Guest Reviews
- Robin (10/5): - We have stayed here several times as it is close to family, no frills, just a good place to stay. I t is updated and gets better every time. Price is right and staff is great! Cant go wrong....and just off the highway...This place was so much cleaner than other top notch places we have staed at.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Slept fully clothed because the room did not feel clean. Bathroom was dirty and there was an unpleasant odor. The only upside was that the staff were very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and affordable. Staff was super nice. Chairs outside every door if you wanted to sit outside and BBQ grills if you wanted to use them. Will definitely stay there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I felt comfortable and was treated very well by staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient, clean, and very reasonably priced rooms right off the highway.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The price was right but the room needed desmoking and sprucing up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stopped in for a nights rest easy to find clean and friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was right next to a convenience store, but the traffic was noisy
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Cockroaches. Place needs an exterminator ASAP. Would not stay again.
- Floyd (8/5): - Had everything I needed for over night stay. My room even had micro and fridge, which I didn't need but was nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I booked a king bed and got one double bed! With no blanket! Cold, so I turned up the heat and that made the room so dry. Tv had problems muting on its own.
- Tom (6/5): - Price. Price & Price. It was CHEAP! We knew that therefore we did not put any overinflated expectations on the property.
We were disappointed when we found a FULL Bes in-lieu of a Queen as advertised. We called the desk and he said.. ugh “yeah they all say that”. Although he did offer to refund my money if I wanted to go somewhere else. So I called the place right down the road and it was literally $130 MORE before taxes etc. So we stayed. We were just sleeping and the mattress was firm and fairly comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little place to stay for the money. Driving from New Jersey to Colorado and needed a place to crash for the night and we were pleasantly surprised! Super clean, the man at the front desk was super polite and courteous even though we didn’t get there until about 2:30 am, showers worked great, perfect place to stop. Will definitely stay again next time we pass through
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, quiet, clean, great stay for the money. Little out dated, but no complaints
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel was in a small town, it was located near the highway. It is dated, the furnishings look like old, previously used items, mismatched snd a little shabby. Our bathroom had a large hole in the wall behind the toilet and a poorly done patch job on either side of the toilet. The toilet leaked, so anytime you flushed, water went all over the floor. Obviously explains the hole and patch work. There wasn't any Kleenex, nor was there a pot for the coffee maker, not necessarily deal breakers, but strange as there were the little packets of coffee available. This place served its purpose since it was just a place to sleep. The cost was just under 70 dollars for a Saturday night which I find pretty excessive for such a shabby and outdated place.
- TomSWFL (8/5): - Great Location (just off I-65). Very reasonable accommodations. Check in staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Only recommendation is to ask for a room in the back away from the road. It’s a highway (at 1 am when I pulled in, there wasn’t a noise in sight but at 6 am the road comes alive with semi’s, large trucks and cars). If your room is in front, wear earplugs.
- Andrew (2/5): Out of date - Hotel needs extensive updates
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bed was extra firm - The front desk employee was friendly and talkative. The room was clean. The bed was extremely firm and difficult to get a full night sleep on.
- MB (4/5): - It was a cheap room, and I see why ... knowing what I know now I wouldn't stay there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Outdated but clean - The rooms are outdated but they're clean and you get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was unclean and smelled of stale smoke. There were dirty ashtrays sitting just outside of every room. The bed skirt had some sort of liquid stained/crusted on it in several different places.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Stayed 2 night, housekeeping did not make bed or empty trash, or clean anything, just replaced towels and took old ones.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Better than you'd expect for forty bucks. - The good: Room was clean, bed was exceptionally comfortable, HVAC worked well. Perfect for when you just need a place to sleep.
The bad: Older property, and it shows. Fresh paint, but drywall was badly beaten and patched. Facility is smoke free, but you can detect a faint tobacco smell.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - From the outside this place was a dump. Once i got inside everything was clean even nice. The guy that worked there seemed like he'd already died and no one had told him, but he was really friendly and attentive to my needs.
- roy (2/5): Dirty and run-down - Dirty, run-down place. Stayed there because of price, $52 including taxes. My wife & I agreed, better to spend a little extra for a clean, decent room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I have stayed here before and so far has been good for me for the money ,the gentleman at the front desk is always nice and respectful ,it is an affordable hotel ,room was clean they updated all the tvs trough out the whole hotel and it is close to the highway and like Arnold said : I'll be back, Lol !!!.
- Sandy (6/5): - We were just passing through and only needed a place to sleep. The bedroom was fine - it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was awful. The door had holes in it and the tub and tub surround was stained, cracked, and had big holes that had been repaired with putty.
- Jon (10/5): - Right off the freeway this is a great night stop. The price is fantastic for what you get: the room is comfortable, however the bed could use a little improvement, yet not bad.
- Destinee (10/5): Loved this hotel - Went to go visit some family Joel was amazing!! Right off the highway. The room could've been a little cleaner. Was decently priced. Book online as they do fill all the rooms on weekends. Would stay again easily!
- Mable (10/5): Good - It was good and quit so i can sleep. It a good place to stay there
- Jeff (6/5): Cheap but decent motel - It's a no frills hotel but it was clean and quiet so it was fine. Very cheap $51.00
- Teri (10/5): - Really pleased with this little motel. Nothing fancy but very clean. Employees super friendly and helpful. Would stay again it I was in the area
- Jack (8/5): Not the Hyatt, but good for the night. - Inexpensive and good stop over on way to Chicago. Bed is older, but suitable. Wi-fi and TV all good. Family café next door and plenty of fast food nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Gotta love it for the price - Nice for the price
Just wish the towels were better, very thin and scratchy
- steven (10/5): Chameleon - This place doesn't look like much but it will fool you. Staff friendly rooms are large and comfy. Also restaurant directly across. 5 stars
- Verified traveler (4/5): 30% tax rate - Not bad for $40, but you really end up paying closer to $60 after the $13 taxes they charge.
Taxes on $40 should be about $5
Also, don’t expect any extras in the room, not even a telephone in room.
- trish (8/5): Last minute availability - Was comfortable- bathroom not ideal cleanliness but wasn’t disgusting. Heater was great as it was snowing and freezing!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A good value hotel. Convenient location off interstate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Older hotel with minimal amenities. Room was large with a full-size refrigerator. They didn’t clean it during our 2-dat stay. Towels were threadbare. Only thing going for it is the price and easy access from the interstate.
- Briana (4/5): Cigarette central - Was a non smoking room and reeked like cigarettes!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bare bones economy stay. A good option for those just looking for a bed for the night.
- Rodney (8/5): Great - I was very pleased with my stay there!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): A Good Budget Value - This is a budget hotel and it acts like it. A good value.
- BRENDA (2/5): Stay away! - This place is awful! Unfortunately, it is in the middle of nowhere, and there are not may choices in that area. I would not recommend this to ANYONE- no matter your budget! First, they said it was a queen bed, but it was not! My husband and I could barely lay on it together. There was no blanket on the bed, only a sheet and a very old and dingy bed spread. The knobs on the heater were broken off, so we couldn't turn on the heater. Although it is posted "No Smoking in the Rooms", the room reeked of smoke! I didn't want to put anything on the floor/rug as it was so disgusting looking.(including my feet-we walked around the room in our shoes). We had booked the room for two nights, but after the first night, we got up and checked out. We drove all the way back to Chicago to stay in a decent hotel the next night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Older hotel for budget minded traveler - Older hotel some updates room was clean with fridge and microwave and bed was very comfy - not bad if on a budget! Restaurants close by- not in best area though
- Verified traveler (6/5): Get what you pay for - First impression not too bad for the price, room was nice sized and full fridge would be nice for someone staying longer. Light above sink didn't work so we moved a lamp over by it. Found left over hair in shower and on shower wall, and not hair from you head, that really grossed me out.
- GRK_Astronomer (6/5): For the price ... - Given that the price of a room with a queen-size bed was only $40.00 / nite plus taxes, and the fact that the room had a full size fridge which my $136 / nite Fairfield Inn and Suotes does not the ultimate opinion is that you get what you pay for and sometimes you do not get you pay for.
Economy Inn is definitely not for those accustom to stately inns. I have never stayed in a hotel that actually had a fly shatter in the room; but, there is a reason for it. The rooms are infested with lady bugs that make themselves at home in your room for the winter and are a nuisance.
The newly remodeled sign should really say, we did a sloppy renovations job; but hey, there is paint on the walls and the water damage next to the showers isn't really that bad when you consider how much you shelled out to stay here.
- Cap (8/5): Comfort - If you need a place just to sleep and move on, this is the one. Nothing fancy, but all I wanted to do was sleep shower and go
- Jeff (6/5): - the hotel is what it is, a place to crash after a long day hunting willow slough. Expedia on the other hand is not what it once was they screwed up my reservation and tried to overcharge me by about 17 bucks a night.
- Lisa (8/5): - A very nice & comfortable stay for the value. The building has age, however the room was clean and generally in good condition. While our stay was short, a refrigerator, microwave, and a hair dryer was available. The personnel was kind, respectful, and very prompt & attentive to an issue we had. We would not hesitate to stay again if our travels leads us through the area in the future.
