Guest Reviews
- Kim (2/5): - When I arrived I was told they weren’t associated with Expedia but could offer a discount on room, no tv, no restaurant and that evening a cockroach crawled across my tablet screen. There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom, the tin was filthy and a used razor in the soap dispenser. I called they told me they couldn’t change my room till morning. I turned all lights on in room to try to wait it out. The next morning I asked for my money back at first they didn’t want to give me back the day before but I insisted. Very disappointed in the hotel because I had stayed a few years earlier and I was wonderful. Never again
- John (2/5): - The Cleaning Lady was very nice. She worked the 2nd shift as night auditor. No Internet. No Cable Telivision . No Restaurant. No Bar. The Place had Crack Heads walking around. Was a very nice facility in years past. Foreigners bought and turned into a crappy place. Needs condemned.
- Cynthia (2/5): - They did not have my reservation when i arrived for check-in. So i feel thus fell on expedia.com
- Melissa (2/5): - They made me pay again after I paid through hotels.com. She said that they aren’t affiliated with hotels.com. I would like a refund please
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting - Awful - this place is filthy dirty and everything is disgusting - could smell a dead critter in the hallway - carpet was so dirty you had to wear shoes to keep your feet from sticking to it - cockroaches. Also was awakened hearing arguing at three am - opened door and it was the owners in the hallway - unbelievable. Don't stay here, the place needs shut down.
- Brenda (8/5): - The rooms were in good condition, recently redecorated; the bathroom was large with a new shower. Staff were friendly, and housekeeping left a lovely folded towel on the bed.
Unfortunately the indoor pool and hotub were in disrepair.
- Frank (10/5): - Shop
- Burns (2/5): - Did not get to check in. No one at reception. Had to call for attention. Could
Not accept credit card requested cash. I canceled and went down the road.
- Frank (10/5): - So fine3
- Shirley (2/5): - It was horrible outside. Air was not cool. Advertized a breakfast buffet, did not have it. Refused to honor the price quoted by Expedia. Advertised a pool, it was "broke".
- H Steve (2/5): - This place screwed me and my girlfriend out of our room without notice. Total pieces of ....!!
- Kathryn (10/5): - People nice, food good, was clean but beds, pillows need to be better.
- Richard (10/5): Amazing - It was amazing stay
- Roxcenna (4/5): - Cockroaches
- Judy (8/5): - Extremely small bathroom without ventilation. Walls had multiple chipped paint areas in need of repair.
- Brenda (8/5): - Nice people and it was quiet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Night mare - They say you get what you pay . Its has potential unfortunately the loud noises and parties people in and out all night and the traffuc is horrible once the sun goes down . People comimg and going on bicycles that wear back packs going to certain rooms in and out all through the night . Im sure you get my point of what was going on . I would not recommend this place for families and after dark stay in the room .
- Tiffany R (8/5): - Took 10 min for someone to come to the front desk to check us in, very odd
Room had a broken, non-functional deadbolt lock, felt unsafe.
All staff were friendly. Room clean overall. Beds creaked and squeaked awful, but were comfy enough.
- Kenny (2/5): - It was hot, moldy smelling, pools is closed for ever.
- Darcy (6/5): - It was a pleasant stay
- Lawrence (6/5): - Old. Slowly wasting away. Very uncomfortable beds.
- Linda (2/5): - It took us an hour to check in and an hour to check out. I was given the key to a room that was already occupied. The lighting was inadequate to read in bed. The facility is in disrepair, and someone near my room smoked to the point that I had to leave my room.
- Michael (8/5): - Emily, our waitress in the restaurant was one of the best we've had in the last 40 years. She is truly a delight.
- Amanda (4/5): - Well I didn't really like anything about it I mean the beds were comfortable that's about it but I picked the hotel cuz it said had a pool and then I go there to find out that it does not have a pool anymore and then I don't think I should have had to pay as much when my check-in was really late at night and I still had to pay for two whole days
- Frederick (8/5): - very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms
- Jim (6/5): - The building is an older structure so the carpets and rooms show signs of age. We were in the back part of the hotel (room 124) and we could not access the internet available closer to the front desk. The rooms smelled a little old with a faint wisp of smoke. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was well-lit and the shower was excellent.
- Sally (2/5): - Beds were so old they practically sunk to the floor. No chair in the room. We were on the second floor down a filthy hallway. We didn’t even stay the night in the room
- Sandra (2/5): STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK - Dont stay here. Should not be on Hotels.com. This place is not clean or kept well. Staff not very knowlegable of what is going on in this place. First we were given an outside room that did not exsist. Then they decided it was on this inside, that room was like a horror show. Walked into a blast heater running in a bare room, disgustingly dirty and being treated for bed bugs. (HENCE THE BLAST HEATER) When we did get another room (on the other side of motel) it was not as described in Hotel.com. Thin walls, could hear people next door, uncomfortable sqeaky beds, bathroom smelled like piss.
AND they have permanent live in tennants at this location. Felt ripped off and lied to. If we werent so beat from the long road trip we would have moved on.
It wouldnt even be a bargain at half the cost.
- Patricia (10/5): Motel is great restaurant Needs word - The Hotel was great with no problem. But the Restaurant portion was not great at all. Did not feel like they wanted to serve me, My food was not done like I ask. Would recommend you ate somewhere else. But I would go back. I really like the hotel staff.
- Jenny (10/5): - The property was clean and comfortable.
- Cate (2/5): - Hot tub hasn’t been in service for a while. Pool was disgusting. They have no lighting in the pool area so that you won’t see just how bad it is, but it’s bad. Sides of pool are brown. No chlorine or bleach in water. Rooms are dirty. Floors were badly stained. The building is very old.. they put their money into the restaurant and art center and left the hotel to go to hell sadly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Older motel - It was an older hotel. Had an outside entrance to the room. Would have preferred an inside room so we could have gone to the pool. Very cold that weekend so we weren't going to walk around to the pool. Other than that the room was clean the shoes were really wrinkled on the beds like they had not been folded just wadded up. We did not eat at the restaurant. we were in the area for a funeral.
- Robert (6/5): Updating Needed - The motel needs a lot of updating.
- Terence (8/5): Reunion - Air conditioner was an issue
Otherwise a good stay
- Kenneth (6/5): - reserved a king room and when we arrived were given a double queen. entered the room and the linens were a little messed up so we thought we'd entered someone else's room. returned to desk and he said bookings on line are not accurate and was no king available. I was uncomfortable with appearance of room I was being given. he did give us a very nice king room. I would recommend calling to book instead of booking on line.
- Fred (10/5): family trip - Hotel was nice. room was clean. check in was no problem. very quite location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were clean and nice. The restaurant served good food with good service. Overall had was a good experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was updated and renovated. Bathroom was in excellent condition. Nice owners. Had to leave but they gave us our money back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Always nice to come back to The Holiday.
- Andrea (10/5): Great place great people - Great place.great people
- Andrea (10/5): Ask for Bruce at The Holiday - Bruce was very nice
He assisted us with everything we needed
- Penny (8/5): On old gem that still shines with service. - The clerk on check-in was amazing!!! So helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay for a family funeral. The kitchen staff prepared food for our meal (for a fee of course) that eas tasty and fresh. The building is older but they are upgrading all the time. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I thought it strange for the front desk employee to be sitting outside with 2 others the entire time I was gone doing shopping from dusk to dark.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Not bad
- Lucinda (8/5): Best Bathroom - The office staff that checked me in was cold and acted very irritated. However, check in was fast and easy. The room was very clean and quite quiet. We had an inside room so it was on the dark side - which did not bother us at all. The bathroom was fabulous. Lots of room and, I would have to say the best shower setup I have ever come across. I would definitely stay here again.
Note: beds were on the soft (sink in) side.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We've stayed here numerous times over the last 30 years and this was disappointing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean but dreary having no outside window. It felt like sleeping in a cave.
- Mark (10/5): - Good, clean and friends service.
- Mary (8/5): Comfortable and accommodating - Room was comfortable could have used more lighting in hallways.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was friendly and the room was very clean.
- GD (8/5): - Comfortable and convenient
- JC (8/5): - For a small town it suited our needs for the weekend. Nice bathrooms, and decent rooms. I’d stay there again.
- Robert (8/5): ice enough place for a night off. - I stay here often. Some of the rooms have been redone and are quite nice. The pool area is datk and could use a clean up.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice clean rooms, a little dated but friendly staff and excellent food 4th or 5th stay, always good.
