Guest Reviews
- Roberta (10/5): - Hotel meraviglioso con vista Castello
Pulizia impeccabile
Staff cordiale
- Rosie (8/5): - In the old town, walk everywhere with care. Owner provided shade on the roof when requested. Noisy - close to mosque snd opposite temple, the many stray dogs barking snd fighting at night
Needed to request cleaning and even then it was not always done.
- eastofhere (10/5): Excellent - Location was fabulous Nothing
- Hugo (10/5): - Amazing house in the very center of Jodhpur, and really helpful staff.
- NishTravels (10/5): Perfect Stay in the Blue Corridor! - The property is in the core city in the Blue Corridor for which Jodhpur is actually known. It's a 375 years old Haveli Preserved by 5th generation of the owners. They have maintained the aesthetics so well! My room has the best view as it was overlooking the Mehrangarh Fort. Host is amazing person, very kind and helpful too. They called late night to confirm if we were safe and sound and if we need help to navigate way back to the Haveli. Would love to stay again. Nothing to Dislike!
- Maud (10/5): We definitely would come back to this hotel for our next trip in Jodhpur - Everything was perfect. To the location in the old city, the beauty of the property, the cleanliness of the room and the amazing rooftop with the view on the fort and the blue houses. They also have a really good vegetarian restaurant and breakfast.
- Nandini (8/5): Nice haveli in the middle of old city - Very beautifully kept haveli in old city Jodhpur rooms are large and nicely maintained. The owner Vishal and his staff are friendly professional and nice. The location is in the middle of a busy market. Also the stairs are steep inside the haveli

- Priti (10/5): Nice and friendly family - How helpful the staff/ kitchen help were. Very interesting
- Subrata (8/5): It was comfortable when one enters the room, but getting in to the room is very laborious. - Being a heritage property, the decor of the room had an ethnic touch. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean.
The service of the staff was very good. The location of the hotel is such that it is not approachable by car - the hotel provides complimentary autorickshaw service for pickup and drop from the nearest road during check in and check out. The steps of the staircase are very steep and narrow.
Approach to the hotel is through a busy market area.
- Daljeero (9/5): Very nice stay, staff were excellent. The owner was very helpful and friendly - We had the room with a view of the Fort which was amazing Stairs are hard as we get older
- Alexandra (10/5): - Second time at Shahi, had an amazing time yet again.
- Mobina (10/5): Beautiful stay in a typical hotel ! Great rooftop - The hotel is very well placed sitting in the middle of the blue city we were only 10 mins walk to every attraction ! The rooftop is lovely and offers a great view of the fort and city, we had breakfast served they everyday freshly made for us. The rooms were spacious, very clean and well decorated ours had a great view of the fort we were in the Heritage rooms ! The hotel owners and staff are fantastic very kind, they booked us some masseuse who came to the hotel, they arranged for us the car to go to our next destination with a very fair price and gave us great restaurant recommendations. I really recommend staying here it’s a perfect way to assimilate to local culture and heritage whilst staying in a nice clean functional hotel. I would go again ! N/A
- Alejandro (10/5): - Evrrything is SPOT ON! Nothing wrong!
- Silvia (9/5): - location in the old town, friendly and very welcoming staff
- willirl (9/5): - Lovely building in atmospheric part of the old city. Friendly and helpful owners. Good food A bit noisy from outside. A lot of steps
- Amrita (10/5): -
- Singh (9/5): The owner and the staff were great, location mindblowing - Our experience at the property was truly pleasant and comfortable. The staff were courteous, respectful, and highly cooperative, and they were attentive to our requests from the very beginning.
Drinking water was promptly provided without any follow-ups, and the staff ensured our comfort throughout the stay. Considering the cold season, hot water and an electric kettle were readily made available, which added greatly to our convenience.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and met all hygiene standards. Overall, the stay was smooth and hassle-free, making it a very good experience for us. We were completely satisfied and had no reason to make any changes to our booking.
We appreciate the hospitality and professionalism of the entire team and would be happy to recommend this property to others. Everything was perfect
- Divya (7/5): Nice experience - The cleanliness Its kind of homestay, so proper hotel like facilities like reception telephone is missing and the location is also less connective. Autos denied due to small and thin roads.

- Rushabh (8/5): -
- Ankur (10/5): Wonderful stay - Authentic Heritage Haveli experience and amazing hosts. Polite staff. Rooms are very well designed. Right in the city centre and next to the blue corridor. Comfortable beds and choice of pillows. Clean room and bathroom. Hosts make you feel at home and are super helpful. Wifi speed is great for surfing and also if you need to work from here.
- Chaturavidh (10/5): -
On a adoré
- Aliocha (8/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): Beautiful haveli in an interesting location - Beautiful old haveli with a clean and comfortable room. The bed and pillows were especially good, as was the hot shower. We also appreciated the interesting location within the old city. There is a restaurant on the rooftop with a good view of the fort and the surrounding area. The owner is friendly and helpful and there is an added bonus of an adorable dog resident. We would stay again. Nothing.
- Friederike (9/5): Alles super!
- Jeanne (6/5): - Well located in the old town: you can walk to most attractions Super noisy in the evening and morning. The hotel is located above a temple playing loud songs until late in the evening; and the room has no isolation whatsoever
Not a lot of light and there was a humidity feeling/smell
Bathroom was small so you flood the whole bathroom floor when taking a shower
- Erik (9/5): Mooie Haveli in oude stad - Oude Haveli Personeel wat afgestompt
- Panchal (9/5): -
Rien
- Rushikesh (9/5): Overall good stay - It feels very different to live in 375 years old heritage property. It is well kept. Neat and Clean. It is run by a helpful team. When we visited the property was understaffed. Only single person for cooking breakfast to cleaning room, to plumbing issues. of course, He was not professional cook hence the breakfast was very average in taste.
- Warangkana (8/5): Lovely house in the heart of the Blue City -
- Mary (8/5): - L’emplacement et la terrasse
- Dhiraj (10/5): -
- Annapurna (3/5): - Owners are friendly The name says Shahi Haveli but there is nothing ‘shahi’ or ‘royal’ about this place. Its located in a very narrow lane, and is a very old building with super steep, narrow staircases which are a pain to climb. The food in their rooftop cafe is just average & overall service is not satisfactory. The owners tried to be helpful but overall the property has a dull outdated vibe to it.
- Mr. Roberto (10/5): - We really love our stayed here, Krishna is a top young guy who elevates the service giving a warmth aspect to it. Thanks. Restaurant.
- Ulrike (10/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): An unforgettable stay in Jodhpur - The Shahi suite was beautifully presented and impeccably clean, with an unbeatable view of the fort. It was an amazing experience staying in this 375 year-old haveli. The family and staff were so lovely and welcoming, we especially adored Daisy the Labrador dog! Excellent location within 10 minutes walking distance of the clocktower.
- Alice (9/5): Super séjour, merci. - Tout Rien
- PRIYANKA (8/5): -
- Mauro (7/5): -
Rien
- Sourav (7/5): Good -
- Anshuman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jakub (10/5): An exceptional, traditional place with a stunning rooftop view - This is a ca. 400 year old traditional haweli, kept in the family, now in hands of a 5th generation owner.
I highly recommend staying here for the comfort of the rooms, rich history of the building, accommodating hosts, and if you have the deluxe suite - the fort view, and if you don't - just go to the rooftop restaurant, where you may enjoy fairly priced meals (though I cannot recommend the eggplant dish) and drinks (including a very reasonably priced beer) during movie-like sunsets. The kitchen staff are at your disposal whenever you need them.
The hotel is located just 2 corners away from the path to the sunset viewpoint, from where you will also get a great view of the North-Western part of the old town (on the other side of the fort).
Rooms are nicely decorated and beds are exceptionally comfortable. The best bed of my 41-day journey across India. Nothing to add
- Dupont (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely heritage property with a very good location. Rooms are large and comfortable.
- Kamal (8/5): Very good -
- Alain (7/5): Good - Very beautiful haveli, rooms nicely decorated and above all a stunning view over the fort.
Same beautiful view from the restaurant and good food from friendly cooks
- Edoardo (9/5): Very nice and quiet Haveli in a central location - Amazing view on the fort from our room
Spacious room and comfortable bed
Staff ok
- David (10/5): Wonderful small hotel, rooms were excellent, food and service was fantastic -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - The haveli is really beautiful and set in the middle of the blue city. Rooms are full of character and the view from the rooftop is gorgeous. Staff are also very nice. Highly recommended.
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaji (8/5): Very good - Really cool old house. Everything was good. The room was a bit tight so definitely choose the bigger room.
- Dipesh (9/5): Great stay in the centre of Jodhpur - Very charming property and great rooftop to enjoy views and meals from. Ideally located for activities and sights in central Jodhpur. Staff were super helpful and proactive to ensure stay was comfortable.
- Haydon (7/5): In the old city, must avail to it by rickshaw or walking only. Very nice rooms, great staff. - Lovely staff, great room, amazing rooftop. In the old city can be considered a pro or a con depending on who you are. You have to walk to it and around, which was fine for us. But at night time as two single females it was a bit dodgy. We were fine - we just had to take an auto to get back rather than walk after we realized the first night. Loud from the streets outside.
- Johan (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful rooms, great atmosphere.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Great location in the middle of the old city! Very atmospheric house. Nice view from the rooftop terrace. Room on first floor receives a lot of noise from the street and reception. I wonder if it would be better at the upper levels.
- Chetan (7/5): Good -
- Tunga (9/5): Superb - The amenities , cleanliness and the view from the roof top. The rooms were very cosy and the property owner was really helpful. They provided top notch service Food at the restaurant can be improved.
- Maja (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Wonderful hotel, our room was very nice, staff was helpful and helped us with many things.
The rooftop restaurant is a great place to enjoy the view. /
- Nagendra (8/5): Very good - Excellent location. Good food. The hotel is an old haveli which is very charming. Fantastic coffee of the majestic Mehrangarh fort from the rooftop. The rooms have many entrances. It is not clear how well the access is controlled. Some facilities need to be better maintained. In the interest of privacy the curtains should be thicker.
- John (9/5): Lovely boutique hotel - Beautiful room, very comfortable and some attempt had been made to reduce the noise from outside. Staff in the restaurant were lovely and worked very hard. A heater was provided. It was a little way out of the centre and away from restaurants etc. Hot water was variable, sometimes good and sometimes none. A little noisy from dogs and the temple next door. Earplugs essential (but that's true of everywhere in India)!
- Rajarshi (6/5): Good but located very very congested place. Dinings is in rooftop, very hight stairs - Located very very congested place. Car will not go. Only option to take auto rikshow.
Old heritage property. Located very congested place. Owner of property was good but his son attitude was very aggressive
- Sarah (10/5): Charming haveli - The most beautiful haveli I have stayed in. Charming decor and great location in blue city.
- Theo (10/5): Very good - Facility is incredible beautiful. We loved it! The room is so nice o wanted to stay more. Also the breakfast and the terrace is nice. Staff is not 100% clear.
- Rajaram (10/5): Exceptional -
- Franco (9/5): Loved it - Lovely place Lots of dogs barking really load
- Rohit (8/5): Very good -
- Sharad (8/5): Our one night stay was great. Rooms are large. - Not much can be done about location- it is only reachable by tuktuk as it is in old congested historic area. But once you reach there, it is wonderful.
- Miles (10/5): Great staff, convenient location - The staff here are truly helpful and friendly (including daisy the dog!). It’s a relatively small guest house with just 6 rooms but still has a rooftop that serves good food and also does beers. We found the room to be very clean and enjoyed our stay. Hot water for shower worked well also, very hot :) Nothing, enjoyed our stay
- Saykat (8/5): It was very nice but parking is the only concern - Amazing hotel owner & staff, great rooms nd service, nice hospitality The place doesn’t have access to a parking space & we need to hire an auto for our commute, as car parking is almost 2km far from the hotel. Sightseeing might be a monetary concern but owners do arrange pickup nd drop from and to the parking but not the sightseeing, we need to bear those expenses
- Mythili (9/5): Superb - The design of this place
- Sanjeet (8/5): Very good -
- Vaibhav (8/5): Very good -
- Sam (9/5): An oasis in the Sun City - Location is excellent, with amazing views of Mehrangarh Fort and a rooftop terrace to enjoy sunset views of the whole city. A 10 minute walk from the clock tower and the bustling bazaars, whilst only a 20 minute uphill walk to fort. Very near the famous Blue Corridor, which leads you straight in to the main square.
The building itself is stunning. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Not such a problem for us, but being an old building, the stairs to the upper rooms and rooftop are very steep and narrow, which may be an issue for some.
We were on the top floor, but it was still pretty loud. Not really a fault of the hotel and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere that can cut you off from the sounds of the city.
- Raphael (9/5): Great spot in Jodhpur - Very welcoming staff, helped us book our bus to Udaipur and recommended us a great tour in the Bishnoi villages.
Amazing rooftop
Stylish room
Close to everything
- Alexandre (9/5): Superb -
- Dipesh (10/5): Exceptional - Getting to stay in a 375 year old haveli was amazing. Vishal the host was most welcoming and was always ready with tips for sightseeing or shopping. We ate at the rooftop restaurant and the food was amazing. Rooftop views were great. The property in the blue city near the blue corridor.
- Prem (8/5): Good rooftop views. You have to catch an auto to come here. No 4 wheelers come here - Best staff and service. Great views from rooftop Location is not perfect for big family. Need to catch auto to get to this location, which is not free.
Breakfast was below average.
