- mathilde (8/5): - Exactly what we needed - an hotel, clean, not too expensive, with enough space for our family (family room was 2 room with a shared bathroom) and a very welcoming staff ! There is nothing I didn't like really. The decoration is a bit old fashioned but I was expecting this so no surprise. Same for the location, it's by the road but it's a motel so clearly expected as well.

It is very clean with a comfortable bed and outfitted with a table and a chair (with outside chairs that can be moved in and out when an extra seat is required), a microwave, a coffee maker and a small fridge. It looks like it has been recently refurbished. The water is plentiful and very hot. The shower is good. Plus it is very reasonably priced. There is a large grocery store right next door. Nothing that the hotel management can do about it but there is quite a lot of traffic on the road outside. This is not bothersome if you keep the windows closed.

TV too low to watch while in bed. Internet (WIFI) was spotty. And when getting ice, there was no scoop (not sanitary) if people take with their hands.

The motel could stand some substantial modernisation. There were two doors to enter our room, one at the front and one at the back. We locked both during our stay. At night, the front door blew open by itself twice - despite being locked. Not good at all.

For some reason hotels in Manitoulin Island are very expensive! 150$ for a Small Motel room with one bed off the highway?!!! This hotel was fine. Cheapest out there.

- Robert (8/5): - This is advertised as a cottage but is actually two rooms in a motel joined together with a shared bathroom. Clean and comfortable. A little expensive for off season but we needed to be on chi-cheemaun early next morning. Close to fuel and a great restaurant- Elliott's.

- Brian (8/5): - I liked the proximty to the boardwalk along the North Channel. It was peaceful. The motel was close to grocery store, and other shops. The area was quiet and ideal for relaxing after a long day of travel. All in all, I would stay here again if passing this way.

- Brett A (9/5): Great stay...keeping this pinned for future trips to Manitoulin Island. - I had the family up on Manitoulin Island for a few days before school started. At check-in, we were greeted with a smile from the front desk. He was very helpful and provided some ideas on things do to see and do around the island. The room was plenty big for the 4 of us. It had all we needed from coffee maker, mini fridge, and a table so I could sneak in some work. Nothing negative to say about this motel. Keep in mind it is a MOTEL so you're not getting a pool and continental breakfast. I did find it a little pricey but that's par for the course on Manitoulin during the summer!
