Guest Reviews
- Jennifer P. (8/5): It was A-OK place to stay for the location of my business trip but, I was not there during the day. - Location, refrigerator, TV, Cleanliness The bathtub is all rusted out,
- Victoria (10/5): - Absolutely peaceful Having to go back home
- Victoria (10/5): - Absolute peaceful
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Guido (2/5): Surprisingly surprised that it was such a worn down room! - Friendly reception. The room was not clean, dirty floor and shelve. Holes in the wall and door, no shower curtain etc.
- George (5/5): Great value - Great value, but nothing fancy. Dated, dead crickets on floor
- Rebecca (1/5): -
- Morin (3/5): TERRIBLE! - Pictures online are better than in person! The room had bad odor and too many damn flys! They bothered us all night!!
- Taylor (8/5): - It was your typical inexpensive motel quiet not a lot of people in the middle of nowhere loved it There wasn't many places to eat late at night but really no complaints that's just the area It really exceeded
- Halley (4/5): - It was a pretty run down motel. Bugs in the room. Definitely a lower end stay.
- Kelly (4/5): Eeeeeee - Location Bugs
Bathtub horrible. No plugs by sink or in bathroom
- Justin (1/5): Absolutely not - Nothing Tried two different rooms, first smelled like cigarettes and burnt chemicals, everything was covered in surface rust, and there was black mold on the ceiling with a large patch behind the toilet in the bathroom. Second room I tried was slightly better but still had black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. I check for bed bugs in every room I stay in and when I checked the mattress in both rooms there were no bed bugs but there were bug pieces or something in the stitching along with what looked like years worth of food crumbs and other unknown things. Checked out and went somewhere else. Don’t be fooled by the listed pictures. Stay away from here. Plenty of places to stay for a little more money.
- Susan (2/5): Sleep Can Wait - We walked in, turned around, and walked out. We did not even stay because we couldn't imagine crawiling into those beds or laying our head on those pillows. The office smelled of curry and incense and the bathroom was terrible. I couldn't get a refund, but it was a lesson learned, and I just considered it paying NOT to stay there. We just continued on to our next destination, because apparently the risk of falling asleep at the wheel was a better option than that motel.
- Justin (1/5): This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Avoid this place!!! - The location is the only good thing about it. This was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The outside was filthy, there were drug deals going down in the parking lot, there were 2 rooms that were trying to operate a car repair service out of them, the room I stayed in was disgusting! Ceiling was falling in, tub was gross, shower didn't work, filth all over, bugs everywhere, moldy smell, air didn't work well, crown molding falling off, a door to the room next door was in my room and was taped off, TV remote was sticky, front staff were not friendly and acted like I was bothering them to check in and out, and overall paying $100 a night with no way to cancel was awful! I had to sleep with a weapon next to me for fear I was not safe. I cannot say one good thing about this experience. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!
- Busby (7/5): a-ok - everything was fine cold outside heater worked very well tv selection great cracked window in bathroom piece of glass falling out
- Tracy (10/5): - Thanks very clean
- Joe (8/5): - Priced right!
- Justina (1/5): it was a last min option available - the staff was prompt It was really old, dark, musky and dirty.. have dead flies in the bathroom
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trinity (8/5): Stranded yet Comfortable - Bayers Bakery nearby Meunster is literally in the middle of nowhere texas.
- Sereta (6/5): - For starters, my expectations were low for a sixty dollar per night room. The staff was okay. The area was okay, not much to look at in this town. I walk in, it looked as expected and actually smelled good. The problem came when I pulled out my disinfecting wipes. They became black the more I cleaned. I also saw 3 roaches later that night.
- Hans (8/5): Very good -
- Vernon (2/5): Very disappointed with the room considering the price. - Nothing Bathroom was a mess, dingy tub, hole in the wall, cracks in the paint. Beds were hard and no coffee pot.
- Stephanie (3/5): Scary and hot - It was easy to find. There were enough beds for all 5 of us, 3 adults, 2 kids. It’s an extremely old motel badly in need of some updates. There was a couch in the room that should have been thrown away a long time ago. The room had a bad odor, not strong enough to make you sick, but bad. The one window unit in the room would not cool the room in the least. My grandkids wore their socks so as not to be barefoot in the room. Their socks were completely black from the floor in the room. There were rat droppings behind the couch, yes we pulled the couch out and looked. There were some scary looking men sitting in front of some of the rooms, I heard them talking and they live there. I felt reasonably safe since we had a gun, and a watch dog and my son in law, a retired Marine was with us. As a woman I would not have stayed here alone. The man in the office was extremely unfriendly. Bad choice, we survived, won’t stay there ever again.
- LindaEllen (8/5): - Close to everything I wanted to see.
- Fernando (2/5): - Did not like this property the room smelled bad there were no alarm indicators on the room. The shower was not good. I will not recommend this something. I will take it off your list that needs to be inspected.
- Dianey (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): - .
- Bertha (8/5): Very good - It was just like any other older Motel nothing special. Could use a painting and tub was a little rusty just didn't take no shower.
- jerry (4/5): - Room smelled had to spray with Lysol to stay in there deadbolt did not work had to put chair against the door Overall bad experience place also looked to have long term resident
- Mack (1/5): Bad - Nothing It was filthy...we ended up stuck there for 3 nights because we had covid and I was too sick to drive elsewhere. I was horrified at the condition of the room as soon as we arrived. I have honestly never stayed anywhere that looked like this. The first thing I saw was that pillow case on the bed was dirty, the towel hanging on the towel bar was stained, the whole bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold spots, the bathtub was dirty, the window was also broken, there were dead crickets on the floor, I took pics because I could not believe how gross it was. I had to call and ask if we could stay another night because I was so sick and rather than charge us the $89 rate we had gotten...he charged my card a much higher rate...but never told me he was charging more than the other two nights.. It's it so skeevy and creepy...like something out of a movie.
- Michael (9/5): good value, will stay again - Pretty clean and everything worked there was no ice machine, facility is aging, some upgrades in place and hopefully they will keep coming
- Wallace (8/5): Good stay - The property is older, but some updates have been done. Owner was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable for a great price.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (6/5): - I liked the a/c the tv. The room had bugs not very clean and the tolliet and bath tub was rusty
- Benson (10/5): Perfect - Everything was fine
- Arnold (2/5): - Absolutely filthy, no hot water, walls and ceiling very poorly patched holes. This hotel should be condemned and razed.
- Milton (9/5): Superb -
- Maurice (7/5): Other than the bed bug was a pleasant stay. - Price of room Bed bugs
- Sue (8/5): - The property is old and very basic but very clean. Friendly staff. The town is very friendly and there are fun things to do.
- Calvin (1/5): Never again - Nothing Everything
- David (3/5): Poor -
- Kody (1/5): Bad - Nothing at all Everything about it
- Slimak (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): - Great shower pressure and Hot water. Amazing pillows. Slept like a baby.
- Amanda (8/5): Name of the hotel pretty much describes it, ay ok - Needed an affordable place to crash for the night and found this place, the reviews said no bugs and clean so we went for it. Its a bit run down and could use updating and better comforters but its decent to crash for a night.
- Robert (2/5): Looks like a JUNK YATD - The outside of this hotel looks like a junk yard. I didnt even check in canceled my reservation and had to pay a fee for doing so. If the pictures on Hotels.com had ben accurate i never would have booked this hotel.
- Jack (2/5): - It was the most rundown motel I have ever seen. The bathroom was absolutely terrible along with the bed
- Terry (2/5): - We arrived late. We could not stay because there was no one to give us our room and key. We would like a refund if our money. Ended up sleeping our car!
- Greg (1/5): I won't be staying here again. - The room was a room, but not what I reserved. I reserved a single king sized bed, I got two twin beds. Deadbolt did not work, so much filth and debris on the floor that my feet were black on the bottom. Noise from the adjoining room, a lot of noise from the bar across the street.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Don (8/5): - Close to restaurants and facilities
- Jessica (7/5): Good - The hospitality was amazing. My room was clean. We couldn’t get a Uber to Oktoberfest so Rosh I’m thinking he’s the owner took us there and picked us up afterwards . Sonic is next door so that’s great. The bathrooms need renovation
- Thomas P (2/5): - Old, run down, dirty, nasty!
- Frank (4/5): - It was a very old run down hotel as armost of the buildings in town. Tape on the door to the next room to keep it shut. Very run down and not kept up. Wasteof money
- Orkatraz (4/5): Disappointing - The owners were helpful. I didn't have a car with me but they offered to drive me to nearby towns if I needed it Cockroaches in the bathroom, 4 of them. Bath tub was stained. It's a very simplistic motel
- Shirley (4/5): Office staff needs to be knowledgeable in registering and be able to communicate in English - What breakfast Rooms needed towels, hand towels and wash clothes. Door faces wiped down, for they where dirty. Motel could use a update.
- Chuck (8/5): Very good -
- Cassaundra (7/5): Decent place and we’d stay again. - This priority is convenient for the concert we attended in Saint Jo. The motel is obviously home to some people but that didn’t bother us. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We’ll stay again. Be forewarned that there is nothing open after around 9 for food or gas! The place is a little rundown. But to be expected given the location.
- Chris (2/5): - Room was clean but smelt of 100,000 old cigarettes'. Couldn't sleep due to the smell, left at 4 AM and continued my trip. Broke down vehicles in the parking lot.
- Candace (9/5): Nice quiet time - Nice an quiet Nothing
- Erin (6/5): - Dead cockroaches in room. Lots of strange people hanging around. Staff was very friendly
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -

- Greg (8/5): Everything was good! -
- Irene (2/5): - We was very disappointed in the room
- KELLY (8/5): - Management is very personable. Room is adequate for just an overnight.
- KELLY (8/5): - My home is being remodeled. Motel is convenient.
- Danny (1/5): Bad - Manager was very nice! Room 18 was extremely unsanitary. I was not expecting, but understand that oilfield and ranch workers stay here.
Just think they could update their cleaning routine and maintance.
- Oliva (4/5): meh - not much it smelled like cigarettes in my room even tho it was non smoking
- carla (2/5): - Nothing
- Dale (5/5): Passable -
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ramon (8/5): Very good -
- Bill (4/5): - Found dirty towel, wash cloth and underwear in room
- Desiree (3/5): I know it's low budget, but a little TLC can go a long way. - Nothing. Everything. Beds were hard, pillow were small, not enough towels, the cockroaches
- JAMES (10/5): - easy in easy out
- Danny C. (8/5): - Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and AC was great.
Great value.
- Arlene (6/5): - Convenient for our needs!
- John (2/5): - We went to a concert in nearby Saint Jo and this was the nearest motel to the venue that was not a high dollar bed n breakfast so we didn't mind roughing it for the night. I would not recommend this dump to anyone otherwise.
- Carl (4/5): - cost was reasonable but had no chair in the room and shower was either hot or cold.
- Elisa (8/5): - It was ok quite only thing was the a/c not too cold but it was ok weather wasn’t too hot
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic room for the night. - Booked room late. Arrived and staff was friendly. Room was clean, had some smoke smell but fine for a place to sleep. Bathroom needs updating. Overall, not bad.
- Joseph (6/5): - Some of the other people staying at the motel were pretty sketchy - they were partying in the parking lot overnight with loud talking, drinking, and FIRES.
- James (4/5): - The floor has not been mopped in a long time. Nothing sound proof at all. People living in rooms up all night.
