• eleanor (7/5): Overall comfortable and the owner was helpful in making bookings for us - In a quiet road walkable to Spar etc on outskirts of town Old fashioned but bright and friendly Comfortable bed, decent large bathroom and plenty of cupboard space No lounging out door furniture and a drawback not being able to see the majestic mountains. Dislike fake grass and the tiny plunge pool looked uninviting

• Jochen (10/5): - Sehr atmosphärisch eingerichtet. Schöne Terrasse. Freundliche Gastgeberin. Gutes Bett. Sehr sauber. Streamingdienste (lautstärkereduziert). Zu Fuß in die Stadtmitte 15 - 20 Minuten. Parkplatz am Haus. Das Bellen der Hunde von den Nachbargrundstücken.

• Elkatip (9/5): We had a very short stay but it was clean and very nice - Very clean place and really nice and accommodating host
• Annali (5/5): good for a quick overnight - It was the cheapest stay we could find in Stellenbosch for me and two students so we took it. I did expect a little more at the price but I suppose that is Stellenbosch prices for you. Loved the aircon and had a dip in the quaint little pool. Owner was helpful. Lovely linen and all the amenities that you could want I did expect a little more for the price. Possibly drinking water in the fridge .Outside stoep had not been cleaned as there was cigarette buts in the ashtray. Other than that totally passable for a one night stay and nothing that I can fault it with.

Freundliche Besitzerin und Personal. Die Lage war nah.am Zentrum, jedoch mit Uber definitiv empfehlenswert, besonders in der Dunkelheit. -

• Laís (7/5): Simples, mas ok. - O checkin foi bem tranquilo, o quarto oferecia chaleira, café e chá e possui tv smart. Estavamos em 4 e reservamos 2 quartos. Um dos que ficamos não foi condizente com o da reserva. Nos colocaram no quarto mais simples que era o mais barato. Como chegamos no local, deixamos as malas, pegamos as chaves e só voltamos tarde, não conseguimos cobrar pelo quarto que haviamos reservado e pago. Acabou que foi bem chato. Os quartos são bem simples, e esse mais barato que ficamos o banheiro era bem ruim, não tinha ar condicionado/aquecedor. Não acho que vale o que cobram.

The bathroom shower feels very exposed to the above windows where the covering does not meet the window.

• Cmouton (8/5): A comfortable stay at a great location - This guest house was very conveniently located. The hostess was very friendly and kind. Checking in was easy and without any problems. I had a pretty small room, but it was perfect for what I needed. There was even a nice working space for doing some remote work. Even though everything was compact I never felt cramped, and I'm a big person! All in all a great experience and I'll stay here again. It was a bit noisy with the German students staying there. This is however not the fault of the establishment.

The only thing that wasn’t excellent was the constant electrical humming noise(similar sound to an extractor fan)which was right outside my room and disturbed my sleep .

They were most accommodating for our delayed check in and keen to assist with any queries or concerns. The bathroom could do with a lick of paint and finishes are probably not at the standard I would have expected but it was spacious and comfortable. I had to request a mirror for the dressing table/ desk, but it was immediately addressed - when I got back to the room there was a mirror on the table.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was cleaned or tidied regularly. There was air-con and a hairdryer It would have helped if there were instructions on how to use the microwave, the shower and the air-con. The air-con started blowing out air at 27 degrees at one stage and neither I nor the lady who was overseeing the premises knew how to correct it. To her credit, she called some and it was fixed the next day.

Cute additions like a chocolate on the pillow, a jar of biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities, and fairylights. There was an electric blanket, which was very much needed! I was really cold here, even with the electric blanket turned on (only one side of the bed seemed to work - unless I just hadn't found the socket for where the blanket on the left side of the bed was plugged in). I know it was the end of winter, but I didn't expect my accommodation to be that cold. Maybe a central heating system isn't common in South Africa?

Fridge, kettle, milk and rusks provided, even if the breakfast option was not taken, which was a very nice touch. Perfect for short stay for work purposes. I did state that we dont eat beef and pork, the establishment could hvae improvised and served chicken, fish etc. The room that was advertised was not the room that my family slept it, very dissapointed. There is a net curtain that seperates the shower /bathroom and the room. with teenage kids how would you think that would work with privacy? Overall a 1 out of 10.
