• Bert (6/5): Armoedig en te duur - De rustige locatie tussen de wijnvelden en het zicht op de bergen. De vriendelijke ontvangst. Waterkoker en koelkast op de kamer. De kamer was zo klein dat we nauwelijks onze reistassen kwijt konden zonder erover te vallen. Badkamer was slechts verlicht door 1 klein lampje boven de wastafel. Douche was daardoor half donker. WC bril zat los. De bistro ernaast was gesloten, dus dan 20min rijden naar Chambery. Veel te dik dekbed. Armoedige afwerking. Prijs 20% te hoog voor hetgeen geboden wordt. Never again.

• Kenneth (10/5): We arrived early on foot and they accommodated us very well. - Food at the restaurant downstairs was superb. Breakfast was very good as well. Set us off full of carbs for our days walk. No air conditioning just a fan. But manageable. (July heatwave)

More importantly the owner gave us the privilege to check in earlier, very much appreciated!

• Regan (10/5): Absolutely fantastic, very happy. - The service was exceptional - more than you could hope for. We arrived at 9.30pm, having booked a room last minute en route to Chambery. Unfortunately, i booked the wrong night and so no-one was there / expecting us. Having called the owner (late on a Friday eve), they were able to give us access to the hotel and explain where to find a key! We ended up in a lovely room, rather than a cold car. I cant thank this hotel enough.

• Beverley (8/5): A very pleasant stopover with lovely views and a very pleasant host - Rustic and suited our needs The kettle didn’t work but the guy who greeted us was upset that it didn’t work. So no problem.

Warm welcome, convenient cost-free parking, nice room, comfortable bed, tea/coffee facilities provided. All very clean. Bar next door pretty noisy, though it quietened down after 11pm. Breakfast overpriced for what it was. (No alternative place to have breakfast in the immediate vicinity).

• Andrew (9/5): Excellent country B&B - Pleasant, comfortable, clean country B&B in little hamlet. Proprietor English speaking and very helpful. Decent breakfast. Quiet after the bar next door closed. Nice walks nearby. A bit difficult to find - our SatNav couldn't pick up the address. No A/C (wasn't a problem for us).

• Charlie (10/5): Exceptional - The owning couple went above and beyond to ensure myself with 3 children had a great stay. I couldn’t find a taxi to take us to and from the station, given it was the busiest weekend of the year, so they drove us there and back without hesitation. They were both really friendly to my kids.

• David (5/5): A not unpleasant experience but we will not repeat it as there are many options in this area. - This is observation rather than "like". The Auberge is more like a student hostel than an hotel or inn. The owner was friendly but as we were the only people staying, as far as I could see, it was as though we were disturbing his day. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and found the place closed. The opening hours were clearly posted on the door but I had assumed that it would be open all day. The owner returned my call (phone numbers on the door) and gave me a door code so we let ourselves in and found our room key on the table entrance. The restaurant next door was closed, apparently for a re-decoration under new owners. We were told it would open by the end of November. Fortunately we found food at the nearby Chez Tity, a local bar were the locals were most friendly. The breakfast in the auberge was fine but we were amused by the constant to-ing and fro-ing of cleaning staff, in and out of the cupboard opposite our table! The coffee machine didn't work but mein host finally turned up and made coffee for us from somewhere else. On reflection quite an amusing stay. The auberge is decorated with many interesting paintings but is desperately in need of re-decoration. It feels tatty and uncared for but the owner was jolly enough once he woke up to the fact he had clients!

• Yhbf (9/5): It was a wonderful stay. Location is perfect for us. - The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great to go to Chambery and Lake Bourget. Only 10 minutes off the motorway, I am happy with the location with great value price. The hotel has ample parking spaces.
• Katie (10/5): Exceptional hospitality - We (group of 9 friends) were welcomed with great hospitality by the amazing couple that run this place, after a multiday trek through the Chartreuse. We couldn't wish for a better place to refresh and recuperate and our hosts went out of their way to provide us with a vegetarian dinner (even though the main restaurant was closed), a personal handmade gift and they even brought us to our next destinations by car. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and would highly recommend a stay here (and some drinks at the neighbouring bar Chez Titi with equally amazing owners).
• Roland (7/5): Great stay in a nice, small and quiet hotel. - Nice small family type hotel. In the countryside with nice views but not far from the main cities of Chambéry and Annecy. Parking is available in front of the hotel. Very friendly and informative hotel owner/manager. The internet was down but it suited me fine !otherwise nothing of any consequence.
