- A8999XZemmaw (2/5): Worst place I've ever stayed . - Absolutely terrible place. Food was the same dinner and tea. Not allowed to take milk for a brew in room, practically shouted at for that. Ive 21 bed bug bites on my legs. Dropped off at the bottom of hill with a 71 year old lady. 28c had to drag luggage up a 15minute hill/hike to get to hotel. Room was dirty, shower was disgusting. Claims to be a four star hotel . Not even half a star. All inclusive drinks include only 6 different drinks which finish at 10pm then you pay a good whack for one in a glass. Avoid like the plague....
- sharongM8157QH (10/5): Little hidden Gem - We did not have high expectations for this 2* hotel, but I can honestly say it exceeded it and then some! Yes the rooms could do with cosmetic updating, but it was spotless, clean towels every other day, the young girl cleaning worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was lovely and plenty of beds. Michael is definitely an asset, he cooks, serves drinks and is also your local guide to the area , he is also one of the happiest people I have ever come across! The hill is steep, and the final section is in need of repair, but it did not detract from our holiday. We hired a moped from Unicorn rentals and I would highly recommend great customer service. We ate at a different restaurant every night and not one bad meal, but I have to mention the prawn saganaki at Zorbas, the chicken BLT at Mel’s and the prawn, scallop and squid risotto at Retseto, just amazing!
- SigbertOR (8/5): Superb Friendly Resort. - We booked this as a last minute cheap holiday. The apartments have fantastic views across the bay and are up a very steep hillside. I wasn't expecting much as it was very budget friendly and am surprised to say it exceeded my expectations. The room was very basic but clean with a comfortable bed and great air con! There is a small bar ran mainly by Michael, Micheal is the tall, handsome Young looking guy, but if you want to find him, just listen to where the laughter is! He in a nut shell is the heart and soul of the resort, a Man with a heart of Gold! All the staff work really hard, towels are changed every 3 days and the lovely maid (Michaels young daughter! ;) ) cleans and empties the bin every day. If you are not that fit and have trouble walking then this place is not for you, although you can get a taxi. If you want luxury then it's not for you. For a week or 2 no frills budget holiday in gorgeous Lassi, Kefelonia, then I would really recommend it. We loved it!
- libbye985 (8/5): Amazing resort and island - look after the white kitty!! - Such a beautiful island! Hotel wise, the pool area, bar area and rooms are amazing and comfortable for either a short stay or a long stay. I stayed in room B6 and the view was incredible, but beware of dropping crumbs on the floor because the ants WILL come in. However, there is no lobby area, so when you arrive come straight to the bar area and someone will help you check in. Furthermore, if you plan to explore, you must commit to the hill. I stayed for two weeks and my legs have definitely become stronger after walking down and up every night, sometimes even twice a day. We got a taxi up the hill one time from the bottom and it was €10, so if you're willing to spend that money then it's worth it to save your legs. Another wonderful part of my stay in Kefalonia is that I went on a cultural tour around the island and also went on a day trip to Ithaca, a small island next to Kefalonia. I definitely reccomend both trips. There is also a really cute cat that stays at the resort, mostly around the pool and bar area. The cat is really friendly and will sit on your lap. One night, the cat followed me to my room and from then on I fed the cat every morning and night. Because of this, the cat sleeps on the chairs outside the room and even got inside the room at some points!! If you're staying in room B6 after the 10th August 2025, or just staying at the resort in general, cat food is 80 cents in Vegalati food market on the road at the bottom of the hill if you're kind enough to help this kitty. I will link photos below of my stay here.
- kazr2017 (10/5): A real chill out. - Sunset Paradise delivers exactly what it says in its name. 2*plus but perfect location(note it is a hillside location) in Lassi with a 20 minute coach transfer .The staff especially Michael cannot do enough to make your stay a good one . The beds are comfy and rooms are spacious, dated but spotless clean.Plenty of lovely nearby beaches and restaurants with every one serving very good food . Such a lovely friendly chilled vibe ,with Argostili the capital within walking distance ,this is a must to see the turtles in the lake . The sea temperature was fantastic with crystal clear waters.This was my 2nd stay and will definitely keep returning.
- pookeydog (10/5): Amazing Stay - We booked this holiday last minute and was expecting a basic hotel. We were shocked at the quality and cleanliness of the Sunset Paradose Resort. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms. We were greeted by the bar man Michael, who was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. He took us to our room (room 9), which was immaculate. The room contained everything we needed for our 10 night stay. The weather was incredibly hot, so we paid for the air conditioning, including the tourist tax we paid 80€ for the duration and it was definitely worth it! The towels and bedding were changed every 3 days, however the cleaners came in every day and restocked toilet roll, mopped the floors and made the beds. I was pleasantly surprised with the little extras that you get (sponge, washing up liquid, shampoo/ shower gel) that you don’t usually get when you stay in a self catering apartment. The pool area is spacious and there is no fighting for sunbed. The pool was clean and the bar area comfortable. We ate in the pool bar which offers a variety of snacks and main meals. All the food was delicious and home cooked. Both Michael and Anastcio were extremely friendly and made our stay incredibly comfortable! We had a late flight home, and the apartments gave us towels so that we could shower in the private cubicles before our flight home. The hotel is up a steep hill (as many in Kefalonia) but a taxi into Lassi or Agistoli is only 8€, we were walking up one day and the night bar man picked us up and gave us a lift! Which was great! Overall an incredibly enjoyable stay, and well worth the money! I was dubious before arriving, however Sunset Paradose Resort is clean, comfortable and welcoming, personally I believe it’s worth way more than 2*! Thanks for a lovely stay, we would definitely return in a heartbeat.
- 653kathrynn (8/5): Needs some work - Needs some work The staff are lovely and the apartments are clean but the rooms really need some maintenance. Light switches falling off wall, wardrobe door broken (and notified about but no-one ever came to fix), slightly grim (but clean) shower; tiny with shower curtain. The space around the blocks is a bit of a mess, with broken concrete and not well maintained. I'm not saying to not go here - we got a cheap deal and it was a clean base for our holiday. But really clear that it's very much 1.5-2 star (not '2 star plus', as Jet2 stated)

And the staff all very friendly especially Michael who was an absolute star all holiday making drinks doing food and always smiling 😊. The hill up to the hotel is steep yes but we enjoyed walking down in the evening having tea out then just jumping in taxi back up for £8 euros easy. Pool area fantastic plenty of comfy sunbeds.

- Inspire16575799069 (10/5): Unspoilt, authentic, welcoming and in a fantastic location near the award winning beach of Platis Gialos - We are sat waiting for the coach and enjoying the lovely views of the sea from our balcony one last time. Our apt was spacious, clean and everything you’d expect from a 2*plus ie basic but we got what we paid for and more. The staff are welcoming and very helpful and the pool area is spotless and you can always get a sunbed. Toilets, showers and changing area are spotless. The hill is a little steep but no problem if you don’t have any mobility issues and the view is well worth it. We will definitely be back 10/10
- sandrawI8305YU (10/5): Amazing place to stay to relax - What can I say about this piece of paradise! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. Nothing is too much for Ornela and her team of staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. And the views are amazing. Pool area so relaxing and the bar has lots of options for drinks and snacks, all freshly cooked. If you want to escape to the beautiful Island of kefalonia the sunset paradise is the perfect place. Argostoil is a ten minute taxi ride, costing €10 the bar will order this for you. You can enjoy a cocktail while waiting for your taxi soaking up the spectacular sunset from the bar area. I would highly recommend. I will be coming back again in September for a week.

The pool was big and well maintained great for relaxing. The staff were polite and the whole place felt calm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful place to unwind
- simonlF3364CJ (8/5): Good choice and value for money - staff helpful and very hard working, rooms are cleaned daily, breakfast by the pool in the early morning sunshine is just amazing with the views over the hills, a real treat. The Greek yogurt is a real must for breakfast, also a car for getting around is essential. Reasonably priced with jet2 also. The restaurants serve fish platters and are amazing, and well priced to eat out in lassie too.
- Matildatiddles (6/5): The hill !! Be warned!! - We paid 1200 for a packaged holiday here . I wasn’t expecting anything fab as it was just to sleep and shower. Yes we stayed in the basement !!! The shower that was interesting my partner who is 6 ft well his head was higher than the shower hose. If you put the pressure on too much, you would flood the bathroom.. the hairdryer base wasn’t attached every time you dried yourhair it was very awkward all it needs doing is to be screwed to the wall the base and put the hairdryer in the base . When we arrived late in the evening, the owner was drunk and her sidekick. I didn’t find her friendly whatsoever. Micheal was really lovely Who works there. The owner really didn’t seem bothered about her guests. The Hill well in 37° heat. It’s a bit of a killer so beware so we hired a car. Would we stay there again having a look around? I think we could’ve found something better to spend our 1200 pound on.
- paulstephen38 (4/5): Music until 3am - A lovely hotel , our room was cleaned everyday we had room A1 , lovely sea views from our balcony and our other balcony directly faced the bar area. That’s where the good bits end. The owner likes to have her friends round and play music in the bar up to 3 am in the morning ! (No guests just her & her friends) we didn’t get much sleep on our weeks stay there , bass from the music is really audible through the walls & it’s impossible to sleep until it ends ,the jet 2 rep did have words with her and we had a decent sleep for only two nights out of our 7 night stay which is totally unacceptable when you go there to relax & kick back. The owner suggested to the jet2 rep that we could move rooms , so in other words the owner wasn’t prepared to stop her late night get togethers which is crazy for an owner to say pretty much sod you to the guests , we didn’t move as we thought why should we have to pack our cases and move from this great room & what about the next people who have to go in that room ? It wouldn’t solve the ongoing issue. Michael was a top guy and very apologetic and tried to sort the issue too but couldn’t . Needless to say we would not return to this hotel , the hill also is epic we had a car so didn’t actually walk up or down it , don’t think we could have managed in the heat we had while we were there I did video it and it took 2.40 mins to get up or down and that’s by car (see YouTube), Kefalonia is a beautiful place and we will be going back but sadly not to this hotel .
- okjimm (8/5): Lovely simple stay at sunset paradise!! - Sunset Paridise is a small , independent personal hotel, The rooms are simple but very clean, the shower is a bit small, and the hill up to the hotel is interesting! Walked it many times no issues!! But it has a great location, with a short drive from the airport, lassi is only 5 to 10 mins walk even with the hill ! The pool bar is great mythos with frosted glasses and high quality, freshly prepared food every time you order Nice views from the pool, only a 5 minute drive to Argostoli for more restaurants and turtles in the harbour! The beaches nearby are lovely, and the water is beautiful !! Great snorkelling and wakeboarding in the mornings !!! We hired a small car and traveled around to several places/ beaches,Fiskardo and Sami, really good days out !! The owner of the hotel was there every day helping out! occasionally working while his kids play in the pool !! Very family friendly!! And the cream on top of the hotel is Michael the bartender, chef, cleaner, entertainment and tourist information !! He is brilliant and very dedicated !! All in all a very different holiday to our normal all inclusive but loved Kefalonia !!! It is a beautiful island with very friendly people
- karolwJ4653IO (10/5): Fantastic holiday - Micheal who checks you in and runs the bar is amazing and made our holiday. He is very hard working and makes you feel very special. Room Basic but serves its purpose. Pool and bar Food and drinks a bit exspensive. Beer 4.40 Cider 6.50 and spirts 7.00. Pool area fantastic and very spacious. Supermarket There is one at the bottom of the hill which we found responsible and couple more further up on your right. Check in Please be aware that check in is 2pm. If your roo. Is not ready you can make use of the pool area. Have your swimwear and towels at hand just incase. There is a room tax of 15 euros and we paid 70 euros for the aircon for 10 nights. Transport As the hotel is on a steep hill alot of holiday makers were getting taxis. These are 8 euros. We hired a scooter and it was 270 euros for 9 days. The quad hire was approximately 480 euros for 9 days. We didn't check out the car hire but I think we were told it was around 50 euros a day. We had the best time and carnt wait to go back.

Views stunning however owner need to not have parties till 3am - First and foremost Michael who runs the bar/food and everything else in the day time is one of the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, he is an absolute gentleman who happens to cook amazing food ! He really does make this a holiday to remember. We had an amazing room with stunning views all clean and tidy. My reason for not giving it 5/5 is Pool area really does need some attention I last visited here 2 years ago and since then the sunbed covers have become very well used and also broken sun beds that are not replaced which on the odd accession the pool is busy there are not enough beds. Yes some tidying up around the general area wouldn’t go a miss but this did not effect our holiday. NOW FOR THE WORST THING … Our last night we were kept awake until 3am by the owner keeping the bar area open till 3am with music soo load that we could not get to sleep even after using ear plugs! Usually the bar closes at 10.30 but it seems a few guests wanted a party ! In the morning it became apparent that all of us staying on the top block were kept awake, such a shame on our last night. Lassi please be aware that their card machine does not work ever this means that when you arrive you will need cash to pay for your tax and the air con which for a 10 night stay will be around €100 in totality The hill is huge and we never walked up it, but be warned some taxis will not drop you back to the apartments as the road is too bumpy, in total we had 3 drivers refuse us. Would I visit again probably yes as Michael is amazing and the setting is beautiful.
- dawnw48 (8/5): Marvellous Michael - The only reason this holiday was so good is down to Michael and the two young ladies who are all lovely and very hard working. I honestly believe the place wouldn’t be there without them running it. They cannot do enough for you and make everyday a happy one. Whilst the place is spotlessly clean … thanks to the girls the whole place needs some Tender Loving Care from the management. There are weeds everywhere and broken items, it just looks shabby. The pool area is amazing with beautiful views, however it would be nice if an effort was made to clean the pool properly. Michael is left to do everything mostly all day, he does it brilliantly. Probably won’t return unless some updating was carried out.
- adiel2015 (10/5): Amazing place and staff - This is a beautiful place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Rooms are lovely and contain everything you need with some having fabulous sea views. Pool area is gorgeous as you are up the hill so you feel as if you are in the treetops. Michael runs the bar, food and check in at the bar and is the most amazing guy. He is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the area and also makes beautiful food, lot's of fun too. Two ladies that do the housekeeping keep your rooms and all of the pool and bar area immaculate everyday and they are lovely and friendly too. Local area is amazing and Michael has suggestions if you need to know anything while you are there. Beautiful , relaxing place to stay and we would definitely like to stay again x
- R_S_Ches (4/5): Never again - I stayed here last year and had a lovely stay - but this year felt completely different due to a few easily avoidable issues and the poor attitude of the staff. The room was a basement - which wasnt a problem initially until I noticed an awful smell coming from the corridoor outside my room (smelt like rotting sewage) luckily whatever this was it was cleaned on the second or third day. Not a great welcome though. The amount of mosquitos seemed unusually high even though I used plug-ins & repellant, plus kept all the windows/doors closed (only one had a proper mosquito net fixed). The hairdryer wasnt fixed to the wall which is pure lazyness (this meant the holder awkwardly dangled around whilst in use). One of the chair seats on the veranda was broken and if someone else in the building used a shower at the same time the water ran boiling hot with no pressure - then cold. The pillows smelt like musty sweat and were rock hard (I asked for another which was no better) also the blanket was stained. None of the tv channels worked but I wasn't really that bothered. On my second day I ordered a coffee at the bar (I work in hospitality so I'm always friendly to staff and happy to be on holiday) - the barman then proceeded to take make fun of me and speak rudely about me in Greek to the cleaning staff WHILST I was standing infront of him - untill he realised that I understand Greek due to the fact I lived and worked in Kefalonia in the past for 5 years! - I was given the coffee for free and he apologised but nothing warranted this behaviour, although I laughed it off and tried not to be offended it did leave me feeling quite uncomfortable and a little saddened. It must be amusing to him to speak badly about the guests when he thinks they cannot understand him perhaps? The only reason I've not given one star is due to the fact that aside from its issues, the room was clean & I had a nice holiday hiring a car and making the most of my time in Kefalonia. I work hard all year and save up to be able to enjoy a holiday once or twice a year, I dont expect anything spectacular - just to be able to have a comfortable and pleasant stay. This was neither unfortunately.

My room was very spacious and clean and the pool side was beautiful. Yes there is a hill but the bonus is panoramic views which are stunning.
- enersys (8/5): First time here xx - I am writing this on our last day here. I booked a suprise break for my daughter and I. The hotel is a 2 star (about right) and has everything you need. The rooms are spotlessly clean thanks to Boona, the cleaner. It has a fridge, cooker rings,toaster and air-con(pay extra).. The room was really quiet, so we had good nights sleep. We stopped in room B1 which was a 1 bedroom apartment facing the sea. The pool is a cold freshwater one which is clean with ample free sunbeds. There is a poolside bar which serves food during the day. Mikalis the waiter/cook is great. The only warning is:- it is an extremely steep hill you have to walk up to get there. NOT for someone with a back problem or disability.. Taxi was much easier.
- Trek38614818107 (10/5): Relaxing and friendly - Second time here, came last year too, yes the hill is a bit steep but then the view is lovely, Small friendly pool area always free sunbeds. Owner and staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. A nice walk down to the restaurants on the main road and a taxi back up the hill. If you have been to Greece before and like small and friendly, Sunset Paradise In Lassi, Kefalonia, is great, Soon booking for 2024
- Treemag (8/5): September getaway - Firstly, we booked and stayed in one of the apartments ( B1 ), but we saw the upset and anxiety felt by people who booked a studio and received a basement studio, I agree with previous comments that Jet2 should look at pricing, it can't be right that a basement studio with views of a wall or unkept garden should be paying the same as those on top floor with magnificent views. Negatives for us, included the gardens and around the pool area, they clearly hadn't seen a gardener or had any maintenance in months, tiny bathrooms, but it is Greece, having said that the shower was so small and the number of times I got wrapped in the curtain I began to think I was starring in a B Horror movie and would be stabbed in the back at any time. Positives for us were the staff in particular Vanya who was reception, chef and bar person, she was so helpful and friendly we loved her, Jon in the evening was great with his knowledge of the area, restaurants etc , breakfasts were good freshly cooked and reasonably priced, cold drinks were held in standalone fridges you help yourself and you get a frozen glass from the bar staff, also very reasonable. Our apartment was basic but suited our needs. The views were spectacular , it was lovely to sit with a coffee first thing and watch the boats go by. Won't bother with the hill it's already been covered in detail, but we did find it funny when a taxi refused the final stretch due to his suspension and charged us full fare. The pool area was fine , the pool was very cold, and some beds needed replacing it was the end of the season however, no need to get up the crack of dawn to reserve a bed as very quiet. All in all, we had a good stay, with a little vision and a few quid invested. This could be a great place to stay. Would we visit again? That would be a No.
- R_S_Ches (10/5): Hire car is a must! - I stayed at sunset late August in room 10A, the lack of view didn't bother me much as the only time I spent on my veranda was to drink my morning coffee. I read previous reviews and got a car delivered by greekstones (book early!) The hill is quite long and steep but was never a problem with the car! The room was lovely and clean, even had a plug-in for mozzies! The bathroom was small but completely adiquate (and quite the norm for a standard apartment in Greece). The pool area was lovely, again very clean! Vanya at the bar was lovely and the young lad in the evenings (didnt catch his name). I would definately stay again, I had a fabulous time travelling around the island, lassi is a great central base to stay with lots of beaches nearby.
- debbiep101 (2/5): Nightmare in Paradise - Beware of booking a stay here. Reviews I read about the hill being tough going were correct but that was the very least of the issues at this place. We went with my son and daughter in law and we were both given basement rooms. Ours did have a sea view but the grounds were unkempt and uncared for. After two nights we asked to be moved as the drains flooded constantly and the drain water was coming up through the bathroom floor. We all got a stomach bug which we cannot definitely say was connected and could well have been food poisoning but either way we were bedridden for two days and felt very ill. Whilst there our toilet broke as well as the shower head and the moldy shower curtain wrapped around us and the shower tray was blocked with other peoples grime so overflowed. The pool was ok but was very cold as was an unheated freshwater pool which was shaded for much of the day. There were very old and broken sun loungers with filthy padding and the whole place seemed unloved. I felt sorry for the staff who double as cleaners, bar tenders and cooks. Staff noted to cook in the same rubber gloves they use to handle cash! All in all I would never ever return to this place and Jet2 should in my opinion take it from their list or at least offer it as a one star and be honest about it. It's such a shame as this could be a lovely place with some basic updating and some TLC. I loved Kefalonia but not this hotel. This has been the worst place I have ever stayed in the Greek islands. I understand basic but there are some cleanliness standards that should be adhered to. Stay at your own risk!
- Bigbob22 (2/5): Basement - Some of the rooms do have striking sea views but if you book with jet 2 it's pot luck, yes we got one of the basement rooms A10, I was prepared for the hill as I had read the reviews and can rough it as far as the accommodation but thought the view would be worth it but when you get past the salmon pink walls the view is terrible, I don't know if the scaffolding covered in dead grapes is a garden view but you don't get a choice , I did speak to the rep but was told I should have read the reviews and this is what you get with a studio , these rooms should be half price, won't be back
- Kevin (6/5): - We did not see the property at its full potential due to Covid - there were only a few guests and the bar and restaurant was therefore shut. Had to walk down the steep hill for drinks, food etc which is a good 10 min walk - not too bad going, but hard work walking back
- Verified traveler (8/5): - „Küchenzeile „ ist sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, wirklich nur 2 Tassen 2 Teller 2 Gläser 2 Messer usw.
- Magdalena (8/5): POLECAM! - Hotel położony w urokliwym miejscu blisko do przepięknej plaży jak również do sklepików i samego centrum stolicy oraz lotniska. Gospodarze pomocni i uśmiechnięci. Zakwaterowali nas zaraz po przyjeździe szybko co było bardzo komfortowe ze względu na dzieci. Hotel godny polecenia i jeśli będziemy na Kefalonii z pewnością tam wrócimy.
