• mark (5/5): Good location poor facilities - Location of the property was good and available public transport The room facilities were very poor. The fridge did not work at all, the air conditioner was very temperamental, shower water pressure was abysmal and the temperature fluctuated, shower leaked all over the floor, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the bed was very small. It was a very uneasy stay for 11 nights. The cameras in the kitchen were very uncomfortable as the owners were watching all the time. I was contacted by them simply for having a friend pop up for 1 minute. The breakfast included was just a cake of some sort. The price was well over the top and the pictures when booking were very vague. This Property is good for a maximum of 2 nights. It was okay but disappointing

La limpieza era 10/10, perfecta Se escuchaba una bomba de agua y se sentía en el cuarto mismo, pero era del vecino de arriba. Y no se podían dejar las valijas ni antes ni después del check in

• Elizabeth (4/5): Great location, that is all - The bed was clean and the location is very convenient. The breakfast was an old cake and pie that stayed out all day and remained outside for the three days I stayed. It was clear it was the same exact cake and pie because the slices cut out remained the same. Extremely unsanitary. I found a dead bug that was dried into my bath towel. Finally the worst is that the bed is completely peeling and very old, and there is staining on the walls.

• François (8/5): Un séjour très correct dans un établissement abordable pour Rome - La localisation est plus intéressante qu'on ne l'imaginait, un peu à l'écart de la foule touristique, avec deux trams qui passent régulièrement sur le grand boulevard devant. L'isolation. Ce serait déjà plus acceptable si on faisait des modifications pour la porte qui laisse entrer totalement le bruit de l'extérieur de la chambre.

Das Personal ist mir bei der Anreise entgegengekommen, Weil es noch beim Lift Arbeiten gab #herzlichen Dank dafür!!! Das Einzelzimmer ist wirklich klein Es gab beim Ankunft paar Tage noch Arbeiten beim Lift (6. Stock)
• Wesley (3/5): Plumbing Issues - I won't be staying here again. The bathroom smelled like a cat piss and sewer cocktail. There was some kind of water pump device behind the toilet. It made a sound like the klaxon from War of the Worlds. And it wasn't just when using the water, it sounded out in the middle of the night as well.

• Valeria (9/5): - La habitación es hasta mejor que en las fotos!!! Todo nuevo, limpio, muy espaciosa cosa no muy común en la hostelería europea. Colchón cómodo y buenas almohadas (que a nosotros nos importa valorar) y para quien le sirva.... también muy buen secador de pelo! Tener a disposición café y te con galletas es buenísimo. Además atentos con detalles como dejar plancha, adaptador y otras cosas qur uno pudiera necesitar. Solo que como las habitaciones estan tan cerca se escucha hasta el mínimo ruido, pero esto pasa en cualquier dpto. Igual con reglas claras de orden y respeto.

• Jessica (7/5): Chouette séjour - La facilité pour y accéder, l’hôte nous avait bien expliqué comment arriver et accéder à la chambre ! , l’endroit était bien situé à 30 min de marche du centre historique et 10 min de tout les restaurant de la ville ! , c’était propre , l’hôte était sympa et répondait directement aux messages Ce qui était juste dommage c’est que La salle de bain de notre chambre était dans une pièce à part , nous devions passer dans un couloir pour y accéder , c’était un peu délicat surtout le soir quand nous étions en Pijama. Nous devions demander nous même quand il fallait remettre du papier toilette , nous nous sommes retrouvé sans papier deux fois car il n’y en avait jamais un de stock dans la toilette :-( Si nous pouvons donner un conseil aussi c’est de mettre une petite poubelle dans la salle de bain ☺️ Cela dit c’était un chouette séjour et nous avons apprécier cet hôtel :)
• Beatriz (8/5): Buena ubicación en Trastevere - La ubicación es muy buena si quieres estar cerca del Trastevere. La cama es muy cómoda y estaba súper súper limpio. La bomba, que es lo que hace que salga agua tanto para la ducha, lavabo como WC, es muy molesta. Suena muy fuerte y en repetidas ocasiones cuando haces uso del agua. Estaría bastante bien que lo modificasen. El ascensor es un poco peculiar, dos puertas que parecen una entrada a una habitación. Entiendo que no es un tema del B&B pero por si alguien es aprensivo

Small place, very clean, really appreciated the counter with tea and coffee available in the common space. And also really appreciated the air con in the Rome heat. Overall great stay, would recommend!
• Arik (7/5): Practical room. - The location, communication with the owner is fast and convenient. Quiet place. The balcony, I would not agree to call this small window step balcony and the main balcony is not allowed. There is a lot of dust in the room.

• Ryan (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Nothing. WHERE DO I BEGIN! Firstly, stained bedsheets ( photos attached), also, the bathroom makes a loud noise when water is running, (so any use during the night wakes everyone up). Then of course the toilet flush was faulty (which the owner is aware of) leaving the loud noise continuous for hours one of the days. To top it all off, we had informed the owner that we would be arriving at 1:30AM due to a flight delay, to which he told us he would meet us outside the apartment. Upon arrival, we were left stranded! I left 8 calls and multiple messages but the host did not respond until 5AM saying his phone was on silent! Thankfully a couple let us into the apartment complex at 2AM, otherwise we would have been stranded for the night! And the compensation you ask? A free transfer to Roma Termini (a 20 minute drive) 😂
• nkprnka (7/5): Yes, but... Style. It's a good option for the money. - It's a nice neighborhood with lots of establishments nearby. Convenient transportation. The room looks good. Very noisy air conditioner. That's a big problem. You can also hear conversations from neighboring rooms. The noise insulation is very poor. You will hear every word. The big disadvantage is the room key. In fact, it is the key to the bathroom. The safe is not fixed. This is a poor level of security. You can't leave your personal belongings in the room. It is not safe at all.
• Cristina (10/5): finde largo en Roma - La habitación estaba muy limpia, con aire acondicionado, una pequeña nevera y armario abierto con perchas para colgar la ropa. El aire acondicionado es muy necesario para las noches calurosas de julio. No solicitamos desayuno, pero en el hall hay cafetera y hervidor de agua caliente para su uso y un bote de galletas. La distancia a todos los puntos que queríamos visitar en Roma se nos hizo un poco larga con el calor que hacía, pero uber y los transportes públicos funcionan bien.

• Sara (7/5): Great location, good value for the price - The Black & White is located at the nice Trastevere neighborhood with bus and tramway very near, so you can easily reach any touristic spot. There are many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants around. My room was a single one with the bathroom inside. It was very clean. There is coffee, tea and some cookies at the entrance, which is very kind. When you arrive at the room, the 1st day of your stay, there's a small bottle of water in the small fridge...Which is very convenient if you arrive in the evening. When you arrive at the hotel there's nobody for the check-in but you'll receive some videos explaining how to enter the building, flat and your room. You don't find any personnel other than a cleaning person in the morning. She is very kind though. All the communication with the owner is through WhatsApp. Also checkout. Some of the rooms have the bathroom out of the room, so you need to go out to the common area to reach your bathroom. It was not my case, but I imagine it could be uncomfortable for some people. The windows and bed headboard need a refresh. The shower is a rainfall one, which is common in Italy, but not nice for women. Bring your shower gel and shampoo, because you'll only find a couple of shower gel sachets (for 4 days stay) and a small soap bar.

• Lydia (10/5): Great for a sight-seeing trip to Rome! - The location was perfect as we wanted to visit Rome without being right in the city. It’s pretty basic, but the coffee in the morning was great, bathroom was great, and overall had exactly what we needed for our stay- as we weren’t in our room much. Our host was great with communication as my Whatsapp stopped working and we found alternative methods of communication, check-in/out was a breeze. We did notice some ants, not much though

• Zuzana (8/5): A nice room in a quaint Roman neighborhood - We stayed for 3 nights and had literally everything we could wish for: the place was spotless and the most amazing complimentary coffee was especially appreciated! Since we stayed in August, however, it got extremely stuffy in the room and the AC wasn't powerful enough to cool the place down, plus made quite unpleasant noise. It might be ok in a different season, though.

If you're a light sleeper, request one of the rooms NOT facing the road. Extremely noisy room. Road noise, trams and steady stream of ambulance sirens night and day.

• Godfrey (9/5): Superb - The host and the staff are super friendly, efficient, helpful and quick to respond. Everything went perfectly well. The communications with the host was very smooth and clear. I was able to locate and access the hotel despite arriving late. The host was flexible and allowed us to keep our bags until it was time to take the taxi late in the evening. Basically, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Rome. I gladly recommend it! Honestly, I thought breakfast was included in the price but I was surprised that I had to pay. Maybe this could be clearly stated since on the website there is a bed and breakfast!
• Daniel (9/5): A well-situated hotel in the heart of a painting neighbourhood - It's an apartment shared with all the accommodation as a hotel. I booked one of his rooms that has outside the bathroom and for me was totally okay, the rooms are spacious and even have a balcony. The “breakfast” is just some cookies and tea/coffee but at the end, if you are in Rome you will eat outside, so it's okay. You just need to take into account the Hotel fee/tax that they charge you when you arrive (is not included and you have to pay in cash or via PayPal)

Train Station is a 10-minute walk. From Termini by bus H - 10 minutes. Bus stop next to the house. There is a cafe near the entrance where you can have coffee and cake in the morning. A bit expensive

Was weird to not have any actual staff on the property, the guy was texting me through whatsapp and seemed paranoid about having anyone else in the room. Also the keys were a bit confusing.

• Hanna (8/5): Clean and basic accommodation with a convenient location in Trastevere - The room was very clean and the location was good. There was a tram stop right in front of the entrance and it was a short walk from the beautiful cobble stone streets of Trastevere. The reception was meant to be open until 22.00 but we got a WhatsApp message from the staff saying that there would not be anyone there when we arrive at 20.00. We got a request to send our IDs and a couple of videos showing how to get inside. In the end it all worked well but it was not the best welcome. At check-out the tax had to be paid in cash which came as a surprise and we had to go down to the street to an ATM.
• Bruna (10/5): Amazing room near everything! - The room is great. The bed was very comfortable and the room is very spacious and clean. It is located in a very good place, near everything, the bus stop is near the hotel and we could go everywhere. The manager was helpful and answered all our questions quickly. I recommend and would stay there again next time. Perfect place! Everything was excellent!
