• Rhoda (4/5): - I didn't like the fact that the first thing you see is a sign saying they are not responsible for your vehicle being damaged orr things being stolen. I also didn't like the fact that there were people in the center courtyard just hanging out. One wasn't sure if they belonged there or not. I felt unsafe. They couldn't find my reservation in the computer even though I had a confirmation number, and kept telling me they were sold out for the night. I had booked a double and was told there weren't any, so I had to take a single. The carpet was filthy. There was an iron and no ironing board. (Standard usually in all hotel rooms) I had to try to iron our wedding clothes on the bed. Kleenex and paper products hadn't been replaced from the previous patrons. We had to go get towels from the maid, as we were only given 2. Since we were put in a single room I assume that's all you get, but we were 2, so needed 4. The front desk was happy to tell me that there were over 47 channels on the TV, but 27 were shopping networks. I had more choice at home. While I was checking out, a woman called and complained to the front desk that housekeeping just walked in her while she was dressing! It was only 10:15! It wasn't even time to check out yet. The maid shouldnt have even started cleaning. The only bright spot was Ava and Emily at the front desk, they got us directions and helped us with breakfast and answered our questions.

That is my one and only suggestion. The room was cleaner than I expected (despite the glitter on the couch), and the staff was very nice.

• Tonja (8/5): Overall it was ok - Rooms are clean, pillows are the size of serving plates, nothing is plugged in, phone looked like a child had taken it apart and lost the plate for what button did what. Make sure you bring shampoo. The little packets has enough to wash your hands in them.

The thermostat didn't work in my room so it was stuck on in fan mode blowing air not cold or hot . I tired both and tje temp would mot adjust. Put thermostat to off but still ew air all night. My Tv didnt work just the so pleasant snow channel for my viewing pleasure. The real kicker is check is at 3pm and check out is 11am no exception. If you check out late it awhe another day charge. I ask to check out late about an hour at 1200 to get pack up after hunting. That didnt happen so had to pack up and check out at 445 am just before going hunting. I would not recommend this hotel / motel. I will pay the extra and stay at a Holiday Inn.

• Valerie (8/5): We'd Stay Again - It's an older hotel, but it's nice and well kept. The bedding was wonderful, and the room smelled very fresh and clean. Towels were fresh and clean. The room had lots of counter-top space. Chloe G. at the desk went above and beyond to help me locate the pillow that got left behind. She was so sweet and followed up perfectly. Two negatives. One, "dirt" on the wall around the toilet area and in the dressing area. And some splashes of something on the sofa. And the blinking clock that was impossible to reset the time on, with an unreachable plug (Covered with a pillow in order to sleep.)

• Verified traveler (4/5): Fraud service - I always thought this was the Best place to stay in El Campo BUT after the difficulty with checking in at the last stay, im not sure this place is legitimately charging people. Sounds like fraud is going on. The guy was hell bent on making me pay twice even though id already paid online. He wouldnt accept it or even check the site. Then when i called he said this happens alot and people just pay him. When i asked will i be approved for cancelling reservation online he said NO cuz its a loss. So when I called hotels.com to confirm my payment and give him the virtual card he spent 40 minutes arguing that it was declining and saying his boss went up on the taxes so they needed to pay the difference. When asked he wouldnt say the difficerence. IT WAS $3!!!!! I finally got upset and yelled once then he fixed it and let us check in. I feel they are trying to rip people off by charging extra and also collecting the cancelation fees by tricking people. I hope they fix the issue or get taken off the site. Never will stay here again.

• Tarvia (10/5): - I used to live in El Campo about 10 yrs ago. When I come to visit there really wasn’t a reasonable hotel there. I remember them building Lonestar Inn. My experience has been nothing but excellent! From checking in, to the spacious rooms and my fav in room fridge, microwave, and coffee maker( I’m a coffee addict, I get up every morning at 3 to pray and drink coffee). The hot continental breakfast is delicious! The rooms are clean, and sound proof. The beds are comfy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in town.😊
