Important Information

Please note that arrivals after 22:00 can be charged extra and may be refused. Please contact the property directly to inform them about your expected arrival time. Breakfast is served between 8:00-10:00. The bar is open until 23:00. At least two free walking tours start on a daily basis. The tours are in English, French and Spanish. Minors need to be accompanied by an adult. Parking is available at parking garage, P+R The Loop/Expo. Guests can then take tram 1 to the city center. We are in a low-emission zone + pedestrian zone. Parking is available just outside this pedestrian zone on 100 meters from the hostel. We are renovating the roof slates untill july 4th. The works will take place on weekdays from 8:30 to 17:00, and occasionally on Saturdays from 9:30 to 15:00. Work is only being done on the exterior of the building. We have made clear arrangements with the contractor to keep any inconvenience for our guests to a minimum.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Klaus (8/5): Viel Leben in alten Mauern mitten in Gent - Mir hat besonders gefallen: die Lage(!), die gute Organisation, der Aufenthaltsraum und auch das kleine, praktische Frühstücksbüffet. Man übernachtet quasi in der Altstadt und kann - je nach Zimmerlage - einen phantastischen Blick auf die Altstadt werfen. Gefallen hat mir auch die Integration der vielen Zimmer in das sehr alte Gebäude mit einem vergleichsweisen großen, alten Treppenhaus. Das hatte Charme. Bedingt durch die baulichen Möglichkeiten gibt es zum Teile längere Wege treppauf und treppab zu den sanitären Einrichtungen. Aber da ja alle Gäste unterwegs auf den Treppen sind, ist es ein geteiltes Erlebnis.

Lan Huong (9/5): - The location is super, right at the center so you have everything in walking distance. The room even overlooks to the bridge and river. Right at the main door is the locker room so you can easily store your lugguage after/before check in at your own convenience.

The are enough space in a common area to chill and have conversation eith travellers.clea. there is enough shower and totaly clean. One of socket was not working but it can be fixed. They give you the bed sheets but no cover for duvet.

My Finger was pretty swollen. Overpriced for what you get. I understand the location in great but ridiculously overpriced. I Wont stay again.

Thinking about you was the single girl, and all your flatmate have't came back yet, you have to stay with an naked guy in the same room at midnight... very creepy, but it was what was happening to me. This hostel doesn't have a lift, so do remember to ask the staff to put you on a lower floor if you have a big suitcase.

simone (10/5): - Il miglior ostello del mio viaggio in Belgio! Camere numerose ma comunque abbastanza ampie e pulite, così come i bagni, che si trovano all'ultimo piano (quelli con le docce). Discreta colazione e ottima anche la procedura per entrare nella struttura. La posizione è letteralmente imbattibile: l'ostello si affaccia sul ponte di San Michele e sul canale principale di Gand, permettendo di raggiungere tutto a piedi in pochi minuti.

I really like the showers, they were spacious - Overall Im pretty happy with my experience in Hostel Uppelink. For the price I found the rooms to look pretty cheap, the bed was hard, and there where no curtains (which I knew in advanced).
