Guest Reviews
- Michael (2/5): - Drug use
Sex in stairways
Filth
Human feces in stairway
Urine in stairway
- Sherica (2/5): - It needs a lot of work
- Jason (2/5): - I would never stay hear again even if it was for free.
- David (10/5): - I love it
- Lora (6/5): - At check-in, the staff is very very nice. The room is good if you need just a quick overnight. The cable didn’t work. The fire alarm kept beeping. I’m assuming that there were renovations still in progress being the front area was a bit of a mess. This is an adequate hotel if you need a quick stop at her.
- Maria (6/5): - Area not safe, front desk dirty. Room ok
- Donna (2/5): - Smoke detectors and remotes missing from room. No soap. When I went to the office to correct problem, the lobby was locked at 2 pm, no one answered repeated visits to press the buzzer, no one answered the phone number placed on lobby wall. We contacted our credit card to reverse charges and found other safe accommodations.
- Matthew (4/5): - We were only in town for a night but needed somewhere local to Rowland. We booked this hotel for the price, hoping it would not be as bad as some of the reviews. We were mistaken. There has been non renovations that one reviewer published (3 years ago). There is no lobby to walk into, just a window in a foyer. Majority of rooms are out of service and in various stage of repair. You'll hear the traffic on I-95 all night long, there is no hand soap or other toiletries besides toilet paper, and if you have kids, don't turn the TV to Channel 2!! It was a wake up call. Due to all of these concerns, we opted to stay for only a night vice our scheduled two. Now that we have been in the area, there are several other, smaller but nicer hotels in the area.
- Ronald (6/5): - older facility - you get what you pay for
- Thiago (2/5): - very dirty room
- Joaquim (10/5): - Right off I 95 and inexpensive
- Yecenia (8/5): - The price and availability was worth it to not fall asleep while driving.
- Dayanand (2/5): - This place should not even be on Expedia. Floor all sandy, everything in a " ready to fall condition ". Stray cats in front atleast 10 of them leaving bones all ove. Unhygienic place. I thinj i should get a refund..
- Connie (2/5): Most disgusting place I’ve ever been to! Beware! - It was the absolute most disgusting place I’ve ever seen. Honestly an extremely scary environment! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there. I paid in full online and ended up not staying there. I literally just left at the office after speaking to the owner.
- Rosalia (6/5): disgusting - They put $50 on hold on my account and he didn't even want to check the room because we left early.
One of the lamps wasn't working and when I called to complain he said someone probably disconnected it, no offer to connect it and it was behind the bed and it was so dusty.
The sync was lose and I really hope that they don't charge me for it, because I reported it.
the room smell very bad.
- Christine (6/5): - I only stayed here because I was extremely exhausted and had been driving since 5 o’clock in the morning if I wasn’t so tired I definitely would have stayed someplace else. The room was clean and everything was fine inside the room, but it was the area outside and the area in general made me feel unsafe.
- Robert (8/5): - No ice machine kind ofrun down outside room was good for a good nights sleep
- Pedro (6/5): - The property has many abandoned rooms and there are sketchy individuals frequenting the area
- Melanie (8/5): - Staff was very nice. Helped me out in a jam. Beds very comfortable. Liked casino on property definitely a plus
- William (4/5): - The blankets in the room smells like dirty feet. The bath room was dirty. This is why we skipped the shower. We wanted to complain in the morning to the manager when trying to check out, but no one was there at 9:15 AM. So we left the key in the room.
- Stacie (4/5): - The manager was rude when I called. The gentleman who was cleaning the room was a good employee. The room was run down but it was a bed to sleep in. Most of the electrical sockets are loose and don’t even hold the chargers. The bathroom had 3 dead insects on the floor. The bathroom ceiling fan is super noisy and when i used the bathroom, the handle did not come back up so it flooded the bathroom so beware of that.
- Rob (2/5): - Disgusting, cockroaches I turned around and walked out
- Cody (4/5): Keep going to the next place - Roaches and bedbugs
If I had it to do over I would t stay here
- Steve (2/5): - Not safe
- Hugh (2/5): - Bad
- Mark (10/5): - Clean, courtesy and not expensive. Works well for me.
- Wesley (2/5): - Terrible
- Roberta H (10/5): - Quiet & safe.
- Susan (4/5): - Bad condition and only a few rooms open. Not a place I will stay again!
- Kristine (2/5): - Horrible. Dirty, unsafe broken window,
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Sheets were stained with what looked like blood. Heater did not work well for hours to warn up the room Overall not a great stay
- Arturo (2/5): - Simply horrible. We checked in and out within 30 minutes.
- Kenneth (4/5): - Main issue with this hotel is that the room rate advertised and charged is not the real rate. Unless you usually read all the fine print of the contract when you book and pay the non-refundable amount on your phone, you won't learn that you still owe for the room when you check in. You can refuse to pay the extra fee, but they already have the non-refundable amount so if you refuse, what are you going to do?
The final rate is still on the low side, but the property is definitely sub-par, approaching flea bag status. But what they are doing should be considered a scam, in my opinion.
- gary (4/5): - Hotel lobby smells hotel seems it’s on its last days more than half of the hotel is vacant hotel is lobby smells one man running all by himself no breakfast and if there was nobody going to eat it with the front desk area smelling smelling never will stay there again Expedia should remove knight inn from there website not up to par this hotel is straight up garbage
- Karensa L (2/5): - Room smelled strongly of cat urine! The entire property was so dirty, in shambles. Worst place I have ever stayed. Owner had zero interest in being friendly. Apparently, the property has one employee! He does desk, maintenance, housekeeping and gets paid $3.00 per hourunder the table. The employee was very friendly and did his best under the circumstances. People were hanging out in their cars most of the night. Seemed like drug activity. TV had unfiltered porn! And regular channels were staticy. It was just plain awful. Was charged a $5.00 cleaning fee at check in. Plus a $50.00 deposit. (??). $5.00 was reimbursed, but so far not the $50.00.
- Stacy (10/5): Very clean and nice AND comfortable - The room was clean. Much cleaner than the one I stayed at the night before. Very nice people at the desk. I am thinking of staying again on my next trip to South Carolina.
- Christa (2/5): - Keep looking there are plenty of other hotels near by. This is just awful.
- Julie (8/5): Great location! - Great location! Very convenient. I stayed one night on my way from Tampa to NC. It was comfortable, clean, and just what i expected based on the reviews. No frills.
- Hector (6/5): - Ok for the price
- Jeane (2/5): - I had signed up for 2 double beds...confirmation came for one king size...there was a hidden one night charge so I took the one night. The room only had 2 wash cloths and 2 towels ..good thing we had our own, Additionally the manager asked for a $50 deposit to be returned on check out if the room was left intact. Do not recommend.
- Willie (4/5): Terrible - Bed is broken in middle needs work
- brenda (6/5): get what you pay for - was really ran down no extras the water was hot, air was cold, the bed was very comfortable ok for a place to rest would not stay there again it was so ran down some of it was roped off for tear down
- David (4/5): Creepy bates motel - Upon driving up it appears the entire building is abandoned and should be torn down. Was looking for a cheap motel that was pet friendly. After checking in there was a knock on my door saying I owed a $30 dog fee. No where on hotels.com website is a pet fee mentioned.
Room is the bare minimum. Would Not recommend
- Lee (2/5): - I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE MY $50 DEPOSIT BACK AND THEY STILL HAVENT RETURNED IT. I CHECKED OUT ALMOST 12 HOURS AGO.
- Jasmine (4/5): - Really needs to be remodeled
- Karen Mark (8/5): - Its a private owner hes always on the property and trying to improve it,The south of the border shops are a -5 minute drive away waffle house is right across the street we would stay there again if back in the area.
- Joaquin (2/5): - Extremely dirty, horrible smell.
- meryl (2/5): - Run down, cat pee smell, wiring coming from ceiling, tub gross, very scary area....NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!
T.V. doesn't work, lock on door missing.... very scary stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst night ever - Dirty room, stained towels, cockroaches everywhere and a cat trapped in the room next to the one they put me in even though the whole place was empty.
- Linda (2/5): - Room so stinky. Reception guy not friendly at all. Disgusting place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very dirty, unsanitary, unclean. The windows were so dirty, the curtains need to be cleaned and hung properly, the carpet needs to be removed, and the room needs to be steam, painted, deordorized! Thank God that I only was there overnight.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was disgusting and not staying conditions l went with my mom l ordered pizzas put it down in roaches was in my room i want a refund
- Patricia (6/5): - Terrible!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Queen - My stay was horrible because the ppl in the next room where slamming doors all night long and fighting and the office didn't do anything about it and also they took my $50 deposit for the reason of the sheets where dirty in all reality the top cover had cigarette burns in it already would not recommend anyone to stay at this property they are cheats
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place was full of drug attic‘s bumming cigarettes trying to borrow money outside making lots of noise at 2 AM would definitely not suggest this place
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect place to staY - The staff was extremely helpful!!
- Richard (6/5): My 2 Stays - Room clean and Ok!! Price the best. No frills. Did not include Ice or ice bucket. No food.
- Mark (2/5): - Well what was unique about the property with all the chipped paint mold cockroaches and bed bugs what was good about the property was absolutely nothing I just don't know y'all three ex-wives and I'm beat me drumsticks for the rest of my life than to stay one more night there
- Lucinda (2/5): WORSE THAN ANY HORROR MOVIE EVER MADE!!! BEWARE!!! - It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in, in the lobby behind glass doors appeared to be a living quarter, very dirty. After getting a key we went the wrong way around the building, it was condemned in the back- so creepy. The room was so disgusting, greasy dirty spreads, dirty floors, air conditioner only had a fan, 1 of 3 lights worked- it was so bad we had to leave. I was thankful for a full refund although he wanted to charge me for turning the air conditioner and light on. The whole place should be condemned, it was just horrible, worse than any horror movie. It’s in the middle of nowhere to with cars out front that have smashed glass in them, not a safe place to be at all!!
- Loreli (4/5): Not worth even the cheap price - The hotel is in the middle of renovations.
The room was barely non smoking. You could still smell smoke. The tv was ancient, and the faucet leaked.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is a dump and was over priced at $45. Too many issues to list. I left after receiving a partial refund although I was only there the time it took me to unpack and realize how bad it was!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I travel all over and over the years I have never experienced something like this is the worst place you can choose never again
- Alan (10/5): Nice hotel - I had a very good stay at this hotel
- Hersh (4/5): - Not your average hotel. First its unser construction, 2nd their was nobody at the desk; had to call to get checked in. 3rd, some residents that were their were begging and nosey which made me very uncomfortable. Manger did move us to another room and apologized.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Roaches!!! - Roaches! Slept in my car instead as it was 2am when I got there.
- brian (10/5): fla bound - well worth the price. would have liked a ice maker
- Debra (8/5): - Room was clean ..hot shower and overly big bed.....desk clerk was extremely friendly ..only stayed one night, but comfortable
- Stuart (2/5): The apocolypse! - Just horrible. Took almost an hour to find the manager to check in. Then rather than charging the agreed price he tacked on an extra $5 for what he called an unadvertised room service charge. Only a few rooms in this establishment are functional. TV and internet didnt work. No clock in the room. Afraid to take a shower. Felt like Id checked into a left over motel after the apocolypse.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The big issue were the cockroaches running up and down the walls. As soon as i walked in and turned the lights on they were off and running.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The shower had pretty good power but that is it. Everything else was dismal
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing to like except the manager was nice. A literal roach motel! Practically nothing in the room except the bare and poorest quality essentials. The whole building was literally falling down.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No so good - Roaches were spotted on table and night stand , due to gambling machines in hotel open 24 hrs it attracted some undesirable elements in area
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It had wifi.it was close to south of the border.you should not make this 50 character required.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was a crack motel with broken windows and doors that didn't work I didn't even stay
- ELAINE (2/5): - The manager was very distrspectful and rude. The rooms had towels and wash clothes that felt like sand paper. No ice machine. The bedding is all stained up. His staff was walking around Cushing. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
