• Carr (7/5): Comfortable and affordable stay in an easy to find motel that is nestled in a lovely community. - The room, bed, bathroom & small kitchen were nice and everything was clean. The price was great, especially since we were only staying for an overnight sleep during our roadtrip. The TV would not work. We didn't complain because we were going to sleep shortly after arriving. We did tell the host when we left that it needed to be looked at so that the next guests would hopefully have the use of a working TV.

• Lenda (10/5): Steve and Bill from Edmonton, good guys. Thanks for the entertainment! - This is by far the best motel I’ve ever stayed in, and I stayed in a few. Use of the bbq and fire pit, botchie balls. Ran out of propane they replaced right away. Staff was awesome, including the little furry friend Duke. Definitely would stay there again. Like it all!

Everything is fresh and new, with a comfy spot to sit inside and comfy chairs outside as well as the BBQ area all still decked out for cozy chats or happy gatherings. A place we’ll stay again and recommend often.

The bed was really low to the ground and not very comfortable. My husband slept like a log though The gazebo and fire pit was really great, meet another couple there and hung out there all night, it was lovely. I would highly recommend this motel and we will be staying here again

• Alexis (10/5): - Despite the initial looks of the outside, the rooms are really nice. They're large, clean, and look recently renovated. They also have a BBQ and little space in the shade for people to sit & chat if you're travelling with others. I would absolutely return. It's right on the highway so easy to get to and it's right across the road from the Visitor Centre. Not everyone will care, but I have to recommend going to the park that's part of the Visitor Centre. If you stay here, you can walk and follow a short trail to a dog park. Despite being a dog park/beach, the water is nice and you can swim there. The park itself is really nice because they've clearly done a lot to upkeep the natural plant life. With so many berry bushes around I was shocked no bears attacked me. Truly beautiful little park. If you want to check out the Provincial Park, it's a 5 min drive (only more if you're like me and do some circles of the neighbourhood. This place is also about a 5 min walk from a grocery store/liquor store and 1 min walk from ice cream - and who can say "no" to ice cream?

• Marina (9/5): Hidden gem with many things to do. - This is a little gem at the perfect location, very nice owner (we got an upgraded room with full kitchen), the unit has everything you need. And it was quite even though it's located right at the highway. So many things to do in Christina lake! I always bring my pillow but forgot it this time, so a bed wasn't super comfy for me but hubby slept like a log:)

It is set up to not allow guests to set below 20 degrees which should be ok but we had trouble getting it below 23 degrees in the bedroom which made comfortable sleeping difficult.

• Chris (10/5): A motel worth booking - It’s honestly a very small, quaint, older motel and one of our favorite stops along our road trip so far. It’s old, but they have put good effort into upgrades and we were very comfortable during our stay. We love this type of place when we’re traveling - and for a one night stop over it was nothing short of perfect!

It was a quiet comfortable place to rest, and I feel that it is good value for your money. Another shout out the the cleaners and owners for the pride that you take in keeping these rooms immaculate! Across from your room they have a wonderful outdoor sitting area with propane fire pits that they will run at night for you to sit by the fire. As far as I could tell they had two pits. The grounds are kept in beautiful condition. Beds are a bit small and low to ground if you have mobility issues, but to be fair they may have accessible rooms that I didn’t look for. Anyways I would not let this deter you from staying here. I highly recommend this place!
