Guest Reviews
- Emma (10/5): This quaint cottage was perfect for a few nights of escape from the city! Gorgeous views feeling like you’re in the midd - Cottage was lovely, clean and modern. Gorgeous views of the forest. Close by to all of the surrounding villages, lots of forest walks only a short drive away. Host had background music playing in the cottage and left us a welcome package with breakfast and Prosecco! Nothing! Our stay was perfect :)
- Anonymous (10/5): Beautiful. - Beautiful location and view, supplied breakfast and juice. Will definitely be back!!
- Steph (10/5): Perfect babymoon in nature - Fireplace with a goof stock of wood to get started. Surrounded by trees and green. Great stash of DVDs to get cosy with the fireplace to. Breakfast basket was delicious. Close to townships. I loved it all. The steep driveway might scare a few, but there is heaps of turn around room at the bottom.
- Tracey (9/5): Cozy stay. - Environment, fireplace and comfortable bed. Small shower.
- Bethany (10/5): An idyllic forest hideaway in a perfect location - Beautiful location, so remote, and yet not too far away from places of interest. We loved the big window into the forest, and the mossy ground near the outdoor table set.
- Simon (10/5): A romantic place to live, laugh and love! - An amazing location, beautiful scenery, great facilities - simply perfect! Nothing it as perfect!
- Heidi (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little cottage, loved the big windows looking out to the magnificent view We couldn’t find sugar to make coffee.
Lots of rules and regulations, didn’t like leaving then waiting a week to get it
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Gorgeous location and cottage. - Walking into the cottage after a long drive, heater on and soft music playing. Unreal. Highly recommend anybody else trying it out. Was a fantastic weekend away. Was honestly impressed from top to bottom.
- Eid (8/5): It was a blessed day, thank you. - The breakfast was awesome, a great veritie. Some instant coffee, just so I could make a quick coffee.
- Gina (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (9/5): Amazing, private getaway, would come back - Everything! Spa/Bath was huge, bed comfortable, very private Wood was damp so was hard to keep fire going
- Laura (10/5): Romantic, Clean and memorable - Everything was perfect, from the cozy fireplace to the Large spa we had a nice romantic getaway which was memorable and overdue. The bed was comfy and the sheets and linen felt luxurious. We will be back and highly recommend this accommodation. We got out the scrabble and games which was nice for us to connect and have time off our phones Loved it all
- Mark (8/5): Very relaxing and comfortable. - Cosy and quiet with a lovely view.
- Laura (4/5): Nice location but disappointing stay. - Loved the spectacular view out of the bedroom windows Booked for our 2nd anniversary weekend, conveniently during our stay the owner let us know that the spa wasn’t working which was the whole reason I booked this place if I had known before our stay I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere.
Also the continental breakfast was all well and truly out of date. Owner then offered a pitiful 10% off as compensation or 30% off next stay which will not be happening.
Very very disappointed.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - The serenitynothing much really
- Tara (10/5): A perfect excape! - We love the gorgeous cottage. Stunning views! The only thing that could be improved would be the driveway.
- Anonymous (9/5): Good experiance in a cosy cottage - The properly was private and in a good location and also the age of the properly was well suited to us! We had a few issues with the wifi connection as we couldn’t connect and a few tv connection issues
- Cindy (10/5): awesome - loved every minute of our stay at the cottage
- Truong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - Setting, bedroom view of native bushland. Spa, king size bed. Proximity to little villages.
- Leanne (3/5): very disappointing, would not recommend - The view from the bedroom was amazing. Emelia from Valley Ranges Getaways was amazing moving us to a more acceptable accomodation the following day after the issues we encountered, Highly recommend Valley Ranges Getaways but would not recommend Cottage in the Forest The King Bed had a Queen Doona on it, the mattress was collapsed on both sides so if you rolled over you fell out, totally unacceptable to expect people to sleep in it. there was only one teaspoon, all the cutlery was filthy. there was barely any firewood for the open fire. there was no normal black tea ( promoted as Tea and coffee supplied, there was 2 sachets of peppermint Tea and 2 sachets of chai tea. promoted as continental breakfast included on 1st day, there was a lovely loaf of bread but there was only 1 tiny sachet of Honey, 1 tiny sachet of Jam and 2 Vegemite for 2 people
- Monica (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional - I absolutely loved everything about the cottage, especially the amazing view from the bedroom window, I thoroughly enjoyed me stay, what a beautiful place to be I cannot name one thing i didn't like
- Martine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (7/5): A sweet cottage excellent for short stays where a laundry might not be needed where there are driveway issues but endles - We arrived a few days before our wedding and were very, very surprised and delighted to find a beautiful bunch of flowers and drinks and food waiting for us. Thank you for these thoughtful touches. We had a planned power outage on our first full day there and the owner came and set up a generator for us which we found amazingly helpful. The view from the main bedroom window is TO DIE FOR. As others have noted, the driveway is a problem. It is steep yes but there is a bit of concrete at the bottom we were spinning the tyres on our van on in the beginning. It’s all a bit perilous but we quickly learned to stick as far to the right as possible and to go as quickly as we could. It felt like a stress though perhaps smaller cars might be better suited to it? Also there was no laundry. i didn’t think to specifically look for one in the description originally (as I never have before) but perhaps this is on me.
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
