Guest Reviews
- Kent (6/5): - It took half a hour to check in because the person didn't know how to handle an orbitz reservation, even though I showed him my receipt. He didn't know if he should run my credit card again or not, I said no obviously. But it took so long for him to even figure out what to do it's disappointing. He was very courteous throughout the whole ordeal, but nobody behind the desk should be that incompetent if they're left in charge.
- TISHA DANIELLE (6/5): - The TV remote didn't work and also the TV didn't work either;!
- miarU3805EL (4/5): Not the best service - The pillows look like they belong in the garbage. They didn't taste too good if i'm being honest. The walls said "no black people please" and I felt offended for all of them. how could they. how did this happen, how did I get here. why would this happen to me, where are my children, karen. my life used to be good, until she left me. took all my belonings, my property, the kids. everything, even my fricking car, which she didn't even like. how did i end up here. where did it go wrong. saw some ghosts outside my window, all holding crosses, kind of freaky.
- Solaita (2/5): - I've just checked in about 20 minutes. I wanted to take a bath after a long hot day. I turned on bathroom faucet and out burst the dirtiest brown water. I thought to give it time maybe it will clear up. After a few minutes there was no change. I took out my phone and started recording. I then walked to the office to tell them the problem and the clerk with a defensive attitude said give it time. I recorded the conversation along with recording of this awful bad smells room . How can Expedia associate themselves with this business that just dont care about health standards and worse customer service. I want my full refund plus an apology for this kind of service.
- Rafael (4/5): - The room was smelly musky oder.
- Alan (8/5): - Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Shower was clean and had great water pressure in my room
- Oscar (4/5): - Main gripe was the rude staff. Room looked dirty and unkept. Questionable smell in the room made me gag when first walking in.
- Darla (4/5): - It’s one thing to pay for your entire stay when booked on line but then to have to pay another fee, cash when you arrive on top of that.
Plus they are all rude in that office.
Probably won’t stay again.
- David (10/5): - Close to restaurant
- Dyango (2/5): - Music all loud till 5am that's ridiculously I had to leave the hotel hope to get my money back
- Brittney (2/5): - Check in was at 3 pm and they didnt let us check in tell 5 pm
Staff qas very rude
- Verified traveler (2/5): a total nose dive - and the breakfast absolutely sucks.
- Jerry (6/5): - There’s a homeless in the site walking around.
- Fanaka (10/5): Thank you - It was a wonderful experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Getting ahold of the staff the front office and getting any kind of help with a bad video controller was okay and kind of tough. When it came time for help check out could not absolutely reach anybody in the office under any circumstances and had to leave without any documentation of the visit. Very unsatisfactory.
- Charles (2/5): - I didn’t not book this
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I'm no coming back.
- Christopher (6/5): - The stay was ok a best. The lady didn't believe that I had a reservation. But I had the confirmation email.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is beyond ghetto. It is in a dangerous area and service from staff is non-existent.
- Jonathan (2/5): Won’t book this place again ever - I hardly ever leave reviews but this hotel is horrible, found used condoms wraps and Vaseline on the floor while looking for a plug. I paid for a two bedroom suite and got 1 bedroom and a bed on the entrance which was the “second bedroom” and doors that didn’t close in the one bedroom and bathroom.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quiet not alot of people or traffic. Good television no ashtraud in a smoking room
- Joaquín alberto (2/5): Another disappointing stay, call me. - It was absolutely horrible I had a crackhead lady knock on my door for 3 hours straight when I first heard the knocking I called downstairs and made them aware they did nothing, I checked in pretty late and they couldn't even give me a Wi-Fi password until 1 in the morning then they want to kick me out extra early when I asked him to have some sympathy with me and extend my time so I can extend another day.
- Margarita (2/5): - Someone broke into the room and stole all of my brothers stuff . Front desk would not call the police. Told him to go across the street and use a pay phone
No security footage on the property. That’s what we were told . Very poor place to stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Inside was decent but area was sketchy. Prostitutes screaming. We had no choice but to stay there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Staff was not good at helping out the customer
- Ogredis (10/5): Peaceful - Nice and quiet.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad part of town, old property, some renovations in progress, disgusting carpet, no phone, TV didn't work, owner family zero personality, no lobby, only a customer service window.
- Angelina (2/5): - Terrible room filled with bed bugs & no refund policy. Very unprofessional & very disappointed.
- Stephen (6/5): will give it. a miss - very old fashioned tv room very expensive then you had to pay 20 dollar cash deposit for a remote control even when they have my credit card details
- Thomas (6/5): Clean room nothing fancy - The room was clean so that was nice. But there wad nothing great about it. New hard wood floors were nice and there was also nice moulding but paint was peeling from wall and graffiti was written on the headbord. Not enough electical outlets no phone in room. It also had nice shutters on windows . i thought a bit pricey for what you get.
- hotel lover (2/5): How is this room $91.00 - There were people coming in and out of their rooms all night long.. cigarette burns in the blankets..old TVs with holes in them and just a all around terrible experience they should really either upgrade and update their rooms or do everyone a favor and shut it down
- Mary (4/5): Room great - clientele not so much. - The room was fine - it was clean, basic, and had everything I needed. It seemed recently re-done. Nice paint and nothing worn out. Wasn't the most comfortable bed in the world, but it worked. But the nighttime goings on were scary!! First something huge fell down the cement stairs breaking glass all over, then later there was a fight upstairs-bodies being thrown around with some yelling. Definitely was a scary place.
- lavina (4/5): - It was a terrible night the wifi didnt work. Noisy all night ill never go there again
- Tiffany (2/5): Ho Tell Motel - Only good if you need a bed this is a ho tel motel
- Mark (2/5): Why would hotels.com recommend this property? - We got a room, watched the drug traffic, watched the police making drug busts, were approached and asked to purchase drugs. We left the premises feeling threatened.
- 53ravenp (2/5): Most disgusting hotel I've ever seen - This hotel is horrible do not stay there! There was nails sticking out of the floor bugs on the wall, writing on the walls. Holes in the sheets holes in the walls dirt everywhere it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years! Absolutely no customer service it was just all around bad. You'd be better staying at an abandoned crack house.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Fishing trip - The bed was very good. The room had broken windows dirt and cockroaches
- Ricardo (2/5): Disgusted - This hotel is disgusting. Overpriced for what it has to offer.
- Aric (2/5): Health violations everywhere you look - It was horrible, how are they still open. They should burn that building to the ground. There was seriously a bullet hole in our back bathroom window. Mold and stains everywhere, even on the "fresh" towels that looked like they used to clean out a garbage truck with. Holes in the comforters. Non-smoking room smelled like a smoking lounge. This place is bad, and I know bad. I am a former infantry airborne, air assault soldier, I have slept in some really nasty places in the Middle East, Africa, and even in other places throughout the US, this place is by far one of the worst. I would rather sleep on a pile of bricks in a back alley of southern Baghdad, Dora market area again than stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrific. Please stay away from here. - This room was filthy, it was a terrible area had no amenities. Was very dirty and trashy. No phone. No outlets and it smelled horrific. Dirty beds and all. The owners and staff were very rude and could not understand us. Worst trip ever.
- Jennifer (2/5): Nightmare of a stay - Was horrible. Dirty, poor neighborhood, gunshot holes in windows
- jennlyzzle (2/5): DOUBLE CHARGED!! - remote didn't work , no cable hooked up, charged twice, over priced $92 for a low budget room
- hotel customer (2/5): - 100degree room. Humid, hot, dirty. Lobby was filled with junk. Water from the faucet was brown.
- Laurie (6/5): Never again!! - Woman was rude when we checked in...appears they never open the office door, but all business transacted through window - this tells a lot about the neighborhood! They are obviously trying to improve the hotel with new doors, remodeled bathrooms. Doors have at least one inch gap at bottom. New flooring didn't look like it had been mopped clean, bedside cabinet tops were dirty. TV did not work properly..color tube obviously on its way out. First night we were kept awake by little kids yelling, screaming and playing outside, second night by a rather large lady upstairs who sounded like she was pacing the floor...plus sounds of weapons being shot in the surrounding neighborhood. Our room was not serviced during our stay, thankfully we kept the plastic cups from the night before. Looked like a lot of local Section 8 people were actually living at the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): East bay lodging - Solicitors who are living in the hotel are bugging customers constantly
- Michael (2/5): buyer beware, not good - room was too dirty to stay. holes in the wall and floor. bugs on the wall and floor.
we agreed to pay for 1 night, they agreed to credit the balance.
took about 3 weeks to get the charges off my card, and several calls to both the hotel and bank.
- Verified traveler (2/5): badly need repair - room was in bad shape, live bugs on walls when we entered
- Maggie (2/5): Economy Inn stayed that was horrible - this is the worst. bad, smelly hotel we have ever stayed in. I would prefer staying at Motel 6. First, the room had a mildew odor, dusty, the towels they left for us had stained marks, the door was jammed, we have to slammed it and pushed it really hard to make sure it shut. There were 3 of us and they had 2 stained wash cloths and 2 stained towels. We had to go and purchased our own towels and fabreeze air freshner to be able to sleep in the room. The bathroom was dirty and the floor was sticky. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I feel robbed of my $313 I paid. The Wi-Fi didn't work for all 4 days. The service were not helpful at all and very rude.
- John (10/5): business - business trip made all the easier by the great service at hotel
- osmommy2013 (2/5): Dirty - I had to stay here because my house was being worked on. The room they gave me had writing on every wall and burn holes on all the furniture including the bed. Also my pillows had a couple hairs on it and the lock on the front door didn't work. The worst part was when I was fixing the bed to lay down a mouse ran out from the bottom and when I told the managers about it they wouldn't switch me to another room and I was paying 80 a night. Honestly I don't know why or how this place is still open.
- 395lizg (2/5): So Horrible - This place is very dirty from the ceiling to the carpets. The locks do not work, the air conditioners have never been cleaned, there is mold, had a bullet hole in the bathroom window, no fire alarms, and the front desk is very rude (in person and over the phone). The sheets were dirty and there was graffiti on the bed boards as well as the desk. We could not stand it and went to complain to the front desk, they told us that we had to stay the night and talk to the manager in the morning because they were asleep. When we asked why the place was so dirty they said because we had a dog we had that particular room. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never return here.
- LindaJB2 (4/5): Would Not Consider Staying Here Again - I was unfamiliar with area and was passing through with my adult daughter. I was exhausted from driving all day and needed a room. We checked in at 11:00 pm on Feb. 15, 2014, and was given room 108, bottom floor behind the soda machines. The room had 1 king-size bed, frig, MW, and Dish TV (24”). The price was $60.50/night (Saturday) with tax included.
The room is large and appeared clean when we first walked in. However, we found the following problems with the room, but since it was so late at night, decided to stay:
~ The dead bolt did not work and there was no other manual lock;
~ There was only 1 light on the ceiling and no lamps in the room;
~ There was a phone on the nightstand, but it was dead;
~ There was only a bathmat and 2 washcloths in the bathroom, one of which looked very used. It had makeup and black smears – like mascara. There were no towels.
~ There was a used bar of soap on the shelf in the shower, leading us to believe that housekeeping neglected to clean the bathroom.
~ The bottom of the bathtub was not textured and was very slippery. The ceiling above the tub had been plastered several times and was cracked (apparently from the moisture).
~ There was no blanket on the bed, only a bottom sheet, top sheet, and a thin bedspread. Fortunately, the wall heater worked very well. There were 2 very thin, small pillows and a few burn holes in the comforter. My daughter found 3 long hairs on her pillow, front and back.
In the morning, since the phone didn't work, I had to walk to the office to ask for towels. I also informed the woman behind the counter that the bathroom had not been cleaned because of the lack of towels and the bar of used soap found in the shower. I went back to my room, and when a young woman came to my door, she only handed me one towel. I had to point out there were 2 of us, so she brought another towel. I repeated to her that the phone didn't work and the bathroom had not been cleaned, and she only stated that the manager wasn't there, but she would tell him about it.
About 9:30 a.m., a few doors down, there were 2 men knocking on one of the doors. They were pretty loud, knocking and saying something to the person inside, who did not open the door. They eventually went back to their pick-up, arguing and gesturing with each other, and left. They were wearing bandanas on their heads, baseball caps over the bandanas, baggy clothes - they looked like gangbangers. About an hour later, the woman was standing in her doorway, talking very loudly with someone on her cellphone, swearing and crying. The managers were outside at this point, watching her. The young woman who brought me the towels was sweeping the parking lot and sidewalk, and seemed to be keeping an eye on her, too.
Also, when we checked in the night before, the office door was locked, so I had to use the night window. However, the next morning when I went to get the towels, the office door was still locked and I still had to use the night window. The staff seemed to be decent people, but we felt uneasy with some of the clientele and guests. The housekeeping was terrible and the room needs some maintenance.
