• Alan (8/5): - Buen lugar por su calidad-precio. Tiene la estación prácticamente al lado y es fácil encontrar aparcamiento en las cercanías. Buen trato. Pasan aviones y trenes, pero durante gran parte de la noche no hay ruido.

• Kevin (5/5): Cheap but not necessarily cheerful. Maybe good for a traveller on a very low budget - The location was good and the man who greeted me seemed friendly enough. It was not too far away from a big shopping area and mall. Not necessarily easy to see where the entrance was and only marked by a Doorbell which I missed on first passing, the toilet was shared and in the same room was a small shower and sink, these were not in a separate room. I know it was budget friendly place, but I don't think I would stay there again.

• Cox (1/5): Awful - There were no instructions re booking in so I arrived as I had said between 8 and 9 pm. I rang the bell and after pushing the door a few times it opened. I went up in the lift to find it very dark when I got out but I could seen the Pension door so I knocked and continued to knock increasingly loudly until someone answered. This turned out to be by other guests. We had no language in common but eventually they found one of the four rooms was empty. Shortly after this the proprietor arrived and shouted very angrily at me in Spanish . He then used google translate and said I had broken in to his property! Eventually he booked me in but the whole experience was very unpleasant. In retrospect I can only assume I was supposed to ring him on arrival but I had had no messages to this effect either from him or booking.com The booking.cominformation said that the property offered luggage storage but after this experience I did not dare leave my luggage there which caused me a lot of inconvenience. Proper indeed any communication on how to book in.

• Claude Dardaud (7/5): - Petite chambre qui donnait sur la rue . Lit confortable. Télé avec des chaines françaises. Pour le bruit de la rue , j'ai fait le nécessaire pour bien dormir. Pour une nuit, ça m'a suffit. Le bruit de la rue mais avec des boules kies , j'ai quand même bien dormi. La salle d'eau partagée mais c'était spécifié dans la description de la chambre .

• Sarah (6/5): Clean, but aging, noisy, and 4 rented room share 1 washroom. - Despite some drawbacks, only 1 block off Camino route. Very comfortable bed. Hostel-like approach, which I didn’t understand. Four separate rented rooms, all opening onto small area inside the door to Pension suite. One small washroom for all. And if your room windows open onto busy street below (Room 1 for example), it’s noisy late at night with vehicles and voices, and in early morning with garbage collection trucks, deliveries etc. No soundproofing whatsoever, between rooms. Also, a musty wardrobe (armoire ) I would not put my clothing in, even overnight. That said, I made it work and don’t have regrets. You just have to understand in advance.

• Miriam (10/5): Hostal Gema en Irún - El hostal es normalito y el precio para la calidad genial. Pude dormir tranquilamente. El recepcionista ha sido muy amable. Queda cerquita la estación de Irun-Colon donde está el Euskotren que conecta Irún o Hendaia. Hay un Eroski también cerca. La estación de ADIF también queda cerca y si vas en autobús donde dejan a los pasajeros y recogen la compañía de ALSA está casi al lado también . Es un sitio relajante . Me gustó todo. Está bien por el precio.
• Crrris73 (7/5): - No tienen problema con llegar a últimas horas de la tarde, a diferencia de otros sitios, y aunque las instalaciones son humildes (se corresponden a las de una pensión), tanto las toallas como las sábanas olían muy bien a limpio, la habitación era suficientemente espaciosa y tenía radiador eléctrico. El baño también era correcto y había gel y champú. Un baño para 4 habitaciones de la planta se queda un poco corto, y es cierto que es un poco caro para lo que es, pero sigue siendo un precio competitivo para los estándares de Irún.

• Ben (5/5): Ondanks dat het niet veel kosten vond ik het erbarmelijk - Ik had gisteren onverwacht mij ingeschreven in een andere locatie omdat ik moe was en niet de fut had om naar boven te lopen naar de locatie die gereserveerd had en betaald was. Die locatie was goedkoper dan pension Gema, maar 10 keer beter schoner vriendelijke ontvangst De man die de deur aan de straat open deed, hij hield met één hand de deur vast en sloeg met de andere hand heel hard op de deur dus ik denk wat is hier aan de hand. Ik zeg, are you angry now daar reageer je totaal niet op. Vond het heel raar? Waarschijnlijk was hij kwaad omdat ik twee keer de aankomsttijd moest veranderen. Dat kwam door de vlucht die vertraagd Toen we aan boord gingen kreeg het vliegtuig een tijdslot dus het was totaal onbekend hoe laat het vliegtuig weg kon gaan
