Guest Reviews
- shingairai (10/5): - Great customer service.. easy check-in process as well
- Tafirenyika (10/5): - Only food a bit expensive
- Naude (8/5): - The bedroom was nice (despite the broken shower door) and the rest of the property good as well. There was no restaurant dining or breakfast option, but we found some options in the area.
- kuzi (10/5): - It’s an amazing place the staff is very nice and friendly.
- Dion (8/5): - Nice and clean
- joy (2/5): - We cancelled, our bus was cancelled from Victoria Falls to Bulawayo due to Mondays uprise, we grabbed a flight to South Africa
- Benedict (10/5): Great place to stay in Bulawayo - We had a great time at Motsamai Lodge. It’s main attraction is the location and proximity to the city. You are only 5 minutes away from Bradfield Market and 10 minutes from downtown. The host were kind and the gateman would wash our car daily, it was part of the package.
- Kudzaishe (8/5): - Pleasant stay. Would definitely book again when passing through Bulawayo.
- Andile Andy (10/5): - Highly recommend this place, thank Aunty maSibanda
- Thomas (6/5): - Als Zwischenstopp ok.
- Vincent (10/5): - Safe, quiet and convenient
- Vincent (10/5): - Safe, Quiet, Convenient
- Vincent (10/5): - Safe, Quiet, Convenient
- Vincent (10/5): - Safe, Quiet, Convenient
- Vincent (10/5): - It was safe, quiet and convenient.
- Admire (6/5): - The shower wasnt functioning properly, mixing cold and hot water was a huge task, and there was no hot water in the last 2 days of my stay. I guess the issue of power needs a better back up plan to ensure the comfort of residents. Modernising the showers to a single mixer would be helpful to balance hit and cold water
- Lionel (10/5): Bulawayo - Great place to stay very safe and secure. It is very quiet great views and experience stunning sunsets
Linen and towels might need to be updated they have seen better days
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was modern and newly built had all the electrical facilities for a international plugs etc.
the lighting in the bathroom could have been better for a ladies make u needs.
- Hilary (10/5): Great stay, great staff - They stay was great. We had to wait a bit for our room to be ready at check in, the lady at reception was fine. The two gentleman at reception were very good, even helped us organize tours and excursions. Location good, about 45min walk to the center, but had to take a taxi after dark for safety. Room was very nice and clean, WiFi worked good.
- Dmitrii (8/5): Good location and perfect for traveling around - Nice colonial style place. Good to start traveling around the town
- Nolizwe (10/5): Great price for a great space & impeccable service - One of my sisters stayed at Motsamai last year and she couldn’t stop raving about it. I discovered for myself that she wasn’t exaggerating her glowing reviews! It was super clean and comfortable, with a modern feel and serious bang for your buck. I really liked the double sink in the bathroom, as well as the general design of the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was perfect, and it didn’t take long for the water to heat up. I could have slept all day in that bed, with its warm blankets and plush pillows. The WiFi connection was really strong (something not to be taken for granted!). The kitchen staff graciously accommodated our request for breakfast, at a time when most hotels would have stopped serving that meal! We would have stayed longer if not for the lodge being booked out for the week for a conference! I highly recommend Motsamai, and hope to return someday!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the breakfast especially the mushroom. Thanks to sekuru he cooks delicious dishes.
We just lacked some cooling in the room as there's no fan or air conditioning because sometimes it was really hot. Other than that everything was fantastic. We will surely come again.
- Gerald (8/5): Great Lodge! - Fantastic lodge with great personalised service. Highly recommended.
- Wayne (10/5): The place to stay while in Bulawayo! - This is a neat and well maintained guest lodge. The grounds and ambiance of this place were delightful day and night. My room was always clean and comfortable with daily maintenance. Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. The food although tasty and well prepared lacked variety during my 13 night stay. Thanks to everyone at Motsamai for making my stay a delight.
- Beville (8/5): Quiet & scenic garden hotel with a dedicated staff - Upon arrival the desk clerk was asking for me among our group of 22, since I had booked from home. The room was available in a matter of minutes. Any request during our stay was handled with much haste and a pleasant smile from all staff. The room cleaning staff during the day took every effort to ensure a spotless environment. The staff always seemed to be willing to assist in any matter, and will literally run to complete their task.
- Benjamin (10/5): Lovely hotel with incredibly helpful staff - The hotel is fairly centrally located (a short taxi ride from the town centre) but set in a relaxed green space which separates you from any busy-ness outside. The staff are very helpful and friendly; talk through your plans for your stay in Bulawayo with them and they'll probably be able to suggest additional places and activities you haven't thought of before. The rooms are very well sized with comfortable ensuites (shower, bath, etc) and lots of natural light.
Thoroughly recommended.
- hans (8/5): Comfortabele Lodge in rustige buurt - Zeer tevreden; uitstekende service en zeer oprecht en behulpzaam
- hans (8/5): Mooie lodge in rustige buurt - Prima prijs/kwaliteitverhouding
Alles ziet er verzorgd uit.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Amazingly stylish hotel - The room is nice to stay. Everything is stylish and tasteful. The staff are extremely polite and friendly.
- Robert (8/5): Säkert med vakt och mycket trevlig personal - Även detta hotell tog mer betalt andra gången vi bodde där och inte bokade i förväg via hotels.com Inte överdrivet mer , men ändå !
- Verified traveler (10/5): awesome - The place was very comfortable, I really enjoyed my stay. the people were awesome
- Sharon (10/5): Best place to stay in Bulawayo - This place is absolutely amazing. From ththe service by Mrs Dubiwa, to their team, to the room standards!!! Special mention to the chef "Sekuru" who made good meals and being very attentive. Also, special mention to the guys who woke up every morning to clean our car. We were totally in awe of the services offered by this team. Keep it up! I would definitely recommend this place to all!
- David (6/5): - The room we stayed in was not the beautiful modern rooms advertised in the webpage. It wasn't bad but just not what I saw advertised. Bathroom was a bit dated but very clean. Room was very clean. Main bed was very comfortable. Pillows were not great. My sons single bed was not very comfortable. Staff were very hospitable. Breakfasts were lovely.
- Sithembinkosi manyoni (10/5): Convenient and clean - Amazing
- emmanuel (6/5): Great service. Nice room. - The service and people are great and helpful. Wifi is annoying that you have to connect again and again. There was a smell in the bathroom! Old water? The guy at the gate was not always around to answer our knock and let us in.
- Bekinhlanhla (10/5): Worth every star if not more. - The Bhebhe's are exceptional. Thank you and your staff for great service. This place is truly a gem please keep it up.
- Lauren (10/5): Great lodge - Would recommend this lodge to everyone. We had one night with fantastic service, a great room and dinner under the stars. We did an afternoon safari and walked with Rhinos which was an unbelievable experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay - Just an Okay place. Good thing is convinient. Close to the city centre
- Babra (10/5): Well developed well kept and very comfortable hote - Comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): 郊外の静かなゆったりと出来るロッジ - 蚊の心配も無く、安心して眠れました。
従業員の方も親切でした。
プールが、もっときれいでしたら尚素晴らしいと思いますが。
- Jana (8/5): Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff - Very nice accommodation in a quiet suburb and great service. The rooms are spacious with a nice bathrooms. On arrival there was no AC but on request we got a portable cooling unit. Safe parking. Free wifi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - We are very happy with our one night stay. We had dinner($15 pp) and breakfast($10 pp)at the lodge. The food was good, the service was fantastic. All the staff are very kind, friendly, and helpful. The showers were hot as needed as well as the bath. The property is peaceful and serene. The bed was not the most comfortable, and our room was a bit small for 2 people, but it was fine for one night. I would recommend this to everyone and I would not hesitate to stay again.
- Mandi (6/5): Clean but not impressive - Breakfast was mediocre at $10/pp. Only one towel in a room? Lumpy mattresses.
- Allan (10/5): Motsamai Lodge - The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The room was recently refurbished and re-decorated.
The bathroom was large but the shower drainage was slow and the bathroom door had a handle missing so the door could not close.
- annabel (8/5): Comfortable clean hotel - a comfortable clean hotel with lovely bathroom and good bed. Rooms smaller than they look on the internet. Great staff. Pool is only for dipping - not big enough to swim in
- annabel (8/5): Well kept lodge - this was a pleasant well kept lodge, quite smart and clean with lovely staff.
- Erika (10/5): - Friendly and professional staff and owners
Everybody was very helpful
Safe environment
I can recommend Motsamai Lodge to anyone.
- Good sleep (8/5): Weekend stay for a wedding - Had a peaceful sleep after a long drive. Comfortable bed, clean sheets . Didnt use much of other services as was coming back to sleep only. The staff was helpful and kind. Saw one or two cochroach, please look at this otherwise place is nice and would use in future again.
- Mev MC (8/5): - Very friendly and accommodating staff
- Olga (8/5): great staff - The staff at Motsamai had great service and excellent hospitality!
- Patrick (10/5): super genoten - Super mooie locatie mooi hotel hele vriendelijke mensen kortom we gaan er zeker terug als we weer in bulawayo zijn
