Guest Reviews
- William (6/5): This covid-era BS of not making rooms up until 3 days pass has to stop. - Perfect location to access my work. No housekeeping services. Only two washcloths and face towels for a 3 night stay. In-room coffee wasn't replenished, neither were the cups. This is basic stervice and you shouldn't have to ask for it. My work is very demanding, and I don't appreciate coming back to an unmade bed, un-emptied trash cans and no coffee supplies.

- Victoria (8/5): We had a great experience at the Fairfield In. -Utica - It’s a great halfway point between Ohio and Massachusetts for visiting family. Clean rooms, convenient location, and friendly staff are important. We also enjoy eating at Delmonico’s. Nothing
- Jessica (10/5): it was so comfortable and beautiful - i enjoyed the front desk workers they were so kind and polite I have no complaints
- Paulette (10/5): Awesome experience - Excellent customer service
- Dave (2/5): Very disappointed - Location Our room was dirty. Found dirty socks in the middle of our floor, a wrapper in the shower and the next morning I found a spider in my shoe. This all leads to the fact that the room wasn’t cleaned
- Jason (3/5): - the room had an ant problem, there were hundreds of them
- Marisa (10/5): Good location and hotel - Location is good
- Tammy (9/5): -
- kathleen (10/5): Very nice short stay - Clean .Very nice people Everything was good
- Stacey (10/5): - The manager of the hotel is very professional and helpful. I overheard her dealing with a difficult situation on the phone and was impressed by her response. Everyone else was friendly and helpful, as well. Nothing
- Amy (9/5): Great stay! - Excellent location for our visit in Utica. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet. Beds were ver comfortable. The breakfast was decent - nothing special. This has really nothing to do with the property, per se, but we were there during the holidays and the restaurant across the street blasted holiday music each night until 10:30ish. Not a big deal but a bit annoying when trying to get to sleep.
- Stefania (10/5): - staff, colazione, riciclo
- Carleen (5/5): Nice but price was to high for the area - Location was easy to find The price seemed high for the hotel
- Solon (4/5): - I got bumped from my room w/ a king size bed to a queen size. They overbooked, but I made my reservation 2 months in advance.
- Mitchell (10/5): Nice - Just off of the turnpike great location for the traveling couple Nothing
- davidrG2435QK (2/5): VERY LOUD!! - Very loud hotel!
Very loud TV sounds from next door came right thru thin walls.; Many freight trains, each of which needed to announce its presence; and apparently an overnight crotch-rocket motorcycle race was scheduled.
Otherwise clean, however sleep is the main function of a hotel and the lack of sound control made this a never again spot.
- Dara (8/5): - A great location conveniently located to the town and university.
- Glenn (10/5): Highly exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): - Clean property with friendly staff. Will definitely come back!!
- Sunil (8/5): -

- Christopher (6/5): - The room needed some repairs....bathroom fan did not work and the air conditioner leaked all over the carpet.
- gavin (8/5): -
- Claire (9/5): - Great friendly staff. Clean facility. Good breakfast. The walk from the elevator to the handicapped room was a long ways, I wondered why it wasn't closer?
- Kenneth (10/5): - staff was great.
- Grant (10/5): -
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (9/5): -
- Leah (10/5): - Well kept clean room. Could hear trains but not terribly disruptive. Continental breakfast was good, well stocked. Staff was professional and courteous.
- Diannecf23 (9/5): Superb - Interesting area. Park, restaurant, coffee, and ice cream within short walk.
- Ralph (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was very good
- matthewdA5352KL (2/5): Poor Marriott Hotel - The hotel is dirty. Looking closely at things it hasn't been cleaned in months. They wouldn't send me a mobile key, which isn't how Marriott is supposed to work. None of the outside doors work. You have to walk all the way around to the front of the hotel to get inside. Yes even if it means getting soaked or some individuals at night who didn't look very nice. Don't stay here.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Nice, clean and comfortable. - Convenient, right off the thruway. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nothing.

- David (10/5): - the hotel is very clean and rooms are beautiful
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): - I love the staff. So friendly and in love that the Starbucks is walkable.
The three things I do not like are:
- pillow (too soft)
- shower head (flow is not good but it’s not bad either)
- the train sound (loud and you can hear it inside the room)
But other than that, very good hotel, staff are A+. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.
- Jacqulyn (10/5): - Clean, easy check in, good breakfast options, and convenient to the locations we needed to get to.

- aevar2025 (8/5): Hotel - I was sleeping in my room and I woke up to the people in the room next to us doing yk what... It went on for about 15 mins.. and we have a room w one bed for five ppl and my mom paid for the two bed room but I love this hotel! The food is good and the rooms are nice, small but spacious. The veiw out the windows are amazing!
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andria (10/5): - The bed in our King room was so comfortable! I’m having some sciatica issues and the bed was wonderfully perfect, I’ve hadn’t slept so good in weeks. Thank you Fairfield!
- Heather (10/5): - Super friendly and accommodating!
- Megavannan (9/5): Superb -
- Tara (9/5): Nice stay - Room clean and bed super comfy. The pool is not heated.
- Theresa (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): - Amazing front desk personnel. Well located and fairly new hotel. Highly recommend…just make sure no hockey tournaments going on when you reserve.
- LaShon (4/5): - The property was nice, front desk staff and food staff were very nice. Housekeeping was awful!!!!!!! My king bed had queen sheets and matress cover on it. Both kept comin off off the whole night. When reported to front desk I was assured it would be taken care of. Well someone forgot to let housekeeping know hiw important they may be. Housekeeping came the next day, threw the linen on a table,, didnt make put them on or make my bed, and then left the door handle lock engaged and my room was open all day until I returned about 730-8 pm that night. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and neglected for the money I paid. I couldnt sleep that night fearing many things. I checked my room for cameras and just felt so uncomfortable during this visiit to see my father who has stage 4 cancer. This will probably be my last time seei g him due to treatment is no longer working and i couldnt even have peace in my room. This made the trip so much harder and I am grossly upset.
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (10/5): - Babes restaurant across the road was a great spot
- Romell (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): - Well kept. Good breakfast options.
- James (8/5): - Easy and no hassle stay. Best place in the area. Starbucks 1 minute walk is great! Breakfast was good.
- Minoo (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- Cameron (8/5): - Good breakfast.
- Jill (10/5): - We totally enjoyed our stay, especially Courtney, the greeter at check in. She was so pleasant and helpful.
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was fine and staff was outstanding - very friendly and professional.
- Sally (7/5): Nice room, but noisy. - Convenient location to interstate & room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Lots of restaurant options close. Bed/mattress was not very comfortable (kinda lumpy). Not very quiet (train whistle several times during the night, loud traffic noises and could hear the people talking in next room and walking in floor above). Overall just kept getting woken up by noise.
- christine (2/5): - I was overcharged & NO ONE is trying to get this sorted out. They had me listed for the wrong days! Ugh, what a mess. The lack of communication is why I would never stay here again...if you stay here be careful
- Tammy (10/5): - Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean
- Beatriz (10/5): - Very happy, thank you!
- 426eddiem (6/5): Good location - The Room Lightning was bases on 3 lamps one on each side of the bed and 1 at the television not enough light
Breakfast was mainly in healthy food not much healthy food
Coffee was ok
Bed was hard
Air conditioning hard to get right either to cold and draft or hot
- 929michaels929 (10/5): Great Stay in Utica - Our recent stay here was excellent. Four of us reserved a room with two queen beds. The room was very clean. The standard stock (bath towels and in-room coffee) was set for two people. The front desk staff were very helpful in providing us additional towels and coffee. The indoor pool was smaller (4-5 foot depth) but very refreshing after a car drive. A free breakfast is included and was excellent. Coffee, juices, a variety of hot and cold selections, omelet maker, and plenty of seating made this a treat. The entire site was very clean and much appreciated. The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. The price may be on the higher end ($179/night), but when you factor in a substantial free breakfast, indoor pool, and very clean setting, I had no problem paying it. Also, a number of great places for lunch and dinner close by.
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger Francis (10/5): - I’ve stayed there before and have enjoyed both times
- David (10/5): - Very nice, very clean.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (10/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, tidy grounds, good continental breakfast.
- Oscar (6/5): - The property looks nice but the rooms need updating. Broken handles and leaking faucet
- Cheryl (6/5): Somewhat disappointing. - We were booked for two nights at the Fairfield Marriott in Utica, NY. Our room was very clean, and the space itself was comfortable. The king mattress was quite comfortable.
The air in the room was very humid, even with the air-conditioning running, making the carpet and surfaces feel damp.
It would have been nice if the room had usb ports to charge electronics. There were none, which was disappointing.
The bathroom did not have a fan for ventilation, which added to the humidity in the room, and just made for a generally sticky feeling.
The free breakfast was a nice plus, and there were ample choices provided. Unfortunately, I chose the oat milk offered for my cereal and coffee, and the milk had gone bad.
We ended up not staying the second night, opting to drive back home instead after the function we were attending.
I most likely will not stay here again.
- Doug (8/5): Very good - The room was clean. Plenty of space in the bathroom. The shower is very nice. The older woman working on the breakfast is EXTREMELY friendly. The breakfast was very good. Young, heavier set woman who was at the front desk EARLY (roughly 6:15)on Sunday, June 30 has no personality. (She was also helping with the breakfast prior to that. My Wife went to ask for a couple of waters. My Wife said "Good Morning" to her & was just stared at. The woman, after being asked for the waters, simply said "how many?". Handed them to my Wife without another word. She should be kept away from any public contact. Another woman was at the desk when we departed at approximately 6:40 & she was VERY friendly. The bed was not comfortable at all for me. (Too hard.) That is a preference thing more than anything.
- Kelly (4/5): Way overpriced - Way overpriced. Our A/C unit was making a siren sound but the property couldn’t repair it or move us to another room. Breakfast was not high quality and the fitness center barely qualifies as such. The room was clean and the bedding was comfy, so if price is no object (I paid $260) you’ll be OK.
- Myra (9/5): Superb - Nice clean room. Pool closed too early. I wished they would stay open for adults only after 9 pm
- Breyona (10/5): Loved it - Love that I could cook out on the grill Small pool
- Tom (4/5): Disappointing - AC sounded like a freight train.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Location Price ok, not great
Orange pylons blocked entrance
- Joann (10/5): Friendly Staff - Friendly staff, great location.
- Scott (10/5): - Nice place to stay!
- jenniferkG4888NL (10/5): Inviting, Comfortable, Centrally located, Friendly Staff - The ambiance here was always inviting and comfortable. I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service at the front desk. The staff was amazing and beyond that just so friendly! The breakfast was very reliable and I enjoyed the coffee, feeling absolutely no need to walk to the Starbucks across the parking lot (which was one of the reasons we booked a room here). What a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean and comfortable. The exercise room and pool were well maintained. Another bonus, several great nearby restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely choose Fairfield on a return visit to Utica area.
- Katie (10/5): - My husband and I stayed one night (5-24) but would have stayed longer if we could have. The hotel is spotless, the room large and comfortable, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, Kudos to Nickie who made us feel like we were family. She is awesome! Also the building maintenance man and the lovely woman who kept the breakfast pans filled. We were offered a cookie and bottle of water at check in as well as 2 drink coupons for a local restaurant. We will definitely go back there!
- Gerardo (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent staff member at check in. Breakfast was good, room was clean, spacious & bed was super comfortable.
- Shawn (10/5): - We were able to check-in early…given our trip and circumstances that was most appreciated.
- Sujit (10/5): - Excellent property for stay. Cordial staff, clean rooms, nice gym, reasonably good breakfast, convenient location.
- Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant - We requested two beds as there were 4 adults in the room and we booked this room about a year ago. We were told we were upgraded to a suite but that meant a pull out bed and we needed two beds which they were out of. the pull out is not comfortable for two adults
- Linoshka (9/5): My family and I really enjoyed or stay my kids especially loved the pool and the excercise room - Breakfast was good they refilled everything quickly the location of the hotel is good it’s easy to find the staff is very friendly More towels in the pool area
