Guest Reviews
- William (2/5): Worst hotel stay ever!! - Never got to go even after we reserved it. Said computer didnt update itself leaving us to stay in an apartment that was so hot we could barely breathe. Horrible experience. Couldnt access the tv in living room. Remote didnt work. Bathtub was completely filthy...never again and feel i should at least get a partial refund if not a full one. Sorry but thats how we feel about this experience.
- Virginia (10/5): beautiful property - Beautiful! Everything was local. Doorman was wonderful
- Joe (10/5): Will Stay Again - Amazing!
- Abiola (10/5): philly - loved it. will stay again.
- Natalie (10/5): - Beautiful property in the heart of center city. Process was seamless. Will definitely stay again.
- Susan (2/5): - Misleading price; listed at $120, but $143 was added after for “taxes and fees”. Add appeared to be an apartment hotel, but we were sent to a well-worn apartment in a filthy building. We couldn’t even find it because there were no exterior lights over the door. We could only communicate with someone with FaceTime. He was rude. The fire door didn’t open and he acted as if it were our fault. He said it was in one of the nicest areas of Philadelphia, but it was mainly grubby bars with people vomiting outside. Finally after about 10 phone calls, he moved us to another at that was ok. The housekeeper came banging on the door at 11 am the next day and told us to get out.
- Gary M (10/5): Great place to stay in Philly - It was a great apartment. Enjoyed the stay tremendously. Service was excellent.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I wasn’t able to see the property because Expedia booked a room for me that was a luxury apartment, not a hotel. There was no one there that was able to get me in to an apartment, the property manager wasn’t available since it was after midnight and this was not a hotel. I was stranded in downtown Philadelphia with nowhere to stay. Luckily I was able to find a room in another town, pay a $50 cab fee and finally settle in at 3am. I will be contacting Expedia for a refund.
- Larry (8/5): Unit in Residential Bldg, Not a Hotel, But Nice - This unit is in a nice residential building, great roof deck and high-end building overall.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Missed the mark - Didn't stay at this unit, was changed on us last min to another unit the day of. The replacement unit didn't have a spacious kitchen like the original, and there was not the full range of amenities as listed. Lack of soaps, filters, towels so we couldn't use coffee machine or dish washer. The plates, glasses, and silverware were all dirty. The property contact didn't add our names to the gym for use that was a few blocks away until a day later. The property contact also walked in the apartment without knocking while one of us was on a work call. Overall it was a bad experience and I won't be using Renaissance Properties again, nor would I recommend it.
- Joseph (2/5): Renaissance Propertie bait and switch - Renaissance Properties did a bait and switch on me. The night before my stay they texted me to says that they are switch me to a different apt complex blocks away. It was a much older building.
- IRENE (10/5): Great downtown option - Although the unit I booked had a broken pipe, the manager found us a nearby place. It was not as nice as what we booked, but when I complained, he found us another very nice unit and offered us a voucher for future use. The final unit was quite comfortable and nicely located in a very walkable location not too far from the Independence Hall tourist area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great room at great property - This room was great for traveling with a family. Very convenient.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid - Arguing plumbing problems, they moved my reservation to another location farther away in a dark alley, not a hotel but just a random apartment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay ! - Had a meeting scheduled in center city and we booked 7 properties with Renaissance, They were centrally located, responsive, and all the amenities were great especially the sporting club at the bellevue hotel which is awesome! Thanks for a great stay, will definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (2/5): STSY AWAY - HORRENDOUS

MOST PROBLEMS UNRESOLVED OR WORSE
- Naz (2/5): very bad experience - Bad experience
From the minuted i buy the ticket until left the Apartment was all bad EXPERIENCE.
1 - to find the apartment no one was answering there phone and we couldn't get a hold of anyone with there contact information.
2 - walk in the room, it was freezing and it took about 4 hours to make it warm enough to handle.
3 - the bathroom door was locked and no key, we miss with it for some times and finally opened and we never locked it again, because we were scared it won't open again. also the bedroom handle was broken.
4 - the chair was felty and had dirty marks all over.
5 - the wall were dirty and marks of food on the way and dishes were very dirty.
6 - we were told that they had parking signed to the Apartment, there was not one to ask and contact number was not answering.
7 - the roof was leaking,
8 - there was boxes of tea bags but nothing was in them.
9 - there was four internet cods but none worked until 20 pm.
10 - the carpet was full of dirty marks.
yes, we called all the numbers and sent emails, but the emails were all failed and phone didn't answered.
we spoke with the security guards which were in the first floor, and they tried to get a hold of someone for us, but no luck and one answered. and once when we called the other end said it is wrong number. we called the number was given to us buy email and was hanging on the refrigerator.
- Daniel (8/5): Great views - This property is worth the price in the view alone--the floor to ceiling windows overlook Market Street. This is an apartment building that you can book so there is no traditional check in, only a security desk. Wi-fi info was supposed to be given but I had to search on the router for the password. You will need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner as there is only bar soap provided. Also, the bed is advertised as Queen but was really a Full.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best place to stay in Philadelphia. - Easy check-in process. The place is clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable dressed with quality linens and pillows. I look forward to staying here again and definitely recommend it to anyone whether it is for a short stay or an extended stay.
- Bus. Traveler (4/5): Not Recommended for Business Travelers - This is an apartment converted to a hotel room. I was in Philadelphia for a business meeting at a nearby law firm and my assistant booked this room due to its proximity to the meeting location. There were multiple issues with this property, which link back in part to it being an apartment. First, there was $165 in fees and taxes charged on this room, making the total charge significantly exceed the cost of nearby hotels when it had previously appeared to be a cheaper option. There are also no common business-friendly accommodations like printing services. I had an important document to print and asked the front desk attendant if she had recommendations for where I could go to handle it. Her response was that she never gets that question and had no idea. She did not attempt to find a solution. There was a Fed Ex Print Center less than a block away that I was able to locate on my own, but the service was less helpful than I would normally expect at a hotel. The room also lacked common items like any hand or body soap. There was a half-used large bottle of shampoo in the shower, but that was it. I did find an empty handsoap bottle at the back of a bathroom cabinet. On the positive side, the room had a very nice view of the city. I suspect the room could work for some entertainment purposes, but it lacks the elements that business travelers commonly expect. Also, bring your own bar soap unless you want a surprise the next morning.
