Hotel does not have a hot tub, only a pool. Breakfast was okay...coffee could be better. Beds are really hard.

- Pamela (4/5): won’t return to this hotel. - The bathroom was dirty. The shower nozzle to adjust temperature in shower was broke- very difficult to adjust, nozzle just kept turning! There wasn’t water anywhere! No jug, pitcher nothing! Other people staying there was old and inconsiderate slamming doors even after midnight. The shower nozzle in shower was broke, the water temperature couldn’t stay consistent. terrible location the noise of other guest was terrible. doors slamming all night.
- Bryan (7/5): Good location - decent value - The king suite was spacious with ample area for storage. The seating area had a sofa bed with coffee table, which was nice and comfortable. Also a 2-person dining table with chairs. A wet bar, microwave and mini fridge was perfect for our stay. Bathroom was overall clean, though it had a lingering odor of smoke maybe? Its not something I noticed on the first night, but definitely the second night. This is a non-smoking room of course, so someone did it along the way. Check in took 10+ minutes with only 2 people ahead of me. Apparently, the person had an issue with their credit card and finally stepped aside so they could check someone else in after at least 5 minutes of trying. There was a guy who kept popping out of the back eating something but never offered to help someone. This left a negative impression of the management here. If it weren't for the polite front desk lady who apologized for the wait, I would have said something to her about the (manager?) for not helping her out. Outside of the hotel's control was traffic noises. At times, it sounded like a motor speedway out there. Lots of muscle cars in Detroit, and they let you know it too. Of course, expect to hear sirens all night, especially weekends.

Rooms could definitely use a little more attention when cleaning, a magic eraser to the walls would go a long way. There was a foreign subject on the curtains. Bathrooms do not have vents, and it’s basically a sauna once you get out.

I have a mold sensitivity and had to turn the AC off even though it was 80 degrees out because the moldy mildew smell was greatly aggravating my health and sinuses. Stains on the walls, finger nail clippings around the trash can in our room when we checked in. Hair on the sheets. (I bring my own). If I had known this is the type of hotel that charges a $150 hold on your cc on top of the room charge instead of just keeping it on file that would have been an indication of the type of place this is. The 2 forms you have to sign upon check in about not being allowed guest in the room or who can use the pool were also indicators of the type of place this is. Oh and the police showed up after the fire alarm went off in one of the rooms for over an hour early Monday morning. Don't stay here

- Yosef (2/5): - Had to wait 15 mins for someone at the front desk to serve me. When I went upstairs the key wouldn’t work. I told the front desk and he said our key machine is broken. I said how are we going to get in and out of this room he said, “I’m sitting by the front desk”. The mini fridge wasn’t working, I had goods that almost spoilt because of it. The bed sheets also smelt really bad too. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

- 561laurim (10/5): Super Short Stay - We arrived after midnight due to having a flight cancelled. The young lady and young man at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Since our luggage didn’t arrive in Detroit with us, they gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste. The young lady also helped us print out our tickets for the Henry Ford Museum which were sitting in my luggage in Dallas. The room was very clean, the bed and pillow were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean as well. The free breakfast was very good with cheese omelets, sausages, and cinnamon rolls. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

That's right, the floor. These people are rude and the general condition of the hotel is not good. Towel bars falling off the wall, no room cleaning or change of linens between multiple night stays. Maintenance guy randomly walked into the room unannounced and univited. Bad experience all around. Avoid this place.

Breakfast lady was always happy and smiling. Replaced items promptly. I dream about those cinnamon rolls when I am at home ;-) Location is great but noisy from road noise. Two main roads near hotel, so just put fan on high and bring a noise cancelling machine. Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Excellent stay !!
- Dominick (6/5): Basic and adequate - Spent three nights at this location. The bed was comfortable and the location worked well, just off of Michigan Avenue and telegraph Road, but the overall experience was very average. The front desk personnel weren’t always helpful, one night my room key wouldn’t work and I had yo find management with a master key and the breakfast was decent on one occasion and subpar on the other. On the third morning, I skipped it and went out to breakfast myself. Overall, Very basic but adequate.
- ROBERT (2/5): - When I booked, I had chosen to pay when I arrived. Between the time we reserved and when we arrived, we had to cancel our original CC and get a new one. I was expecting to just pay with our new card when we got there. However, when we arrived, I found they had earlier in the day run our card and then canceled our reservation because that card was not good. They did not call us, they did not text just, they did not email us, they just canceled. Why run the card before we even get there? They went on to say they were all booked up so they could not honor the original quote but could book us for over twice the original price. How can you be booked up but be able to offer a room at over twice the price? Sounds like a scam to force people into more costly rooms when they start filling up. During the clerk's conversation with the manager, it was clear they had done this to several other people just that day. Needless to say, we did not stay there.

They offered me a different room after couple of hours of complains. Had to go down to front desk personally as they must be busy and did not pick up the phone! The replacement room they offered had very bad odour ,it became really storng when we turned ON the heater. Kids started snizzing! I had to open the window! ( it was a bit cold out side!) The room service offered me to change room again at midnight!! Which I declined as I had no enerfy to move again with kids and alk luggage! The hotel refused to do any refund and hotels.com only did $50 coupon! I had paid around 300 for the room. It was a wate of money and a terrible experience!

On the positives the staff were excellent, the breakfast was good and well stocked, the bed was comfortable. However the room was beat up. Marks all over the walls, peeling paint, worn out carpet, beat up furnishings. At first I couldn't tell if it was dirty or just looked dirty because of the poor condition but on closer inspection it was kinda dirty in the room. I am by no means super judgy about this so if I noticed it's not good. The lobby and community areas did appear cleaner. The hotel was also very loud. There were what appeared to be kids sports teams in the hotel lacking any adult supervision. They were beating on the service bell at the desk, yelling and running around. Finally around 1 am an adult came and got them. I got the impression teams come to this hotel a lot and act up. The security deposit on the credit card was double what it is at other hotels I have stayed at and the clerk indicated the kids trashing the rooms is why they put that in place. It doesn't list this on the room amenities but the room did have a microwave.

- Shaymaa (1/5): Bad - We booked this hotel from 4/4-4/13, its been 3 days and weve been experiencing multiple issues that they havent accomidated at ALL whatsoever despite our constant complain about the smell of weed everywhere and noisy neighbours upstairs. On 4/7 they cut off the water from 11am-5pm and we woke up today with the water still shut off receieving no warning or a heads up from any of the staff or managers. Weve been trying to get a refund for the rest of our stay, weve moved hotels and they didnt offer to accomidate us nor refund us. The excuse was “the manager is not here” and this is “out of their reach” to refund me my money. We flew here from los angeles to visit family and they made this experience so inconvenient and horrible. Do not book with them unless you want your trip to be miserable. Wish they had a 0 star option so unfortunately i went with one star.

- Ron (2/5): - I had to fix the toilet 2x Room service came in took some towels from the bathroom and didn’t replace them. The garbage cans were not emptied. People running in the hallway, loud, this was after 10:00 The breakfast was gone at 07:30am This was the first and last time I use a Holiday Inn express.
