- Giacomo (10/5): Bellissima esperienza! Abbiamo fatto comodamente late check out. Nulla di che
- Vishal (8/5): -
- Robert (9/5): Very nice stay - Friendly and helpful staff. Big and comfortable room. Centrally located within walking distance of all sights within the city center The only downside was the fact that the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner (though it was open for breakfast)
- Annalisa (7/5): - The property is in a nice location, close to the city centre. It is possible to reach the fort and the havelis on foot. The room was big and had a nice view on the fort. We had breakfast and lunch and it was good, with many options. Upon check- in we received some nice tips on how to organize our stay and we were allowed to do a late check out with no extra charges. The room could have been cleaner and the bathroom toiletries were scarce. Also there was a lot of noise during the night and the curtains were not blocking the day light.
- Manorama (10/5): - Seeing Jaisalmer palace in the night was amazing
- Neil (8/5): - Brilliant architecture beautiful building with stunning views of the fort especially at sunset. The staff were very helpful and always giving us free water. The food was tasty and autistic and rooftop tables with candle light Pool was slightly cold but it's a minor problem as it was quite refleshing.
- Catherine (10/5): Comfortable hotel with great views of the fort. It’s a newish hotel but fits in with the local heritage architecture. - Big rooms, very clean and comfortable
- Lachlan (10/5): - Great staff very helpful. Great room, big and great facilities. Great money's worth.
- Vijay Soman (10/5): Excellent - The hotel is built from the golden stone typycal of Jaisalmer, and internal decor resembles the old places with carved stone arches and the rooms also feature such architenture giving a feeling of libving in a palace of your own witha lot of charm. Our room window faced the fort which when ligthed up at night is beautiful. The food was excellent. GThe manager and staff were very helpful andf provided us with good local infirmation and a very good guide. Nothing that we did not like.
- Flasinski (10/5): - Ok
- Michele (10/5): Great local family run hotel place with the most fantastic view of the fort. Wonderful - We loved staying here. It is a very comfortable rooms and hotel. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Thwte is a great view of fort from the roof top restaurant of which there are two. Food and service was good. It was a fairly short walk to the fort. Nice team of staff. Very helpful. There is an indoor pool but we didnt use it. Water every day. Laundry facility. WiFi. We did an afternoon and evening in the desert....simple, no singing and dancing, was lovely. We stayed 4 nights. Was at a relaxed pace. Jaisalmer has some amazing things to see in and outside of the fort. Kettle in room was great. We liked it all.
- Sayuri (10/5): Great stay with very good rooms and exceptionally kind service - The driver and staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and the rooms were very good, comfortable and well kept. I accidentally forgot a bag in the car on the way to the airport, and the driver came back quickly to return it, which was incredibly thoughtful
Also have a great restaurant with nice view to the fort Nothing to complain
- elisabeth (10/5): Au top !!!

- robert (10/5): Sublime séjour à Lal Garh Fort and Palace.
- Kathryn (9/5): Perfect location with perfect hosts - The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk to the Fort and Havelis. What made the stay was the people. They couldn't do enough to help you. Anything you needed or any assistance and they were there for you, all smiles. The restaurant is separate but breakfast was fine for what we needed and the beer cold! All in all a great place. Not much! It would be nice to have real coffee but that's a western viewpoint and not important.
- Daniel (1/5): Hotel good but don't book desert trip there. Its totally not worth and overpriced. - The hotel is very good ( for Indian standards). We could leave our lagguage there before check in and after check out Unfortunately we were persuaded to book a desert trip with the hotel. We were not sure about doing it but they said if you don't like you don't have to pay. I want to add that we mentioned there before booking the trip, that we already did a desert trip in anothere country and we're not happy because the people didn't bring us to the real desert. And we knew that in the city you get the same desert trip for 1/4 price. But we thought it is a good hotel, so the experience should also be good and let's pay more for this quality hoping not to be disappointed again. Indeed we where brought there by normal car. ( way back for 3 minutes by jeep). In the "desert " where we ate we met a normal cow, and dogs,... such animals should not survive in the real desert. ( Food we ate there was very good and people doing the trip were very friendly). Doing the trip we tried doing the best of it and enjoing what we had. After we were asked by the same person how it was after getting back we told him it was not what we expected and that we are very disappointed because it was not the sand dunes and the experience that he promised. The same guy who offered that we don't have to pay if we are not happy afterwards from the hotel didn't even offer a discount. We had to pay all. We stressed, that this trip was really disappointing and more expensive than others...but no offer of discount even if this person offered us in the beginning " no good no pay". You can maybe go to the hotel, but don't trust that and don't book desert trips there.

- Witold (9/5): Ładne miejsce w dobrym punkcie - Duży pokój, wygodne łóżko i komfortowa łazienka. Dobre położenie - prawie wszędzie można dotrzeć piechotą. Basen - kuszący, ale woda lodowata.
- Aaron (10/5): - Good location close enough to the fort and near a market. The staff were very accommodating and the rooftop restaurant is very good.
- Daniel (9/5): - Super
- Amitava (8/5): -
- Sandeep (9/5): - It is a comfortable stay and offers good value for money. Breakfast was not included in the package, and dining costs were very high.
- Gerald (9/5): Jaisalmer is brilliant, - Very welcoming, good communication, good location, restaurant very good Pool was cold. But must be lovely in the summer
- Trushant (8/5): - Checkin and food was extremely good. staff was very helpful. Mosquitoes in the room and some kind of a smell in the room.
- anne (9/5): Great stay in Jaisalmer - Comfortable place to stay with friendly helpful staff. The building itself is very attractive from the outside and has many nice features throughout. You can walk easily to the famous havelis. The fort and lake are a 150 roupee tuk tuk ride away. The restaurant is good value and a nice place to eat, particularly at the rooftop area at night. Thoroughly recommend.
- Richa (9/5): -
- Sanjeev (8/5): - Very helpful staff..neat and clean rooms
- Uwe (9/5): Atmosphärischer Haveli in guter Lage.
- Onkar (10/5): - The hospitality was top notch. Staff was polite and helpful, especially Sultan. Rooms were neat and clean.
- Martin (9/5): Great Hotel that ticked the boxes - The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring both the town and Fort, which is an absolute must for anybody visiting.
All of the staff, from director Tony Darren were exceptionally helpful and friendly and we could not have been made to be more welcome. We had an upgraded room with a fantastic view of the fort and would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody and stay here again if we return. Whilst the room was excellent, it did not look as though it had been properly cleaned before we arrived with quite a lot of dust around, but in the overall scheme of things that is a very small criticism
- Sam (9/5): Great hotel in a lovely, friendly town. - The room was big and very comfortable with a great view. The staff are really kind and helpful. The restaurant is very good. Jaisalmer is a charming town. Everything is great.
- Tim (9/5): - Nice big room with great view of the fort. Nice food in restaurant. Some of the staff were excellent (Sultan) A bit pushy when trying to sell in their tour package
- Kathrin (10/5): It was a very good stay, we enjoyed our Time - That it was heated was great. No water heater in the Room
- Andrew (10/5): - Great hotel with very friendly and accommodating hosts. They went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable. I would definitely stay again!
- Snehit (9/5): - Staff is good & very helpful. Everything is good.
Suggestion- Restaurant can be upgraded with theme setting open air view is wonderful.
- Garretson (10/5): -
- rupinder (10/5): -
- UNNI (9/5): - The location is very good. Right in the city centre. Sufficient parking is available.
Rooms are excellent. Spacious rooms with all amenities.
The restaurant is very good. Excellent food.
Overall our experience is very good.
- Laura (10/5): - Perfect , A perfect stay.
The director is genuinely kind and truly attentive to his guests, as is the whole team, who work every day to offer the very best.
On top of that, it’s the best restaurant in the area.
This hotel is truly the heart of the city, and it shows in everything they do and share
- Sara (9/5): -
- Tehana (9/5): Amazing staff, walking distance to local markets, great service - For me it was the staff that made the stay really good, they were so accommodating and helpful. Sultan dropped me off at the bus, and also helped me collect a few items. I was glad to have the help. The food at the hotel is pretty good as well if you don’t feel like leaving. The room was comfortable and the view from the rooftop and restaraunt sections was nice. The air con unit was dusty and probably needs a service. I also noticed that my mattress was stained and the pillows are probably due for replacement. The hot water runs out after about 4 minutes.
- Hemesh (8/5): - these was very loud music outside due to a wedding and all the guests in the hotll coudn't sleep timm 12.30 in the nught, also the pool wasn't very clean
- charlesallen15 (9/5): -
- Subhendra (10/5): - We had a excellent and comfortable stay. Staff members are very helpful. Hotel restaurant is good and serves good and tasty items at a reasonable price. Overall we had an excellent experience.
- Patrick (10/5): - Was so good we are coming back from a 2nd night!
- Simone (10/5): - We stayed here for a second time and it was even better! We got a great room with view on the fort and enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We relaxted in the hotel the entire afternoon and the kitchen is great, with the best sunset view on top of the hotel. Almost felt like a resort! And all this for a great price.
- La Guardia (9/5): -
- Julie McGowan (10/5): - From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. A real home from home experience. Our luggage 🧳 was left on Delhi and the hotel were on hand to provide toothbrushes. Sultan ran to the market to get us a charge cable and our troubles all forgotten.
The view over the fort is incredible and the food some of the best we have had in India 🇮🇳
Great value for money we loved Jaisalmer
Thank you Nothing
- Simone (9/5): Perfect! - They help you with everything. We booked a dessert safari somewhere else and they facilitate even after check out, and offer you enough water for your trip. The room was also very cool, it feels like a castle! Great value for money, defenitely recommend. Happy that I booked a night again!
- Birgit (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Superb place to stay in Jaisalmer - Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. We had a large and spacious room. All the staff members were keen to help in any way possible. From start to finish we had a perfect stay. The restaurant has great views of the Fort and serves a good quality and range of food. Hotel made recommendations of where to buy souvenirs at a fair price. If returned to Jaisalmer would stay here again without any hesitation. Nothing - everything was great. Thank you.
- Acharya (10/5): - The hotel amenities was fantastic and the food also delicious. The staff of hotel are very cooperative. There is nothing to dislike
Rien
- Shulman (10/5): It was perfect. - The room was extraordinarily beautiful. The staff were superb. I'd like to mention in particular Sultan, at the reception, who was tremendously helpful in many ways. The Lalgarh is a gem. The view from our window, of the fort, was spectacular.
- stevepazzaia (9/5): -
- Ying (7/5): Good -
- Soumitra (10/5): - Excellent location at the heart of town. Very clean and well maintained facility built with stone, similar to what the kings of the bygone era would do. This property is accessible by car unlike many old havelis around the town. Vie from the hotel room of the Golden Fort was mesmerizing and you can have the view from their rooftop dining too. They have tours to deserts and other locations that are safe and family friendly. I would come back to this special Fort Hotel if there's an opportunity in the horizon.
- hariomj2025 (10/5): Hospitality at it's peak. - An outstanding accommodation with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. This was one of the best hotel, I have been to so far a place to relax urse if frm the busy life. Hospitality offered was at peak, the staff being employed had grt working experience and the room was great. We were sad to leave. An oasis of tranquility.
- Leigh (8/5): Very good -
- Marion (8/5): Very good - We arrived late and were provided with a large complimentary bowl of fresh fruit. Staff could speak good English and were very helpful when we were unwell, they even offered to call a doctor. The heritage style of the hotel was nice and our room was large with a seating area in the bay window. The swimming pool was a bonus. Within walking distance of the famous havelis and the fort. Room was quite dusty as the windows aren't a perfect fit. There was no fridge in the room (but looking back at the description it wasn't stated). There were no tea making facilities but the hotel did offer cooled bottles of water on request. As it was low season there was no lunch or dinner menu but they did offer to get food in from other restaurants.
- Climber40413020622 (10/5): CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT VISIT - Sultan is a fantastic manager and made us feel right at home, while offering a professional and 5 star service. On our 2nd night here the power went out, but only for a moment until the back up generator kicked in. Other local hotels that are amidst the vibrant, wonderful streets that is Jaiselmer are still in darkness. Oh and the pool. This is a gem.
For a stay that is within walking distance to everything, this is unbelievable.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - The room was huge and fabulous! The restaurant was only open for breakfast as not peak season, I was not told this when I booked
- Alexandra (10/5): Best spot on Jaisalmer - One of our favorite hotels in India. Rooms are large and comfortable, with great views. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the pool, restaurant and rooftop were all well maintained and worth visiting. Would definitely stay here again! Nothing
- Navneet (8/5): Superb - Tidy and clean
- susantI1102VS (10/5): Great location and first rate service. - Beautiful and atmospheric haveli in the centre of Jaisalmer, 10/15 walk to the Fort. The staff were extremely accommodating, could not do enough for us: recommending restaurants and tailors, leaving us a room to use after checkout as we had an evening train, etc. Highly recommended.
- Rosemary (10/5): Fabulous and one of those secret gems in life - The staff were outstanding. Kind, attentive, efficient and professional. This included Sultan who welcomed us and dealt with check in and all our requirements including excursions and Padam and his brother Ganpat who took us on an overnight desert camp organised by the hotel. We felt incredibly safe in their hands.
We stayed in room 210 which felt luxurious and raj like and was spotless.
The location was perfect for strolling to sites of interest.
Our onward travel involved a midnight train to Bikenar and we were kindly given a comfortable and complimentary room to rest in until our departure.
The safari offered was excellent and our luggage was stored safely at the hotel.
This was one of the nicest hotels during our months stay in Rajasthan. It’s a great find. Sadly we were unable to eat in the restaurant as it was the end of the season and was closed. However there are plenty of places around.
- sunshin_p (10/5): Very good - One of the best stay at a very reasonable price. The rooms were very good. Staff was very attentive and service oriented. Mr sultan was very cooperative and helped us a lot. He arranged for a local guide for a quick half day tour at a very rwasonable price. This helped us to manage limited time we have well.
The roof top view is good.
The drawback is that there is no breakfast included in package.
The food was not good at all.
We tried a near by restaurant Dosaka - south Indian food - very good taste at reasonable price.
Paekin
- Tharp (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amit (10/5): View of fort, beautiful property! - Great stay, friendly and helpful staff—special mention to Sultan who walked us all the way to sunset point and stood out in terms of service! Excellent stay and highly recommend this hotel. The rooftop view of Jaisalmer fort is amazing and dinner by candlelight creates a beautiful atmosphere. Don’t miss this place if you are looking for comfortable stay in a traditionally decorated property with exceptional service!
- Jain (10/5): Exceptional - Rooftop restaurant view of the fort was very beautiful. Food price in the restaurant.
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional - Everything they are so brilliant, sultan was brilliant Nothing it was perfect!
- Gemma (10/5): A golden stay in the golden city - The hotel itself is great, the rooms are well appointed and if you need something just ask, definitely recommend rooms with view of fort, food at restaurant is delicious and plenty to choose from, the highlight for me was all the staff, so helpful, so much knowledge, went well above and beyond to make our stay memorable, so much so we extended to include a night under the stars in the desert, where Padam and his team made such a special experience, can't recommend this hotel and restaurant enough, thank you to all staff, would absolutely stay here again There was nothing worth mentioning
- Debbie8115 (10/5): Really excellent hotel! - We arrived at 0530 on the overnight train from Bikaner. The hotel was full the previous night so we couldn’t get a room at that time, but we were given somewhere comfy to rest and some water - and as soon as someone checked out the room was immediately made ready for us - by 0900 :)
A stunning room (107), comfy bed, great bathroom - brilliant value.
The staff were great - giving us recommendations on must visit places, restaurants, tuk tuk and taxi fares. Location is good - 5-10 minutes walk to main attractions and fort.
The hotel restaurant is very good and has amazing views of the fort.
We arranged a night at a desert camp through the hotel - great organisation, we were driven there by one of the hotel team and he checked throughout our stay that everything was ok. We left our main bags at the hotel while off in the desert, and they even gave us a room to rest when we got back while we waited to depart for our 15.30 train to Jodhpur.
As I said at the start - a really excellent hotel, one of our favourites in India so far (and we’ve been here for 2 months)….
- Vered (10/5): Great stay in Jaisalmer - We highly recommend Hotel Lal Garh. They were the most accommodating hotel of our trip. We did the camel ride and sleep the night in the desert and the hotel gave us access to a room after that finished to shower etc before leaving, all free of charge. Very friendly staff and the hotel itself is of high quality. The rooms are great. The rooftop restaurant is also great, with a beautiful view of the fort. Affordably priced too.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - This is a well-run hotel located 10 minutes walk from the centre of Jaisalmer. The staff are very helpful and the rooftop restaurant has a great view of the fort and serves very good food. The camel safari organised by the hotel was a highlight of our trip - it was arranged for just the two of us and the price was reasonable. Our driver Papu and camel man Sambu were both really knowledgeable and had a decent level of English. We spent the night in the desert under the stars and were very impressed with the seamless organisation and delicious food cooked on an open fire. Can definitely recommend. Nothing to not like
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Good evening food nothing too much trouble for all the staff a good set of people work here Nothing
- Anisha (8/5): Luxurious and easy stay - The room was HUGE! Larger than we were expecting, clean and well decorated, with a beautiful view of the fort, and sunset/sunrise. The hotel's restaurant also has great views of the city. The location is on a busy main road that is hard to walk on, but it's still a short walk to the major Havelis, as well as the Fort itself. The staff were very friendly and we were well taken care off throughout the stay. They arranged a day trip for us to their desert camp, with camel ride, music/dance performance and dinner. Overall, a wonderful experience. The food in the restaurant was okay-- didn't live up to the great views.
- Shivali (9/5): Nice stay - Clean property, nice staff and a comfortable stay Only issue we had was that the hot water ran out quickly and the staff were unable to fix the problem
- Kevin (10/5): So good we stayed an extra couple of days, after our night in the desert - Special thanks to Padam Singh, not only for an excellent desert trip but also for being a genuine, nice chap who went out of his way to make us feel welcome!! 😀 Music from nearby weddings was pretty loud so bring earplugs if you're staying during wedding season!!
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Nice hotel with a good rooftop restaurant giving a beautifull view over the Jaisalmer Fort.
- Kevin (10/5): Beautiful hotel with friendly staff - The hotel is a lovely place to stay. The architecture is very traditional and the rooms are in the same golden stone style as the city. The rooms are also decorated in the same style with nice fabrics and solid wood furniture.
The room was large and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly.
We left our luggage when we went on the desert trip and could have a room to use when we got back.
The restaurant on the roof was perfect for meals and views over Jaisalmer and the fort. The food was delicious and the staff very professional and attentive.
We booked an overnight desert safari through the hotel and it was the most wonderful experience.
Padam Singh was a great guide and with Mr Kem, they took us to the dunes by camel, cooked us a lovely meal and we spent the night under the stars in a warm bed. We saw a beautiful sunset and sunrise, it was peaceful and tranquil and It really made our holiday in Jaisalmer. Nothing, it was perfect and we would definitely stay again.
- Ravinder (9/5): Superb - Very hygenic, superb services
- Tomi (9/5): Superb - Big rooms. We got a late check out room free of charge where we could relax and take a shower before our flight out. Cold rooms in December. We got a heater after 3 times asking, maybe poor English was a problem with some of the staff
- jessicaeC9435JR (10/5): Excellent hotel! - Excellent hotel in Jaiselmer. We had a very comfortable stay here and the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and large. We used the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast and dinner and had delicious and beautiful food too.
- Nicola (9/5): Easy, comfortable and relaxed. Good quality for our price range. - Great hotel, very professional helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was facilitated with no hassle. Room and bathroom were spacious and elegant and it was excellent value for money. No big deal but thought breakaways included in price but it was extra. Still good value though.
- daskd24 (8/5): Comfortable stay with a view - Well rounded experience. Room had nice view of the Jaiselmer fort. All amenities were provided. They also arranged for dune safari etc at standard prices.
Room was cozy with a colorful decor.
Staff was very friendly.
Food was on the spicier side.
- Jamie (9/5): Lovely - The view was fantastic and the staff also were! The hotel aesthetics were nice! There were hot showers too! Nothing
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- HiteshP667 (10/5): Excellent hotel, highly recommend. - The excellent hotel with all amenities.rooms r very clean and spacious.staff r very helpful and attentive.they have very famous restaurant with panaromic views of city and fort with very delicious food.elevator also .highly recommended.must visit place.all the best team.
