• lauren (5/5): okay plek in overvol samara, geen aanrader. - het is een rustiger plekje in het overvolle samara, we waren op doorreis, en zouden samara niet aanraden. deze plek is wel rustiger dat is fijn. maar erg out dated. het zwembad is fijn. de fotos zijn outdated, het zwembad is fijn maar de kamers zijn toe aan een modernisering. alles is erg oud. keuken half ingericht ( 3 mokken, 4 borden enz) badkamers redelijk. kasten stinken, dus daar niets ingelegd. nu heb ik gehoord dat ze net veranderd zijn van eigenaar, dus hopen dat het iets beter wordt.

The pool is small but with clear water. I can definitely recommend a stay in this resort. The pool area could have been kept a little bit more tidy.

• Johan (7/5): Redelijk wel mooi zwembadje - Mooi dorp Geel koelkast op kamer. Bier was op aan de bar en ondanks en dat met 6 gasten en 2 personen bezetting overdag. En niemand die maar even naar een winkel ging om het bij te vullen de standaard levering was pas na 3 dagen. Je kon ook zelf niks halen want er was geen koelkast. Personeel zit dan liever op telefoon dan gasten verzorgen.

• Guido (9/5): Laid back place in a calm area - The zone is along a dusty road far from the (relatively small) buzz of Samara but still at walking distance. The pool area is cozy, the management professional, the quality price ratio and a friendly night guardian sometimes feeding super cute raccoons. Fast breakfast service with tasty products. Triple rooms maybe somewhat small sized but with Samara’s great weather quite useless to spend time inside the room!

• Elisa (10/5): Tropical relaxing paradise setting - The owner, Clemencia upgraded our stay to an apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchenette, and living room/tv area and 2 balconies. One facing the pool and the other facing a garden and horse pasture. The latter having a small table and chairs perfect for your morning coffee or reading a book in a hammock. It was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for our 5 day stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a delicious breakfast included in our stay as well. The hotel has a nice tropical atmosphere with views to the jungle where you can see numerous species of birds and howler monkeys. The beach is a short 8 minute walk away and the town of Samara is just a little less than 2 km away. We enjoyed our stay so much we wished we could have stayed longer. My only recommendation would be to add orquídeas to the pool garden to attract more hummingbirds.

The staff is nice and polite, they let us leave the luggage there at our checkout and let us use the swimming pool shower before to leave in the afternoon. They should take care more of the swimming pool, the water was not quite clean, so I didn’t feel comfortable in using it
• Birte (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and clean room for three with two patios: one to the refreshing pool, the other is facing the garden. The beach nearby is stunning. Breakfast very tasty and nice and helpful staff around. We planned to stay for one night only and made it three.
• JOSE (10/5): - Samara Pacific Lodge is a hidden gem for our Samara adventure! The location was perfect. We could walk to the beach for some surfing in the mornings, then head into town for delicious local eats in the afternoons. In the evenings, the pool area was a lifesaver! Nice and refreshing, with plenty of comfy loungers to catch some rays and unwind. The staff here were incredible. Kenneth and Allen were so friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond with a smile. And breakfast every morning was a delicious way to start the day. Those pancakes – seriously, amazing! The room itself was big, with balcony. The bed was comfy, and everything was spotless. Just perfect for crashing after a day of fun in the sun.

• Peggy (8/5): Beautiful rural hotel close to town - Very friendly and helpful staff. The staff are efficient and delightful. Beautiful setting surrounded by monkeys, horses, cows, peacocks and at least one rooster. Great breakfasts. It’s possible to walk to the beach or into town from here although it is not close. The internet is not available in the Roma but sometimes in the garden area.

We were 5 in a room for 4 and the owner kindly gave us a blow up bed for our little one! The restaurant is very good, lovely breakfast with view on the pool and gardens. Fresh fruit and juice every morning were a great start to our day!

Breakfast was delicious. There was no wifi in the room, only around the swimming pool. Was good enough to use Whatsapp, but when I wanted to work a bit in the morning the internet was insufficient for that. Bit far from the beach if you plan to walk, but it's still ok.
• Theo (7/5): Good - Triple room was split in two which is more private. Location is good, 3min to Sámara by car. Rooms on the lower floor are dark and furniture are a bit old. Breakfast was average.

• Ross (7/5): Good - Staff were excellent. A father and son combo on front desk that truly make this hotel. No barman until 2pm was a bit of a let down for lunchtime cocktails. Surely 12pm would be more fitting. Breakfast was pretty decent. Checked in early and had breakfast which we were told could be charged or indeed we could forfit another day. We opeted for the forfit as we were checking out on our last day at 5am. That was great until the front desk guy told us his boss needed to charge us (A little crapp) Front desk guys make this llittle hotel. Would stay again. No cocktails until 2pm Lack of options on breakfast juices

We loved the layout of the hotel and the beautiful pool was perfect for swimming and bathing The bunk bed area of the room was very warm at night as the air con didn’t reach that part of the room well and the bunk bed moved quite a bit!

We stayed for dinner first night and they happily split our salad and entree to share. Also added chicken to the pasta entree. Breakfast was simple yet very good and healthy. Great Coffee! Out of town but still close. So quiet. Was about a 10 minute walk to the ocean at a less crowded beach. A small Bodega was well stocked just a few minutes away. The restaurant also had a small bar. Limited in it's offerings but worked fine. Like I said, like a retreat which was fine with me. My friend missed having a TV, not me. Although we missed having a mini fridge or at least a cooler. The beds could use some upgrades. I was fine but my friend has some back issues that a different mattress might have been better

• Andrea (7/5): Nice location, room was very basic and could have been more comfortable. - Good location, close to town but far enough away for it to be quiet. The secure parking. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was fresh. The mattress was very thin and the pillows were awful, very lumpy, we had to request additional ones. The shower temperature was hard to regulate and there wasn’t a fridge.

• Bailey (9/5): Superb - The facilities were beautiful and so clean. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating. The pool was beautiful. The location was great as it was 5 minute drive from downtown and maybe 10 minutes to the beach...so away from the busy center. The only thing that could use improvement are new pillows and maybe blankets. Otherwise we would stay here again and recommend. Thank you for having our Family of 7. The pillows. Blankets would be a nice addition

• Mauricio (7/5): just came there to sleep - :/ nothing you can find better hotels nearby. I asked for late checkout, and they tell ok but until 12pm, I was packing my suitcase at 11:00 and one guy almost broke the door, form me to hurry, when the day before I asked for for some extra time. This guy was rude. Also you have to step out of the car to open the gate to enter and to go out, no body helps with your luggage. Very loud rooms, around the pool. There not even a table to put your suitcase... The hotel need better maintenance. and to change the towels they were stained.... :(

• Thomas (10/5): Excellent stay, primary consideration for future stays will be onsite wifi strength improvements. - Loved Ronalds friendliness and The awesome tasting breakfast every morning. There is no Wi-Fi in the suite. Too weak signal overall. Not considering the Costa Rican wifi reliability which we understand is not in your scope.
• Seth (10/5): Beautiful hotel with great food - The hotel is very nicely arranged around a swimming pool, bar and restaurant. The restaurant food is a cut above most of the restaurants in Samara with a wonderful new Spanish chef. The only drawback was the road into the hotel, in horrible condition but not that big of a deal as a short ride. We know the area well as we live in the mountains above.
• David (10/5): Perfect for couples and familly! - All the staff was amazing! We felt welcomed and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good too! The restaurant of the hotel was okay but little bit expensive the the portions at night, but breakfast was great.
• Timothy (6/5): Friendly workers, Great Breakfast. No frills - The front desk and owner were awesome. Surprised that they didn't have a little frig/coffee maker in the room and the hotel didn't have ice unless you went to the front desk during working hours. Drink prices were reasonable. The made to order breakfast in the morning was a nice added touch. We went during the off season, so there were very few guests. The 3 rooms is a bit deceiving, the beds are basically the same that they would be in a double bed hotel, except they put up a wall and a window....no privacy. Bathroom should have been in the middle and the two bedrooms on the ends.
• Stephanie (10/5): - Amazing! Kids loved the pool. The location was spectacular and easy access too beach and town. Our check in process and individual was so friendly and helpful in every single way. Breakfast was delicious every day-kids loves the pancakes. Would definitely recommend this location.
• Walden (10/5): - The hotel was clean and well staffed, with the reception service excellent. No dinner or lunch was served but the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from town and beach. Close enough to walk but on a dusty road.

• Giovanni (8/5): Nice quiet family friendly place - Extremely friendly staff, always willing to help and go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable. The room had an AC and 2 fans, a nice bathroom with hot water and a balcony. Nice pool. The restaurant is closed due to the pandemic, but they do have breakfast and a selection of nice cocktails.
• Amanda (10/5): - Loved the stay here. Felt authentic but had the amenities of home. Beautiful pool and bar area. Great staff and yummy breakfast! So cool to hear the animals all night too.
• walter (8/5): - Nice place. Completely packed with mostly French tourists. Good breakfast, nice staff, and even though they say that you are 5 minutes walking to the beach, it’s minimum 5 minutes by car. After walking one way for 30 minutes on a very dusty road, we turned back.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay at Samara Pacific Lodge was great! The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The pool and dining areas were very well maintained and breakfast was good. Rooms are simple but were clean and had well-working AC. Parking is free, on-site, in a gated lot. The location is outside of downtown Samara but within 15 minute walking distance (20 minutes to walk along the beach). We would highly recommend this property!
• Alicia (10/5): Great week long stay! - Our family really enjoyed our week long stay at Samara Pacific Lodge. The owner and staff are all so wonderful! The family room was very basic (no fridge or anything), but the front desk allowed us to keep drinks in their fridge for us. The breakfast had 2 options (pancakes with fruit salad or typical- rice/beans, eggs and toast), and both were delicious. The fruit salad was so fresh and delicious. The fresh squeezed juice every morning was excellent. Oh and their homemade jam- especially the pineapple was SO GOOD! The rooms and grounds were clean, the parking was behind a gate with a passcode, and the front desk was most helpful with any info. The pool is quite deep, but there is a small shallow pool for kids if needed. The chairs/loungers around the pool were comfortable as well. Definitely recommend staying here!

• Roberto (8/5): El personal es genial. - Bastante bien, el personal es súper archi recontar Ultra amable, sobre todo la muchacha que atiende ea genial. La habitación no tiene tele, y no es muy bonita realmente, pero, tiene todo lo necesario, realmente me parece una buena opción para ir a Samara. La piscina súper bien y el parqueo seguro. El desayuno muy completo y sabroso
• Daniel (8/5): Pacific Lodge Overview - Samara Pacific Lodge was a great place to stay and relax. Staff was very friendly and quick to provide service. We would gladly stay there again. Two recommendations: improve WiFi in garden area; our room located in the garden had very poor WiFi with frequent outage. Although location is in walking distance from the town and the beach, do don’t want to walk there after dark (6 pm) because of packs of dogs who can be very aggressive. We were attacked twice and one lady was bitten. Suggest working with the municipality to address this issue
