Guest Reviews
- Anna (7/5): Our Stay near the Beach - Cute little room overall. TV, fridge and microwave included. No cook top.
- James (7/5): -
- Melanie (9/5): Great 2 day trip. Would come again. - Dog friendly. Walking distance to the beach and town. kitchen could use more light.
- Callie (10/5): Always enjoy Longbeach, and love staying at Our Place. - It’s not beach front, but it’s only 2 blocks to the beach’s. We loved the 2 bedroom suite with porch and grassy areas for our puppers. The couch is a little worn, and the pull out mattress needs an upgrade.
- Kristina (10/5): -
- Ou (9/5): -
- Vaughan (7/5): - We loved how big the room was and the bathroom is spectacular as well as having a kitchenette was wonderful. However, the bed was painful to sleep on and the couch was painful to sit on. There was no space to rest comfortably. That's even after we brought our own pillow topper They're in dire need of new bed and couch. Something that you can sit on comfortably and rest
- corrina (7/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): Very good hotel, coming back in a few weeks because I love it thrre - We usually try to stay at this location because the room is nice and we like that it has the backyard for the rooms we usually pick The only thing we don’t like is in the room furthest from the front door, even when we have the heater turned on the lowest setting the room gets too warm if you have the door shut, so I had to sleep with the window open
- Oceana (9/5): A fine evening with plenty of amenities for comfort and convenience. - Excellent quiet location with star viewing, and deer running around behind the deck. Close to everything but not busy.great Beach novelty decor. Cable TV, couldn't access NETFLIX or prime. Fine for our party. In room coffee was bland, could use liquid creamers. The neighbors light came on several times while we were enjoying the stars, motion activated?
- Trinity (4/5): Cold and uncomfortable - Location and the room was clean The heater did not working and when we called the front desk no one answered at 6pm
- Natalia (10/5): The property was peaceful and quiet, the units were clean and well maintained, and the location was around 5 minutes awa - The property was peaceful and quiet, the units were clean and well maintained, and the location was around 5 minutes away from several beach access points! We had a lovely time during our stay, and we felt safe and taken care of, we will most definitely come back in the future for more exciting adventures! :)
- Leslie (1/5): We didn’t stay - Sketchy location
- Jennifer (9/5): Cute clean cozy room! - Great cozy room with little kitchen. Was very clean and comfy. Close to beach and main business district with restaurants and shops. The only reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 was because there was no mat entering the room to wipe shoes on, so the floor got really dirty and sandy quick. Also it would be great to have some dog towels already in the room and to not have to ask for them.
- Angela (10/5): I enjoy staying here as it is quiet and close to everything - It was quiet just peaceful She have a standard coffee maker
- kassandra (4/5): -
- Kerr (10/5): -
- angela (10/5): -
- Tamra Thompson (10/5): Very private highly recommend - Loved that they had a private fenced area for our dog's and it was like your very own apartment that was fully stocked with everything you may need. We had deer visitors! Momma and baby so cute. Finding it was a bit tricky and going to a separate location to check in was different but that really wasn't a problem 😅
- Leland (7/5): - Location It was not that clean, and I had to move furniture to plug things in
- Ashlee (10/5): -
- Michele (3/5): -
- Shawn (7/5): - It was nice to stay here again, always well priced, private, quiet and clean. I thought it was quite inconvenient to go to a different motel to obtain door code. Then after you settled in and wanted ice, well you had to go back to the other motel to get it. WOW not very organized. Doesn't Vrbo give the door code in an email?
- Rickie (8/5): - Quiet peaceful surroundings. Proximity to town. Dated furnishings, double bed
- Lisa (3/5): Not secure. - Though not secure, it was cute & clean. I sent them this:
Our Place at The BeachUnit 111 16Aug2025
To whom it concerns,
I was planning to spend the night at "Our Place at the Beach." Check-in at the Inn at the Arch was without event.
On arrival at Unit 111, I noted multiple people, drinking in the lot by their trucks, starting with the truck closest, next to mine. It was a little uncomfortable how everyone just stopped and stared while I loaded in.
I was in town working for one of the bands at the Festival, I was only going to be there a few minutes to load my things into the room, and head to the venue.
As a 40-year flight crew member, I've stayed a million places by myself and I'm always very careful about security. (Plus, my dad was a PI!) I checked all windows. Except the one in the bathroom and the high one in the back BR All of the windows were not locked. They weren't open as if it was being aired out, either. They appeared closed but they were not locked and they slid right open. The 2x4 chunk that was in the track of the sliding patio door also wasn't long enough to block
that door from being opened several inches, which is all it takes to reach in and lift a slider out.
While it does have a coded lock, the entry door is very flimsy and seemed more like a interior door! Without any extra security latches on the inside of that door, there was just no way I was going feel safe, or, able to sleep there.
Once the band was done I headed back to the room, gathered my belongings, made sure everything was tidy. Other than putting TV on when I went out, and each sink, the place was unused by me. I don't expect you'll offer me a full refund, but I am asking for a 50% adjustment, at a minimum.
I left a note, written on the envelope provided in the room, with date & time, explaining why I wasn't staying there for the night. I am quite surprised that no one reached out to me, yet. I left about 23:20 on the same day I arrived. 8/16/2025 .
- KD Karin (7/5): Great short notice stay - It was a nice size with 2 bedrooms and the view in the back was great. The heater in the back bedroom would not sit down I had to contact maintenance
- Elizaveta (8/5): - Nice and spacious, very close to the beach, and had everything we needed. We came at the check in time (3pm) but the room wasn’t ready, so we had to rearrange our plans. Also, definitely an older building with the bathroom door taking a bit to close. Didn’t bother us though.
- Christel (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Well needed - Clean recently remodeled great shower (rm109) Air Conditioner
- Tim (8/5): Great location, decent value - Good location, nice kitchen Shower didn't drain well ; toilet backed up
- Stacey (9/5): - The space was great. Being able to cook in and rest with a backyard and the family of deer were definitely a bonus. It was cozy Everything was great
- Cindy (5/5): Enjoyable stay, clean room, super friendly staff. - Lots of towels and hospitality shampoos and things. Bed was too firm.
- Moffitt (9/5): Great place for a small family. - The location was quiet and within easy walking distance to both the beach and down town Ling Beach. The lighting in the living area and the kitchen could be better.
- Mya (9/5): -
- Shannon (10/5): -
- Sheryl (9/5): -
- cox (1/5): i don't know didn't even check in stayed at best westernl. - nothing. very small, smelled bad old sea water. nothing there. everthing, could not get pictures or phone number, that should have been red flag for me. didn't get to see anthing of place before i got there. anthing you would want like ice or blanket you would have to drive a mile to office for anything never heard of that.
- Whitlock (4/5): Nothing like the photos - The inside was very clean and updated, it was nothing like the photos. The bed was hard and I didn't get much sleep because of it. Multiple outlets didn't work, the main door had gaps in it and had a hard time locking. It didn't have a hot tub.
- Moffitt (8/5): A great place for a restful night! - This property is within walking distance to downtown Long Beach and to the beach. It's clean and comfortable and was perfect for a quick trip to the beach with my daughter. Having two separate bedrooms was a big plus for us. Lighting is not the best.
- rebecca (7/5): -
- Russmc (9/5): -
- Sir (9/5): Pleasant, relaxing, and enjoyable - Quiet, comfortable, and decent distance to the beach. Just wish I had better water pressure in the shower
- Justin (8/5): A quiet place, very clean, and a great value. - I appreciated how quiet it was. There’s also a great view from one of the windows into the little Forest. Far from a walk on the beach.
- Mclean (8/5): Just right - Cheap and close to town. Just a block or two from the beach entrance The parent company is down the street , you have to go there first to check in. Kinda silly but whatever. Big open room wasn’t bad , but would be nice if you could see the tv from the bed.

- Bond (8/5): -
- Tina (8/5): - Was clean, freshly renovated No staff on site
- Shannon (9/5): -
- Angel (1/5): - Location The house was run down since our last stay and the mold smell was so bad we had to check out
- Nathen (10/5): Great place for a 10 year anniversary get away! - We loved the quiet area and the comfortable atmosphere!
- Lauretta (8/5): - quite end of town and roomy musty smell, no paper towels to dry dishes or clean up and the curtains are worn.
- Sabrina (2/5): There was trash in the bedrooms left from the previous people who stayed or the cleaners not sure - The only thing good was the space for my family The property had zero amenities not even paper towels 2 drops of dish soap and a dirty sponge usually when you rent a unit with a kitchenette there is a few supplies they had zero
- Jodie (8/5): -
- Brett (10/5): We had a good time. The room added to the experience - Plenty of space. Clean.
- Burgett (9/5): -
- Kimberly (3/5): No high expectations - We called and asked if the kitchen well stocked and we were e told plenty of pots and pans and cookware. Nope. The curtains were severely wrinkled and had holes in them. The stopper using tub did not work. The microwave handle fell off. Then the microwave did not work. Were told they would fix it immediately. Nope.
- Tara (7/5): We were comfortable and the location was convenient. - The bed was comfortable and the location was great for walking down to the boardwalk and beach. The heating unit wasn’t working but they provided a space heater upon request. We asked for a cookie sheet for the kitchen and they brought one to our door. The staff was very helpful. The heat needed to be fixed.
- Kristi (7/5): Overall, it was a good stay a little cold, but I turned on the oven and opened the door that warmed it right up convenie - It was clean and spacious and conveniently located The heat didn’t work so it was a little cold. The stove top burner was broken.
- Christel (10/5): -
- Deon (5/5): Not fantastic, but comfortable and adequate - No place to hang clothing
Toilet space was so narrow a fat person would not be able to use the toilet
Bed was great
Bring your own drinking water as their's is a little off tasting a place to hang clothes
needs a little more lighting
- Timothy (10/5): -
- Steve (9/5): -
- Rubi (3/5): Didn’t get what I paid for !! - Had the areas to ourselves Was not the family suite I paid for. I paid for a bigger family suite and got a small studio! Definitely not worth the amount I spent :(
- Christel (10/5): -
- Davey (4/5): -
- Vitalii Hnatkiv (10/5): -
- Khonesavanh (8/5): -
- Shawna (8/5): -
- Christine & Daniel (6/5): We were somewhat disappointed with this accommodation. - The place was very clean. The bed was really comfortable. The location was close to town so that was convenient. It was quiet. We were cold. Regulating the temperature was a challenge. It was a big space with an electric baseboard heater in the bathroom and two small vents in the one large room that had the kitchen and bed, couch and television.
- Vivian (10/5): We will definitely stay there again. - Close to every thing The bathtub is slippery and needs a rubber mat. We like the shower head very much.
- Mr. O (10/5): Excellence in disguise - Location
Price
Accomodations
Cleanliness
Comfortable beds
Distance to the beach -No A/C in the summer
-Bathroom layout is tight for taller or wider people
- Cassandra (10/5): -
- Craig (10/5): Simply wonderful - The place was what I wish I could live in all the time. Sadly, I am not allowed to live there for months..... A warm companion, and not with 4 legs.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Christina (10/5): Great place to stay. Will definitely be back - It was spacious, clean and quiet. Excellent communication with very friendly staff.
- Frank (8/5): -
- Kari Vadixx (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Had lots of fun and great accomadations and had a good visit to Longbeach. - So very clean and neat. Had everything we needed.Bed was great! nothing
- Kamila (8/5): - Cute little cottage , clean what is extremely important for me All was nice, no complaints at all
- Madorin (3/5): This is overpriced for what you get - When we open the door to place stunk like mold and must paint coming off the bathroom walls hot water takes about 15 minutes to start coming to take a shower bedroom heater wouldn't shut off
- Timothy (8/5): - No ice machine.
- Mark (5/5): -
- Davey (10/5): - Beautiful place to relax
- Jaden (7/5): -
- elizabethsN8435BX (10/5): Perfect little getaway spot - This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway with everything we needed! I would recommend this place and will stay again! It had all the ameneties you could want while away from home. The only draw back is there is no hotel staff onsite if you have any issues or needs but it wasn't a problem for us.
- Roger Horton (8/5): - Clean Everything was as expected
- Sharon (10/5): I will definitely come back. - More seating in the living room area, perhaps another couch; and throw pillows. The dining round instead of rectangular to fit the space better.
- Thomas (9/5): Amazing time with family - The location was wonderful. Quiet and private with woods behind the big back yard.
- Marlo (10/5): -
- Nikki (10/5): Absolutely wonderful perfect room just what we needed. Would definitely go back. - This was the perfect room, just what we needed. Clean and well stocked. Perfect patio to relax and enjoy our treats. Very quiet and felt very safe. Our six year old need much needed breaks after the very close walk to beach and coming back to our little home was so convenient……. It was perfect for our needs .
- Corey (9/5): -
- Nicole (4/5): - The room was clean. The kitchenette was well equipped and stocked. Large bathroom with plenty of towels. Distance from shops and beach entrance was great. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. Full disclosure, the room we were given was not the room we had booked. We weren't notified of any changes prior, which greatly affects my review. We discovered the discrepancy in the booking description, which was to have 2 beds and 1 pull out couch, upon arrival. We were sent to a room with only 1 bed and 1 pull out couch. The listing also mentioned a patio, but there was no patio. Upon calling the office, which is not on site, we were told a window in our originally booked room had been busted out, and they switched us with no communication.
The layout of the room was a bit odd, though I'm not sure of a suggestion to improve. There is no view. The bathroom door was very loud, which isn't ideal for nighttime trips. Having to check in across town was a small inconvenience. Not having an office on site does seem as though it could become problematic.
We were offered a partial refund for the lack of communication in changing our reservation. Overall, had we been given the room we'd originally booked, the cost seemed fair for location and season.
- Alexandra (8/5): Great! - This was a good little place for my husband and kids. We are used to camping so in comparison this place was great LOL. It could use a little more art work to feel more inviting but otherwise everything was great. So grateful for the kitchen! Pull out bed was terrible. You could feel every single spring in that mattress.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Quick and cozy. - Within walking distance to beach access, shopping and restaurants. Appreciate its pet friendly Nothing, only recommendations like towel/coat hooks by from door. Would have booked for 2 nights but there wasn’t availability! Got woken up from the motorcycle driver staying next door who revved their engine at 7am. Wish parking wasn’t so close the door!
- Debbie (7/5): It was a value for what we spent. Great community and visitors alike. - Checking in at the hotel was great, it was a quiet space and very clean I’ve never been in a smaller bathroom, and the room itself was smaller than the posted pictures. But it had all the things we needed ~ fridge, tv, microwave so it worked
- Robert (5/5): Meh - No breakfast ,no access to beach ,outlet in bathroom was way too high to use ,towel rack fell into pieces when removing towel ,lots of cobwebs and spiders ,bed was very nice
