- Joey (10/5): Pleasant surprise on a quick overnight in Austin. - Beautiful place to stay and not too far from downtown. Nothing!
- L4250OPwilliamf (10/5): 9/10 - The rooms were spacious and nice. I couldn’t find a bad thing to say about the hotel besides the distance it was from the city centre.
- V59RBamandav (10/5): Simo is a wonderful waiter at Laurel! - Simo was a phenomenal waiter at Laurel restaurant. We were delighted to have him!! So kind and professional. John the supervisor was so great! The food was amazing as well! Chef’s kiss! We can’t wait to come back!
- Q5813BEjosephr (8/5): Great Location and Senery for a family trip - Would recommend! - Great location, Great Hotel and Vibe. Would comeback for a special occasion. I would recommend arriving during the day to gain the full experience.
- triptaker040 (10/5): Relaxing mother daughter trip - Hotel Viata was perfect for our mother daughter (teen) spring break. We enjoyed the pretty pool, Laurel Restaurant (special shoutout to Simo, who is so friendly and kind) and the relaxing vibe of the hotel. The hotel is located at the top of a beautiful hillside and is still close to restaurants and shopping in downtown Austin. Would definitely go back!
- jennifer (7/5): - Location I. North west Too expensive
- Tracy (8/5): Lovely property rooms spacious and the water was hot, but the staff mostly very uninviting - Beautiful property Parking easy in and out. Centrally located to what I needed. The staff was not the most courteous. The desk clerk was a bit sarcastic she did her job but as far as friendly no.
The doorman or the carhop plainly saw me struggling with luggage and that heavy door. Offered no assistance until I asked for it.
Both bartenders were friendly and attentive.
- dominiquem64200 (8/5): Another stay at the Hotel Viata! - The front desk continues to perform at a high level. The team there is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and consistently professional. They truly set a great tone for the hotel experience.
Unfortunately, my stay was impacted by an issue with the room temperature. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to properly heat the room. Engineering responded promptly and provided portable heaters, which helped somewhat, but the room never reached a comfortable level. This is not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
The valet service, however, was the most disappointing aspect of my stay. On two separate occasions, I requested my car through “Lea,” the hotel’s virtual assistant, and both times the valet team had no record of the request. This created unnecessary delays and frustration.
Additionally, when my car was finally brought around, the valet attendant focused on holding my door—seemingly in anticipation of a tip—rather than assisting with my luggage. At nearly 70 years old, I expect basic service such as help with loading luggage into the trunk. While I am fully capable of opening my own car door, I did need assistance with my bags, which was not offered.
This lack of attentiveness was disappointing and not aligned with the level of service I associate with this hotel. As a result, I adjusted my tip accordingly and left feeling frustrated.
I genuinely like this property, but these service gaps—particularly with valet and room comfort—give me pause when considering a return visit. I hope these issues can be addressed, as the hotel has the potential to deliver a much stronger overall experience
- G6392AXnancyw (8/5): Bartender issues - Loved everything about this hotel except the bartender. I got to check in about 3 pm, a little early, so I spent some time in the bar. The older bartender was not very friendly, the younger one was good. He was quite overwhelmed because it was a very busy day and he was the only bartender working. I think for an upscale hotel, the bartenders need to be more polite to the guests.
- Florian (9/5): -
- James (8/5): Room needs a refresh - Spacious room with high ceiling, free parking, nice quiet area Worn out old carpet in the room was unpleasant. Lighting in the bathroom is dared and dull.
- Nguyen (8/5): - The view The restroom
- Kyle (10/5): -
- TouristAsia (2/5): Terrible Hotel - Complete and utter waste of money. Notwithstanding the fact that I was there at recover from surgery, staff begs and complains about lack of tips and poor mgt, no water in room, very poor hygiene as hair in bed, toilet dirty, lights don't work, and on top of this they charge a seperate "resort fee" for items not even used such as gym, sauna, etc ... I was billed 3-weeks post stay for resort fee.
A complete rip off so I highly recommend skipping this dump.
- Curtis (10/5): Such a beautiful property with an amazing view. - Clean staff was super friendly Everything was great!
- Quest17750562920 (10/5): Anniversary Experience @ Laurel Restaurant ✨ - Simo made our anniversary dinner at Laurel truly unforgettable. His service was gracious, attentive, and deeply thoughtful, setting the tone for an evening that felt both intimate and exceptional. The restaurant was beautiful, with stunning views and a romantic, secluded atmosphere that gave us the perfect setting to celebrate.
The cuisine was exquisite! We ordered the focaccia with chili butter, arancini, pesto pasta, and sea bass, and every dish was beautifully executed. The flavors were layered and refined, the textures were impeccable, and each course felt elegant and intentional ✨
What elevated the evening even further was Simo’s remarkable hospitality. He checked in with perfect attentiveness, accommodated our requests seamlessly, took photos for us, and surprised us with flowers and complimentary cake for our anniversary. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal, polished, and memorable.
Laurel delivered a beautiful dining experience, and Simo made it extraordinary 🥹 Thank you, Simo!
- L2684VZpetera (10/5): To infinity and beyond… - Look up “hospitality” and Simo will show up. The service and the food was equally beyond. We will be back!!
- manuelaX8837GY (10/5): Great host, great ambiance and food - I have to start with the host, Simo who took care of me that night. He was very kind, welcoming, and attentive at all times. The food was enjoyable; I had the Bolognese and the burrata appetizer. The dessert was also great and I truly recommend it: the pistachio and ricotta cake.
Will definitely be coming back during my next stay at the Viata!
- Wenker (7/5): - They did not have my reservation.
- carolinacI1640EG (10/5): Amazing food $ Amazing Simo!!! - The food was absolutely amazing as was the live music and vibe! Simo brought the energy and warmth and was amazing for us this evening! Definitely will be back for him :)
- S176TClenab (10/5): Wonderful date night - Simo was a wonderful waiter and was very knowledgeable on the menu items. We had a wonderful dining experience and the atmosphere was delightful.
- naneaa2019 (4/5): Painful service. - I’ve been to this location countless times sadly this will be my last. It left a bitter taste in my mouth and even though it is cheaper than the city it’s not worth it in my opinion. The service was so bad I felt like most the workers (not all) were being held by gunpoint to work. It was painful asking for anything or being there. I had issues with my room and if they didn’t realize it, their staff was condescending and made me wait 20 min before getting me another room all the while telling me they were in their way. (I even asked them- what is your definition of on your way?) I was running late to pick up my son but obviously they had better things to do. Long story short, one rude employee after another. No thank you.
- 368aislynj (10/5): Excellent Night Away - The hotel was excellent. The food in the restaurant was very good and the server was top notch! The free parking was also convenient. The room was clean and the view is beautiful.
- Michael (7/5): Comfortable and quaint amenities in a good location, could use some updates and overall transparency - Great location within the hills of Austin. Really enjoyed the view from the room. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast options were very tasty. The check in process was seamless and the front desk staff were friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortably, but they are not quite as updated as the pictures appear online [some stains on the carpets]. There are a few tricky non-disclosures, such as the breakfast restaurant charging $5 for coffee but not letting you know that you could bring the free complementary coffee that is being served a few feet away into the restaurant instead. Also we were offered "free parking" as a complimentary add-on, only to find out that every guest has the option for free parking in the garage. When we brought this up with the front desk after our car had already been valet parked [which we thought was included], we were just told sorry and charged the after hours fee anyways. This could have been handled much better.
- Diego (10/5): 11/10 would stay again no questions asked - Location was perfect and the staff was incredibly accommodating. I could’ve not asked for a more perfect place to have proposed to my girlfriend. I want to especially thank Isabella, the front desk manager, for being amazingly accommodating, especially in such short notice, and for the strawberries and champagne. I was not expecting any of that and that went above and beyond any of my expectations. I will look forward to booking with this hotel for future anniversaries and special events. My fiance and I Want to thank the hotel with sincerity for everything Literally everything was perfect
- Faisal (10/5): Amazing - The property was extremely clean and well maintained it felt like you were transported to Italy and the food and staff were amazing! Some of our outlets didn’t work in the suit we had however overall everything was great!
- Teresa (5/5): Great location in the west side of Austin - It was in a good location and it had great views. The front desk staff were nice. Parking was convenient and was included with the room. On the surface, the room looked nice. Taking a closer look, it wasn't very functional. The bathroom had louvered doors, so there was no real privacy. There also was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. It was hit-or-miss getting the towels refreshed every night. The mini-fridge had 2 bottles of water when we arrived and those were supposed to be replaced every night but they weren't. There was only one chair in the room so one of us had to sit on the bed. We got a call from the front desk on our last full day there that they wanted to bring a sofa up since there had been one in there before, but we said to wait until we checked out because, frankly, we didn't know where there was enough space for a sofa anyway. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft. They sunk in the middle.
- Journey742099 (6/5): Very Disappointed visit !!! - I was very disappointed with my recent stay in Austin.
1st- I was told on the phone I would have a high-floor room. Of course, staying in the Texas hill country, you want a room with a view. To my disappointment, we were placed on the 2nd floor, with no view except the office building across the street. I was told we could upgrade rooms for an additional fee to a room with a view. I refused.
2nd- We ate breakfast in the on-site restaurant. $62 for breakfast is a little ridiculous I think. Not to mention my wife ordered a very simple plate, eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. I only ordered 2 sides, sausage and toast. 1 coffee and one Coca-Cola, and yes $62
3rd. We received a text while there on a Saturday, "Complimentary cookies and homemade lemonade in the lobby from 4-6 PM. We went to the lobby at 5 PM. There were no more cookies, and the lemonade was hot. I asked when more cookies would be brought out, and was told by the front desk, the cookies are all gone, and there would be no more. In my opinion, they should have said "first-come, first-served". Not made it sound like there would be cookies available from 4-6. I was told by another guest that they only put out like a dozen cookies. Give me a break. 12 cookies for an entire hotel?
4th- The day of our departure, my wife wanted coffee, and I had noticed complimentary coffee at the bar. So she took advantage of something else that was supposed to be complementary, and of course, the coffee was cold at 10:30 AM.
This was my second visit to the hotel, and more than likely my last!
- mkk2026 (10/5): Lovely anniversary dinner - I had a lovely anniversary dinner sitting near the beautiful tree with lovely live music ambience. Highly recommend Simo as your waiter.
- ziyaa2026 (2/5): Unpleasant Hotel Viata experience - The hotel Viata is located at a nice distance from the city and has good view to the wooded hills.
Our room was average and nothing special compared to same level of hotels we stayed before.
While our stay, there was a shortage of staff as we had to place the same request several times before we received the service.
One thing we were very disappointed about was that the barman who served us during a late lunch put his own tip on our bill (32% to be precise). After calling and leaving messages at the billing section of the hotel, I was completely ignored and received no response about thiseven though I explained my entire experience. Surely this told me that the staff of this hotel from the barman to the other office workers aren't trustworthy and they don't care about the hotel's business.
As a first time customer who loves to visit Austin regularly, I will not accommodate my family in this hotel again! I do not recommend this hotel.
- Rosemar (4/5): ⭐️⭐️ (2/5) I’m very disappointed with my stay. This hotel claims to be a high-standard / five-star property, bu -
- travelingb2026 (10/5): Amazing Food, Italian Vibes, and Outstanding Service from Simo - We chose Hotel Viata for our wedding dinner, and it was absolutely perfect. The ribeye and salmon were delicious, the views were stunning, and the atmosphere felt like a little slice of Italy. Their pistachio cake and tiramisu are hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. We were also surprised with complimentary drinks and dessert, which made the night even more special.
A huge thank you to our host Simo—he was truly amazing and made the entire experience unforgettable. Elegant interiors, a beautiful patio, and an incredible vibe. I always come here for birthdays, special moments, or even solo self-treat time. Highly recommend! ✨🇮🇹
- luis gabriel (10/5): -
- calebrG283PD (10/5): It was exceptional - The experience was amazing! Simo was our server and he was exceptional, super personable and took great care of us!! We definitely loved our experience here!
- T7567LWalexw (10/5): Great service and food. - Simo provided great service from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, which made the entire experience even better. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the positive vibe highly recommend!
- kayvens (10/5): Outstanding! - Dining at the Laurel was a wonderful experience! The food and atmosphere was superb and the service was fantastic! Our waiter Simo was attentive, kind and personable. He was great! Can’t wait to be back!
- Trek58444556595 (10/5): Christmas dining at the Laurel with Simo - My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dining experience in the Laurel. The food is 5 Star, however, our server, Simo was so attentive and professional, it simply tied a great big Christmas bow on our time together. Go there, you won’t be disappointed.
- 894sunj (10/5): Great hotel that deserves 5 stars! - We visited Austin and this hotel for the first time for our kid's sporting event, and this hotel was great. Great ambiance, clean, easy parking, and friendly staff. The restaurant was also great - we tried both breakfast and dinner, and we came back a few times for great food and service. I want to give a shoutout to a staff member, Simo for excellent service. He was so nice, friendly, and the warmest server we've met. We really enjoyed our stay here.
- G6726HLcl (10/5): Lovely Dinner with Simo - We enjoyed a DELICIOUS meal and an amazing experience with our waiter, Simo. He was so lovely and kind and brightened our dinner- we had a great experience. Made our visit to family in Austin feel even a little warmer and homey.
- Companion591344 (10/5): Fantastic food and service! - This was our second time visiting and both experiences were fabulous. Our server Simo, gave us great recommendations and was incredibly friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back for other special occasions!
- KevinK5779 (10/5): Simo makes you look good! - Dino was my waiter and it was quite possibly one of the best dining experiences of my life, in no short part due to his attention to detail, council , advice, and service
- 89deniseg (10/5): Friendly hilltop comfort - This is my second stay with Hotel Viata in Austin. The accommodations are very clean and the staff is friendly. Chris at the front desk was very professional and gracious. I remembered him from the last time I was there. He remains “collected” even with several customers vying for his attention at one time. The hotel itself is situated atop a hill and it has a very peaceful and beautiful view. The restaurant provides upscale options and a decent wine selection. I will stay here again.
- nolant193 (10/5): Great dining experience - Our server Simo made this night so special. Service was on point. Attentive, caring, genuine and with great suggestions. Would come back again. The atmosphere is good for casual fine dining. Live music. Great food, even better desserts.
- G5856LKsophiaf (10/5): Great Food, Better Service - We re-visited Laurel Restaurant after dining here in May while we stayed at Viata for our anniversary. We have had nothing but amazing, memorable experiences at Laurel Restaurant. We have had the pleasure of being served by Simo on several occasions, and I can say with confidence that he is the best, most pleasant server I have ever had. We so look forward to dining here. The food is great (the porterhouse is incredible), but you can’t find servers like Simo anywhere else.
- mufasa4444 (10/5): Excellent Customer Service - The hotel is beautiful with a laid back but luxury feel. We arrived late in the evening and were quickly directed to the restaurant by the front desk staff to be sure that we could get a meal prior to closing. We were told that we could leave our car parked out front while we ordered. Simo from Laurel was amazing, he told us to order and that he would get our table ready and food started while we finished settling in our room and moved our car to the parking garage. It was perfect. We had an amazing meal and experienced a stress-free night. Simo was so lovely that we opted to eat at Laurel the following two evenings. Overall we were beyond pleased with our stay.

- 873behnamg (4/5): Just ok - Poolside bar was closed, dishes and glasses were dirty in the breakfast, room service was so slow, I asked for a towel and it took 1 hour to bring it to the room.

- Jet57408858254 (10/5): Ask for Simo! - Ask for Simo! He was amazing & very attentive, honestly the best dining service I’ve ever had! He took very good care of my family & I. The food and drinks were amazing. Make sure to make room for the cannoli trio (:
- Seaside64966623851 (2/5): BAD EXPERIENCE with ROOM and hotel MANAGER - Horrible experience in an outdated, dirty room. Previous water damage ruined the carpet and bathroom had water damage. Carpet was badly stained bedside from personal body fluid. Manager would not acknowledge our complaints. She told us she hoped we got a better room next time. Do not recommend.
- luispadillaPATAS1968 (10/5): Great meal at Laurel restaurant with a fantastic server - We had an excellent meal but especially fantastic service with Simo as our waiter. Kibd, warm and with great recommendations, he made our meal there memorable
- emanallozi (10/5): Simo is the best! - Stayed at Viata for a work training. Simo was amazing!! He’s the best! He offered the best service at Viata and made sure everyone had a lovely time!

Most stuff fantastic but a couple were almost rude
- Companion666518 (10/5): Simo was great! - Simo at Laurel was amazing! He completely accommodated for us when we came in early and made our entire experience. He was the sweetest and we had a lovely anniversary.
- Paradise18421502046 (10/5): Simo was the best server I’ve ever had - Simo made our entire experience! He was the best server I’ve had in Austin. He is the sole reason I will be coming back here. The burger was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. When you go make sure to ask for Simo!
- Wilson (5/5): Average. Rooms dark and tired - Bit worn out. Breakfast staff arguing.

- caitlin2906 (10/5): 10/10!!! Best hotel ever!! - Chandler and Patrick were absolutely amazing !!!! They gave us some really great recommendations for Austin, and were so lovely to chat with. Highly recommend utilising Chandler’s Duber service - 10/10 driver!! The front desk staff (I believe one was Rachel and I didn’t catch the young blonde ladies name) are also soo incredibly and so lovely to speak with - it was so lovely coming down and they remembered us each time. Also a big shout out to the Spa Staff (Rita!!)- such a beautiful area and services provided. Overall such a beautiful hotel, location and services. We definitely will stay here if we come back to Austin, an all around amazing place to stay for vacation!
- 380teishac (10/5): Great accomodation and friendly staff - Had a great experience staying here, everyone has been so welcoming and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again. Special mention for Patrick and Chandler for their hospitality, giving us the best recommendations and being our personal chauffeur during our stay.

- Feroz (10/5): - very nice exllant
- Montr (10/5): - We enjoy our stays here everyone is always so nice so accommodating and the food at the hotel is delicious. This trip did not disappoint. I will say that this trip the bed was super hard and the pillows were super soft but we enjoyed our stay have Ibuprofen and will stay here in again.
- sanjay (10/5): - Quick and short stay but enjoyed it
- Deborah (10/5): - I stayed in a standard king room on the 7th floor. I was traveling solo, and I felt very secure due to the required card access for the elevators and ever-present staff on the ground floor of the hotel in the lobby and outside in the valet area. My room was also in the center of the hallway (meaning equal number of rooms to my left and right). I never heard a single door slam or a shower start or a tv turn on. It was QUIET — one of my top qualities when looking for a hotel. Everything about the hotel was simple (not ornate) but felt very luxe. I felt like I got my money’s worth!
- LaurenS252 (10/5): Must go! - Nothing left over. This restaurant was amazing! Beautiful views, amazing service, and valet. We could not get enough of the delicious, rich pasta and meatballs, we didn’t have room for dessert, it was that good! Our waiter, Simo, was phenomenal. Next time we want to stay at the hotel for an evening, it looks so nice. A little getaway just outside of Austin.
- 913carlied (10/5): Family Dinner - Our dinner experience was so great! Simo was our waiter and was amazing. We brought our toddler and Simo was more than accomodating and friendly. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel is gorgeous! Will definitely recommend
- Lillie (4/5): - Dated
- Kelly (9/5): The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us! - Beautiful hotel and lovely views of the hills. Extremely clean, friendly and courteous staff.
- hatim (2/5): - Charge me twice nobody is responding to my calls
- Brandon (6/5): Sorry so negative! - Unfortunately we didn’t feel this to be a 4-star hotel experience. Location in the hills made for a great view and appearance of building inside and out was pleasing. The small details is what made this a mediocre visit. Elevator seemed to show age because the faux panels had chips and cut lines showed splintering. Outlet by coffee pot didn’t work so we had to move coffee pot to restroom in order to use. Wife said coffee was horrible. Room door made noises as if someone was trying to get in but it was housekeeping working at 4:30pm and as they slammed doors to nearby rooms the air pressure caused our door to move. I had to fold cardboard to stick in door to quiet the rattle. TV remote didn’t work properly. Laurel restaurant was very expensive based on the fact that entrees didn’t come with sides they had to be ordered as another billed item. The food was tasty but overall it was basic so we were disappointed. These details may seem minor to most clientele but when an average couple looks to pay a little more for a great experience those flaws stick out.
- 725kanakas (10/5): Excellent staff and accomodations - First time staying at Hotel Viata, celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The staff were so kind and accommodating. They actually upgraded us to a suite at no charge! It was so comfortable and nice to spread out. I was expecting more modern style but the rooms are fairly traditional looking with mid-century design. Ended up spending more time in the room than I thought!
The pool area was great, and the water was chilly. A little cold for me when the sky was overcast, but my partner loved it. The spa/massage area was nice and relaxing (but be prepared for luxury prices). I have an immune condition and the staff were kind enough to mask in the room.
I also took advantage of a deal to purchase food/drink at 20% off by prepaying. We ended up spending even more than I purchased, so make sure to take advantage of that and do your math beforehand. The restaurant had an excellent selection of vegetarian-friendly food and tasty desserts. The staff did a great job of remembering us after that first meal and that we wanted outdoor seating. Very attentive and quick to make recommendations and remind us of deals happening that week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have been there even longer!
- John (10/5): - Great stay. My only concern was that I was charged incorrectly at checkout and told that it would take 5-7 days to give me my money back, “depending on my bank” which seemed to imply this was my fault. I don’t know why they couldn’t charge me correctly in the first place, it wasn’t a complicated stay with lots of charges. Otherwise, very happy.
- mia (10/5): Very nice - Lovely hotel in great location. Very peaceful and relaxing. Perfect for a quick couples trip.
