Unprofessional, rude and frustrated behaviour... Previously the gave a me a room smelling strong chemicals and acted like the problem never existed
- Timothy (7/5): You get what you pay for! It's not the Ritz but it's safe, warm and dry! - It's usually a fair price. You get what you pay for. It's very convenient for the station and local shops. It's usually reasonably quiet inside. Rooms are cleaned quite well and are generally cosy. Decor and furniture are definitely dated, carpets need replacing and some of the plumbing in some of the rooms isn't good. Fire doors in the corridors don't always close quietly. It's not a purpose-built hotel so some of the rooms are odd and rarely spacious...but again, you get what you pay for.

- Stanciu (1/5): Need to make additional fees visible before purchasing at the rate shown in the app - Nothing, as i did not even get to check in because they asked me for £100 additional charge over the booking fee which was not mentioned before paying the original amount shown in the app They asked me for an additional £100 fee over the original price shown in the app.

- Wallbank (1/5): RIP off - Nothing after booking the hotel we got the train to the hotel to only be told when we arrived that it's a extra 100 holding deposit although they pointed out it's at the end of the info on booking.com it is all the way at the end in small print this should be made clear in the price Asked for money to be returned and it never was
- Kelvin (2/5): Very poor, constant loud banging, no privacy, room attendants making alot of noise and came early - nothing much. Positioning of the power sockets Pretty much everything.

- Samiha (7/5): - The location was very close to the Ilford train station which was a huge convenience. There are also lots of restaurants close by. The pillows were so flat, literally non existent. We requested extra pillows after the first night. They forgot to provide us on the second night. And we only got them for our final night after another request.
- Mihaelq (10/5): - 🙏🙏🙏
- Moin (1/5): An exhausting, disrespectful, and completely mismanaged stay that turned one night into a nightmare - The location of the property is good
its all over clean One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
I arrived late after a long, exhausting day of meetings across London. It was raining heavily, and both my wife and I were extremely tired. Despite visible parking spaces on the hotel driveway, the receptionist refused parking rudely and provided no help with street parking information.
I was sent outside multiple times in the rain to figure out paid parking myself. After that, I was told the room I booked at Lucky 8 Hotel was not available—without any prior notice. I was forced to walk 7–8 minutes in heavy rain with all my luggage to two different properties, rejecting the first due to extremely poor conditions.
Even after accepting a room, I was made to walk back again to the original hotel to complete paperwork and pay a £100 deposit, then walk back once more. I finally got access to the room at 12:43 a.m.
To make matters worse, at 7:00 a.m., the receptionist Marius knocked on my door and demanded I move my car because someone else needed the parking.
Total lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic hospitality. Absolutely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Ayaz (5/5): - The broadband connection was poor, making it impossible to do anything online.
Due to poor broadband, I couldn’t do anything on the internet.
- Hamad (1/5): I wish i booked another hotel. Because the male receptionist was too rude. - Nothing at all. The receptionist was so rude and he didn’t even know how to talk with the customers. I really don’t recommend it everybody to visit here in this Hotel and the room was too messy and stinky.
- ION RARES (4/5): -
- Safiyyah (5/5): -
- simpson (1/5): Awful living nightmare - I like nothing about this place , the place really needs some renovations the photo of rooms online was very deceiving nothing like what you saw online Dirty sheets with blood ,outdated room broken furniture stinking smell and the constant noise of slamming doors
- Titus (7/5): -
- Marinela (7/5): Business - Staff ok Lots of noise, slammed doors, crying children. ....
- ELIZABETH (3/5): It was not the best of experience. - We had to buy food and had the food in a common room in spite of the fact that they had a kitchenette. For the location, it was perfect. The hospitality was zero
The staff were not courteous. They will not greet guests warmly and would not answer greetings
The hotel mgt removed the visitors chair from the reception.
The hotel was not children friendly.
Poor internet service.
No intercoms in the rooms
No hangers in the wardrobe
No effective communication with guests.
Relocating guests without prior information or notice.

- Richard (1/5): Crap - Nothing Fist of all, we chose the accomodation for the location as it is situated near the tube station for easy access to London as my partner has a knee injury. We arrived at the 3 star hotel and was directed to their sister hotel , a five minute drive away. On arriving, at the 2 star hotel, we was greeted by the reception staff and a security guard. On the right hand side of the reception was a room full of kid’s buggies and pushchairs hinting to me that this was a halfway accommodation. We was then escorted by the security guard and taken to our room. Although it was clean it was dated and the bathroom was small and cramped. Beds were uncomfortable and we only had one pillow. During the night there was constant noise and banging off doors. We were booked for 2 nights but handed the key back but only stayed the one night. Not happy and will never stay here again

- Ngwadi (7/5): - There is nothing to add. I just I appreciate and can recommend a friend and family The room is very clean
- David (1/5): I would say NOTHING for now - Not at all You took my money, claiming you are holding it and would be refunded; it’s two weeks now and you haven’t refunded it
- Amy (7/5): -
- memhrey (1/5): - The don’t return my dispose 100 pound three day
- Anoop (9/5): Good - All good No water for drinking

- Taramatee (6/5): The hotel was clean for sure and staff is good but the quality needs to improve. - The staff are nice. The shower is not good at all. No water pressure as if I was having a shower under a tap.
The pillow was very small in thickness as if baby pillow and I did requested another one that I didn’t get. Even the duvet cover is for summer. In winter we don’t use very thin one.

- Samuel (9/5): Pleasant stay. Good value for money - Friendly and helpful staff.
- Cojocaru (4/5): -
- Diane Maynard (8/5): Lucky 8 Stay - Friendly staff on arrival and helpful with items requested and directions for my travel. Kettle in room needed descaling (luckily brought my own), tea/coffee in room, no milk or teaspoon provided.
- 704stelat (10/5): I had a Lovely stay in Lucky 8 Hotel - I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The location is perfect only a minute from the station and it was very quiet at all times. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely stay here again!
- Sohni (2/5): I am extremely unhappy with my stay and wished I had just booked somewhere else - Was confusing as who I booked with was not where I stayed - had to walk to the location. Staff did not communicate well and I was asked the same things over and over again. The smell in the room was awful, the noise in the room from a heater was so loud and made it difficult to sleep. I could hear the people upstairs moving around all night and this also made it hard to sleep.
- Mary (5/5): - The bathroom was quite nice but shower cubicle needed a non slip mat as it got really slippy when having a shower. The location was good , near train station and the shops . For the price we paid I suppose it was fair however I would upgrade next time if I stayed here again as I felt the room was not very comfortable . There was a burn mark on the carpet, the wardrobe was lopsided and the bed very uncomfortable.
- Carmel (1/5): -
- G3548ZWmartinw (2/5): Not good - Refused hotel room , no physical card to secure a deposit, this hotel is behind on times it should facilitate Apple / Samsung pay, I had no choice but to book elsewhere, terrible service.
