Guest Reviews
- Samuel (2/5): Screwed 3 times Wildwood, Cape May NJ in 4 years - Sucked ! Place was not opened for the season! Nobody was there! 3 times in Wildwood and Cape May NJ area got screwed by hotels one way or another. Will not use Hotels.com stop bothering me.
- Alberto (10/5): - It was amazing.. Tim was great and Dori as well .. I will go back
- Barbara (8/5): Great place to crash - Although it's no 5-star hotel, it was exactly what we were looking for. Staying in Cape May one night for a cycling event. This was the ONLY hotel that would give us a one-night stay. hotel was old-school, with some long-term residents. But -- it was quiet, and pretty clean. Facilities were older -- but I stayed there exactly 8 hours, so it didn't matter to me. Owners were super-nice and seemed like they took pride in their hotel!
- Bj (10/5): - Really clean, no frills, but would definitely stay again.
- August (8/5): Wonderful motel with friendly accomadations! - Even though this is an older motel, it is quite nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. There was a fairly large refrigerator and a microwave in the room. If I would say there is anything to improve, I would say two things - one, add more lights to the room, there was only one desk lamp in my room and two, get either a stronger wifi signal or add access points around the building.
- sal (6/5): Air condition sucked. Wife got bite by a spider in - Air conditioning sucked and wife got bit by a spider in bed
- Mary (8/5): Not Bad For The Price - This motel is just a short drive from downtown Cape May. The check-in /check-out process is quick and the staff are friendly. The building is a bit dated but our room was clean and included a mini fridge, microwave and TV. There was a loveseat, coffee table, dresser and desk along with the bed. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels and tiny bars of soap. (There is no hair dryer so bring your own.) The air conditioning works REALLY well and can get quite chilly. Although we did not check it out, there is a pool out front. The one drawback is that the bed was very uncomfortable (and creaky) and could definitely stand to be replaced. However, all-in-all, this motel is not bad for the price.
- Brian (8/5): - Nice and relaxing. Staff was very nice & helpful. Thank-you!
- gail (6/5): Very convenient - Very convenient to Cape may and wildwood. Could use some updating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Short stay - For the one night we spent there we found it was quite comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor condition, but friendly staff - Let me start by saying the staff is very nice. Unfortunately however, when you're looking for somewhere to rest your head there are many other factors that come into play. This motel is extremely outdated and needs a lot of work. Everything in the room looks like it was purchased in the 70's. The bed was thin and uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty, by my standards, as I found strands of hair on the wall and sink that weren't mine. The shower faucet wouldn't turn on all the way, so while I was showering the faucet on the bottom was pouring out. The water coming through the pipes smelled like rust and there were huge water stains in the tub. The hot water handle was coming out of the wall as well. The towels had holes in them and were paper thin. The best part about the room was the wall air conditioner that worked well.
All in all this motel is wayyy overpriced. This should be a $35-$40 a night rate, not $108.
- carol (2/5): cabin city no - The bed was uncomfortable and we barely slept. Noisy guests and very shabby.
- Tina (6/5): Good motel for the price - The motel is about 10-15 minute drive from Cape May Beach and Wildwoods. The motel and room was ok. The beds were a little uncomfortable, the AC made a whole lot of noise. The bed sheets had some noticeable stains on them. There was a smoke smell, even though the room was smoke-free. I think it was because when we checked in, the windows were opened and our neighbor was smoking closeby. I liked that they had a pool, towel service, however no lifeguard, especially with the deepest part of the pool being 9 ft. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful.
- px (2/5): Bring a tent - Stay here if there are no other rooms within 30 miles and you left you tent at home. Office staff was great. Hotel is 1960s. No updates since it was built. Reminds me of when I was younger and mom and pop motels were the norm.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not Again. - Staff was friendly. Room was dirty - bathroom, leaky faucet, stained carpet. Beds were uncomfortable and was afraid to sleep in it for fear of not being cleaned.
- Gabriel (6/5): - While the woman who welcomed us was incredibly, well, welcoming, the actual room was a bit suspect. My fiancée and I wore our flip-flops the entire time (especially in the shower) and the shower never really drained. Things weren't "dirty", but also didn't feel like they encouraged you to run up and touch them. Surprisingly, the smell of the room wasn't overwhelming as I had thought it would be being a smoking room.
- Taylor (8/5): No frills, 10 min to beaches, and dog-friendly - Great spot close to the beach. No frills, not super clean (if you are a clean freak you'll want to bring some disinfectant wipes!), but it's dog friendly and less than 10 minutes to sunset beach or the cape may city beach and downtown area. The proprietors were friendly, and the area felt safe. My main complaints are they don't offer any non-smoking rooms (I brought essential oils and a diffuser to purify the air in our room) and the Wifi didn't work. Otherwise, pretty good spot for the price.
- Nancy (8/5): a bargain in a town not known for bargains! - definitely old & needs a lot of updates, but overall very clean & conveniently located near cape may, great price compared to other hotels in the area.
- Alexandra (8/5): Beach Birthday - Just what we needed. I place to sleep that was near nearby festivities.
- Christopher (8/5): No Frills, but good nonethe less - If you want a no frills experience and only want the place to sleep in this was good for the money. It was clean the staff was friendly and it had a microwave and fridge. My only major complaint was that the wifi didn't seem to work in the room itself. It worked outside of the room. Otherwise, I liked it and it served our purpose.
