Guest Reviews
- Deborah (5/5): It was ok thankfully just a couple of nights but won’t stay again - The room was clean Too noisy. Right along the main road and I was given a room right in front. Did not sleep well. The pillows were useless
- Melanie (10/5): - Spacious room with kitchenette and Hot shower No staff on site during the entire stay
- Griffin (6/5): Nicely decorated and good location, jacuzzi tone was filthy. - Completely contactless check in an check out.
Nicely decorated room. The main reason we booked it was for the jacuzzi tub, which had clearly not been maintained in a long time. We ran it more than 10 times trying to clear out the black junk and things floating in the tub. It was very disappointing that it was not clean.
- Jessica (8/5): - Very cozy, nice area Remodeling in the next unit @ 8am
- Kristy (7/5): -
- Charlize (7/5): -
- Ana Lucia (8/5): Comfy and convenient - It was very nice and comfortable, a great location, the kitchenette was nice too. The beds were nice and big and the price was great! We went on a short impromptu skiing trip and this place was great for that! The staff was not very communicative, all of my messages went unanswered, we couldn’t find the WiFi password. Other than that it was great!
- Caddo (1/5): Was not happy at all with person how gave us key, very rude - Close to Casino Name is Timber Lodge nothing Timber about it.
- Richard (8/5): -
- H Wayne (7/5): Strange. I have never stayed at a hotel/motel where there was no one in the office. You had to cal - No breakfast. Location okay, a little out of town. Nobody around at office. I found the manager when she was putting toilet paper in the room. Another guest had to wait a couple of hours for someone to show up and put them in a room. No one was there to check out. The room was clean, new, and okay. the beds were on metal stands like you would find in a military barracks. Noisy at night.
- Deborah (4/5): Not great. Will not return. - The shower worked well.
The location was good. Bed was uncomfortable.
Not as clean as it should have been.
Surprise smoking designation sign in front of room.
TV not working properly.
- Catherine (10/5): - The room was very spacious. The kitchenette was more than expected, large fridge, dishware & pots and pans included. Bed was very comfortable.
- Arethea (8/5): -
- David (10/5): - The location was great The beds were uncomfortable and squeaky
- Jarod (10/5): -
- David (1/5): - What breakfast??? No service, no staff, they sent construction crew to see, black widows in the bathroom, called 3 times Noone ever showed up, what a joke this company is.Too bad cause we liked Pinetop
- Kourtney (9/5): Great communication with staff, cleanliness of room & very comfortable stay - How they actually have a mini kitchen & a gorgeous shower. Power went out for a millisecond & called they got it back on within 20ish minutes after calling. Nothing bad but it does happen. Reba helped out a lot. I gave only a 9 review because of the lighting issues.
- Jacob (10/5): -
- Tammy (10/5): -
- Darielle (5/5): I reached out to the assigned butler asking for more towels and never got a response - The nature of the location The floor was sticky and made my socks dirty upon arrival. Also the bathroom was gross however the shower and liner were worse!! I think the person before peed on the shower liner so that’s all I was smelling when I was in the bathroom and I noticed that from bringing the liner in the shower with me.
- Deckman (1/5): -
- Hector (10/5): - The area great location
- Nicole (10/5): - Loved having the kitchenette! Room was spacious and also enjoyed having the extra table. The place was clean and beds were comfortable! Prerty kuch lived thebwhole thing, but if i have to point out a negative, I'd say only issue was the specific room we were in was facing the highway. Could be a little loud with traffic, but nothing that kept us up at night or was disturbing in any real way.
- cliff (9/5): -
- Griffith (8/5): - The room was comfortable and we'll appointed. The contactless check-in was convenient. The water pressure wasn't great.
- Christina (9/5): Excellent place to stay for a relaxing, no fuss, stay. - Very nice room, looks like it was recently renovated. Very nice ambiance on the whole property. I liked that there was only one level and a back door out to a courtyard. Definitely the best place I've stayed at so far in Pinetop-Lakeside, especially if you just want to relax and don't care about the property having a bunch of amenities. There were a few minor things that need to be fixed (broken porch light, broken ironing board) and I had a hard time getting into the room late at night. But very minor things that when fixed would make this a perfect place.
- Michael (1/5): - Room was good Bed
Outside facilities didn't exsist
- Mauricio (10/5): - Loved the beds, super comfy!
- Sylvania (10/5): - Kitchenette. And spacious! Parking... too narrow
- AuntieLUU (6/5): No kitchenette - The room was very clean and updated—Pictures show a full kitchenette with table and chairs—so we brought food to make small meals—we had a microwave—small coffee maker—toaster & small fridge—no cooktop—no table or chairs to sit—inside our out—we were disappointed—no live person on site to handle issues—you call a phone number—not what we expected—we would not stay here again
- Kathy (8/5): Timberlodge Inn: The great escape from Phoenix - The room was very nice with modern furniture and decor. The kitchenette was stocked full with dishes, pots & pans , silverware.
The king bed was comfortable and the room also had a loveseat comfy couch , table & 2 chairs and a comfy additional chair.
This location is surrounded by lots of beautiful pine trees. It was very quiet most of our stay. There are no staff on site. We never saw a housekeeper to get fresh towels or more coffee for our second day.
Timberlodge Inn sits next to a short term rental apartment complex. The first night we arrived there was a very loud verbal fighting taking place between 3 adults that was escallating to the point we were getting concerned. Our second night was very peaceful.
- Mike & Trisha (10/5): We always stay here when we are in town! Thank you for having us! - I like the remodeling. It looks fresh and clean. I cant think of anything that was wrong.
- Jeanette (8/5): We would recommend it. - Location and ease of access. It was clean and a good place to stay. Although we didn’t use it, there is a kitchenette and the unit was recently remodeled. For us, we felt like there was no privacy to leave window shades open to enjoy daylight and views. There was also construction going on starting around 8 am.
- Al (10/5): -
- Katie (10/5): Wonderful pet friendly!! - I stayed in the pet friendly Queen suite. It was one of the best rooms I’ve stayed in with my dogs. Full kitchen facilities, luxurious bathroom, comfortable beds, clean clean clean. Very near to hiking trails, restaurants, whatever you need. I stayed for two nights and tried to stay for a third. I absolutely loved this stay. It seems they are remodeling rooms one at a time. So very few people were staying at the hotel. Perhaps the construction crew is living in a section of the hotel in the back area. Communication was nonexistent. If you stay here, make sure you read your emails because that is the only way you will know how to get into your room or what the expectations are. I texted and I emailed asking if I could stay an extra night and received no response. It seems all communication is via AI? I don’t know that for sure but I did not feel like I had any contact with human beings. Other than that fantastic stay.
- Sarah (9/5): Very good stay. - Very clean. Quiet. Easy check in. Centrally located -walking distance to shops and restaurants.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - TV volume did not work
- Debra (9/5): Superb -
- Dolores (8/5): Very good -
- Adelina (10/5): Place was very clean. Loved that you didn't need a card key. Convenient location. Cozy place - No breakfast provided but place had a small kitchenette very useful and frig good size to buy and store some groceries. Since covid all motels/hotels towels are now needed to be requested when needed and toiletries. When busy it's the last thing on your mind to ask for. It was nice before when clean towels were provided every day.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Hector (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melinda (8/5): Comfortable but ignored. Had to ask others there how to get in. Neighbors seemed to be freebies, - Not meeting staff/owners, no availability of internet, no ideas or directions provided.
- Donna (10/5): Liked the barn door that separated the bedroom from bathroom.. kitchenette was a huge plus. They di. - Office was never open, had to hunt down people to get set of towels- and only able to get 2 fresh towels for a 6 night stay ...they do not give services of any kind. Everything was done over the phone if one could get through! Room was clean, parking was weird. Several cars being worked on in the back it's a mix property of residence and rooms for travelers to rent . Didn't like the office was never open and they don't offer fresh towels or least a sheet change once out of 6 nights stay.
- Christine (8/5): Great location in Pinetop AZ -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (9/5): Excellent stay - Redesigned rooms were lovely and clean. Bed was a little uncomfortable.
- Judith (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glantz (5/5): Passable -
- Gilbert (1/5): Bad -
- Sylvia (10/5): - The staff here were nice and the area is beautiful. This was the best choice me and my friends made for our last minute booking.
- Camille (8/5): Very good -
- Yvette (9/5): Great - I liked our room 4K which had a small full refrigerator. I would suggest however that if you're offering facilities to cook, we would need dish towels and dish cloths to wash dishes, and a fry pan bigger than the small one that you offer
- kathy (10/5): - everything was great
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (8/5): Very good - Really updated, super cute decorations. Nice shower. Great location. Bed was alittle hard.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (10/5): Absolutely book ...its great. - Super attentive and friendly hist and staff. Clean and comfy .
It could use a trash in the bathroom, two extra towels , a kitchen towel, and blankets.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (10/5): - Going to come back
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Great Stay - My boyfriend and i stopped here on our road trip for 2 nights the room was excellent super clean and very spacious. They have everything you might need the receptionist was very friendly we will definitely be back.
- Vanessa L (10/5): - Very nice, clean, and updated.
- Duaine (8/5): Very good -
- Mattea (10/5): - Favorite part was the jetted tub!!
- Norman (10/5): - I would recommend Timberlodge to anyone and I already have. It far exceeded my expectations and was an enjoyable stay.
- Yvette (9/5): Really enjoyed the stay and will be definitely be back again!! - The room was spacious, bed comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved that the property accepts pets. We had a room with the kitchenette and it was nice to be able to cook breakfast before venturing out. Room#9, The top three dresser drawers would not open. We had a power outage in the room after using my hair dryer, but it was restored quickly by staff.
- Lawrence (10/5): NICE - Was a REALLY beautiful room for price, quiet, comfortable!!! Even had a kitchenette!!
- Quinn (10/5): Exceptional - The room was awesome the spa tub was amazing
- Tara (10/5): - So cute, clean, and cozy! I loved having a little kitchenette for snacks and drinks! The beds were comfortable and the room looked freshly cleaned. We will be back and will be sure to refer it to others!
- KRISTEN (10/5): - We love the room we stayed in: the king suite with a fireplace and jetted bathtub. The staff is wonderful and the property is kept well. Nice and quiet place to relax among the pines! We will be back to stay every time we come to Pinetop!
- william (10/5): - Great place for a weekend getaway.
The gal at the front desk was very helpful and made sure everything was perfect.
Thank yiu
- Vedrana (9/5): Superb -
- Corina (8/5): Eh... - I booked the suite that has a water jet tub and when I arrived I was informed my room was changed to another suite but with out the tub. Was there a price difference, maybe?? The water pressure wasnt as hard and the restroom sink water was very low. The room was comfy amd clean so I'll give them that. Will I stay there again, maybe not.
- Ferhat Can (6/5): - Check in time was on 4 pm, we arrived to the hotel at 4.30 and our room was terrible!! It wasn’t cleaned and I was shocked! The women at lobby told us that they couldn’t clean our room, so they changed it but forgot to tell us… Then they wanted us to wait 15 mins for our new room, we waited 40 mins… Eventually we entered our new room but it wasn’t really clean too… We stayed there for 2 nights but I couldn’t sleep. Very dissapointing.
- Sergio (10/5): Nice place to stay. - Very nice and clean.
The check-in process was smooth and fast.
And the person in charge was very courteous and friendly.
- Lauren (10/5): - Bed was comfortable and the room exceeded our expectations!!!
- John (10/5): - I had to stay there previous year for Thanksgiving and 10 down staying there next Thanksgiving
- Tam (3/5): Poor -
- Brenna (10/5): - The woman who greeted us upon arrival (I’m assuming the owner?) had a baby with her and was STILL so attentive and helpful. She was thorough and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall this was such a cute stay, we will be back.
- ronald (4/5): - room was not as advertised. interior suffered from lack of lighting. construction/remodeling in progress
- Marcin (6/5): - Got there during a little construction, our room was dirty and not ready for guests. There was few other cons.
- Jeffery (8/5): Will stay again - Rooms are clean/comfortable/ keyless access Distance to our event venue
- ELLEN (8/5): - LIKES: It was a very roomy room, very clean and all the little amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The setting was very nice too with plenty of walking areas.
DISLIKE: It didnt have a dresser or a luggage rack so had to live out of suitcases on the floor. For a kitchetnette, 1 small table when there was plenty of room for another or a bigger table.
- Andrew (10/5): - Easy going, clean, quiet, and best part pet friendly. I have no complaints on my stay, would return.
- Larry (10/5): This was a well kept facility and I would stay there again - Very clean and in good condition It would have been nice to have a restaurant on site.
- Traysi (8/5): - This was a great property for a weekend in the pines. Our room had 2 queen beds and a small kitchenette area with sink, small dorm size refrigerator, 2 burner stove top and microwave. The only downfall was the A/C unit. It's cooling ability was dismal. The outdoor sitting area off each room was pleasant and the community fire ring with gas grill was a plus. We would stay here again.
- Philip (10/5): Lovely And Cozy Rooms - Our room was amazing! Very clean and very updated decor. We had a small kitchen, beautiful bathroom with new tile and a huge shower, closet, new flooring, very comfortable bed and bedding. Also a cute little porch with a small table set.
It's close to great restaurants and stores.
We will definitely stay here again!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Staed here in past years and love the property and location to services
- Ralph (10/5): - The price is right. Nice remodel. Thanks
- Verified traveler (6/5): Customer Service is terrible - The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. There is a small cooktop in the room along with the microwave and refrigerator so you can cook your meals there. They also provide pots, pans and dishes so that is really nice. My issue is they over charged me by about $95.00 and the "owner" will NOT return a phone call. I have called no less than 8 times and I went into the office twice while I was there. The gal in the office is nice enough when she is there, but does not seem to have any authority to correct my bill. Just keeps telling me she will have the owner call. Which never happens. I have been waiting a week now and still no call. I finally disputed it with my credit card company so hopefully they can get it taken care of. Also the parking is very tight so if you have a large vehicle be ready to squeeze in!
- Tom (10/5): - it was great
- Ernest (10/5): Family Vacation - We loved this place. The location was a short drive to the hiking trails. Being surrounded by pine trees gave the feeling of a cabin in the woods. We enjoyed eating and reading on the patio. When we need towels the office promptly brought them to our room.
- Shalimar (8/5): Cute! - The staff was super friendly and helpful any time we needed anything. The lodge is in the process of renovations, we ended up with one of the older not-yet-renovation rooms. It was nice, but could tell it was older. My three friends ended up in two of the newer rooms and they were great! The rooms were clean and I love that they didn't try to clean the rooms and do the laundry daily. There was a nice fit pit and BBQ area out back which we used a few times. It was a nice place to hang out with my friends and relax. Would probably stay here again!
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Terra (10/5): - Some of the units are getting upgraded, fortunately a friend had one of the updated units, which allowed us to make omelets for breakfast! It was so relaxing that we also chose to grill dinner instead of going to a restaurant too. All the amenities were there to make it a very chill relaxing stay with friends.
The rooms were clean, spacious and relaxing. I really enjoyed that there were two doors...a front door and the back that goes out to the firepit, seating, grilling area. It was great to sit back and chat over the fire, grill up some steaks and laugh with friends.
- wam3 (10/5): Great place to stay - Arrived 10pm without a reservation. Anita welcomed me, suggested the Jacuzzi Suite and walked me to my room. I was expecting quaint, rustic and dated--I was wrong. Rooms are gorgeous and large, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker/coffee, great wifi and water pressure. The jacuzzi is huge and was a welcome end to a long day on the road.
Anita is a warm, welcoming host and pointed me in the direction of great coffee, a car wash, and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
I decided to stay a second day, which necessitated a room change. Anita moved me to the room next door (a double), so that was quite easy.
Great location with lots to see and do in the area.
Thanks Anita, it was great meeting you!
- Brenda (5/5): It was what expected for the price - The manager was nice TV was a pain to use and tub was extremely slippery! Nearly fell twice!
- Scott (10/5): - We loved staying here! The rooms were so clean and very comfortable. The beds are fantastic. Very nice place to spend a few days. We will be back and that’s where we will stay every time now.
