- keith (2/5): Overall ok but update your issues - Check in was late due to room not being fully cleaned by check in time. Pool was not working. The following morning prior to check out, pool was still not working, but front desk said it was ok to use. The water was a nasty dark green with a gross scummy foam covering the top of water. Front desk wouldn’t do anything about adjusting price or discount.

- Gayle (8/5): Nice hotel for a family vacation - Overall, the hotel was good and comfortable. The only creamer at breakfast was a Coffeemate creamer product that had sugar in it! Thus, it was not possible to have coffee with just cream (but no sugar). Who decided that this was a good idea? Morning coffee is a great thing on vacation, and I was unable to have this as a result (yes, we asked and no, an acceptable alternative was not available). Otherwise, the breakfast was fine.

Breakfast had something to be desired Saturday morning, ran out of food, and coffee. The food that was there was cold. Only one person trying to take care of everything. Sunday was much better.
- 106dreap (4/5): Good to Bad - [This is a honest review ] I got two suites ....one standard and the larger suite on June 23rd and checkout on June 24th . The bigger suite a/c did not work properly and the freezer as well . And the standard suite was good ....well so I thought , we are being accused of breaking a piece of furniture but before we left we did a video and showed them but they refused to believe us . I'm going to make this a simple review and let everyone know too do a before and after video and pictures at the staybridge suite hotel in Dearborn but then again they can still charged you're card even without actual factual proof .

- Jessica (4/5): - Air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived at 10pm. The front desk was able to move us to two rooms (5 people) which resolved the temperature problem but the condition of one of them was not great, fire safety door latch didn’t close properly. It’s renovated, but still reminds you of an aging hotel. Breakfast was lacking, no sausage or potatoes were available at 8am, needs better staffing to keep the common area clean (elevator, hallways smelled of strong cooking smells). Pablo at the front desk was friendly and responsive to our temperature issue when we called. Beds were comfortable and we slept well after the move but it was disappointing to be separated. I never leave reviews but the management should work on their property to make it comparable to similarly priced hotels.

- Sierra (4/5): Disapppinting treatment by staff - Upon check-in, my room had orange stains on the carpet and burn holes on the ottoman (pictured below with time stamps upon check-in). Felt unfairly targeted the entire stay. I never had 2 working room keys for my suite despite going to the front desk 3x for assistance with key cards not working. The pool was not stocked with towels from 4pm-closing. The staff said they were unable to replenish the towels when made aware because they had already put out towels for the entire day. Hotel staff lied to my family and I about pool hours. Pool hours are listed as open until 11pm. At 10:15pm, the staff told me I had to get out of the pool because it was closed (depsite pool hour's being confirmed as 11pm when I checked in). The staff told me I was incorrectly told 11pm and that I had to vacate the pool within 10minutes or risk eviction for having a final warning. After I wrote an email to the manager to express feedback on how the staff treated me during my stay, I did not receive any correspondence from the manager. Instead my card was charged an additional $50 because the "maids must have found your room worth charging". I could not be given any more information on why the charges were added even though I offered to show pictures of the room condition before and after my stay. Overall, this was the most stressful stay I have had because of feeling targeted by one staff member in particular. I feel like the room charges were in retaliation to my feedback.

- James (2/5): - When we checked in, the hotel ran my credit card and sent us up to our room. The key entry was broken and required a maintenance person to let us in. We found out the room was not what we’d reserved. Desk clerk informed us the manager downgraded us as a result of a “better” reservation. We asked for our money back so we could go to a different hotel. We were told the desk clerk was not authorized to process refunds. He indicated that the manager would “do something in the morning to make it right”. We grudgingly agreed to take the downgraded room which ended up having a refrigerator that would not work, stained carpet (looked like someone had been murdered there) and a bed setup that did not match our requirements. If I could leave them zero stars out of ten, I would.

- Tia (2/5): Horrible customer service from the manager - The manager at the front desk was rude not only to myself but to other customers. He told me we could not have balloons in our room so I needed a refund but he was rude about that too. He saw cupcakes and one woman's hand and told her she cannot have that in the room and started arguing with the customer. He showed no professionalism, we were two black women and he showed a bit of racistism. I will never ever come to that hotel again.

- Jason (10/5): - When we checked in we were given the wrong room. I had reserved a double queen suite but got a king suite. I was visually upset, I have cancer and this was our first family outing since I was diagnosed. I was there to see a Tigers game and meet members of a cancer foundation that has helped me. The person that checked me in offered to send me to their sister hotel but I really needed a fridge for all the things I brought. I asked if there was an upgrade or something. He said there wasn't but that he would give me an additional room down the hall. This was the best option! My boys are old enough that they could be on their own and my boys felt very grown up having their own room. It really turned my experience around. I couldn't be happier, and we got to sleep in a king size bed. The hotel offers breakfast in the morning, to be honest I was not a fan of it but still nice to have it. We did definitely utilize it. My teen boys were still able to find enough to eat and could make their own waffles. I was also told that dinner items were offered Monday Wednesday. The day we checked in I think they had pizza. We did not take advantage of that since our schedule was very packed. The rooms were clean and AC worked like a charm. Overall really good experience.
- Lauren (10/5): - Loved the Studio Suite, perfect for a long weekend. Pretty quiet even though it is near the Train Tracks. Pool looked inviting but we didnt use it. Even the breakfast was pretty good. Overall a ⁵ star stay. Be prepared for a $200 deposit in advance of your stay though.
- Margaret (2/5): Will not be staying here again! - We booked a suite online that specified that the room slept 7 and had a King and two queens. I called the day of to let the staff know we would be checking in late after a concert and the staff looked at the reservation (I’m assuming, and said she would leave a note). That night when we were checking in after 11 pm and we were exhausted the staff told us that room was not available and split my family into two rooms that were not adjoining. We were so tired we just accepted and went to our rooms. One room didn’t have fresh towels in it and the other had a clump of hair in the shower. Neither room was entirely clean. When we went back to the desk to ask for a bottle of water we thought maybe they would comp the water based in our troubles… but no. $2 per bottle! As for sustainability… the breakfast plates were served on styrofoam. Is it 1986?! Will not be staying here again.
- Daniel (8/5): - Couple things, the first night the people above us had a two hour screaming fight (no gun shots) but long and loud. The whirlpool jets did not work, spoke to guest services they needed to order a part to fix it. Room was pretty good, nice kitchen, beds comfortable, stains on carpet. Real nice managers' reception M-W, pizza, meatloaf, beans, FF and a small salad bar. Soda but no beer/wine. The breakfast was also decent, normal American complementary hotel fare

- AUSTLON (4/5): This hotel needs to be shaked to the core. Won’t stay again - Arrival There was no one at the desk. Therefore I had to call reception to create something and eventually this young lady appeared. I was not acknowledged as a diamond not offered an upgrade. Then she hey wanted to charge me 100 dollars for incidentals. When I challenged it was actually in case I did damage to the room. As a diamond member do you think IHG would be concerned about me damaging a room. I was incensed by this. I understand a hold for extras I told them I was staying one night sleeping and going. The young lady was clueless. The room was drab however the bed was comfortable. The air con was quite noisy. Luckily only staying one night. Breakfast well OMG it’s clear they don’t give a crap about the environment. Plastic key cards. Plastic cutlery. Each slice of bread wrapped in plastic. Plastic plates. The food was not worth it. After a few bites I decided to get breakfast at airport. Check out. The chap was dressed like he was at home playing a video games. However we was more clued up and apologised for the check in. However when I mentioned plastic at breakfast he couldn’t see why that was a problem. Don’t the young ones get taught about recycling and environment. In schools in USA.

- Elliott (8/5): - Free DINNER, of Course! It was Little Caesar's Pizza, and Spaghetti with meat sauce. The pizza had cooled, however. A microwave oven in the Dining Area would have been Nice.
- JASON (2/5): - One of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. The fire alarm malfunctioned every night, blasting out an ear-splitting alarm that woke us up in a panic and terrified my kids. We had to go outside more than once in our pajamas. Management wasn't proactive about fixing the problem or even communicating with us about it. Elevators were out for three days because the alarm was tripped, so we had to use the stairs. What if there had been an actual fire? Everyone would have ignored the alarm. There was also a broken fire exit sign on the first floor - I hope the Dearborn Fire Department shows up for an inspection very soon. Other problems, unrelated to the fire alarms: one of our showers had a broken handle and only had cold water; the food was inedible (you can eat a better breakfast at a gas station); and the hallways had smelly cooking odors. Stay here if you really need a suite, but don't expect it to be nice.

- William (4/5): - Good news first. The lady managing the breakfast area was great. I do not recall her name (this was Sunday, Oct 29, 2023). She was so friendly and kept up with a very busy morning, we tipped her $20. Now the bad news. This room was reserved as one of your Handicapped Accessible Suites. It wasn't. No grab bars in shower or for the toilet. In addition the toilet seat was not raised. We enquired and were told no other rooms were available. Then the fire alarm went off about 1 AM. We dressed and were leaving when staff told us "some kids" pulled the alarm. It went off 2 more times until it was reset. By then our night's sleep was ended. When we were in the lobby we also learned that a car in the parking lot had been broken into and robbed. When the 3 of us got back to the room, I said "Welcome to Detroit". This was our first stay at an IHG property. Our overall disappointment was sealed when, on departure, I asked if there would be an adjustment to to our bill and I was told no. We will not be back.

I was told that pool is open 24 hrs but that was not accurate, it was closed when I stopped by at 11pm, showergel pump was empty, had to go down the desk and ask some...several things that was just not worth the price I paid.

- mellot (8/5): Clean, comfortable, some might be bothered by guests dogs - Overall, our stay was great. Our room was spacious and the furniture, beds, and pillows were comfortable and in great condition, but the flooring in all areas was showing some wear at the transitions and in hard to clean corners as is common in many hotels. This seems to be a property with many long-term guests that have their pets. Many times we heard dogs barking when we passed by room doors in the hallway and when we walked on the sidewalks adjacent to first floor rooms on the way to/from our room. We also encountered dogs in the elevator. This was not a problem for us but could be disturbing to others. Our room was very quiet except for some noisy guests past 11pm one of the nights of our stay, but when we called the desk they sent security and it quieted down within a few minutes. The breakfast/social was plentiful and of decent quality and variety. We would definitely stay there again.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Ripoff - I arrived and the hotel had been out of power for two days. They sent me to another property owned by the same company where they had a room. I was charged the suite rate for the room I couldn’t stay in as opposed to the $75 cheaper rate where I did stay.

- 101sherrid (10/5): 5 Stars and much more - Every morning we were greeted by Alvin and Anektra who made us feel like we were their family. During the holidays the staff treated us to dinner so we knew we had family. The management treated us so like family too. Josie and Sherri kept our room clean and made sure we knew if we needed anything they were there for us. John and Fatima were amazing with everything above and beyond they did yo make us feel like we were more then guests- we were their family. Our dinner at night with Mirriam and Farrah was spectacular because they made sure to talk with us during every meal and we so attentive to our every need. Between Alvin and John spoiling our dogs and Christian being so caring and making sure we had everything we needed we a hard time leaving. They made our stay much more than a 5 star experience. I haven't even talked about the accommodations and how comfortable we were at the Staybridge in Dearborn Michigan - every morning we had a full service breakfast and in the evening we had a complimentary dinner that was awesome- we can't say enough good things about them if I could give 10 stars I would

- Brandon (4/5): - This is a two star at best. Pictures online were deceiving. Elevator, hallway, rooms smelled bad, musty and stale. Couch in our room was soiled. The door to our room wouldn’t shut without us putting our weight on it to force it closed. Doors to the bedroom and bathroom didn’t have knobs they had some flat steel contraption. Very disappointing stay, I was relieved we only stayed one night

- Anne (4/5): Little disappointing stay... - Was called a couple hours before check in and told about a piping problem in part of the hotel and the possibility of being moved to their sister hotel next door (Holiday Inn Express). When we arrived at Staybridge and tried to check in I was told I didnt have a reservation and had to explain the situation to the staff because apparently the didn't know anything about it. Our reservation was moved to the Holiday Inn Express next door and we never received a follow up call informing us of rhat update. We reserved a suite room at Staybridge but was downgraded to a double queen room with no offer of reimbursement for room price difference. Holiday Inn Express was nice hotel but very loud guests with some being escorted off property our second night there. Not complaining of quality of hotel, but would have rather stayed at Staybridge...stayed there many times in the past and it's an excellent hotel!

- lago (2/5): No Airport Shuttle - The website says: Free Airport Shuttle. Expedia says: Free Airport Shuttle. TripAdvisor says: Free Airport Shuttle. But after you have paid in advance and called them from DTW they will ell you there is no airport shuttle. Cost me an extra $104 in Uber fees.
- James (6/5): Friendly Staff, Passable Lodging - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was ready and open on time. The room has a comfortable bed but little else to recommend it...furnishings were threadbare and the refrigerator was noisy. Hotels.com advertised inaccurately that the hotel provides a shuttle service to Detroit Airport (DTW). This is dead wrong and proved very inconvenient—this information should be removed from the Hotels.com listing immediately!
- Mariah (2/5): - It was horrible. They said that they had a shuttle to and from the airport on the website, but that wasn’t true. I tried calling 10 times over the course of three hours, including being on hold for 50 minutes with no answer. When I finally got a hold of them they told me it was not their problem and they refused to do anything. Very unprofessional and rude.

- rsmelski (8/5): Great weekend visit - We booked 2 rooms one with 2 double beds and a pull out couch and one with a king bed and a pull out couch. The room with the two double beds was much more spacious and had much more room in the kitchen area including an area to eat as well. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Rooms are starting to need some upkeep. The carpet was needing some repair and the kitchen cupboards needed repair as well. But overall it’s a great spacious room. They do need more cooking utensils and cook wear if you plan on cooking as they don’t have much to work with. The free breakfast was great, the lady hosting and making breakfast was a bit grumpy though. The lady who checked us in Friday night was fantastic went above and beyond! The pool was beautiful! And nice and warm!

Apart from that... the staff is quite friendly and the room is ok I guess. Not new, but has all the stuff to be qualified a suite. Just not great value wise especially no shuttle!

The breakfast was even better than other hotels that I stayed at previously, I would 100% recommend staying here again and I can't wait to come back with my family this year!
