It was not in the touristy area so it was quite and near local markets, restaurants, River Ping. The staffs were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The lightbulbs were broken in our room, but the staffs fixed them for us as soon as we informed them. When I booked the hotel via Booking.com, it said that the price came with breakfast. However, during out check-in, the staffs informed us that there were no breakfast service during this time due to the closed down of the dinning room. I just thought it could be better if they informed us prior to our arrival.

Gabriel (10/5): Best choice in Chiang Mai - The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is a bit outside of the main area but you can walk for 15 minutes to many awesome restaurants. I stayed in one huge room for a week, then went away to visit another city and came back to a smaller room that was still big and comfortable. Beds are comfortable as well. Internrt is fast - I used it for a couple of Zoom meetings without problem. The balconies are charming!

The bed was too hard, the TV was too small and the internet connection was a big problem, it was very slow and sometimes disconnected. Also there was no breakfast option or snacks on site.

CHIA HSIN (10/5): 非常棒的入住經驗 - 飯店早餐有泰式小吃，也有現做的西式早餐，都蠻好吃的。飯店服務很好，一開始安排的房間不是我預定的需求最後也得到滿意的安排，離開時遺忘了一罐香水，飯店用最快的速度幫我快遞到曼谷的飯店，雖然需要自行支付運費，但處理的效率很高！飯店位在很安靜的區域，離River market很近晚上可以喝杯酒再散步回家，如果再去清邁還會再入住！
Rainer (10/5): Modernes, kleines Hotel in ruhiger Lage - Das Hotel liegt in ruhiger Lage unweit vom Fluss, kaum Autolärm. Zum Nightbasar sind es ca 10 min zu Fuß. Das Zimmer war modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Zum Frühstück gibt es sechs eher europäisch beeinflußte Menüs zur Auswahl, die frisch zubereitet werden, Thai Essen befindet sich in wechselnden Varianten beim Buffet. Hoher Anspruch an die Hygiene, es wird immer alles abgedeckt. Das Personal ist reichlich und sehr aufmerksam. Im Hotel gibt es kostenlos Fahrräder zum leihen um schnell in die Stadt zu gelangen.

MITSUAKI (10/5): おすすめします。 - 空港から15分、ターペイ門までタクシー5分か徒歩15分、市内からは外れていますが静かに過ごせます。朝ごはんも満足の内容です。ナイトマーケットは徒歩圏内なので便利です。部屋は清潔でゆっくり過ごせました。シャワー、アメニティ、空調、トイレ全く問題ありません。英語が苦手な私達を丁寧に説明して対応してくれました。早朝便に合わせて朝食を弁当にしてくれました。楽しいチェンマイ旅行になりました。
Anna (10/5): Charm ten minutes from bustling riverside hotels - We stayed for five nights at the Chu Hotel, far from the noise of the city but a mere ten minute walk to the night bazaar and Anantara Hotel. I can’t say enough about the charm of this boutique hotel. The rooms are oversized, beds comfortable and service with a smile. It felt like a great holiday. Will definitely book here again.
KUEI-MIN (10/5): 房間大、安靜舒適，早餐豐富，離各景點都方便 - 年初住過覺得房間很大、環境寧靜舒適優雅，早餐豐富好吃，所以這次還是訂了這裡。這次中間還離開去別的地區旅遊，所以寄放了行李兩天，返國前一天再回來住。離瓦洛洛市場、濱河區的店鋪、古城區、夜市都在散步距離，美食、喝下午茶、採買紀念品都很方便。
Eric (10/5): High class Chiang Mai on a medium budget - Great place in new condition. Staff very polite and service like a five star resort. There is a buffet AND made to order from the menu breakfast included in the breakfast service. Breakfast was quite good. Especially the salad and the fruit which are grown locally and "farm to table". I strongly recommend the salad bar for anybody that has not experienced the "farm to table" freshness of vegetables that are ripe picked as opposed the city vegetables that are picked before ripening and ripen on the way to market. Night market and "walking street" markets are a short walk for nightime activities, as is the indoor market. We shopped the local tour guides for the "whitewater rafting", mountain, Chiang Rai, and river cruise. I recommend all but the Chiang Rai tours.

Valerie (10/5): The BEST hotel, ever! - Our stay at the CHU hotel was more than we could ever imagine. The staff was great and went above and beyond for us. I wish we could have stayed longer. It is located on a quiet street and it’s close to most touristic areas. The breakfast is delicious. The grounds are green and airy and the rooms and simply decorated. It was more spacious than we imagined. We will definitely be back to that hotel and will recommend it to anyone I know who will visit Chiang Mai! It is very much worth every penny spent.

The walk to the night market is about 10- 15 minutes and other than crossing the streets, and the typical uneven pavement, it is an easy walk. Breakfast is nice as well, not a whole lot of options, but enough.

r (10/5): Modern, comfortable, spacious, friendly hotel. - Perfect hotel for a 5 day quiet stay with a self drive car. Location comfortable 15 min walking distance to night Bazzar, Wororot market, and 5-10 min walk to riverside restaraunts, Rimping supermarket. Staff really lovely, room very good size and natural light. Fittings in excellent condition. Free breakfast variety was excellent. Free WiFi flawless. Will preference this Chiang Mai hotel next time I visit.

Rachael (10/5): Love the Chu! What a great hotel! - What an amazing hotel! We were welcomed by friendly staff and given a free upgrade. The room was spacious with an amazing canopy bed, kitchen, sitting area and massive bathroom with soaker tub and separate shower with rainfall shower head. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! It's tucked away from the road and is so quiet and peaceful while still being a short ten minute walk to Chiang Mai's famous Night Bazaar. Love this hotel!
sarah (10/5): Very nice, especially if you want peace & quiet - Stayed for two nights. This place is gorgeous, it's a little peaceful oasis. Loved being on the property, breakfast was good too. Only thing I didn't like was having to cross really busy streets to get to the other side of the river. Nice spot if you have a rental car or scooter as there is room to park. For that reason I'd say if you have small children and are walking everywhere it's not great. Walking the street along the river for shopping and restaurants really isn't friendly for little kids, negligible sidewalks and busy. Other than that street the neighborhood seems a little desolate but not unsafe. This place was my husbands favorite of the six hotels we stayed at in Thailand. For me it was a very close second.
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice property - Should provide hotel telephone contact in the booking as the cab driver couldn't find the location of the hotel just by the address . Otherwise , it is a nice property, tastefully decorated and very well maintained . Good service overall except that there's no ironing services . Had to walk around 20 minutes to a convenience stall . Will be difficult to get around if not driving .
Charles (8/5): Relaxing getaway in Chiangmai - Chu Hotel was very welcoming. It's in a very different location from most of the Chiangmai accommodations but it's nice being in such a quiet location. Everything was very trendy and nice and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a nice spread that also included a rotating menu of breakfasts cooked for you. The neighborhood was full of art galleries and the main Chiangmai attractions were still just a short walk away

Adam (8/5): Nice new hotel with few drawbacks - The room is spacious and comfortable. The AC is strong. Bed is quite comfortable. Negatives - Warm water at best not hot. They have an instant heater which doesn't work good. Also, the staff spoke basic English at best. Communication was a bit challenging, although not too hard. All in all, great value.
Margaret (10/5): Beautiful hotel, convenient location - The Room: - Extremely comfortable bed, especially compared to other beds in Asia. Large size. Soft bedding with extra pillows. - A full size fridge, cabinet space, dishes, and a sink. There is a small table and chairs. - Up-to-date television and appliances. The Bathroom: - GORGEOUS! The shower is open to the room, with the floor having a drain. A rainfall shower that has excellent pressure. A large bathtub located adjacent to the shower area. - The blow dryer works well! This may seem minor, but this blow dryer actually dries your hair quickly with enough power. The Grounds: - Well designed lobby. They bring you a drink and cookies upon your arrival. - Picnic tables outside. Enough space to park cars and scooters. The Breakfast: - A small selection of Asian delicacies, a large selection of fresh fruit, some baked goods such as homemade donuts and muffins. - They prepare a "BLT" sandwich for you, ready upon arrival. I loved it! The Staff: - Extremely accommodating. Met us at the curb to handle our bags. Drew us maps around the city to find what we needed. Called our cabs and/or an excursions we had booked. The Location: - Could not have been better! You are one block off the main road, which helps keep the busyness and the noise down. - 15 minute walk to the Night Bazaar and then you can easily walk into the Old City. We walked around before renting scoots to scoot around further.
