They loved the place said it was pretty and neat with great setting and hosts-current hosts just sold it though right after their stay. Close to Boyne city which has a couple great restaurants and does a fantastic job with community events and is an awesome little town. Should check this place out

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Horton Creek is a place to disconnect from the outside world and relax in nature. The proprietors are a very lovely couple that want to meet your every need. Unfortunately, they will be retiring in a few months and it will no longer be open to the public. It will be a loss to the area and those who who are regular visitors.

- Teresa (10/5): A little piece of heaven - My husband and i have been to several B&Bs but The Horton Creek B&B was by far the best experience we have had. Not only were Dave and Jeannie great host, but they made you feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and seconds were offered, the views were spectacular, the bed was comfortable and the Deer room was charming. Jeannie put dessert out in the evening and while my husband and i were at dinner our host placed a snack in our room with ice cold water and soft music playing. The B&B was by far the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be back.

The location was remote and quiet, but had good proximity to many local sites. We were greeted warmly and our hosts gave us great advice on what we wanted to see. Relatively close to Charlevoix, Petoskey and Boyne City/Mountain. Breakfast room very bright and open with views over the yard and pool with opportunities to watch birds and squirrels while enjoying a great breakfast. You won't be disappointed.

The staff was super friendly and thoughtful - they even prepared various types of cakes each evening (complementary) along with cold beverages. The food was good, although my husband thought that some of the breakfasts were "too sweet" and would have preferred more traditional breakfast fare. Jeannie does many special "little touches" to make a guest feel welcome and special. Loved the pool and gorgeous gardens. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We'd go again!!

- Ron (10/5): Wonderful Get-Away - This was a last-minute decision and found Horton Creek B&B online with good rate and nice location. The owners, Jeannie & Dave, were extremely nice and the breakfasts were amazing (special French toast & then unique eggs benedict). The B&B is a large home with cozy rooms, plus other common rooms for relaxing, watching TV, etc. The breakfast sunroom was especially nice with sun coming in and the birds feeding right outside in the yard. They also have 60 acres, so plenty of room to walk and explore. Just a nice peaceful get-away. No pressures at all.
