Guest Reviews
- qasha10 (8/5): Short break in Asia Thailand - Second time stay in this hotel as solo and visiting one of my friend over there , check in was fast and the staff are nice, the hotel over all is quite and reasonable as solo
the hotel booking made by Trends Travel and Tourism in Oman ( 0096892165165 / 0096826886161) the price is really acceptable
- zainalpengco (10/5): Superb and Nice - We had a chance to stay on this hotel for 4 days during our holiday in Hatyai. We bought the room using Agoda and the price are affordable. We arrived at hotel by 1100 am and we allow to check in. Wow! It was great. The environment are great nice and quiet. The staffs are helpful and nice. My car had a broke down due to flat battery and the staff at the concierge and hotel tuk tuk driver are very helpful and giving hand without any delay.
Receptions staffs are nice. We love the Routine schedules of tuk tuk for city tour and despatch. Looking forward to be there again.
- salmyn (6/5): Short weekend getaway - My friends and i went for short vacation in Hatyai. We booked 3 rooms with 2 single beds and 1 room with 1 extra bed.The room was large enough to accommodate max 3 adults equipped with toiletries, coffee/tea making sets and tv.
The wifi connection was not up to our expectation at 7th floor where 3 out of 4 rooms located. The hotel reception's reply poor connection was due to high occupancy that day.The hotel is awarded with Halal Kitchen certificate and therefore can provide halal buffet breakfast if the guest wish to have breakfast at the restaurant.Other than that, free shuttle tuk tuk also provided for guests who wish to go to Lee Garden Plaza. It is also walking distance (about 10 minutes) to Kim Yong Market.
- Michael (2/5): - The bed quite dirty
- WildChild18 (4/5): Old hotel - First time stay in this hotel with families, check in was fast and the staff are nice, but the room once enter there is a stink smell which it very strong and WiFi not working even the staff have no idea what is going on and the bed are too old to sleep, bathroom doesn’t have hot water to shower and shower head was too hard to shower. Definitely not staying again.
- wahiza6 (10/5): good and clean hotel - If you are a muslim and looking for a stay to easy ur mind on the halal stuff, this is the hotel to look for. The room is spacious and clean. the hotel is situated near the market and dont worry, they have shutter service to take you to the market (an its free). receptionist is english speaking and yoh wont hv prob on that. service are good and the staff are also friendly. worth the money.
- BehCh1981 (8/5): satisfy stay - the hotel in overall is good. nearby Kim Yong market. not too far from central festival mall.
room is clean and tidy. maybe not suitable for business activity but for holiday stay, is one of the good choice.
we did not take the breakfast as for us, we prefer local thai food somewhere in the city.
if you ask a negative point from me, i would say there is no car park.
- JojoMendoza (6/5): Simple & Clean - Overall, the hotel is satisfactory. I booked the Deluxe Room for 2-nights. Spacious, simple & clean room.
The downside is the location. Situated in a quieter part of the town. No attractions nor eateries within walking distance. Area is dark & quiet at night.
If you are driving or dont mind taking the tuk tuk whenever you would like to go out, guess it is ok then.
They do have scheduled free shuttles to Central Festival or Lee Gardens.
- BirthTongchai (10/5): Hatyai Holiday hotel very close to shopping center - We love tuk-tuk service.
The Driver very polite.
Clean room.
Near Kimyong market and railway station.
- Peggy (8/5): The hotel is next to the market - Staff is very friendly and nice, hotel is very clean where i love so much.
- Steve (6/5): Old hotel - Breakfast is terrible and the hotel badly need renovation
- maneh (6/5): sleepless night - i booked this hotel because i read that it has been refurbish recently and because it it a Muslim friendly hotel
we reach hotel at noon, the check in was smooth and staff is very kind and warm
only the air condition in the unit that we stay is no functioning well, i sleep in sweat that night..
the location is not a walking distance to tourist attraction
no sign of kiblat in the room
no ironing facility in hotel
- Wea (8/5): Friendly Staff and Good Service - I’m stayed here for one night with my parents and husband. Booked 2 different rooms but they are concern enough to give us a connecting rooms as soon as im about to check in. We’ve been welcome with a great pleasure by the staff and they even gave my mother a birthday card before check out from the hotel. Nice stay and i will surely book again for my next visit.
- PPLIM (8/5): - Very near to markets and the hotel provide shutter bus service as well. Thumb up.
- Nurul (8/5): Nice hotel with superior service - Excellent service from the staff.. Keep up the good work
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel including - Goede service. De kamerprijs is wellicht voor Thaise standaarden niet goedkoop. Niettemin is dit inclusief de producten in de bar van de hotelkamer en de retour met de taxi service naar een populaire locale markt.
- Patricia0824 (4/5): Lousy Hotel - I booked for this hotel a month ago before my travel date for family trip. Due to this is last minute arrangement and all of my preferred hotel already full house and because of limited choice, finally decided to book for this hotel.
Upon my first step into this hotel, there are a bad smell that welcome me and this smell is available every single corner. Hotel staff (included front desk, technician, bell boy) are not fluent in English, but they are always show you a friendly attitude even though at the end of the day they can't solve the problem anyway. Check-in process was superb low. I was keep on waiting from 2 p.m. until 4.15 p.m. (more then 2 hours) in order to get 4 unit of room key.
Hotel WiFi connectivity is worst. Lobby area WiFi is not able to connect during my stay. Room area WiFi connection is really good before daybreak only.
Daily room housekeeping is not available even already requested at front desk during the morning. End up around 4 pm, I saw a cleaner was in the janitorial room and ask for help to clean up 4 rooms that my family members stay.
Buffet breakfast was provided, but not much choices for the buffet menu. Basically, they are provided fried eggs, bread with butter and pineapple jam, fried rice, fried kway teow, mixed vegetable, watermelon, plain water, coffee and tea.
The hot shower was not working properly. In order to get hot shower supply, I need to adjust the water volume to low position. Drain hole was a little bit stuck and make the water-flow very slow, shower room will get into flood if water volume adjusted to high position. Sound insulation is really bad for this hotel, I can hear clearly people talking at the corridor.
The most terrible part during my stay is my room air-cond was not working. Front desk staffs are not attended for my request to change other room as well. They are just keep on requesting in-house technician to refill cooling gas into the air-cond unit and every time after refill the gas, it just can last for 4 hours time. My family are force to sleep in the room without air-cond before daybreak. This is the first time ever in my travel experience that I need to open the window to get fresh air into the room.
This hotel is near to Kim Yong Market but a bit far away from the shopping mall (Lee Garden) and central night market, but free shuttle service was provided for selected time.
Based on the room rate that charged, HatYai have much more other valuable hotel that worth to stay. In the other hand, based on bad experience with this hotel, I definitely will not stay anymore in future and will not recommend this hotel to my friend.
- Tan (6/5): - No hotel car park, I just being inform to park at road side, luckily is not peak season, so I manage to park in front of the hotel. Wifi signal is weak. I book 2 rooms, one of the room no safety lock.
- traveling kiwi (10/5): great stay - staff are amazing, friendly and more than happy to help however possible, will return.
- flyingseagul (6/5): disappointing hotel - the hotel is very old on the interior..a bit far away from the central bustling area eg shopping malls night market.one should stay at lee gardens or centara instead.it is cheap though..nearby area has nothing much to offer.only my hubby and i were there to eat breakfast..aircon was not on at all.so dining can be a painful experience.
- BELINDA (4/5): basic. - hotel location was ok. "shuttle service" was by tuktuk. once every 2-3 hours. aircon wasn't cold at all. water flow for shower was horribly small. saw at least 2 cockroaches in room. worst thing, there was a major building blackout once.
- salalab (4/5): Noisy and Inconvenient - Woken up at 7am every day because the other guests are very noisy. Walls are thin.
Hotel is far from every where. There is free shuttle to Lee Gardens and Kim Pong market. Nearby is dark and quiet at night. Not an exciting location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad. - It was ok but at least should have tissue box and cup for us to make coffee or tea. Far frm the main road so it was quiet. Halal certified restaurant.
- Charles Grant (10/5): Old, quiet and basic. - The staff were great and very helpful.
The hotel is getting a bit long in the tooth.[ meaning everything is getting pretty old]
They have started to slowly repair everything, but it is still quite comfortable to stay there.
Skip the meals, they are very, very basic and not too great.
- Say Lai (8/5): Convenient to Big Wet Market - Overall satisfied, but there is a cockroaches in the room, I saw two at least…
- vivien (6/5): cheap hotel but no food outlets nearby. - Booked this hotel after being captivated by the price of the room. Facilities of the hotel is ok however the internet in the room is simply hopeless. Need major improvement as it cant be connected inside the room . Had to come down to the reception to reply my emails .
However if you are looking for a hotel where there are near by, there isn't and hartjai city is not within walking distance, you need to take tuk tuk to reach .
There is a whole sale fresh market within 5 min walk and kim yong market is just opposite .
Overall , the hotel is still good for the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel is rundown. It needs a upgrade. It's away from the main city and connectivity is bad.
- SAIFUL (6/5): GOOD - NICE HOTEL. GREAT LOCATIONS.
- Jassica Yee (6/5): Value for money. - The hotel staffs was friendly ; nice and helpful. Overall the stay was fine.
- Lee (4/5): Near to Kim Yong market but away from Lee Garden - It is near to Kim Yong market however need to walk around 10 - 15 mins to Lee Garden. No 7-11 around. Request for hair dryer and universal plug at night, however all finished. Till morning ask again managed to get the hair dryer as some room guest have checkout I guessed. So do booked earlier for the hair dryer and universal plug if you forget to bring. Toilet door lock is broken. Tut tut still quite easy to catch, but there is no specific location around the hotel where the tut tut will wait for you instead. You can get it along the way you walk if you are lucky you can get it or stop the tut tut within few mins.
- A majid (10/5): - It nice to be there after sometime. The hotel have alot of improvement and been refurbished.
- yzjebat (6/5): Hatyai Holiday Hotel - This is my first time at this hotel. I've chosen this hotel because this is the Halal certified Hotel. The room was ok and the amenities were not bad. They provided free drinking water everyday and there is a kettle for boiling water. The staffs were good and some of them can speak Malay. The Housekeeping did a fantastic job in cleaning and keep replenish drinking water for us everyday. It is quite challenging to find tuk tuk at night by urself but u can ask the bell boy to called them. It is very convinient to find halal food nearby. It is 5 minutes walking distance to Gim Yong Market. There is also a wet market at night. The hotel needs to upgrade the breakfast choice due to there is not much to choose from (breakfast is a la carte).
- Jovan_10 (4/5): Skip it! - Location: a long walk to anything. Actually a long walk to not much of anything. Wouldn't go out at night!
Staff: staff watched as I struggled up the few stairs with my suitcase. Most didn't speak English. Seem more tolerant than friendly.
Hotel: old hotel that looks like it has had a facelift that went wrong.
Breakfast: not very appetizing.
Restaurant: we were the only ones there for dinner and breakfast. It was a strange dining experience.
The air conditioner in the room was so loud you couldn't sleep.
The wifi didn't work in the room. Had to sit in the hall.
Overall: if this is the best in Hatyai, stay here because I cannot imagine what the worst would be like. Better yet skip the city completely if you can!
- 549mait (10/5): The best hotel in Hatyai - Came here for the first time and the services and everything were beyond my expectations. Superior room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very welcoming and impressive. The distance to busy city center is very short, around 10 mins walk. See you again soon, Hatyai Holiday!
- burapat (10/5): The new rising star! - Hatyai Holiday surprised me! Could not believe that this medium-sized hotel is this impressive. The bell boy is trilingual and very helpful! I stayed in their superior room which was good value for money. Also, I heard that there is a new management team and there are some renovations going on. I'm sure this hotel, if given a bit more time, will be a new rising star of Hatyai. So, keep up the good work Hatyai Holiday. Will definitely be back again!
- MagQi (4/5): Extra bed is only a thin mattress on the floor - Stayed over the CNY period and have a shock of my life when we reached the room to find that the extra bed is only a thin piece of mattress on the floor! Have we known earlier, we would have use the extra bed money to book another room. Hotel staff was rude and insisted that they could not do anything. Room was outdated, the walls paint are peeling and the warm water shower is not warm. We had a room at the corner and the wifi was terrible, we can only connect to it while standing near the door! Location wise, it is within walking distance to the big market, but far from the central shopping area.
- StellaKwan (6/5): Good value budget Hotel - As cny holiday, most of the hotel nearby Hatyai Central are full. Thus, we manage to book this hotel for 2 nights, 3 rooms (Twins bed room) during CNY's holiday for my family's trip.
Bedrooms are spacious, beds are larger than normal single bed. Air conditional working well and gives us very good sleep at night. However, the sound proof is not good, you can easily hear people talking next door. Bathroom is spacious but water pressure in room 516 is low, so water supply not working very good for the stand shower. Other room no problem. No Kettle supply in room, so if you need hot water you need to call Hotel reception to send the hot water to your room. No breakfast provided in this hotel but u can easily find food nearby the hotel.
Free wifi is available is all room and lobby.
Good point of this hotel is located nearby the market area, just 1-2 minutes walk. However, is far from Hatyai Central (main shopping area-is about 20-30 minutes walk). You can easily get Tuk-tuk outside the hotel, however, u need to bargain price with them before you get up to Tuk-tuk, if not then u'll have to pay very high price.
Generally, u get what u pay for. So nothing much to complain.
- Vanan (6/5): average hotel, quite place - the hotel located in the quite place. very near to wholesale market, about 100 m away and there are plenty of street stalls with good food available here (especially muslim food). It is an old building with a simple lobby entrance. there is a cafe at the lobby area, karaoke available at night. the rooms are very basic.Amenities in the room, Tv and mini bar. wifi service are terrible. the Hot water in the bathroom is not hot enough. The bed condition was very poor, lumpy and only one pillow available for each bed. The good thing is, hotel located near to main shopping area which is about 300 m away by walking. Good to stay away from noisy and busy shopping streets.
- aleeyahhh (8/5): Excellent - The best hotel that i find in hat yai.near to the market and other attractive place in there.i hope the price can go lower.it is good if it cost only 1000baht for standard room.
The air condition works very well.
big space of shower room.
Quiet condition.
Clean and no smell.
Have wifi access.
Comfortable bed and pillow.also good condition of blanket.i love it!
but,the time for brrakfast need to be earlier than 11am.its too late.
- Angelbaby_Ong (8/5): Cheap and near Local wholesale Market - Have been staying here for many times for pass 3 years. the price I pay its worth the value. room is queit and bed is nice to sleep.
But slightly away from main shopping area, you may need to walk about 5 to 8 mins from shopping area.
The reason I like to stay here is you can really see how the local people doing their vegetable trade here. Few shops here is selling the ladies accessory which you need to buy in bulk, wholesale price.
Refer my another 2 recent reviews on another two new renovate hotel.
Enjoy your local life's sightseeing at this hotel.
