- Taysaye (2/5): They will give away your room even if you check in on the app AND call! - We had reserved two rooms for June 21, 2025. When I made the reservation, the woman I spoke to said she was booking two rooms for me that had two queen beds plus a pull out couch. I asked multiple times if the rooms had these particular beds because of our dynamic with the group we were traveling with. We needed 3 different beds in each room. I was assured this was the type of room I was booking. When I made the reservation, I told the woman that helped me book at the front desk over the phone that we were traveling that day and would not arrive until 10 pm or later. My mom and I downloaded the Marriot Bonvoy app because we each had a room in our names. We checked in to our rooms the day before. The app asked us what time we would arrive and we both put 10:00 pm. Our travels delayed us a bit, so at 9:30 PM, my mom called and spoke with someone at the front desk to tell them that we were on the way, but we would be late and would arrive between 11:15-11:30. The lady said okay, that she would make a note of it so when the girl on the night shift arrived, she would know. We arrived at the hotel about 11:20. My mom and I went to check in while the rest of my family was in the cars outside, and the girl at the front desk told us they had given away one of our rooms. Instead, they were replacing one of the rooms with a King suite that had a king bed and pull out couch. That would not work for us which was expressly stated when we booked the rooms in the first place because we needed 3 beds in each room. We did everything right...checked in on the app, noted our late arrival time, called to say we would be later than that arrival time, and THEY STILL GAVE ONE OF OUR ROOMS AWAY. Then to top it off, they were wanting to give us a room with one fewer bed and charge us the same price as the room with three beds. We told the only person working that we needed to speak to a manager. She said there was no way that could happen and there was no one to speak to. She also told us there was no way we could change the rate. We had to throw an absolute fit to get this rate changed. The girl went into a back room for a while, came back out and miraculously could change the rate for the room they gave away and changed. We were not happy at all with the circumstances, but it was nearing midnight by this point, and we had been driving many hours and needed to rest because we had more hours of driving the next day. We got our keys and headed to our room. When I got to the one room they did not give away, I was so frustrated to walk in to a room with two queen beds and NO pull out couch. This would absolutely not work. So we had booked two rooms with two queen beds and a pull out couch in each, and we were given one room with two queen beds and one room with a king and pull out. We needed 6 beds but were given rooms with 4. Now, at midnight, I was having to go back downstairs and had a whole new problem. I do feel sorry for the girl working because she acted as though she really couldn’t help us and her hands were tied and had no manager to contact. To try to make it right, she ended up giving us a third room so all of my family would have a place to sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because how could anyone trust them to give them the correct room and not give their rooms away? No one wants to travel all day and come to a hotel for rest only to find that they had been lied to and undercut by the staff which then leads to a lot of conflict and stress.

- hmboyles (4/5): This Should Not Be A Mariott - I never write reviews, but this one deserves it. I'm an avid Mariott member, but this hotel does not remotely meet Mariott standards. I was here four days on a business trip. I woke up, turned on the bathroom light, and roaches scurried across the floor. My couch was so disgusting and ripped up, I didn't even sit on it. The breakfast was dry, old, and overcooked. Do yourself a favor and go for the Hilton next door. This is a huge disappointment from Mariott.

After changing rooms, there was second power outage. Later in new room. Asked for wake up call to go to funeral. After wake call room lost power again they had no one to help. Late for funeral home family pick up. They flipped switch in room did not fix problem . We experienced 3 power outages. I have insulin in refrigerator. Had to leave grave sight to come pack to hotel. Power outage/tripped switch still not fixed. They said since we paid through a 3rd party Expedia would need to deal with refund for room payment.

- zacharyhE6338VK (2/5): TV gone Bad - My family and i checked in to the Towneplace suite on 10/7/2023.We we staying for 7 days.We had a Two bedroom king suite.The first room we checked into was Filthy.Hair all over the Bathroom,the Furniture was very old and worn.We went back down to the desk where we were moved to another Two bedroom king suite which was up to standard.That room looked like it had just been redone.Now to the main complaint.Thursday while preparing to have guest over to watch the Braves vs the Phillies baseball game the TV in the living went out....I went downstairs to the front desk and spoke to JP.He was very apologetic.JP came up to the room and tried to get the TV working.After several minutes he realized there was nothing he could and informed me the Maintenance person was gone for the day and he would put a work order in for a replacement TV for friday morning.I went down to the front desk at 7:45 am friday morning and asked to speak to the manager Elvi Scriber.The young lady at the desk McKayle Wilson began to help me.We conformed the work order had been placed then when i asked Ms. Wilson about compensation for the day when i was without a TV she said let her check with the manager.Ms. Wilson went into the office stuck her head out and asked were we rewards members and i told her yes we were.Ms.Wilson then came out and said they could give us 1000 rewards points.I then explained that i did not use rewards points.I again asked for the manager and was told by Ms.Wilson that the manager was busy doing ( Morning reports ) and i would have to wait.I asked how long of a wait.Ms.Wilson said she didnt know.I explained to Ms.wilson im a customer with an issue i think that morning report could wait a few more minutes and the manager could come out and deal with a live body not a report.Finally the manager Elvi Scriber comes out and she also begins to say all they can offer is rewards points.I said to the manager Elvi if i was not a rewards member what would you offer me.Her response was I would make you sign up for one.That is very unprofessional...After going back and forth she then said well if i didnt wont the points she could give me a days credit the next time i come to the hotel..If she was able to do that then why didnt she give me the credit right then and there.I asked her to show me where is said any credits or refunds would be in rewards points...She could not and stated all of the towneplace suites and diffrent and have there own rules...SHAME on TOWNEPLACE SUITES.The manager ELVI then said God bless and have a blessed day and went into her office and did not come back out to speak to me any futher....This is the second time I have had DEPLORABLE Customer service at your Towneplaces suites.Why am i the customer being penalized for the hotels failure to provide what was advertised.There was no consideration at all.I had to cancel my plans uninvite people and to no fault of mine.
- Annmarie (6/5): - The hotel is newer and I have stayed there 3 times. The house keeping needs help. The bathroom was sticky, the toilet had a dark ring around the top of the bowl. It looks like they just wiped everything down with a dirty cloth.

- Deborah (7/5): Nice room - The room was clean. Breakfast was very ho-hum.. plastic forks & flimsy paper plates. Not as good as a recent stay we had at a La Quinta. You would expect more at this level of property.
- Wilhelmina (4/5): - This was disappointing. The staff was nice enough but looks like they are understaffed. Breakfast was mediocre, you can get better free breakfast at a lower end hotel. Oatmeal was uncooked, only two items for hot food and no fruit other than a couple of sad bananas. Room had carpet stains. No access to gym with room key and no staff to be found for help to access. We only stayed one night thank goodness.

- Baum (7/5): my second stay with this location I was very impressed with my first visit however I couldn’t say the same for my second - clean comfortable and location staff not as polite professional and respectful also shouldn’t have to wait 30 minutes for breakfast during normal breakfast hours

- Tanya (9/5): Great staff - The staff was amazing. Very polite. We had an issue with the a/c and maintenance came very quickly and fixed the issue in a snap. The price was a little high. The bed was not that comfortable, the suite I thought would be larger than it was. Kinda small, bathroom was small also. A handicap person would have problems getting around in it and no way be able to bath or shower.

I only found one in the second room, however, there was unidentifiable items in the tub, therefore, I did not use the shower. I've always had great luck with this hotel, however this experience wasn't the normal.

- Tamela (8/5): Disappointed - We have stayed at Towneplace multiple times over the last few years. The hotel has changed ownership and it shows. I was presented with this page full of “new” upon check in. I was made to come to the front desk to get my own towels during the day shift. I’ve never experienced that. I was told that I couldn’t get a late checkout (which I ALWAYS get) because I booked with a 3rd party company. There were ants in our room. That may be because we’re on the first floor (maybe). Next trip I will probably go back to one of the other hotels across the parking lot from the mall.

She made sure she went the extra mile to accommodate me and I definitely appreciate that. Superb customer service, and I would definitely recommend this place just on her hospitality.

As friendly and patient as I am with my children (which is very). 10/10 will be staying here again next Mother’s Day. Best simple escape from my family, ever. Thanks Marriott!

- TravelingM519 (2/5): Bad Experience - When we came to check in we found that the hotel had given us a different room than we had reserved (we reserved the room 4 months in advance) After a few hours they finally got us into a room type that we had asked for. If you care about what room type you get…Make sure you check before you go… The next problem was housekeeping. The first day no one came and we called. We were told we had to request it…so I requested it foe the next day…next day we get back not done again I called and they had no record of me asking for service. I will not stay here again!

Sorry sorry sorry, and the breakfast sandwiches were tasteless. I’ve never had sausage that had no taste at all. It was unbelievable. They would have done better in my overall review if they had not offered breakfast.

It was now queen beds, there was nasty dirty underwear under one of the beds , and the toilet backed up and overflowed and flooded the bathroom! Nobody cared or did anything to make it right. Not even am I’m sorry that happened. Horrible!

- Verified traveler (6/5): - No hot water 😭 long day of driving. Advised by friends that Alexandria is not super safe. We ran got Schlotskys and ate in the room. Room size was excellent. Nice table. borrowed a game at front desk.
- mkorndor (2/5): Non-functioning bathroom, broken curtains, supercheap sheets and no blankets at all - I have a long history of high expectations from hotels, usually, functioning bathrooms, clean sheets, non-lumpy non-gross pillows, you know, extreme. I woke up with bug bites, the toilet doesn't flush, the free breakfast sign is not breakfast at all. Coffee is some super cheap brand, no milk even for the coffee. Even given the COVID break, the hotel shouldn't be selling rooms because the quality is so low. I just stayed in the same type of hotel (Townsuites Marriott) in another small town in Louisiana. Way nicer, had breakfast, two blankets, clean sheets, feather pillows, and cost less. They are also struggling with getting enough supplies, but, what they offered was good. not so here.

Couch was old. Soap bars were too small and with my 6 day stay, had to go back twice since management was pretty cheap here and would leave one bar at one time

The last 2 times it was advertised free breakfast on the site. Don’t appreciate the false advertising and having to pay for it. Also they claim free coffee all day. Twice it was cold and once there was none.

Because of covid there wasn't anything other than coffee available in the morning even though the website was still saying that there would a free breakfast. They could of made an effort to accommodate their guests a little more.
- sadielarry (4/5): Motel needs cleaning and replace carpet - This motel needs a major cleaning. The furniture and carpet in our room was dirty! The carpet had torn places and holes. The tub had a plastic shower curtain (yuck). There was used soap on the tub. It was nasty. The stove was dirty, everything needed wiped down. Housekeeping needs to learn how to clean. The A/C worked great and the beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. The motel only offered coffee and nothing else for breakfast. The pool was dirty and closed. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite and it was quiet which we appreciated. Our room was over $150 a night. They really need to offer a breakfast. When we checked out there were no luggage carts available so we made 3 trips to load our luggage. I really don’t understand why they don’t have a steam cleaner to clean the furniture and carpets. They are really stained and dirty.

Including a Walmart. The rooms are simply amazing. My room was very clean. But the most wonderful thing about this one was the hotel receptionist Miss Vicki. She was just the most absolute help, greeted me as soon as i walked through the door. She was just the sweetest and all around has the best costumer service. Her demeanor was very welcoming and made it a pleasure. I will be returning. 5 stars

- Edgardo (10/5): Nice place to stay! - The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly as well. on the sad notes, the front desk was left unattended for a long period of time leaving guess waiting for up to 15 minutes at a time. The bed was very comfortable but the pillow really needs to be updated. the concierge stand is full of goodies but with an airport price tag for items, very well overpriced.

There was a sticky subtance on the counter next to the stovetop and the bathroom mirrors had streaks. Also, there was a constant sound of running water in the bathroom wall next to the toilet and the AC was also loud. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable.
