Guest Reviews
- Diane (8/5): - Location was perfect. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a restaurant on site, and though the breakfast wasn't included, there were choices and was very reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and quiet. The rooms were dated and there were few outlets. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room and the window had a screen so could be opened. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking.
- Guest (3/5): Hotel needs a new update - Didn’t have breakfast

- Alfred (7/5): Good - The location The rooms were not available when we arrived and had to rebook, paying separately to the Inn. Still waiting for confirmation from booking.com about refunding the initial payment.
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (1/5): Bad - We had a guaranteed reservation from Booking.com. when we got to the Haven Inn, they had no rooms available!!
- Nancy (8/5): - The property is aged, but very clean. The hot water was browny yellow and hot water ran out. We had tge turkey and beef special which was dry.

- Lorraine (10/5): - This well kept inn has friendly staff, is clean and comfortable, located next to small mall that has cariety of food options, walking distance to 24 hour Tim Hortons, free parking, easy short drive to l'anse aux Meadows and Norstead, Fishermans point.
- Charles (9/5): It was a Great place for our stay in St. Anthony. - There was no breakfast.
- Christine (7/5): Good - The property is pet friendly, so my hound and I were made to feel very welcome. Also, every single member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up! The staff are Haven Inn's greatest asset. The WiFi was also very reliable, and there were enough TV channels to keep me occupied during the evenings. 1) The room didn't have a refrigerator (I must have misread the description when booking, as I consider a fridge essential). It may not be important to many, but I like to travel with my own supply of perishables - proper milk for my coffee, snacks, cooked veg for my dog - and trooping to the main building every AM to get ice to keep them cool for another day became tedious. 2) The room was extremely dark thanks to the 'mustard' walls (even on a sunny day, our small front window - the only source of natural light - didn't brighten things up). Please choose a lighter shade next time. 3) It was not a quiet room. I could literally follow my immediate neighbors' conversations, and was awoken in the early hours by odd noises (from the main biilding's laundry room?).
- Terrance (8/5): Quick turnaround - call to get the hospital rate!! Much lower than this site!! - Staff N/A
- Holly (10/5): Wonderful - Very nice location and staff were very helpful N/a
- Lesley (6/5): Limit the parties - Clean and fair price. Dog park great. Very loud party next to our room, thumping music, etc. Stopped before midnight which was good. Above
- Yang (7/5): Good -
- Antoinette (10/5): Excellent night. - It was excellent

- Edward (8/5): Very good - I air conditioner
- Yu (5/5): Passable -
- Lisa (9/5): Loved it!!! - The staff were exceptional, the meal was fantastic. The room was very clean and met our needs. Parking was a little restricted as we have a big truck.
- Roly (10/5): Exceptional - Restaurant, room size All good
- BECKY (10/5): - Friendly staff, family atmosphere, knowledgeable of the area and ready with recommendations for great experiences.
- Linda (9/5): Superb - It was close to amenities and had a restaurant attached
- Graham (8/5): Good value but a little dated. - The room was large and clean. There is no A/C in the room, and the temperature was exceptionally hot for the week leading up to and including our stay. Therefore, the room was extremely hot. We opened the window and placed the fan on the ledge, but the outside air was too warm to cool the room
- Greg (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joseph (9/5): Superb - The restaurant was good. We enjoyed the meals. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The A.C. Wasn’t working and the room retained to much heat.
- Anne-Marie (8/5): Comfortable and clean - great motel - We only stayed one night but I’m glad we got a chance to stay here in St. Anthony. The motel is an older building but it’s in good condition and very comfortable. Staff are awesome - VERY friendly and welcoming. We were on a motorcycle trip so comfort is a big deal for us and the Haven Inn definitely gave us that. The restaurant was really good too. Would definitely recommend.
- Faron (8/5): - No fridge in room. Not good for middle of July. Front desk said they would get one from another room but never saw anyone after!!!
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Old style motel with clean rooms and helpful staff.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Nothing special but clean and convenient .
- Cartwright (3/5): Wouldn't stay again or recommend to others - There was no hot water, property very dated but clean, power outlets didn't all work so phone didn't charge, food was not very good, bland, breakfast awful Food, or the rooms themselves very dated, linens showing wear
- Adrixxy (5/5): quite basic - The Inn is in a good position, easy to find, with ample parking I was not happy with the cleanliness of the bed and the room, which was also quite noisy, being at the merging of three corridors. I was happy I only stayed one night.
- Guyette (8/5): Very good - Although the restaurant served breakfast, we were in a hurry so we went to Tim Horton's. However, we did have dinner there the previous evening. That was very convenient. Everything was fine.
- Rodger (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): - I only spent one night, and it was pleasant. The building had a series of ramps inside that made it very easy to carry the bags. Lovely staff!
- Dana (8/5): great staff in a dated hotel. - The staff was amazing. the issues I had with the hotel is that it’s dated. it’s an older hotel that it should be updated and the price was a bit higher than other hotels in the area that were more more modern.
- Rosemarie (8/5): Very good - Staff and location were friendly and pleasant Would have preferred the ground floor. Too many stairs to drag luggage up and down.
Otherwise beds, and room were comfortable. Would have been good to have a mini fridge.
- Sharon (10/5): - This hotel is very easy to find and the room was very nice. The property is well looked after and the staff are very nice folks. The dining was only open for supper when we were there, they might run longer hours later in the season. There is a shopping mall one block away with dining options and all the usual stores. The ladies at the desk gave us direction to everything we needed.
- Hamm (3/5): Poor - Nice, clean motel rooms. Beds very comfy The rooms we reserved (which were confirmed) were not available upon arrival. After driving 6 hours to get there and no other vacancies in the area, we stayed .There was one staff member who was quite rude on several occasions. Spent our 2nd night at a much more suitable establishment in the area
- Clarence (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional - rooms were clean. staff are nice
- Rick (6/5): average - Restaurant in hotel was very good Small rooms, tiny bathroom
- Chris (5/5): Passable -
- Domander (8/5): It did the trick. - Parking at the pet-friendly room's door. Staff offered that there were almost no gluten-free items except specific gluten-free bread, ignoring the gluten-free properties of foods such as eggs, and meats. Did not seem well-oriented in talking about gluten-free foods. So we avoided the food here. Interior is a bit aged. I think the pet-friendly rooms are the older units. Still ok. Walls are fairly thin.
- Richard (3/5): Fair at best - The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent near the mall and walkable to the Grenfell Heritage Center. Rooms smell old. Hot water works sometimes, and other times with very precise adjustments to the tap. Room was super hot also, in spite of the supied fan and a wide open window.
- Reid (8/5): Clean accommodations! friendly and courteous staff!! - Stay was as expected. Always stay here when in the area. n/a
- Sharon (5/5): Bad bed - great location, bit on the expensive side. My brother and wife were here from Ont, we stayed at the Haven. They had to sleep at the foot of the bed to keep themselves upright. We had a very late night, and according to the website they were booked. When we complained the next day we were told we should have gone to the front desk and told them about the bed. Well who wants to change rooms at 12:00 at night. They wouldn’t even give them a break on the price. very dissatisfied
- Pete (8/5): Basic, clean hotel room - Basic, clean hotel room. No particular complaints
- Judith (6/5): Satisfactory accomodation. - This inn is ok. Very basic. Quite clean However there was no air conditioning and the dining room was not open for dinner because there was not enough staff. That was inconvenient. However there was breakfast served at extra cost, of course.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Nice Spot to Stay - Arrived to find that they had no record of my reservation through Hotels.com. Reception, however, accommodated us and even offered to upgrade our room. As we were travelling with pets, we could not take the upgrade but the room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet. Great food in the restaurant.
- Lela (8/5): - Friendly staff and good location
- Bruce (2/5): - Staff was less then helpful.
Kitchen staff was just plane rude.
- Mark (8/5): - A basic hotel that met our needs. But we had problems with the internet (evidently not uncommon in St Anthony in general) and with the hot water supply (sometimes it was great, sometimes not so much). The staff was very friendly and helped as much as they could.
- Melody L (10/5): - great view, clean, great location...across the street from a mall
- betty (10/5): - The staff were super friendly and accommodating.
- dawn (8/5): okay - The hotel was okay nothing great. For some unknown reason they put us in handicap rooms. Both rooms had different items in it. Cold on the feet in the morning.
It was nice having the restaurant attached little pricey though.
- Gary (10/5): Excellent motel - It is an excellent place to stay in St. Anthony. The staff are very friendly. It is very clean
- sandra (10/5): Perfect! - The hotel is a bit out dated but absolutley perfect! The rooms are big and clean. The bed was very comfy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on site has delicious meals for great prices. Loved the omelettes! Great location as well!

- Paul (10/5): Clean, Quiet & Comfortable!!!! - It was an amazing trip.
- Wendy (10/5): - We booked this as a last minute stop and were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. Very friendly staff, food in the finish g room was good and easy to navigate around.

- Carol (8/5): Family vac - Great staff and great restaurant
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a very clean place. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was amazing. The food was all home cooked.
- Twyla (10/5): - Wonderful helpful staff and very good local food at the restaurant. Small dated but very comfortable room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, fair price, excellent service. Downside, our room did not have enough electric outlets for us to do some work on our laptops and charge phones at the same time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is convenient. The water is yellow and not drinkable. You have to pay for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very inviting, very clean and friendly quiet, restaurant services were great.
- Bill (10/5): - Liked the location. Very handy for viewing in the area.
