• Virginie (9/5): - - l'accueil de Karine et Jérôme et les moments de partage 😜 - le petit repas proposé à notre arrivée a été très appréciable - la maison est magnifique avec un joli jardin et une très belle vue - tous les conseils et bons plans. Karine n'hésite pas à appeler pour réserver auprès de ses contacts ce qui nous a beaucoup aidé - le petit déj au bord de la piscine - la situation qui permet de faire pas mal de choses aux alentours - pour ma part, gros coup de 💜 pour Karine avec qui j'ai ressenti beaucoup d'affinités Rien tout était parfait à notre goût.

C'est une maison de charme, authentique, qui se démarque des constructions modernes cubiques qui fleurissent à Maurice.La vue est extraordinaire, avec des couchers de soleil magnifiques. Karine et Jerome connaissent très bien l'ile et sont d'excellent conseil pour les activités . Ils se mettent en quatre pour que tout soit parfait. On est reçu chez des amis. • Norbert (8/5): - Közvetlenül az óceán partján helyezkedik el, saját parkolóval rendelkezik. A szállásadó nagyon kedves, közvetlen. A reggeli változatos, de nem túl bőséges. Nekünk elegendő volt. Minden nap történt szoba takarítás. A szoba klimatizált és az óceánparta néz. A kert nagy méretű amiben egy medence és tusoló is található. A kajakot ingyen használhattuk. A szállás kicsit elhasznált, egy felújítás ráférne. Főleg a fürdőszobában. A fürdéshez a melegvíz inkább langyos volt, mint meleg. A konyhát közösen lehetett használni, de a szobába jó lenne egy privát hűtő és egy külön szemetes tároló.
• Loraine (6/5): Pleasant stay but I expected more for my money - did not meet my expectations - The location is excellent as you are right on the beach and only a short distance from a couple of restaurants and supermarket which you can walk to fairly easily I felt that there was a fair bit of work to be done on the property. The owners bought it a few years ago but do not appear to have invested in it. The communal kitchen is dated and in disrepair - cupboard doors falling off and generally cluttered worktops. The kitchen floor requires a bit of work as the laminate flooring is lifting around the entrance door. Also around the pool the steps are coming away and there are a couple of a cracked tiles. The pool needs repainting. Garden furniture is weathered. I felt that for the amount I had paid the property was not meeting my expectations. The owners need to perhaps invest a little bit to bring the property back up to the standard I expected from the excellent reviews

Le manque d’intimité la propreté des lieux est à revoir surtout le coins cuisine La piscine l’eau etait un peu trouble. Pas assez de table et de transats pour tout le monde à l extérieur. Le trie des déchets inexistants quel dommage .

• Carole (9/5): Un séjour calme et reposant dans un magnifique environnement - L'accueil, la disponibilité des propriétaires et de bons conseils, le calme et l'environnement. Rien de particulier. Un petit frigo dans la chambre serait peut-être le bienvenu. L'utilisation libre en commun de celui de la cuisine est appréciable, mais pouvoir mettre au frais une bouteille d'eau en accès direct jour et nuit serait également agréable.

We had an early checkout at 4:30 AM for our flight, and they were kind enough to even offer us breakfast at that hour. We chose to take sandwiches to carry instead, which was very thoughtful of them. Truly exceptional hospitality. Would definitely love to visit again!

Rundum sorglos Paket. - Die Gastgeber waren nicht nur außergewöhnlich freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, sondern auch rund um die Uhr erreichbar. Alles, was man wollte, wurde schnell und unkompliziert organisiert. Wir fühlten uns rundum sehr gut versorgt. Es gab einen großen Garten mit Liegen, Pool, Hängematte, Sitzsäcke, Sitzgelegenheiten und Bar. Für das Meer standen Kanus zur Verfügung. Täglich durften wir allerlei Rumkreationen probieren. Wir konnten auch die Küche mitbenutzen und hatten ein Abteil im Kühlschrank. Es herrschte eine sehr familiäre und harmonische Stimmung. Ausflugstipps und Fahrten mit dem „hauseigenem“ Taxifahrer bereicherten unseren Aufenthalt. Sehr schön, sehr erlebnisreich.

L’accueil a été chaleureux et attentionné du début à la fin (surprise pour mon anniversaire) avec toujours un sourire et de bons conseils pour découvrir l’île. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et décorée avec goût, le lit très confortable, et tout était pensé pour notre confort. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et délicieux, avec des produits frais et variés. L’emplacement est idéal : au calme, mais proche de tout ce qu’il faut voir. Un vrai coup de cœur, nous reviendrons sans hésiter et recommandons vivement cet établissement à tous ceux qui cherchent une expérience agréable et authentique.
• Lena (10/5): Perfect seaside guesthouse with a homely feel - We truly loved our stay here. The hosts, a lovely French couple, were very welcoming and made the place feel like home. Our upper-floor room had a large terrace with stunning sunset views over the sea. We enjoyed borrowing the double kayak and paddleboard and heading straight out onto the ocean, which was right in the backyard. The deep pool was perfect for relaxing, and there was always a sunbed available with a beautiful sea view.
• Beate (1/5): Verdrecktes Strandhaus - Wieder weg zu sein Sauberkeit! Ein ansich schönes Haus, was leider überhaupt nicht gepflegt wird. Das ist total schade, weil das Konzept gut wäre und die Besitzer auch ok sind. Unsere Kissen waren nicht überzogen, auf den Dekokissen weißliche Flecken, schwarzer Schimmel in der Dusche, der Pool nicht sauber und auch die Sitzmöglichkeiten Outdoor durchgesessen und verdreckt. Die Eigentümer haben einen Hund, wir mögen Hunde, aber wer Hunde nicht mag oder allergisch ist ist hier Fehl am Platz. Wir sind vorzeitig nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist und haben wenigstens unser Geld wieder bekommen.

• Michael (1/5): - Nothing at all. What a terrible place. If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. This was the worst place we have ever stayed. The online ratings are completely misleading and must be fake and do not reflect the reality at all. There was no hot water, lizards in our room, and the accommodation felt more like a run-down backpackers or someone’s house than any form of proper guesthouse or hotel. The owners were rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in their guests. The environment was unpleasant and unhygienic, with loud, constant nasal snorting and snot-clearing noises in shared areas, which added to the overall low standard of the place. Breakfast was equally awful, stale bread, boxed juice, and eggs that made me physically ill. We arrived late from the airport and still chose to leave after just one night because we felt so uncomfortable. The owners showed no concern or accountability when we left early. This place should be embarrassed by the standard it offers. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to avoid it entirely. Shame on you.

• Samyak (10/5): Dreamy stay - The hosts are amazing people and very helpful. They sort out everything that you would need during the stay. The place is beautiful with a great ocean view. The beach is accessible just outside the garden. Very well maintained. Feels like home. Albion is a little quiet and far away from the buzzing spots. It's more suitable if you rent a car and looking for relaxing in the property. Although would still recommend because of the location on the beach and the amazing hosts.

Vieraille järjestettiin mukava illanvietto, jossa paikallinen kokki teki erinomaiset ruoat. Ranta avautuu omasta portista. Albion on mukava paikka, jos paikallinen meininki kiinnostaa. Hyvä sijainti tutustua saaren lounais-osaan.
• Dieter (10/5): Es war ein super schöner Aufenthalt. - Karine und Jerome sind sehr sympathische, hilfsbereite und aufmerksame Gastgeber. An den zweimal pro Woche angeboten Abendessen (Bier/Wein inklusive) haben wir immer teilgenommen: es hat immer gut geschmeckt und die Interaktion mit teilnehmenden Gästen hat uns auch viel Spaß gemacht. Wer will kann Küche, Kühlschrank und Geschirr mitbenutzen. Die Lage des sehr offen gestalteten Hauses ist sehr ruhig in einer Einbahnstraße auf einem großen Grundstück. Im Umkreis (1,5 bis 2,5 km) sind auch einige gute Restaurants und ein Supermarkt. Das Meer direkt vor dem Grundstück ist nicht sehr tief (max. 1 m bei Flut) aber herrlich warm und sauber. Für Rückenschwimmen reicht es meistens. Die Gastgeber haben auch einen noch jungen Husky, was für die meisten Gäste kein Problem war, aber für Leute mit Angst vor Hunden schwierig sein kann.
• Petra (7/5): Für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Ordnung - Ein nettes kleines Gasthaus mit zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Frühstück dem Land entsprechend. Rund um Albion erlebt man noch ursprüngliches Mauritius. Es gibt einen Hund im Haus, der wohl macht, was er will.

• Christine (10/5): Kleines feines Bed&Breakfast - Gute Lage, fußläufig der öffentliche Strandabschnitt erreichbar, allerdings kann man auch gleich direkt vom Garten über eine Treppe ins Meer gehen. Kleines feines serviertes Frühstück beim Pool. Inhaberpaar kümmert sich aufmerksam.

• Mary (10/5): It was the perfect place to start our Mauritius adventure! - Overlooking a long sandy beach, this guest house was beautiful, peaceful and full of character. We received a warm welcome and were very well looked after. Breakfast with fresh fruit, omelette and fresh baking was served under the frangipane tree. We only wish we could have stayed for a few more days! Nothing. Everything worked well, the en-suite room was comfortable, bright and airy. The poolside area was well laid out with plenty of sunbathing options for the sun worshippers and shady umbrellas for the fair skinned Scots!

Excellent accueil de Karine, on est de suite à l'aise ! Les chambres sont spacieuses et climatisées, préparées avec attentions par Sandrina, toujours souriante. De larges baies vitrées vous offrent la vue sur la piscine, le jardin et le lagon. Petit déjeuner servi à partir de 7h30, au bord de la piscine, mais si besoin plus tôt, aucun problème ! Vous aurez des gâteaux maison, des crêpes etc, trop bons. 2 dîners possibles par semaine, avec des spécialités locales où l'on se retrouve au bord de la piscine pour des moments d'échanges avec les autres guests. Pour le reste du temps, si vous le voulez, profitez de la cuisine partagée avec l'ensemble des guests (un réfrigérateur est dédié pour y stocker les courses). Tous les soirs, c'est rituel apéro, avec un punch maison ! Et pour clore la soirée, un p'tit rhum arrangé maison :-) Que de bons moments ! Kayaks et chaussures d'eau à disposition. A 5mn à pied par la plage possibilité d'acheter des spécialités locales très bon marché. Ici, à la Maison de la plage, c'est vraiment comme à la maison, tant dans la façon de faire que d'y vivre. Une maison de famille. De bons moments d'échanges avec Karine, toujours de bons conseils et d'anecdotes. Il y a un truc qui se passe avec nos hôtes, un truc que l'on n'explique pas. Tu arrives avec le sourire, et tu pars avec quelques larmes. Encore merci à toutes et tous, Karine, Jimmy et Sandrina, sans oublier Alia le husky, et le gecko du bar qui vient se délecter des quelques gouttes de rhum tombées sur le zing :-) Et c'est sûr, si l'on revient à Maurice, on reviendra ici ! Tous les soirs, c'est rituel apéro, avec un punch maison ! Et pour clore la soirée, un p'tit rhum arrangé maison :-) Que de bons moments ! Kayaks et chaussures d'eau à disposition. A 5mn à pied par la plage possibilité d'acheter des spécialités locales très bon marché. Ici, à la Maison de la plage, c'est vraiment comme à la maison, tant dans la façon de faire que d'y vivre. Une maison de famille. De bons moments d'échanges avec Karine, toujours de bons conseils et d'anecdotes. Il y a un truc qui se passe avec nos hôtes, un truc que l'on n'explique pas. Tu arrives avec le sourire, et tu pars avec quelques larmes. Encore merci à toutes et tous, Karine, Jimmy et Sandrina, sans oublier Alia le husky, et le gecko du bar qui vient se délecter des quelques gouttes de rhum tombées sur le zing :-) Et c'est sûr, si l'on revient à Maurice, on reviendra ici ! Un repas local préparé par Jimmy, un vrai régal! Une vue imprenable sur l’océan depuis le lit, un vrai bonheur ! Les petits déjeuners pris dans le jardin sont très appréciable! Le temps semble s’être suspendu durant les 8 jours passé à la maison de la plage, il est difficile d'en repartir... • JEAN-CLAUDE (10/5): Une parenthèse hors du temps. - Je ne vais pas vous dire que l'accueil est top, l'emplacement est top, le confort est top,... tout est au top. C'est un fait. Je vais vous parler de la "Maison de la Plage". La Maison est un être vivant avec ses terrasses aux larges baies vitrées comme de grands yeux ouverts contemplant l'océan indien. La fée Karine, fragile, sensible, bienveillante, est l'âme de la maison et la grande prêtresse des lieux.Un peu alchimiste, elle possède la potion magique qui rassemble au gré des arrivées et des départs, les individualités de ses hôtes en une tribu homogène. La jeune et discrète Sandrina vous offrira au petit déjeuner son joli sourire. Jimmy le taxi, cuisinier de la table d'hôtes du Dimanche et du Mercredi, sera une aide précieuse à ceux que la conduite à gauche rebute. J'oubliais, quand vous serez sur place, donnez le bonjour de ma part au petit lézard alcoolique qui habite sous le bar, et, qui lampe avec avidité sur le zinc, les gouttes de rhum tombées des verres trop pleins, quand on trinque aux vacances à l'apéritif du soir... Rien.

L’emplacement de la guesthouse avec un accès direct à la mer. La vue magnifique sur la mer, super balcon. La possibilité de table d’hôte deux fois par semaine avec des soirées très chaleureuses Nous n’avons pas mis la note maximale car, dans une des chambres, la douche est à rénover.

Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié, la qualité de l'hébergement est quasiment parfaite, la situation de l'hôtel les pieds dans l'eau est fabuleuse !

• Svantje (10/5): - Die Lage war herrlich. Das Apartment liegt direkt am Strand und der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ist toll. Die beiden Eigentümer wohnen mit im Haus. Sie sind sehr herzlich und unterstützen wo sie können. Sie bieten manchmal auch gemeinsames Abendessen an (man kann aber frei entscheiden ob man lieber für sich sein möchte oder am Geschehen beteiligt ist). Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und man kann es mit herrlichem Meerblick genießen. Es gibt außerdem Kanus die man sich kostenfrei ausleihen kann, was wir genutzt haben und zum Riff gepaddelt sind. Gerne wären wir auch länger geblieben. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen ! :)

Tout était parfait : accueil chaleureux, la gentillesse et les bons conseils de nos hôtes. Emplacement face a l’océan accès direct à la plage, le calme, les chambres décorées avec goût… Petits déjeuners variés, et le soir possibilité de réservez un bon repas typique mauricien concocter par notre adorable Jimmy. • luanaandriollo (10/5): Il posto migliore dove siamo mai stati - Abbiamo trascorso qui la prima settimana del nostro viaggio di nozze, ed ora dover andare via è stato davvero un dispiacere! Karine e Jerome sono una coppia meravigliosa che ha saputo creare un posto unico e speciale, con l'intento di farti sentire in famiglia, e ci riescono in pieno! Oltre a darci mille consigli, ci hanno aiutato e risolto due bei problemi che abbiamo avuto con la macchina noleggiata, togliendoci ogni preoccupazione! La Maison è una grande villa, con poche bellissime stanze e arredata con gusto, con un grande giardino che da direttamente sulla spiaggia dove si è praticamente da soli, mare sempre calmo e tramonti mozzafiato! Oltre alle due cene organizzate da loro per gli ospiti, ci siamo offerti anche noi di cucinare italiano per tutti, tanto ci sentivamo come in famiglia e vista l'atmosfera che si era creata tra tutti noi. È stata un' esperienza davvero unica, per cui già pensiamo di voler ritornare❤️ La Maison e' stata la migliore scelta in un viaggio mai fatta!

• Thomas (7/5): Schön, aber größerer Verbesserungsbedarf - Das Haus liegt wundervoll am Meer, ein direkter Strand ist da, aber man stellt es sich vielleicht anders vor. Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich, wenngleich wenig deftig. Bett ist super groß und bequem. Wir reden hier vom Zimmer im 1. Stock, aber dem, das etwas im Eck liegt. Und da beginnt es, dass es im 1. Stock 3 Zimmer gibt. 2 haben einen sehr schönen Balkon mit Tisch und bequemen (!!) Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir waren aber eben im Eck und hier stehen lediglich zwei harte Holzstühle, die völlig uneinladen sind. Zudem befindet sich die Klimaanlage der anderen Zimmer auf diesem Balkon (siehe Foto) und sobald sie eingeschaltet wird, wurde es bei uns ziemlich laut, das war für uns das größte Manko. Aus den Rohren im Bad riecht es sehr muffig, das liegt wohl an dem Alter dieser. Das große Wohn- und Gemeinschaftszimmer ist schön, da dieses aber als privater Bereich der beiden Betreiber verwendet wird, fühlt man sich doch ein bisschen als Eindringling. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis empfanden wir als zu teuer, für das was man bekommt.

La cuisine est à disposition des clients. Ils organisent des repas typiques mauriciens concoctés par Jimmy. • Ruben (10/5): Una estancia de 10 - Desde la habitación hasta el desayuno todo estuvo de nuestro agrado, Karyn y Jerome nos hicieron sentir como en casa además de hacer nuestra estancia más fácil, aconsejandonos sobre excursiones y cosas que hacer, además se realizaron cenas entre todos los huéspedes para dinamizar la convivencia a las que puedes unirte si quieres. Tienes kayaks para dar un paseo y ver las chulísimas puestas de sol que se dan en la playa de Albion, o si quieres relajarte en el jardín mientras te das un baño en la piscina y tomas algo mientras las observas.
• Sophie (10/5): Splendide, magnifique, parfait. - Tous était parfait, petit déjeuné excellent, Carine et Jérôme sont vraiment très gentil aux petits soin pour leurs convives et de très bons conseils, ils peuvent même vous organiser dès excursions avec de très bons prestataires. L'établissement est un véritable petit coin de paradis dans un environnement splendide. Une ambiance formidable dans une maison magnifique. Seul bémol tous est tellement bien et Carine et Jérôme si gentil que l'on ne veux plus partir. Nous retournerons à LA MAISON DE LA PLAGE.

Les hôtes Karine et Jérôme sont d’une grande gentillesse et nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux, partagé un apéritif et un délicieux repas avec nous, moments conviviaux qui ont permis de créer de vrais liens. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux, varié et préparé avec amour par Karine. • Tereza (10/5): Cosy place with friendly owners - We stayed 3 nights in Albion and then 3 nights at a resort in Palmar. We liked the guest house in Albion a bit more. The beach was calm, easy to swim or snorkel. It is not a very touristy place, which is difficult to find these days. Great hosts, they can help you to arrange transport/drive you to a shop if needed. Possible to borrow cayak, hang out in the garden. All was ok. There are only a few restaurants /shops so be ready for that. But totally fine if you stay a few nights or have a car/motorbike

Karine and Jerome are incredible.We came for the beach, stayed for the vibes. The house is charming, peaceful, and full of character.
• Fabian (7/5): All in all a nice stay. - Really nice house with an amazing view and great sunsets. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. They gave us good recommendations for restaurants, trips etc. We could also use there canoes, this was great. We enjoyed the time also with the other guests. Everything could have been cleaner, especially the shower and the pool. The rooms were very noisy and the breakfast was ok, maybe they could offer some bread or baguettes and not always the simple toast with instant coffee.
• Borislav (9/5): Superb - A beautiful villa with an absolutely stunning view that practically 'touches' the ocean! The hosts were always helpful and the breakfasts in the garden had some something fresh and homemade every day. The location was also great for us, peaceful and relaxed, and you simply can't beat the tranquillity of the place in combination with the gorgeous views of the lagoon! Some of the facilities can be refreshed at this point and few small things can be improved around those. For example, some of the plugs in the room weren't working and on the provided extensions only half the sockets worked too. Few small things like little shampoos and mosquito repellent plug-ins can also be made available, we bought these from the supermarket straight away but for minimal use.

It exceeded my expectations. Although I had a lat flight out, they graciously allowed me to stay after chckout and even provided access to a shower before I left for the airpot. AAAAA+++++!!! nothing could have been better
• Carine (9/5): We didn’t want to leave. - La Maison de la Plage was an awesome place to stay. Jérome and Karine are fantastic hosts. They will bend backward to help with any query you have, make phone calls, arrange transport and excursions for you. Albion is a quiet location, not full of tourists, just how we like it. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and we ended up eating at La Murene three times since we enjoyed it so much. The island is beautiful with many places to see/walk about and superb beaches to relax. Snorkelling was such a wonderful experience, especially when we came across a turtle. We also enjoyed several beautiful sunsets. La Maison de la Plage served breakfast in the lovely garden every day, looking out to the sea with plenty to eat: eggs, toast, yogurts, fruits and pancakes/toast. We could cool down in the pool or go for a swim in the sea at the bottom of the garden. We would definitely recommend La Maison de la Plage to anyone who is looking for a homely stay. Jérome and Karine are very relaxed and will make you feel welcome.
• Boshoff (10/5): 8 Deliciously enjoyable days at La Maison de la Plage! - Our stay at the Maison was super! It had everything we wanted! We came to explore Mauritius and it was a perfect base from which we travelled to almost everywhere on this stunning paradise within 1 hour! The room was large, the view (indescribably beautiful the whole day and night with the most awesome sunsets), breakfasts on the terrace were enjoyable and not monotonous. Our hosts were kind and helpful. My wife wanted to buy some dragon fruit and we enquired where we can purchase it, next day Karine pitched up with a bag full on the house! For a guest house our room and balcony was really private, quiet and we seldomly noticed that there were other people around even when the parking lot was full and the rooms fully booked. The place has the perfect holiday vibe and if you so wished to; you could enjoy conversation and laughs anytime next to the wonderful pool with the hosts and other guests! Our room was perfectly cleaned every day with fresh linen regularly . (Thank you, Shandrina and Nat for your awesome service and friendliness, you were very much appreciated!) We snorkeled in the lagoon and although it is rather shallow we still saw some cute fish, some coral and a lot of sea urchins about 100m+ from the beach. The new Albion Mall with the Dodo Supermarket was a surprise as it stocked almost everything one would need for a stay. All in all: You did great! Well done Jerome and Karine! Thank You!!! Theo and Marina Boshoff Although we had ample space in the fridge in the kitchen, it would have been rather nice to have a little bar fridge in the room. We often forgot our bottled juices and drinks in our room as we were swimming and snorkeling all over during daytime! :) Some loose tiles in the room bothered us because we were afraid it may wake the guests in the room below us when stepped upon! I'm sure it will be a quick fix! Oi, I really wanted to take the kayak out to the lagoon as it was always available but never got around to it! :D :D
• Federica (10/5): Feeling at home in Mauritius! - Exceptional stay! Karine, Jerome and all their staff made us feel at home in Mauritius. The house was large and well equipped, right in front of the beach. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was diverse and filling. Albion is a quiet village with not too much to offer, but we really liked its tranquillity and location, as everything in the island was max 1h away. I would definitely be back for my next stay!

• Sweekar (10/5): Exceptional - The place is unforgettable- it's pristine, intimate and has private access to the beach. Our hosts, Karine and Jerome were warm and welcoming. They arranged the perfect cab services and helped us plan our stay without taxing our minds. We had fhe most relaxing stay, as the backyard had its own bird watching option and the view of a breathtaking sunset. You'll not see a sunset like that anywhere else. Overall 10/10 in every way. This was the first time we got emotional about returning back home. Thank you for this golden experience. Special shout out to Jimmy who was not just a cab driver, he was a very good tour guide. Loved everything however due to limited dining options at Albion as an area, it would be even better if at a chargeable amount , there was an option for home made dinner because the aromatic lasagna made it difficult to love the food outside 😜
• Anastasia (10/5): Fantastic - This is a fantastic place to stay with a relaxed atmosphere and homely feel. The rooms have beautiful views of the bay and the garden is a nice size with a pool and direct beach access. We felt so welcome by the lovely hosts who were always happy to help and answer questions. Really nice variety for breakfast as well. Nothing negative to say, we had a really great stay.
