- AVIDTRAVELLER53 (8/5): A Stay with Character in a Historic Setting - We recently stayed at Hotel Adalbert and found it to be a unique and memorable experience. The property has real character — housed in an old-style building that was once part of a monastery. It’s not your typical hotel, and that’s part of its charm. Check-in was smooth and welcoming. Special thanks to Michael at reception, who kindly showed us two room options and took the time to explain the fascinating history of the property. The hotel is part of a larger monastery complex that includes several buildings, a functioning monastery, a church, a brewery, and expansive walking grounds. It’s a peaceful and culturally rich environment. Our room was spacious and well furnished, though the layout was understandably irregular given the building’s original design. Toiletry supplies were limited, and the bed placement could have been optimized better — especially since space wasn’t an issue. Bed sheet and comforter cover could have been better fitting, which affected overall comfort. Power outlets were also inconveniently located, particularly far from the bed. One thing to note: there are steps in various places throughout the property, including inside the room from the bed area to the washroom. This could be a concern for seniors or anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast was good, though options were somewhat limited. The location is excellent — away from city congestion, with ample parking and a tranquil atmosphere. Overall, a good stay in a property that offers something different from the usual hotel experience. Ideal for travelers who appreciate history, quiet surroundings, and a touch of character.

It was cool, historic, beautiful grounds, great beer, great food and such friendly and kind people. We wished we could have stayed longer.! It’s on the tram line, but off the besten path and feels like you are out of town, but close to the sites in Prague via tram. When we return to Prague, this is defintely where we will stay!
- Melissa (10/5): - We had an exceptional experience here. If I could give them more stars, I would. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We arrived very early from our flight and they graciously let us enter our room. Radek was super helpful in providing guidance in the area and voluntairly looking up places on the internet we were interested in visting. He also helped provide guidance on tram stops, which we were clueless about. If you love history, open areas, and a peaceful place, this is your hotel. There is a pond and beautiful garden. This is an old monastery and just so cool. They also have a catholic chapel with daily mass if you wish to attend. Overall, it had a warm feeling of kinda like grandma’s house. If we are fortunate to return to Prague, this is the only place we will stay!! The restaurant served good beer (understsnd it is the same recipie the monks made 1,000 years ago) and the food was very good. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating wait staff. If you want a unique hotel off the beaten path, but still on the city tram line, this is your hotel!
- Barbora (10/5): Great location, beautiful old building - We loved our one night stand in this hotel, its in a beautiful old monastery building, beds, pillows were really comfy, found location was great, just minute walk to tram stop and from there getting to centre really easy. We picked this hotel because of free parking as we had a car. Breakfast was pretty good. Service friendly. Lovely restaurant just next door and beer brewery. Its an old building so don’t expect modern new rooms. We stayed with two kids so had a two bed and rooms were massive. Overal great stay.
- David (8/5): Great stay - Check in was great and the staff member was kind and patient. The room was massive split into 2 rooms as we were a family of four. The rooms were a bit tired and dusty on the provided fans but the rest of the room was brilliantly clean. The beds were really comfy and it was great to have 2 pillows provided. Breakfast was good and well appointed. You are left to your own to work out what is what but again great selection and tasted great. The hotel was set in beautiful grounds and the pubs offer great beer and what looked like great food although none appealed to my fussy kids. It was great to sample the beers and they had a good choice of other drinks as well. We would absolutely stay again.

- Michael (8/5): - Neat property and experience. Good for a quick one night stopover but likely wouldn’t recommend longer than that. On the site of an old monastery and we joked that the bed was part of the monk experience. It was a board with the the thinnest mattress ever made on it. Nice, clean and safe though, very picturesque - if they wanted to elevate the experience they could certainly become a must visit destination.

Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I encountered an issue with the staff that I feel needs to be brought to your attention. Upon discovering a bad smell coming from the toilet in my room, I, along with two other guests, reported the issue to the receptionist. Unfortunately, rather than addressing the problem, the receptionist dismissed our concerns and attempted to convince the three of us that there was no smell and the only solution she found to the problem was to sent a cleaner to spray some freshener. Although we were offered a new room, her dismissive behavior led us to stay in the original room with all the disgusting smell. The windows were open all night. I truly appreciate the quality of your property and hope that this feedback helps in improving the guest experience.

- anthony (8/5): - This was my first time staying at hotel Adalbert and i thoroughly enjoyed the experience.The hotel is situated a little bit outside the city centre but is easily reached by Pragues excellent transport system.On arriving at the hotel the check in was quick and efficently handled by the staff who were absolutely fantastic throughout my stay.There was no air conditioning in my room but it was not a problem as there was an electric fan which sufficed even though it was very hot outside.The breakfast provided at the hotel is pretty good and i really enjoyed walking around the monastery grounds after breakfast.I liked that the hotel had recycling facilities for paper and plastic in the corridor outside the rooms.

- Paul (8/5): Great character in a beautiful location. - This is a beautiful hotel in the grounds of the Brevnov Monastery. Its out of the city centre, but that doesn't matter at all as it's 2 minutes from a tram stop with frequent services to everywhere you need. There is a brewery, pub and restaurant on site as well as wonderful gardens and woodlands. You get a tasty breakfast to start the day. There is no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but you can get free hot drinks from the coffee machine in the breakfast kitchen at any time. It's always on. There is a good shower, decent toiletries, a fridge, a mini safe in the well furnished, characterful rooms. Our only criticism is that, for us, the mattress was a bit too firm, but that's just personal and wouldn't stop us from returning here. This hotel is such good value and we would recommend it without any hesitation.

- Edward (10/5): Monastery - Everything i was hoping it would be. Its a monestary. A working monestary. I saw 2 of the monks. The room was clean and comfy.. the staff were over the top helpfull. The monks still made beer there. I indulged Yes. The dark beer was really good. The tram was close by. I had to go across town to catch an IIHF hockey game and it was.easy. the tram to the Royal Castle was only 20 minutes. But just the history and ambiance of the place, made it most enjoyable. .

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden area. Upon further inspection the room was a bit outdated and could have been a bit cleaner. The towels and linens had a few minor stains and found a few strands of hair on the towels. The breakfast buffet was delightful and extensive. Overall a beautiful first night in Prague. Perfect for a quick stay rather than extended.

- notm130 (10/5): Praise the lord - This hotel is a little gem. It’s on the 22 tram line so connects you to all of the main places of interest. Rooms are comfortable, clean and the breakfast filling. There is a pub and brewery on site with Pilzen style larger and a very potent IPA. I didn’t get the chance to eat in the restaurant. All the staff are very welcoming and we all enjoyed our stay.

I think it was a cafe. Both wonderful. You can get the tram just out front from the hotel about a 5-7 min. Walk. Beds and pillows were a bit hard for us but the price was right and it was only for 2 nights.

This hotel is in the grounds and in part of a monastery building. It is exceptionally clean. The rooms are basic with very comfortable beds. The self service breakfast included in a great value price is good. The tram stop is 2 minutes walk away.Highly recommend

- Vera (8/5): - We have stayed at this hotel multiple times before our flight out of Prague and keep returning. The hotel is part of Brevnov Monastery and is 15-20 mins from the airport, it is also accessible by public transportation. There is free parking, restaurant on site, and beautiful park. It is older and furnishings and simple, but everything is clean. My only complaint about our last stay is that the pastry served for breakfast was not fresh. We tried several kinds and could not find a single fresh piece. For some, a day old pastry may not be an issue, but I am a local living abroad, so I know Czechs get fresh pastries daily, and would expect the same at a Czech hotel.

Hotel is situated within the Monastery and you’re definitely ensconced in history at this location along with a lot of green space. The room was very nice with a very comfortable bed, wifi & modern bathroom. Although there was no air-conditioning, you could open the window and for myself, it was relatively comfortable. On site was also a very good restaurant where you could enjoy a great meal and monastery made beer. The buffet breakfast was very nice with good selection. Definitely recommend this place.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Bargain for the price and quiet location - Overall this is a great find and I would stay again. It's quiet, safe yet convenient location and a bargain for the price you pay. Pros - quiet location but within minutes from a tram stop and there is a restaurant in the complex which is a bonus - convenient transport to the main city sights (about 10min to the castle, 20mins to the city centre by tram) - I booked a single room but it had a large bed and the room was actually pretty big (more like a double in some places) - the place was clean and staff friendly Cons: - the breakfast was ok with some choice of hot and cold food, not outstanding but totally appropriate for a 3* hotel - the shower could do with updating (showerhead a bit dodgy and water leaking on the floor) - again, not a deal breaker but could be improved - you are in a monastery so you will hear the bells regularly :) I slept through it but maybe something to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper

- ciciliei (8/5): Unique hotel - well worth the price - We stayed one night in a three bed room. The hotel is quite unike as it is is an old monastry. In our room there were wooden beems - very Nice. The beds were ok, an the bathroom as well. No luxury but well worrh the price we paid. The backyard had a beatiful garden that we could see from our room. The hotel reseptionist was very friendly. He made us welltasting breakfastpackages as we had to leave early for our flight. We had dinner at the restaurant on the premises. They served tradional food - very tasty! We would definitly come back here!

- John (10/5): - We wanted a hotel near the airport for our last night in the Czech Republic but got so much more: a friendly and helpful staff, a spacious and comfortable room in a thousand year old abbey, a brewery pub on the premises, free access to the historic abbey church and grounds, an excellent breakfast, secure parking and tram and bus stops that made downtown Prague's many attractons just minutes away. Oh, and just a 15 minute drive to the airport!

- Gail (10/5): - Pros: Beautiful setting in the middle of a monastery that sits in a large park, staff were extremely friendly, location right next to a tram stop for trams 22 and 25 which will get you to most of the main tourist areas or to a good transfer point. If you rent a car you get free parking on-site, and the road outside leads to the highways. Cons: The view on the outer side windows of the building is of the parking area and surrounding brewery/restaurant, the interior view is of the lovely monastery but that is lit with bright spotlights all night; neither of these are terrible things because you are still in a great location and they do have decent curtains in the rooms. Not pro or con: The beds are a little too firm for me. The tv channels were very limited, but we didn't watch much tv anyway. The wi-fi is a bit slow, but usable for basic needs. I would definitely stay here if I come to Prague again. This hotel is a nice value for the money.

- Passenger08503719478 (10/5): Perfect place to stay in order to explore Prague - This is a unique experience, staying in an old monastery. The rooms have a certain flair and are well furnished. I stayed there for a couple of nights with an outing with my son, the city center of Prague is 20 minutes away with a tramway. Also, in the summer, they are lots of people in the monastery park. The restaurant Belonging to the Monastery brews its own beer and serves delicious food. A lot of local people go there.

- 261nates (10/5): Awesome - This place is great: comfortable beds, clean, good breakfast, unique, interesting, and inexpensive! Close (70m) to a train stop so you can access downtown easily. The restaurant on site is great with a good menu. Great place!
- Daniel (10/5): Prague beer Trip - This is my second time staying here. Great check-in. Elevator, Great beer and meal directly next door. Secured parking directly out front. Great WiFi Size of the room was OK. My last stay had a much larger room. Nice updated bathroom. Great location to the airport. Did not have breakfast since I left early for the airport. - wei (6/5): The front desk service is bad! - We were at the hotel at almost 5 pm, but he frontdesk lady was unhappy and said that the room is not ready...(What???) we had to go to a restaurant near by to wait...the front desk service is bad!

- Rajo394 (8/5): Very charming and interesting - My granddaughter and I throughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Hotel Adelbert . Our room was very charming and after a long flight we found the monastery to be very relaxing. My only disappointment was that the church was closed and could only be toured by advance reservation. I would definitely recommend a stay . We dined at the restaurant on the premises and it was terrific.

Comfortable, just what you need once you plan to be all day out and about and use it only for a sleep over. Exactly as expected. Would defo recommend.

- Bobby (10/5): Highly recommend hotel in pieceful area in Prague - Fanatic hotel in a location very close to public transport (tram line). Just outside of the busy city of Prague. Our room was very spacious and very clean. Well heated (as the outside temperature was veey cold. Great breakfast with more than enough options. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful! We are returning to Prague at the end of our trip (as we fly from Prague) and on return we will be staying at another hotel. We were very sad that did not book our sexond stay at the end of the holiday at this hotel again. We hope that the other hotel will be as good and as well locates as this hotel!

- vikramb961 (6/5): Good stay in this ancient monastery - I stayed in this hotel to attend a wedding. This hotel is about 10min from city center and it is definitely a great choice for value. The rooms are good but small. There are no A/c or ceiling fans. They provide a small table fan (atleast in the small rooms). The blinds are not sealed, so in summer time it is bright in the morning. The breakfast is OK. The hotel recommends using taxi service (maybe because Uber is not legal in Czech), but the taxi service is expensive. The staff is very courteous. And the grounds are very pretty and quiet.

- jeviolin (10/5): Cozy in old style - In the Břevnov monastery there are many different buildings. One of them is Hotel Adalbert. We had a large double room and a large bathroom with shower and even a bidet! It is a very quiet place, with the next buildings having nice restaurants, a big church and a palace with a concert hall having excellent acoustics (where we played...). There are parking possibilities, you can easily go to the center by tramways. We’ll try next time to come for a few days without professional obligations!
- William (8/5): - I liked the spaciousness of our 3 room suite and the friendly concierage service. I also liked the grounds d nearness of tram service. A few minor items did not diminish the overall excellence of the stay. Three things need improvement: international newspapers were promised but the only ones were in Czech; automobile drivers need more specific warnings about the initial parking; besides BBC tv CNN seems to be standard for hotels in this category.

- julijoyeux (10/5): Quiet and Convenient - Spent my last night in the CR here to be close to the airport. The converted monastery hotel room was spacious and comfortable and had more bathroom amenities (like kleenex) than I found at other hotels. Breakfast provided a lot of hot/cold options. While waiting for my cab, I walked around the grounds which are quiet and would have been meditative if not for the set-up of a carnival! The staff was marvelous!!! A great stay at a great price and very convenient and short amount of time to get to the airport.

- JohnZOhio (10/5): Beautiful facility and grounds - We stayed here the night before we flew home. Having a car, this was a perfect location for us as well as the perfect hotel. We left the hotel, filled up with gas, returned the car, and made it thru security in less than 90 minutes. Quiet location on a park with a monastery and a superb restaurant. Being of Czech heritage, I’ve had years of pork dinners and the local restaurant had the best ever pig knee and potato pancakes.
- SaraSkov (10/5): Mesmerising winter in Prague - I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The area also covers a church, a monastery, an old monastery that has been transformed into storage area, and of course the hotel. We arrived late in the evening, driving in towards the hotel was like entering another time zone. Very quiet and serene. Checking in was easy, and staffs were helpful too. There are 2 levels and rooms are pleasantly large. The public transport, buses and trams are within walking distance. It is a few stops away from the central square area.

- Qin (10/5): - A very interesting hotel in a Monastery. The rooms on the first floor probably better than the ones at the attics. The whole monastery complex is quiet and beautiful. Continental breakfast is okay. Front desk Staffs were nice and helpful.
